This store should be ashamed of themselves. On a Saturday there is absolutely sparse staffing. Waiting over 42 minutes for customer service is outrageous. Store manager clearly is nowhere to be found. I would never start a project with this particular Lowe's store and I encourage others to shop elsewhere. I do know what has happened with the Howell Lowes, but the customer service is absolutely horrible! The "supervisor" in flooring had no idea what sisal was. Had no idea Lowe's had ever carried Olefin. Had no idea how to find wall to wall carpeting on the Lowe's website. A very bad experience. My hot water heater died as the result of a burst pipe in my home. I called Lowes to obtain a replacement. They had one delivered and assured me that their installers would get everything installed for me. Ever since the installation of the new hot water heater through the installation company (called 800 Heaters), I have had trouble with my hot water. With my old hot water heater, I never had any trouble with my hot water. With this new heater my hot water lasts no time at all. If I take a shower, for instance, my hot water lasts only about 10 minutes then the water goes cold. I have a 30 gallon tank, I am the only person living here. I am quite sure that one shower isn't going to empty a 30 gallon hot water tank. I have reported the problem to Lowes who told me I had to call their installer. The installer tells me that there is nothing they can do. My old hot water heater was over 40 years old, I have lived here for over 15 years, and never once did I run out of hot water while showering - not even when my grandson has stayed with me and we both took showers on the same morning. There is something wrong with the heater or the installation, or both. Now when I call the installer they promise to call back and never do or they promise to come take a look and don't show up. A terrible, on-going problem. Apparently neither Lowe's nor 800 Heaters backs their products or their workmanship. read more

I ordered a dryer from Lowe's to be delivered. The woman who talked me through the ordering process was very helpful and was upfront about all the charges. We set up a time for the dryer to be delivered the next day and someone from Lowe's called later that evening to give me a delivery time window. The next day the delivery driver called me a half hour before he arrived. The two delivery men were friendly and respectful of my house and installed the dryer quickly and took the old one away. They even went the extra mile to clean the floor and wall before putting the new dryer in place-nice touch. read more

He helped us find the cooler, got it down from a shelf and got a cart for us to transport it to checkout. He also helped us with a trimmer we were looking for although it was out of stock. We purchased a "solid surface" counter from Lowes. It took 4 months and when they finally brought it in both pieces were cut wrong and had to be taken back but they also put 3 very visible seams in the island. We were never told there would be any seams but the visibility and location of the seams were so terrible that it looked like a jigsaw puzzle. When we canceled the order they said we could not get our $1000 deposit back but also charged us for a template fee (which was wrong)! and a material and fabricating fee of $800. Basically they want us to pay them for measuring wrong and throwing some scrape pieces of material together and trying to pass it off as a counter. Mind you, this was not cheap, $5000. Lowes also contracts out so I had to deal with 3 companies, Lowes, some IME company and LE Smith fabricators. The fabricators are the ones that fucked up but Lowes will not take any responsibility and they are the ones that hired the fabricators! Shit show from beginning to end!!!!! read more

Trying to get them to deliver and install the washer / dryer I ordered has been a nightmare. First attempted delivery they were 2 hours earlier than the 4 hour window they gave me, and the washer was damaged. They said they'd send a replacement and gave me a 4 hr window a week later - but it never went out and no one told me, so I waited around all day for no reason. Finally they deliver the thing I ordered but oops - they can't install it - that's a different team. This is after calling half a dozen times to try to straighten this all out...(and not getting called back after being told I would be). Update: They scheduled installation finally and we got a call ahead. But oops - turns out that team doesn't come to our location that day. When I called them for the 30th time, I had to yell because their phone system is awful. The manager said he'd try to sort it out - and again never called me back. Finally the installers came out today - but in their brilliance they connected hot to cold and cold to hot on our washer (which could not have been more obviously labeled). Also - not great at keeping the masks on their face. In conclusion I feel sorry for anyone who has to deal with this Lowe's location for anything complicated...avoid it if you can. read more

My husband and I just bought a brand new Made in America washer (Maytag) at Lowe's. The salesman was very polite and informative and helped us make the right selection. I bought it on Thursday it was delivered today Saturday. Both delivery men were extremely polite very professional my husband and I were trying to move a small bookcase for easier access to the laundry room area. They told us to step aside and let them do it, they said it would only take them a minute. They took the old washer out with ease brought the new washer in, hooked us all up ran the first cycle to make sure it was working properly. Couldn't ask for better service! from beginning to end this was a pleasant experience, all except for having to spend the money to replace my appliance! Ha ha ha ha ha! read more

I purchased a service from Lowes for a 3rd party install. This went horrible and I have been trying to get resolve from Lowes. I was told in the store that not only would I have manufacture warranty support but also Lowes corporate backing. I was also told this by the contractor who came out. I paid for the install through Lowes but now that there are problems, Lowes tells me to go kick rocks and my issue is with Leaffilter and Lowes will offer zero support. Now have the issue of the product causing property damage but also spending time, money and energy into legal recourse. Never will 1 Penny of my money ever go to this store again and hopefully a grassroots effort will help others avoid this money pit. There used to be a time when integrity and honesty was a thing. So we bought our new house and wanted the entire floor done with laminate, We took a couple months looking and found the one we liked best, it was at Lowe's of Howell. We were currently living with family we figured we would go with Lowe's again since this was a different location. Ordeal #2 (Nightmare) on October 6th, My wife and I ordered our floor and installation for our home from Lowe's of Howell (paid over 13k). the product was delivered just around Oct. 28th it was all wrapped in plastic wrap on a large pallet in the garage so I left it alone. when the installers called (a few days later) they said they would be out the Next day to install the floor. I explained that all the flooring was in the garage and not acclimated to the house temp or humidity, According to the installers that did not matter? (that raised a red flag) so we called Lowe's installation services (they told us yes acclimation was needed) and they told us to move all the flooring into the house and they scheduled the install the following week. our house was Completely empty at this time. the day of install my wife came in the morning to let them in now part of the install was they removed and hauled all the old flooring, they charged us extra because we had sheet vinyl in the kitchen and eating area, to Just Cut around the cabinets for the vinyl the charge was 840.00 plus 677.50 to scrape it up and haul away total of 1517.50 anyway it was around 5:30pm that night me and my wife had not heard anything from the installers so we decided to drive over and see how it was going when we arrived and walked into the house the leader of the crew had told us they were just about done. we were shocked wow that was fast! as we walked through the house I noticed all the quarter rounds were White, I had Specifically ordered wood color to match the floor the leader of the crew said the white looked great we should continue to install them and let them finish the job I said NO WAY. so my wife and I left the house the installers said they would clean up and leave till we received the new mouldings. the next day we returned only to notice 480'= 24 bags of backer rod that was not installed or anywhere in the house (they left 1 bag), also 9 tubes of the silicone caulk missing and no signs of caulking being used anywhere, then we realized they never removed the Vinyl theY just covered it with the flooring and did not use the proper underlayment as that would have made the floor uneven. Which Voids the warranty on pergo flooring wet protect. on top of that my wife noticed all the transitions they put in the doorways every one of them had nails sticking up! I had 4 pieces of transitions and some of that dissapeared to. so we are trying to get the correct quarter round from Lowe's the flooring personnel at Lowe's even admitted to making the mistake and ordering the white ones. now this is from October 6th we made 5 extra trips to Lowe's to get the mouldings and we were either told they were there and when we arrived they were not or they did not have the correct amount. We finally received the correct mouldings on January 15th. now to jump back to December 9th that was the last time we have heard anything from Lowe's Installation Services they had called my wife to come out to finish the floor and my wife got a little upset told them they have done Absolutely nothing about the installers stealing our flooring products (FYI any unused flooring product you have you left can be returned to get your money back) and we still at that time did not have the quarter round mouldings they still owed us. The lady at Lowe's installation services said my wife was being Snarky and hung up on her this was December 8th or 9th This was the last time we have heard from them. except the supervisor for the flooring installers came out to look at the floor on December 18th with his approval I recorded the whole conversation HE WAS SAM FROM CJ Flooring and Supply. he said he would call us back he has never talked to us again.. so to sum things up, 16 weeks later my floor is not done and have heasrd nothing about my refund????? we spent over 13 thousand dollars and sit here with a unfinished floor last week we finally got the rest of the product Lowe's owed us (15 weeks later) and 5 trips to Lowe's my gas my time with 0 Compensation, it sits here on our floor uninstalled. The installers who Stole flooring supplies from my house and completely ruined my floor voided my warranty have done nothing! CJ FLOORING AND SUPPLIES I AM SURE YOU CAN BUY MY FLOORING STUFF THEY STOLE IN THEIR STORE FRONT. I started a claim Number with Lowe's on December 9th we have heard nothing from Lowe's, their installation services or the installers!!!!! I went to pick up an order for my mother that she had called in the previous day. The lady who took the order was amazing and my mom had so many good things to say about her! When I went to pick up the order, the woman at the customer service desk was not as pleasant. I said, "I'm here to pick up an order for Madeline" and she replied, "I'm gunna need more than that... you can't pick up by a name... what's your order number?" I purchased a chainsaw at Lowe's. My anniversary is in August. I decided to purchase it in June when I had some extra money. It sat in a closet unopened and untouched until the day of our anniversary. Turns out there was a defect with the saw and he took it back to exchange it later that week. He was turned away because "only a manager can do the exchange" and one was not scheduled that day. He called a few days later and was told a manager was there and he could bring it back for an exchange. Again, he was turned away because "it was purchased more than 30 days ago" though he just received it. He was told he would now have to mail this heavy, awkward, saw directly to Husqvarna and wait for them to mail back a saw that was not damaged. This was my first time using Lowes and I have never experienced such a headache trying to exchange a product I purchased that was damaged on arrival. Not to mention, I did not purchase the saw from Husqvarna, I purchased it from Lowe's. They should have made it right and in a say thats is convenient for the customer, the way every other business operates. They refused to see the logic in my expectations and chose to send me on a wild goose chase anyway. I will never purchase another thing at Lowes ever again and will recommend family and friends not shop there either. -First and LAST time customer. read more

My husband and I purchased a Maytag washer and dryer with free delivery and hookup. On the day it was delivered the washer could not be hooked up due to our shut off valves needing replaced....ok no biggie. The dryer was supposedly hooked up but it looked like a a Rollercoaster ride. Plus in furth inspecting the vent actually fell off .... I called and they sent someone the next day. Same thing happened except to keep the vent on they used duck tape on both ends with again it looked like a roller coaster. I called and the lady I spoke with said you're better off hiring someone to do it. Which I did but I also wanted some kind of monetary reimbursement. I keep getting told we are checking into it. That was 2 weeks ago. I would never and I repeat NEVER have them hook up anything. We could have ad a fire. ..then what??? Ordered a dishwasher on 5/4/21 was called and set up install for 5/17/21 they didn't come until 5/18 had my dad at my house to wait for dishwasher they installed the wrong dishwasher so I had to call Lowe's and reorder the dishwasher I was never given an apology or anything which is fine, then was called by the installer again to set up installation for the correct dishwasher The install was set up for June 1 I received a phone call the morning of June 1 from the installer stating he was at Lowe's and they never re-ordered my dishwasher, I waited all day and never received a phone call from anyone from Lowe's the only person that called me was the installer which is a third party not Lowe's so when I got off of work I went up to Lowe's to speak with the manager I was told the manager wasn't in I spoke with the assistant manager Megan in which I told her everything that happened and how I still have not received one phone call from Lowe's not one person called me from Lowe's She told me the dishwasher was ordered today and wouldn't be in until June 29 I then canceled my order told them to come get this dishwasher that is the wrong dishwasher and I will do my business elsewhere never again will I purchase anything from Lowe's terrible customer service And they won't give me my money back until they get the dishwasher back so now I get to miss more work not a happy customer. read more

My husband and I bought a snow blower this season we were told it was out of stock but would be in the following week. We thought no big deal we wanted to get the same price. The Lowes staff informed us they would call us the following week to keg us know we we could stop in to pick it up. That week came and went no call from Lowes. So the following monday we called and were told it was in that we could stop by to pick up our order. We made special arrangements by borrowing a truck to get he snow blower home only to get there and no one knew what we were taking about. They told us it should be in at the end of the week that they would call us. Again no call. At this point we are wondering did they even order it for us? We had already paid for the item a month prior. Finally we called they told us it was in and that we could get it that night. We get up to the register and the check out girl seemed annoyed that she had to help. All around not a great impression of the store. We will not be back anytime soon! read more

Very frustrating experience trying to get a dishwasher delivered and installed. Their process is cumbersome and first the installation person came to the house expecting that the delivery had already occurred. Then we got an email from Lowe's saying that we were all set, only this was the delivery only and not the installation. We paid to have our old dishwasher hauled away but nobody knows how this is to happen, and now nobody seems to know when the installation will happen. Total incompetence. read more

Lowe's In HOWELL, MI, beware for fencing install. Hired to install fence that cost over 10k, salesman was great on day one, paid up front, after that's been a mess, and 2 months later still no resolution. They were late to install by a week (after waiting 4 weeks and past promised date). Then install was rushed, installer never saw project until day of install. Rushed job, lots of damaged posts, gap issues, crooked areas, damaged grass and planter beds, damaged driveway. Took the project manager 6 weeks to come out to "look" at issues after, comes during early evening when dark. RUN RUN from getting a fence installed by the subcontractor and even farther from Lowes for not standing behind the people and product they install. We have been patient and tolerant but enough is enough after trying to resolve the issue after 6 weeks read more

I will never use Lowe's installation services again. I had a massive remodeling project on a house. I hired them to do flooring and replace lighting fixtures. In both cases I got bottom of the barrel contractors. The flooring was subcontracted out to someone who subcontracted it out again. They did a lousy job and the vinyl flooring was coming up in less than a year. The electrical stuff was of the same quality. Don't use their installers, you will regret it! read more

I bought two new storm doors/ screen doors they were the high end doors. After they were installed the front door storm you could not lock. It would jam and you could not get it unlocked. I called the store they said for me to take the handle off and find some number. I refused so they said they would send someone out. It took quite awhile. The person came out and acted like I did not know what I was talking about until he tried to unlock it. He then said they needed to order a part. This took quite awhile for that. After the part was put on it still jammed up when locked. Called the store again they would send someone out, again quite awhile. The service person they told me it was doing that because it gets hot. I never was told not to buy these doors if the sun shines on them. Then the service man came back again moved some thing and the lock still jams up. After all the money I spent it should work. The other exact door on the side of the house works great. Never has the front one been fixed. All I know is the front door is one main exits in case of a fire. My kids know if there is ever an issue they will go after Lowes. read more

I will never, EVER, use Lowes again. We hired Lowes to install a new front door for our home. We signed the contract in March of 2021. It took until July for the contractor to come out to install the door, and he didn't finish the job. He said he would be back in two weeks to put up the exterior trim. After three weeks, I called Lowes customer service to inquire on the status, and they said the contractor marked the job as complete. I explained what had happened, and they assured me they would get the contractor back to complete the job within another two weeks. It is now mid-September and my front door still has no trim leaving my house exterior exposed to the elements. I have called Lowes at least 15 times trying to get someone here to finish the job and all they say is the contractor doesn't answer his phone. NOT MY PROBLEM!!! I hired Lowes, not their contractor. I am now awaiting a refund from Lowes and I will hire my own contractor to finish the job. I will NEVER set foot in a Lowes store ever again!! They have lost a customer for life!!!! read more
