Purchased a 1,000 vanity that came with a scratch in the sink. They only offered 50.00 off due to the damage. When speaking to customer service Erin, she even called the manager who stated over the phone they wouldn't give any more. Their carpet installation crew did not rehang one of the bifold doors. said the carpet was too tall. the other three doors had the same carpet were hung. Did not install two of the transition strips. Just warning you, DO NOT ALLOW Ho Depot to deliver anything to your house! They hire third party companies that don't speak English and can wreck your home without liability. If they ruin your hardwood floors, they say it's not their problem. If they cause your house to flood for a bad installation of a washer drain hose, not their problem. Poor service, poor delivery, poor staff and management! Corporate doesn't care about their customers, only money. $18000 in damages and additional $600 in flooring because some foreign idiot was lazy and ho Depot hires the cheapest immigrants! I've decided to take my business elsewhere to my local Ace Hardware. My experiences at Home Depot have consistently left me frustrated, and today's encounter was the final straw. On April 19, 2024, during the early afternoon, I endured a 25-minute wait at the paint register without any assistance. Two customers ahead of me became so fed up they left. The "ring for customer service" bell seemed to serve no purpose, as it went unanswered. Eventually, another employee had to track down the paint department staff member. When she finally arrived, her attitude made it clear she found assisting me bothersome. read more

Was supposed to have a dishwasher delivered today. They didn't show up and when we called, they said they were there at 8:30 am and knocked and nobody answered. We were there waiting, took the day off work and they never knocked. We have a ring doorbell and we checked and nobody was there at 8:30 or near the time. They said they called 6 times and we didn't receive one call. When we called and the operator gave us the number they were calling it was the wrong number, she says they can't change it to the correct one. Ridiculous!! Do better Home Depot! read more

Had problem and confusion regarding patio set purchase with free shipping. Long story short, the set was shipped to howell and then returned to grand rapids and was lost on the dock. If it had not been for a stellar employee at the service desk, Erin L., would still be a mystery and we never would have received it, but were charged for it!! Erin spent much time with us making calls and getting things figured out. Eventually, she was able to cancel the order and let us pick up the set in-store because, thankfully, they still had a couple left! For 17 years this store has been one of our top choices for all things home improvement. In the last three months we have a received a broken appliance that a GE technician confirmed was dropped en route and Home Depot will not replace, refund, etc. We also ordered $6000 in flooring, half of which was the wrong color & we have gotten the run around about any sort of remedy. We spent about the last six months working on a house that needed renovation and this was one of a few locations that were on the way. The staff is always friendly and helpful, including the return desk. We had to exchange two cabinets at two different points in time and they made the process easy. We were also able to get all of the blinds for our project thanks to the woman working in the area- we thought we might only be able to get a few but she made cutting down the blinds a quick and simple process! read more

This home depot is the worst. Do not go here, do not buy here, if it is on the shelf then you are good otherwise stay away. This is my second such incident with them in the past 6 months, I should have learned after the first time. My wife and I bought a dishwasher on November 8th, after 5 delivery attempts I still do not have a functioning dishwasher and local management refuses to take ownership and do anything they keep placing the blame on the third party installer. I don'care I am home depot's customer not the third party. 2 damaged dishwasher, 2 attempts to deliver and didnt have the parts to install, then local manager tells me to accept delivery and he would get the install completed, nope not going to happen have to wait another week. WTF? These people are an absolute joke, I hope Mark Brown understands how his field personnel are treating their customers. In case anyone was curious about my order from Home Depot - since its been 2 weeks, and no one has bothered to call me about a replacement. I called them again. Still no dryer, still no eta either. Found out that they no longer make the one I ordered back in june. So. They'll get back to me on what they will give me for a replacement. When they will get the type they're going to replace it with they will let me know.(doubtful at best with ME having to call them). When I asked the samsung representative about when she expected that to be, she hung up on me. I didn't raise my voice, I didn't swear. I was politeand explaining that I've heard the same thing she was telling me. I've been very patient this whole time because I understand how frustrating it can be to be a customer service representative. But. Hanging up when i ask the question - not ok. So. Im back on hold. Another 30 minutes later. They don't have my dryer and someone will be contacting me within 72 hours (same thing they told me 13 days ago mind you). And they will let me know what my options are. If it doesn't match or they dont anything comparable, I'm just out..... and they won't let me return the washer that I bought it with, to have a matching set. Asked what I could do, he gave me no options. I asked if I was getting a discount since I have to cart my laundry out of the house and pay to do it, even though I've already paid to have a dryer in my home that I don't have- his reply was that I needed to wait to find out IF they will do that by contacting the store manager a the howell location AFTER I GET A DRYER. So. This is great. How can you run a business with customer service like this? Without standing behind ANYTHING?? I get things being out of stock, but just to allow a customer to buy your product with NO guarantee of even getting it? AND when they call to ask, you get hung up on??? I didn't even raise my voice when I asked. Just. Asked and click. Thanks home depot! I will be taking ALL my future home purchase business elsewhere. Issue #1 - Absolutely horrible experience. Paid for one window in May 2021. It was supposed to take 4 to 6 weeks to install. Home Depot set the appointment to install in Aug 2, 2021. I take time off work for them to arrive and install my window. I received confirmation call prior to the installation day that they were coming. I called at 8am Aug 2, 2021 to confirm they were coming. I was told yes and given the window of 8-10am. I waited until 10am. No call no show. I called them back at 10am and was then told they're not coming. I told them I called at 8 and was told they were coming. To which they replied "I don't know why you were told that. They're not coming". Time goes back and I get another installation date of 9/21/2021. Home Depot rescheduled because an installer didn't show up. Time goes by again. New installation date of 11/5/2021. Yep 6 months later my window is installed. Paperwork for the double lifetime warranty wasn't provided to me still to this date of 1/12/2022. I was told in Nov 2021 that I would have a gift card sent to me as compensation for the numerous delays, no shows, aggravation etc. Still don't have that gift card as of 1/12/2022. The project manager that had been working on this project and trying to get my compensation to me was transferred to the other side of MI. Still trying to reach him or a competent person at the Howell MI store to rectify this matter. Issue #2 - Last week I went into the Howell MI store to look at storm doors. The young female employee that was in that area was more concerned with drawing on a poster board than doing the job she's being paid to do which is helping the customer. I asked her if she could assist me with some questions on the storm doors. She remained at the desk and tried speaking with me from across the way. Seriously!?! At one point she did come over to the doors but was useless. I mentioned the fancy glass and wondered how it work look against an interior door with fancy glass. She said and I quote "the fancy glass is ugly and old looking". Yep, what a salesperson to discourage products your store literally sells. It gets better... I mention how I currently have an Anderson retractable screen storm door in the front of my house and I wanted the same door for the back of my house. She told me that I'd need to get a Larson storm door for that. Basically, telling me to go to Lowe's. The lack of care and lack of knowledge of this female employee was incredible. I am so fed up with Home Depot that it just might take an act of God to get my business back. Home Depot, you better start listening to your customers or you won't have customers to worry about. You are not the only company out there selling what customers want. read more

Don't try calling the lawn and garden department they will transfer you 5 times and not pick up. I have had this happen twice in the last couple weeks. I press 2 for lawn and garden and get lumber.. they are using the wrong phones for the wrong departments. Management is obviously terrible at this store. Made one call to Lowe's and got my answer quickly. I will be going there from now on! 4/9/19 Oh and another fun thing that happened.. I bought a tractor on credit and they told me, 0 % interest for 24 months. Ok. I got rang up and as I am signing they say, oh it's only 12 months interest free. I agreed because I planned to pay within a year anyway.. I get my statement and it's 6 months interest free. They didn't apply me for the "promotion"!! Seriously stay away from this store. It's Home Depot located in downtown Howell is a fantastic location with a lot of stock I was able to find things I could not find any other Home Depot's locally. This Home Depot was efficient and fast and I had no problems finding what I needed. I recommend some deeper to those who live in the whole area or does he need to sign more than they can find at their own home depot trust me I've been there. read more

FRAUD !!!! Went today to finalize order for carpet for 3 rooms. The man at the flooring desk was out of his element, that is he should not be allowed near a computer. First, he could not find our measurements which were done 2 weeks ago. Twenty minutes in, pick out a padding, and then we gave him our carpet and he could not read the skew number, so I think he guessed. Order all set, but he can't review it with us until we PAY FOR IT! Ok, well we pay but then find that he charged us UP charges for furniture moving that is not in the rooms. To the tune of $400.00. Then he charged us $100.00 for installation on a carpet that that met the minimum requirement for free installation, but since he ordered the WRONG carpet the free install was not part of it. My gosh ....what a mess. He left us standing there and did not return. We went to the customer service desk and cancelled our entire order. Done with store. Waste of time and they tried to steal money from us. Charging us for things that don't need to. So who do we call on this - State of MI consumer fraud? read more

We spent over an hour in the store looking for someone to help us with our project. We were sent from person to person being told you need to go see someone else. Cash in hand, we're ready to spend the big bucks and the one person we finally hear can help us is too busy on the hi-lo to help us. after waiting two months for the wrong carpet, from measure to install date, we never got the right carpet. we were blamed by home depot for ordering the wrong carpet. we had the sample square in hand. do not deal with these people. it has been a hassle from start to finish, and we had to find another store who could help us. way too much drama for us. their installers are rude and can not understand the english language. come on home depot, straighten out your act. you lost good customers who spend money. we will go to lowe's from now on. read more
