my online order went to wrong store location and when I tried to change stores I was told after several conversations to come to my state ave store and they would have ten bags ready with 10 percent discount THEY DiD NoT we had to get bags ourself they had to get remaining bags down from storage and didn't give discount til reminded The entire staff was unhelpful and incompetent poorest service ever! read more

Worst customer service I have ever seen. All we wanted was to be able to look at a specific riding mower and possibly buy one. Well every single person in that department was in a "meeting" apparently. Then when a worker just showed up, he completely ignored us and brushed us off when another worker was trying to ask him to help us. If you want people's business, you should do better! read more

I bought cabinets and appliances from Lowes in Cornelia, Georgia back in October. They have been PAID IN FULL for over a month. We received notification via text last Wednesday, December 21 that the cabinets would be delivered Thursday, December 22 between 3:00 - 7:00. Room was made for the delivery and help organized to not only assist in the delivery but also to help mount the cabinets. Not only were the cabinets not delivered on December 21 (and still haven't been delivered as of December 26), there was no further communication from Lowes, Downstream Logistics (the delivery service), or Diamond Cabinets. I called repeatedly Friday and Saturday with no phone pick-up response from Lowes or Downstream Logistics. Today I did get Lowes Corporate in Charlotte, NC to contact the local Lowes in Cornelia, Georgia. They told me that I should contact the shipper. I purchased the cabinets from Lowes. It should not be my responsibility to continue to attempt to contact the shipper. I realize it was a holiday weekend - the scheduled delivery was to be before the holiday. Even more disconcerting is that communication was totally neglected from Lowes, Downstream Logistics, or Diamond Cabinets. Customer service is null and void. I bought a dishwasher at Lowe's ,The lady in the appliance department, Ramona helped find the exact model I had bought 9 years ago, noted some improvements but assured me it was the exact size of the old one for easy installation. The scheduler, Leah worked with me to get an install date ahead of the holiday. and it was installed today. The installer was a real pro, 45 minutes in and out, showed me how the old installed dishwasher had a hose twisted and made the drain back up and the pump work extra hard. I expected a good install but I did not expect him to show me why he was running the hoses a certain way and why the old one failed! 5 stars read more

I have given Lowe's many chances but today I am done. They do not care about customers. I have good credit and mail my payment in about 10 days in advance. Yes, I know the post office is struggling. My payment was at least 10 days late. So, I was charged fees, interest and a fee for a paper statement. Then, they had a flower give away if you reserved your spot which I did. Lady at the giveaway said the only way to get my flower was to download their app. I am not about to download the app as I have too many anyway. Plus, that is not what the giveaway said. It was a thanks to my rewards customers. So, deceptive. Lastly, I had them install windows and the guys left 2 inch openings in the tops and sides of the windows. Did not notice them at inspection since they put the blinds back up. Noticed them 2 years later when I took the blinds down. Had been a loyal customer for 26 years. Done. read more

I had a very good experience with all the staff at this location. After searching the garden dept for more houseplants to add to my collection I noticed several plants that needed to be saved. I didnt want to pay full price bc I didnt know if I could save them. The friendly customer service staff was able to contact management (i think his name was Bill) to have the plants marked down since they were near death. Fortunately, I was able to save some money and some plants of after repotting. I still end up spending more than I was supposed to, but with the friendly service, discounts, and more houseplants to add to my collection.....it was worth every penny. Good job bc I have other reviews for other locations that will not get 5 stars you received. read more

Like Kmart, this Lowe's has a number of check out stations but usually only one open at a time. Many times, the checkers are surly, unattentive and lazy. It seems to be a struggle for some of them to have to check you through and take your money. Alas, this is the only Lowe's for miles and the prices are nice and inexpensive. Some of the guys out on the floor. Others could care less and don't have the time to even give decent information. I go here when I know what I want so I can get in and out with minmal interaction with the staff. I usually use the Westlake True Value down the street at 74th and State Avenue if I need an expert's advice. read more

Went to Lowe's in the afternoon to buy a riding lawnmower, unfortunately nobody would talk to me. I was just approved for a line of credit with Lowe's and was told over the phone to show up with my driver's license and I would be able to make the purchase. I waited in the customer service desk for 15 min and nobody talked to me, so I left. I went down the road to Nebraska Furniture Mart and I'm happy to say I'm the owner of a new riding lawnmower. They need to shut down the counter top area. First, the old grumpy lurch that works in the area is a CLOWN!!!' Not a funny clown, but I said, "I'm gonna need two of those." Too which he semi helped with one and then walks off like I didn't ask for a second. I got more help from the plumbing guy on my counter top than I got from the moron back in countertops. This Lowe's sucks!! They constantly have the "Help requested in... name a location of the store...." as the background music for the store. I bought my son a washer and dryer for his new house. The washer broke and when my son tried to return it they treated him like a criminal. Like he was trying to get one over on the store. Terrible. I had a printed list with pictures and descriptions of exactly what we needed. At any other home improvement store, there is a greeter. Someone who can point you in the right direction as soon as you walk in. Not here. First thing on my list is a lawnmower cover. I figure out the department and ask an employee where they are. He shouts out an aisle number then flees like his house in on fire. Thanks. Second on my list are bolts and washers. I find that department and ask an employee to help me. He doesnt work in that section but he'll page someone. So I wait then wait and wait some more. I ask another employee for help who is able to flag down the person in charge of the nuts and bolts section and she snaps back with, " I cant help you, if I dont clock out in one minute I will get in trouble." What?!!? If you are helping a customer your manager will what? Write you up??? I show her my list, she rattles off what it says and runs away. Ok. Me and the guy from another section Google what I need and eventually we find it. Last thing on my list was fuses. Again no one working the department but there are like 9 cashiers so I ask for one to page for assistance. Deers in headlights. I repeat myself and one girl lights up. Good. The gears are turning. You would think this experience ends with, We finally found everything we needed! But instead it ends with the guy working the electrical department ogling with uncomfortable pick up lines to the point where I just wanted to leave. Not here to hook up. I duck and run to the register with nearly half of my list fulfilled. Did I find everything ok? Not really, I'd just like to get out of here. The cashier starts listing places that sell fuses. I tell her no thank you, if she could just ring me up so I can get out. Still cant process my order but starts giving me turn by turn directions to the nearest place. This isnt 1992, I have GPS. I ordered a back door on Thursday. It was suppose to take two days for a call when it was going to be put in. Took Three. Was suppose to be put in on Monday at 3:30 No show no call. Had to call the store. Got put on hold numerous times. Finally called the man directly. He had to look at his records at 4:00 to see if I was on the list Stated he would be out yet. Later called and stated he couldn't make it because it got dark. He would be calling back to reschedule Stated I should be the first one on Tuesday morning He said oh no we have appointments What the Hell. I was in Lowes today and was told by the Manager/Lead that my Veterans Card could not be used any more. I have made several purchases over the last few weeks and today buying three rolls of Ditra (expensive stuff ) I wasn't allowed to use my discount card. When I asked, when did this rule go into effect? I was told it's been like this for a while. I have made two purchases one on July 16th and 17th and I used my same Veterans Card. Today, 6 days later I'm told I can't get my discount. Will not be shopping a Lowes. read more

i bought a 35 pound sack of bird feed, with other needed stuff. when i got home i went to the bed of my pickup and the sack of bird feed had so many small black bugs on it , the bag looked like it was moving. i immediately took it back and found a clerk watering plants outside. told him what i had and he told me to take it to customer service for a refund. i told him that i wasn't going to touch the bag let alone take it into the store because of a bug infestation in the bird seed. he called his assistant manager and he told him to take me to the customer service and tell them to give me a refund. i did get a quick refund but when i told them they needed to check the rest of their inventory (looked to be 50 bags on pallet) they didn't seem to give a damn about a bug infestation. told that to a number of people and no one seemed to care. don't buy bird seed or anything that might be used as food for animals or humans in this store. read more
