Any place that has automatic checkouts gets three stars right off the bat in my book. It's so nice when you're in a hurry to not have to stand in line waiting for an employee to ring you up. That being said, this Lowes is typical of most with a good selection and ample supply of just about everything a homeowner or builder would need for their project or job. I was replacing some deck boards and found exactly what I needed. I also grabbed some Minwax and a paintbrush for a porch swing that I had cleaned. This review is as to the store on CR 210 in St. Johns, Lowes' corporate, and their believed delivery/appliance installation vendor (RXO). We recently had an absolutely horrible experience as to a failed delivery with Lowe's and their apparent vendor, RXO. We live in a gated community and the driver went to the wrong gate. He did not follow signage giving him directions to the main gate, and failed to return messages or calls when I tried to direct him to the main gate. He simply abandoned the attempt, so far as I can tell. Calls to his dispatch center and Lowe's (customer service, store, corporate) failed to resolve the situation. I will do my best to avoid working with this entity, or Lowe's, in the future. read more

I love Lowe's! Normally I give it a 5 star but today no way! I give it a less than 1 star. The one thing I hate about Lowe's and some of the other big box stores like Lowe's is they use the customer carts for loading wood or other items for their own storage in the isles!!!!! I had to walk back outside to find one which there was not. I walked up and down the lumber isles and every lumber cart was loaded with overflow wood items. I hate this!!!! I had to load 20 pieces of lumber that was 8' long on a shopping cart. Lowe's; I think you can do better than this! If the store associates need to use lumber carts for their work get some carts that's only specific for them and NOT customer lumber carts! If not you need to order double what you currently have. These huge home improvement stores could sell a whole lot more, if there were more employees around to help a puzzled customer. I hate having to look for someone to help me. One the lighter note, I do like the self check out and also going to the Cashiers. Either way is fine with me. The store is very organized and clean. Also, when a person is working on there home and waiting to check out, they have bottled water for sale. What a life saver. Overall, they are a good operation and fair prices. read more

3 stars for overall experience. I've made plenty of online orders and only one was cancelled, which was a custom paint order. Lost a coupon offer because of that, but not a deal breaker. The curbside pickup has worked for me, 0/2 times. I've learned my lesson and go inside every time for online orders now. Waited almost 15 minutes once, 10 minutes the next time. Last time I came here to do a return at 9am in the morning - Had to wait at least 15 minutes while 4-5 employees were figuring out whatever it was going on. Only two customers were being helped in front of me. There's been a couple time I've had to grab something from the store shelves and the app is mostly accurate when needing to pinpoint an item down to the aisle and section. read more

I love this Lowe's because (a) it has everything, literally everything, and (b) the associates are generally super knowledgeable. I walked in once with a string trimmer that would not start, and a guy spotted me from afar and had it running in 30 seconds. I hate this Lowe's because (a) it's pretty much impossible to find something you haven't seen before without the specific guidance of an associate, and (b) there are about 1/4 the number of people working here at any given moment than there should be. On a given Saturday afternoon, prime time for home improvement, there was literally no one working on the left side of the store. I know, because I walked every aisle hunting for someone. I had to do this because all the call buttons for assistance were broken (I'd speculate intentionally, by someone who doesn't want to have to respond). The employees go out of their way to not only ignore you, but stay within eye sight to just make sure you're not shoplifting. The worst is the middle aged dude with glasses in lawn and garden that acts as though he's curing cancer. Dude you're pushing petunias and miracle grow, relax. I got on the phone and called over to Lowe's while I was driving towards the store because it was getting kind a late and I got connected to a super helpful associate name Matthew. He was so wonderfully friendly and helpful and didn't give me grief for trying to talk to him on the phone about my plumbing issues. This is the reason I come to the store. The employees are so much better than that orange big box store down the street. I also had occasion to run into an employee named Attley who is also exceptionally friendly and kind. So, I got a call from this store about an item I wanted to purchase yesterday (Sunday) that was not priced. I asked for assistance and someone was called but never came to help. I ended up taking the item to a register to see if I could get some help with the price. They could not help me avd called for assistance. I met with a very nice young lady who stated - after leaving me once - that they needed to speak to the store manager today (Monday) to get the price and that she could not sell it until then. No problem. Today, I got two phone calls, no messages, from the store. I called back and immediately got an automated voice recording, got to an individual who then placed me on hold. I decided to drive across the city to find out what the answer was while I remained "on hold." When I arrived at the store, I walked up to the Returns Desk, phone in hand with volume on and phone still ringing. No offer of assistance or even acknowledged standing there. There five associates there and no customers. Moved to the self-checkout where I ran into the young lady from the day before talking with a team member. They finished their conversation and turned to me where I asked for the Store Manager, phone still in hand, still ringing for someone to answer my call. I showed both of them the phone, the store telephone displayed, and the time I had been on my call. 25 minutes. No Store Manager was called. I finally got the price after she told me she had called me twice - again, no message left - and I left the store with no purchase. Waste of time and no customer service - And I finally hung up the phone. Oh, and no Store Manager. And one less customer to serve. read more

Typical Jacksonville Lowes store: No one to help or answer questions, garden section to the parking lot closed and no cashier available. No carts available in the garden section. Walked from entrance at the middle of the store to garden section, then to lumber to get a cart, returned to the garden section. Loaded the 40 retaining wall block by myself because no employees could be found. Walked back to lumber to check out. Then had to load the 40 blocks into my truck by myself because no employee could be found. This store is tailored to the contractor, not the homeowner. read more

Why 3 stars..... 1. As you make eye contact with staff on the floor, they turn and walk away. 2. When you win the game of chase, the staff member openly shows contempt. 3. When you can't find the item you want and staff tells you it is in stock at 2 other stores....(No exaggeration, this happened yesterday). Me: Is there a way to have the item delivered to this store? Staff: Ma'am, you should go and get it yourself. That way you'll get it quicker and it won't be broken. Hmmmm, silly me. I should have driven to a store across town in the first place instead frequenting the one in my area. Other than these experiences,... It's clean. You can usually find items you want. This is a really great Lowe's. I've been here before over the years, but since we just bought a house we seem to be in here a good bit lately. We're trying to get everything ready before we actually make the move and Lowe's has everything we need. We picked out and purchased new carpeting here for the entire house. We also got paint from here since we're repainting most of the rooms. We also purchased a bathtub insert thingy (what are those called again? LOL). Those were the big purchases. We've also picked up little things like a new outdoor light fixture for the front porch (we wanted one with a sensor), pully things for ceiling fans, and even some new outlets that have USB ports in them. Who knew they make outlets with USB ports?! I stumbled on these while we were walking around and did a frickin' happy dance right there in the aisle! LOL And yes, as a matter of fact, I did have my bright green Mike Wazowski hat on so people were really looking at me funny! Hahaha The employees have been really helpful and knowledgeable. Trust me, I've had a lot of questions about some things. Shopping here has been just an all around great shopping experience. I know we'll be back before the move to pick up more items, and I've also got my eye on some things for our new pool area. Yep, people, we now have a pool! WhooHoo!! read more

Curbside Pickup is where it's at! I knew I needed just a few things for the days project and didn't want to be tempted to wander around for hours browsing. I downloaded the Lowe's app on my phone, made an account, and started and paid at the online checkout. Within about 4-hours I received an email letting me know it was ready and I headed to the curbside pickup Parking spot at Lowe's. The associate who came out with my order apologized for the wait time for the order to be filled. She explained the store had a higher than normal amount of orders. I was happy to be patient and wait however. I left with my outside wood stain, brushes, and deck screws and headed home to start my projects. We will use and recommend Lowe's curbside pickup to everyone! read more

As is par for the course, DO NOT USE LOWES FOR INSTALLATION SERVICES. They are the absolute worst customer service you'll ever experience, if you ever get a response from them at all. This is now the second time I've used them for install services. And 100% the last time ever. I paid $35.00 to have an estimate for a replacement of an identical sized electric water heater for the same thing. From the start of the process, Lowe's was absolutely horrible just like they were when they installed windows at my house. I will never, ever use them for any install services ever again. I had to call them to follow up from each part of the process. Not once did Lowe's ever call me once. They had no clue about the type of water heater I needed despite me paying $35.00 for that very reason, and had to actually tell them what kind of heater I needed. No one had a clue what the other department was doing. I was then quoted with over $1500 install and water heater price. The water heater is 450.00. There is nothing that has to be done other than swap it out for the new water heater. That is an absolutely insane installation price. Called a local reputable plumber (Terry Vereen Plumbing), which I admit I am insane for not doing instead of Lowe's, and they priced it out within 3 minutes over the phone, and for 1/3 of the price for installation that Lowe's quoted me. I will never ever ever ever use their install services again. They are incompetent morons. Just for a good laugh I've attached the email they sent for the quote for my water heater (which is not a dishwasher). Piss poor, zero attention to detail or customer service. read more

We searched high and low for a light like this and after we got it home, we opened the box to see the receipt from the first purchaser was still in the box. The point that frustrates us the most is that it is clearly visible that this light was hung and used before we made the mistake of buying it. The ground wire turned green from corrosion. Would you hang this outside your home? Why aren't Lowe's employees trained to properly check returns? This would be a different story if it only cost $10.00. I want to be made aware in the store that what I am looking at to purchase is new, or is it a broken or damaged return that nobody cared about passing along to loyal customers. read more

Absolutely abysmal customer service. Ordered a washer and they scheduled delivery 2 weeks out. Called the store on the day it was scheduled to be delivered, but they kept dodging my call. When I finally got thru and got to speak to a manager, he connected me to the delivery department. The guy I spoke to was very difficult to understand. Come to find out another store will be fulfilling the delivery. Call the other store, no help as it's a Sunday. Come to find out they rescheduled the delivery an additional 3 weeks out. We had carpet installed 3bedrooms ,great room and hall ,within 24 months it started to buckle bad in every room ,there is about 5 different wrinkles about 4 foot long and a couple inches high ,in the master bedroom you could trip over it .Ben told it is the carpet not install. I took pictures and gave to George the Flooring supervisor July 2023, he filled a Claim with Installer and they refused to cover, He then sent email to Vendor . Every other week for a couple of months I would return to store and get same answer WAITING TO HEAR FROM VENDOR . After about 3 months George and I met with Store Manager who said he was meeting with installers and would call in a couple of days ,after a couple of weeks and no call . It is a shame that George gets no support from Management team . worst customer service ever. I have spent alot of money on appliances,fencing,tools,carpet . NO MORE CUTTING CARD UP. Buy your major appliances ANYWHERE but Lowe's - they do not back the extended warranty (it is outsourced to a company in India). They refuse any assistance in expediting a warranty claim, and just fall back on "well, you will have to go through all the steps" - 5 weeks and counting, with a 3rd service call tentatively scheduled for 2 weeks from now...and still no dishwasher, no call backs, zero customer service, if I could leave negative stars I would - I have been their dream customer for over 20 years, but never again. read more

I have never been so angry over a purchase. My wife and I purchased a $2,799.00 Whirlpool Refrigerator in February 11,2022. On July 19th it quit working. When I went back to Lowe's, I was told that I would have to deal direct with Whirlpool since I didn't purchase the extended warranty. After numerous calls to Whirlpool, they contracted Fields Appliance Service in Orlando to repair this refrigerator. Field's came out today for the 4th time and the refrigerator still doesn't work. Stem to stern, head to toe, near to far, top to bottom this Lowe's customer service is terrible. Went here with my step son who was buying a dishwasher. They paid for it online so were just there to pick it up. Every employee interaction they had the people were rude, unprofessional and slow. The dishwasher finally makes it out the door and the employee that brought it out just turns and walks away. No offer to help them get it loaded. Thankfully, I was there (I'm in my 70s) and between my son and I we got it on my truck. Had I not been there it could have been terrible. My son has had 13 major surgeries on his spine and hips and my daughter in law has MS. SHANE ON YOU LOWE"S!!! And you know what shame on the individual employees. We came in this location looking to buy a weed trimmer for my fiancés lawn care business. The website said there was only one was in stock. We get there go over to where they are and they are all locked up.. no big deal. So I go and find an associate and ask for assistance to get one down. She said she would call someone over we waited and waited and no one came to assist. I walked to the end of the aisle and there are literally 3 people standing around. So I go back down and wait some more an associate comes walking down the aisle with a buggy.. yayy finally.. nope just kidding.. seen us. Made eye contact and walked away. This Lowe's is trash, I literally walked across the store mid afternoon on a Friday shouting for help and got no response, as I was shopping in the Plumbing section there were several clear plastic bins loaded with eight or nine different types of stops as a worker in the service industry that is unacceptable way to organize your plumbing items or any items at that it took me entirely way too long to find one product on top of trash everywhere and nobody working in the middle of the day on a Friday unacceptable terrible will drive 30 minutes out of my way to avoid this "establishment." read more

Lowes.Com is a throbbing disaster in the online ordering world. Placing an order for multiple items, all bearing the "Free Shipping" byline, will frustrate a jobber to the point of baldness. Items will arrive in dribs and drabs, one of three from one location, the other two from another.. If it arrives on a Lowes truck, your "free delivery" will disappear into the ether, and you'll incur an $89 delivery fee (for a $48 light fixture). Other items will be on FedEx delivery, from any number of unknown locations. Estimated delivery date/time is a goal post that they keep on moving while you sleep at night. An order for light fixtures placed on 5/10, with a delivery date of 5/17, will subtly change to 5/18, then 5/19, then Monday 5/21, then Tuesday 5/22. This morning, after my fifth phone call, Lowes.com says its on the FedEx truck, but now the delivery date is 5/23. There are awesome people in your local Lowes store. I've known many of them for 20 years. But ONLINE ORDERING is NOT this company's province. Leave the Amazon business model to the professionals, guys. Never again. read more

My go to for anything DIY, mainly because it's close. I do enjoy the garden center... they seem to have a lot of variety for flowers, veggies and fruit trees. And I've had great luck with the vegetables, flowers? Well, I tend to kill em quickly it seems. We got most of our urban garden stuff here, and decent prices on soil and fertilizer. And, of course, since it's a Lowes, you can grab everything from light bulbs, paint and paint supplies, outdoor lighting and furniture, etc. The space is laid out well, plenty of parking, and if you go hungry, that sausage truck is usually outside and smells delicious! read more

Message I sent to their district manager due to the store's management failatures: Store Number 1691 Transaction Number 16066730. Date of purchase 6-7-21.  Time of Purchase 7:42 PM. To start out with sorry if this email sounds angry but I am very angry at one of your stores. I just spoke with Kelly a manager at Orange Park Lowes who was able to answer the phone and speak to me very professionally and finally addressing my issue. However the managers, employees, and professional at the store located at 5155 Lexox Ave Jax Fl 32205 has been extremely unprofessional throughout the week with 0 resolutions. I made an order on Monday at the store and I was told it would be delivered at 8 AM the next day.  I confirmed with the customer service rep and she said 8 AM Tuesday. I generally shop at Home Depot for my property management companies.  However this time I wanted to give Lowe's a shot.  Stupid me. Tuesday rolled around and i called the lowe's delivery customer support number. After a 45 minute wait time and no answer I tried online.  It couldn't find my order.  I called the store.  I was told oh sorry we don't have a driver and we can't tell you when we are going to deliver it today if at all.  So instead of wasting my entire day I said ok, send it tomorrow. Wednesday, no driver again.  No time estimate.  No resolution.  My job is now two days not being worked and i am out 300 dollars.  I know the store doesn't care because it doesn't come out of their pocket or the managers or the employees so why should they care. I called again and spoke with a gentlemen no name given as usual.  He said no driver at 9:30 AM.  If a driver doesn't show up they will put it on a regular pick up truck even it takes two shipments. I asked how long should I wait until if I don't receive a call.  He said 12. I called back at 12 because there was no call back.  No one knew he said it.  I spoke with a manager after 5 to 10 attempts.  However I don't believe it was a manager because he wasn't sure what to do.  I was on hold.  He told me after researching that they got a driver and they were loading it.  It was then 1 PM at that point.  It should be there in about 30 minutes. 3:30 I call again.  Oh we haven't sent it out yet.  I spoke with another manager, the afternoon one.  He said he didn't know what was going on.  Now this is assuming i am talking to managers and not just customer service people.  I was put on hold.  He said he would call me back.  I called again at 4 PM.  I said can you transfer this to another store and stop wasting my time.  They said no.  They said now we have a driver and they are loading it at this time.  Once again I waited hoping I would get it. Finally received a call that a guy was on his way.  However the grill can't be sent. After I received my construction materials I asked about the grill.  It won't be sent today because of the flatbed issue.  Ok fine, then why not send it today on a pick up?  I was told it will be sent tomorrow. Tomorrow rolled around, now Thursday.  No call. No grill. I was working my project that I was already two days behind on so I said screw it.  I then gave it Friday and nothing.  No call, no grill, no delivery. So today Saturday I called and was put on hold about 5 times.  Then after the fifth time of the manager transfer hung up on me the customer service rep told me not to talk to her like that.  I told her I was pissed and I have been hung up over 30 times this week.  I have been waiting for a delivery for 5 days and no manager will answer the calls now.  So after five more calls of no answer from customer service I called the Orange Park store. I spoke with Kelly on the first call.  I was relieved to finally have someone answering calls and trying to find a solution. After this experience I will never shop at that lowe's. For the most part because of their behavior and lack on concern, problem solving, professionalism, and inadequate manager responsibility. I am currently waiting on Kelly's ability to speak to the other store, cancel the order, and ship the grill from her store. I didn't ask for any refunds, any discounts, or start a fuss until today.  However now I have lost my patience. I hope I can get my grill and never have to do business with that Lowe's store.  That store has now cost you a customer for life.  Not only that I will make sure no one else uses that store that i do business with.  Not Lowe's in general but just that store so they don't have to put up with the same bullshit I did.
