    First time at a Bordine's.
    Rachel D.

Hubby and I visited Bordine's because we had a gift card. This location is closest to us and it's about 30 minutes from our house. There were quite a few shoppers when we arrived about 12:30 today (Sunday). The outside entryway was inviting and nicely decorated with plants and there were plenty of shopping carts or flat beds. The outside area has scrubs, trees, and perennials. The inside has annuals, veggie plants, outdoor furniture, and decor. We were easily able to find a couple of shrubs by following the posted signs. Also, each tree/shrub had a description with info such as overall size, hardness zones, shade/sunlight, and more. This was very helpful. The place was well organized, there were plenty of signs, and many cashiers. We felt the prices were high so for that reason (and the distance) we probably wouldn't go back. Although I enjoyed looking at all the beautiful plants and arrangements.

First visit ever to a Bordines. Surprising seeing as though they have been around so long and are a big company. We usually stick to non chain places for all of our gardening needs. We were disappointed with Bordines unfortunately. Trying to find employees to help answer questions was not an easy feet.  When we finally found someone they weren't very friendly or helpful. Maybe because it was close to closing time I'm not sure.  The selection of Vegetables and Herb plants was underwhelming. Just not a very large selection especially with the herbs. Pricing?....a lot higher than what we normally pay. Which considering that this is a Bordines it's pretty much what we expected. We did end up going with a large potted Tomato Plant for the porch. I had not purchased one yet for the season so we decided to get one here. *Fast forward a few months into growing season. The plant from the first week had a sickness which we had to treat. So everything that grew pretty much had rotted on the bottom except for a couple. Total waste. I definitely think we will stick to our usual store for now on.

Definition of perennial. It confirms that the hydrangea should be included in the promotion.

I asked him why $45 was crossed out and it says $35 and he made some excuse. This is not the only time he has posted this same post so it's false advertising and I won't be going back here. Not an honest business and false advertising. I was disgusted that anyone you ask there has the exact same answer like they were all taught to respond to someone bringing up the Facebook Marketplace ad the same way. It was obvious. Then when I asked why it was crossed out they all sputtered some bs excuse. So while I wanted to like this place I won't go back and if you fall for their FB Marketplace ad you have been warned. A shameful attempt at reeling people in then screwing them over. The only reason I drove 45 minutes there was because of the ad. Really shady business

They have a great selection of items to choose from, and prices are competitive and fair. What keeps me coming back is the staff. Their super friendly and are extremely knowledgeable. They also have regular sales and keep up with seasonal stuff like pumpkins, Christmas décor and other stuff as well. They also stand behind their products so if you buy a tree or plant, I think they will credit you if it does die. Don't quote me on that, but these guys really do stand behind what their selling. Overall a fabulous little nursery in a world of big box stores, we love coming here for just about anything!

They have a very broad selection of merchandise to include clothing, hunting gear, animal, food, barbecue stuff, tools, and the list goes on and on to include live chickens and ducks! Nice! I specifically came to this store as they are the only store in the area that sells lumberjack wood pellets for barbecue smokers. These are some of the best pellets you can buy and if you are serious about how you do your barbecue, they are one of only two pellet brands I use with the other one being bear Mountain. The price was cheap in my mind, $10 for 20 lbs, with a nice selection of pellets to choose from. The only other option to get these pellets in our area is buy Internet purchase for a SIGNIFICANTLY more money! Overall, a nice country style store with a huge selection where if you are in the area, you should definitely check them out as I believe this chain is fairly new to Michigan

I won't go back though.
