The management was so rude. I called customer service and they placed an order for me and it was immediately cancelled. They said it was a receiving issue and it hasn't been corrected which is BS because yesterday it said they had 0 and today the inventory updated for that item. I've been to his location dozens of times and the customer service is always exceptional. There's never been a time where what I wanted wasn't in stock. Today, I visited this location to purchase rocks and other items for our yard where we tore up bushes. A few days prior to this visit, my wife and I were greeted by Terry in the gardening section. He helped us pick out rock and told us how much was in stock. On todays visit, he greeted my friend and I. He helped us load 40 bags of rock, helped us push it to the checkout counter and helped us load it onto our truck. His customer service was above and beyond. Cynthia helped us at checkout. She was friendly and even recommended a product for yellow jackets after I told her of a nest on my property. Both of these employees are exceptional and this location is lucky to have them! I returned about an hour later to get a few more things and CJ at the checkout was very friendly as well. This location is always great and I recommend this store for any home needs! read more

I've shopped this Lowe's several times and I'm quite happy with the service selection and value. I recently replaced all my kitchen appliances through Lowe's, Hagerstown. I purchased a range in november 2023 and it did not work properly after 8 tech visits, Frigidaire said to replace thelace the range, on 4\4 it was out for delivery the driver said it was damaged he could not deliver it. I ordered a Simpson mobile trailer pressure washer and nowhere on the website does it say some parts has to assemble, even the trailer tongue hitch is not assembled on the trailer, the customer has to assemble these parts. The add even says they will deliver how? On another trailer so the customer can assemble this thing. How can you advertise this without that information info. The impression I got I pay over $5000 to order this and all I have to do is backup to the trailer and drive off. The add even says ready to use. So basically you would need to bring a trailer to pic up a trailer. One of the employees even ask did I bring a title, really a title on something I've not even seen. SMH. All these neg. reviews and not one response from Lowe's- that should tell you something about this store. Some folks just like to complain-- but other reviews should be addressed. The other day, numerous folks wandering around the appliance section-- no one (Lowe's assistant) to be found. (2) guys on loaders-- a store intercom call for assistance and these two guys are like "is that for appliance?" No one moves to assist. Then, one guy comes over to address me, however, I wasn't even the customer that stepped forward and asked another Dept. if there was anyone around. I watched this guy walk toward me-- and ask if I needed help. I point to other customers and state we all do. (He flat out lied to me & stated, "No, I asked them and they don't need help.") My question was quick; I ask. Then quickly turn to the other couple - did you get help, "No" they replied. No one cares here-- truly a DIY experience. I purchased a Husqvarna 42" cut mower in late March in an attempt to get ahead of the grass cutting season. Since May and June in this area experienced drought like conditions, the use of the mower was limited to a handful of times. In early July, approximately 107 days after the date of purchase and 100 days after delivery, the mower would not run. When I went to the service desk I was informed by the manager they only had a responsibility for up to ninety days from purchase and the problem was now between myself and Husqvarna. I was handed a number and told to contact the manufacturer. To add insult to injury, the callousness and general demeanor of the manager had much to be desired. After this experience, I fully understand why their ratings on Yelp are so low. This is one franchise and company with whom I will avoid doing any future business. read more

It's hit or miss at this Lowe's. Sometimes you can walk in, be greeted and get great service. But more times than not you can't find an employee to answer your questions. Seriously, where is everyone??? They have decent inventory, however you better know what it is you want. Because some of the employees are clueless about their inventory and what they should have in stock. It's sad when you have to know more than the people who work there. read more

Employees here are some cranky jackasses who don't know anything. Had a microwave delivered to my mom's house from this Lowe's and it took them 3 weeks to deliver it all busted up. I come to Lowe's almost everyday for landscaping supplies. I came for a few bags of top soil and you didn't have the type I usually get on the shelf that it's usually on. So I got what you had but as I was leaving I saw the bags I needed behind the fenced in area. So I went and returned them and came back to lawn and garden to get the others. The cashier (the only associate in the entire lawn and garden department at the time) had no clue what to do and couldn't help so she paged someone. I waited 10 minutes and no one came. I went back and asked her if there was someone she could call and she said no but she would page again. After that I waited another 10 minutes and no one came. So I took it upon myself to call the store from my phone and ask customer service to send someone over. Their solution was to page a third time. I waited another 10 minutes and still no one came. So now a total of half an hour... just to speak with an associate. I then took it upon myself to physically walk over to customer service myself and ask to see a manager. I was informed that there isn't anyone they can get to speak with me because all of the managers are in a meeting but they can page someone for lawn and garden again, which they did before I could even answer. This time, someone called and the cashier spoke into the phone and said "where is he?" "Ugh he needs to be fired, he's never where he's supposed to be". At that time it had been close to 40 minutes and I was late for a job so I told the associate nevermind and that I'd just go to Home Depot. read more

Ordered a sliding glass door first week of June, installation was set two months later. Install date goes by without an email or phone call, I call and they say it will be another two weeks. That date goes by, and no email or call. I call again, same thing. This went on until mid October when I finally get a call from someone saying the door is in and they want to set up a time to install which mid November, great. Get a call about when they can delivery the door. Deliver? Their installed doesn't pick it up and bring it here to install, someone drops it off and they wanted to leave it at my home a week prior to install. I ask to schedule for the day before, they agree. Come a week before I get an automated message at 8PM that my door is scheduled to be dropped off tomorrow morning at 8AM. What? I call and luckily am able to talk to a person before they close and have them move it back to the original date. The delivery the door on the right date, and now I've been sitting home all day waiting for the installers. Guy calls last night asking if he can move the time from 11am to 1pm. Sure, then he calls at 1:30PM and says they are running behind it will be another 30 minutes. Fine. 3PM rolls around and I call the guy and ask where they are at, and he says I'll find out. Says they will be there at 3:30 now. Sigh.... read more

I normally don't shop at this location, but I was in the area and decided to pick up some mulch on my way home. I paid for 16 bags and was told to pull around back where an employee would be waiting to load my vehicle. So I pull around back while several employees look right at me, yet continue to sit there and bs instead of helping me. So I get out of my vehicle and ask them if they need my receipt. One kid gets up and runs off, refusing to help as the other one is yelling and begging him to stay and help him load the mulch. The kid that stayed then starts loading the wrong mulch so I tell him what I bought was a few skids back. Me, feeling bad for the boy working in the heat, decide to get out and help him load it. As I'm doing so, he starts complaining about how they're not allowed to accept tips... then has the guts to say "but if you slip me a tip, I won't say anything!" I couldn't really do anything but laugh... as I had loaded 11 of the 16 bags myself! When he realizes this approach isn't working, he then starts asking me about my personal life... am I single, how old am I, etc? I tell him I'm definitely old enough to be his mother (he couldn't have been more than 16-17), to which he replies... "I like older women" and asks me my age. I tell him 40 and he says, "well you've still got your looks." Ummm... gee thanks! Then he still goes on about how I need a guy like him in my life as I drive off and tell him to have a nice day. Such an awkward situation and so very inappropriate! After thinking about it on the way home, I called to report him (first time in my life I've ever turned in an employee) and was told they'd call me back after talking with a manager. Needless to say, I never received a call back! All this on top of the fact that out of the 16 bags of mulch I bought... almost half of them were a totally different color and texture! Nothing was done about that either. I've shopped at Lowe's my entire life but this experience alone may be enough to make me switch to Home Depot. read more

I see so many workers very engaged and ready to help..... if you are not black. If I could give this place negative 10 stars I would. My 72-year-old uncle ordered a fence. The salesperson Mark and the installer Angela Lyons working on our case never let my uncle know that dirt removal is not included in the fence installation. The fence is currently being installed and they just told us about this yesterday about the dirt. They said it's going to be $400 for them to hall the dirt... $400!!!!!! This is something that should have been mentioned when my uncle was sold the fence. On top of that, the installer Angela was told weeks ago that a second gate was not needed and she said that she would remove it. She did not and the second gate was delivered... now they are saying the second gate can not be returned and my uncle will have to pay for it. This has been the absolute worst service ever!!! My uncle is 72 and CANNOT remove the dirt on his own. The fact that they are now telling him that it will cost him $400 more to remove dirt and pay for a gate he told them to not add on to the order is ridiculous. Unacceptable service especially for elderly customers. I will never recommend this place to anyone!! read more

This store is terrible. I ordered a washer and dryer and the delivery service they contract with was terribly rude and inconvenient. The customer service at the store was equally bad and rude. Hateful even. The only way to get anything done is to talk directly with the manager. I found him to be completely stupid and unable to solve the problem I had with the delivery company. I returned the washer and dryer because it couldn't be delivered. Stay away from this store if you need delivery or installation. Bought a $600 LG washer. Had it delivered. The delivery guy cracked out pipe while he was turning off the water at the valve. Water was rushing down the wall in my basement. Had to call a plumber $325 bill. Plumber had to cut a nice size hole in my wall to fix it. Basement half flooded. Lowes would take no responsibility. Advised me to deal with the 3rd party delivery company. Even though I didn't even KNOW there would be third party people involved until the washer was delivered. Delivery company would take no responsibility either. Had to do a chargeback on my credit card. I will never buy anything expensive from lowes again. read more

Very attentive, polite people. I was able to be in and out quickly, finding just what I needed. There was someone nearby to help me as soon as I walked in, and a gentleman--I was told his name is Terry--was very helpful and knowledgeable, answered my questions, helped me select exactly the kind of things I was looking for. This store is dirty, unfriendly, poorly stocked and not much help in customer service. When we first walked in there was absolutely NO carts at the front of the store. When I asked an employee about where the carts were he responded by saying "in the parking lot" and went the other direction. Now I'm perfectly capable of going out to get my own cart, but it was the way he said it and the attitude that ticked me off. Then we went to purchase two dusk to dawn motion lights in white. We had purchased two the week before and decided we liked them so much we wanted to add two more to our house. We went to the aisle and only could find brown, so i pushed the button for assistance because there is never anyone around to help you; as I waited I looked up the lights online and it said the store had four in stock. When the lady arrived to help us, I told her all of that information and she simply said "yep don't look like we have them". She then asked my husband to search through boxes on the shelf to look for the white ones, again yes we are perfectly capable of doing this, but we had already done this once before seeking help. She then called the store on Shank's Way in Hagerstown and asked them if they had any, thankfully they did. We went across town and walked in the store, there was a kind and knowledgeable employee by the name of Don who took us right to what we were looking for, we exchanged pleasantries and headed to the register; where a lady named Christina checked us out with a smile and again was so polite. We truly hate going to the Lowe's on Wesel Blvd. but sometimes it's the one that is in the direction we are traveling. The manager at Wesel Blvd. needs to go to the manager on Shank's Way and get some help on how to run his/her store. read more

bought a freezer almost a month ago on line from martinsburg,wv.store now order was sent to Hagerstown md.still no status on freezer ,,last time a spoke to some about the freezer was about a week ago.and was told it was in,today called about the freezer .and ,,after two or three times calling still no answer on freezer...really worst service ive ever received from lowes..after all the phone calls from today ,it looks like it is due the 12th..keep your fingers crossed for me,,,,,well finally off phone with real nice lady that knew what was goin on with freezer,which will be here the 12th..but not jn store till next week,,maybe tll see freezer by end of month...plus one star for nice lady that knew about freezer read more
