Florida 2025: Unfortunately with the Gen Z and Millennial folks who hire new employees, they will not hire Gen X 45-60 years old or any senior age 60 and older. The preference in hiring is someone in their 20-35 years old range and preferably Spanish speaking. In interviewing potential new employees, loyalty to the job, never calling off, willing to work extra shifts, coming in early to work, working really hard and enthusiastically, being customer oriented, dressed professional in interviewing with a professional resume and cover letter, having college degrees, and having relevant work experiences mean nothing to the Gen Z and Millennial hiring folks. BUYER BEWARE We purchased a freezer and had them deliver and set up the unit. It did show excess condensation immediately, but we assumed it was because it was in the garage. (unit designed to be in the garage) It started icing up immediately at the top and I noticed a small area at the top of the door that looked damaged. We called within a week of their delivery and they said that they couldnt do anything about it because it was past the 48hr window. NOWHERE DID IT SAY THAT WE HAD 48HRS TO RETURN A DEFECTIVE ITEM. They said we had to go through the manufacturer. We jumped though all their hoops with pictures and videos and required steps to perform only to tell us that it was normal. The unit never shuts off and feels hot to the touch. This is the second one we bought as we liked the 1st one and we had no problems at all with that one. So this isnt normal. If you buy anything from LOWES you should know that you have ONLY 48 hours to find out if it is defective. If it is after that you are on your own with robots and AI telling you that the defects are your problem. Very poor way to do buisness. We have been a customer for years and because of this we will no longer trust them our business. read more

Mosquitos in the garden area... not just a few but so many we could not even shop. In 5 minutes, I have 4 massive lumps/bites from them on my legs. I had to leave and go to the car. My husband talked to a staff person there and they stated that the manager knows about it and refuses to do anything. I won't shop here again. I wanted to purchase some blinds, so I brought measurements I had taken to Lowe's, but was confused by the sizes (I admit to being not handy). I asked for help in the store and an employee told me someone would come assist me. I waited a good 15 minutes or more and no one showed. I was told I should do the order online. Since I'd never installed blinds, I wasn't sure which questions to ask. When I was told that an installer would come out and do measurements and the blinds would be cut to fit, I assumed (my mistake) that meant the blinds would actually fit properly and was never told anything about "length alteration" and that it "isn't included in the base price." When the installation was complete, I noticed that some of the blinds were extremely bottom heavy, with way too many slats stacked on the bottom. The lengths had not been altered. The installer asked if I was handy and said there are YouTube videos on how to do that. I admitted I am not handy and said that is why I was paying a large amount of money to have them installed. I was not told in advance that "length alteration was not included in the price." So, they installed the same size blinds in windows with much different sizes. They are so bottom heavy it looks ridiculous and is tough to lift. Lowe's may be a decent place for those who are handy, but for those of us who aren't, it seems they are just happy to take lots of our money and could care less if we are satisfied with their work. read more

I believe it to have been a return since there was only the machine inside VERY DISAPPOINTED that they even had this on the shelf. 30 min drive each way. Only to find out the product is CRAP. 2 - I wanted a mower that mulched. THIS is not that machine. PLEASE train the people in your dept to understand what the customer needs and know what they are asking for. I volunteered to help with a gardening project at my church. The church dedicated a whole area on their property to planting only Florida native plants. I don't know anything about Florida native plants so I went to Lowes, on Wednesday, April 6th, store # 569, and asked for help. David, who was working as the cashier in the garden center was very nice and said to speak with Derbylle. He then went out of his way to locate her for me because she was working on the floor. Derbylle was right in the middle of something when I asked for her help. She stopped what she was doing and immediately went to work helping me find what I needed. It is so nice to know there are still people in the workplace who are willing to go that extra mile to help a customer. Both David and Derbylle are an asset to your company. Lowes in Leesburg has extremely poor store management. Store management and corporate policy is not pro-customer. We bought soil there recently -the 2 cubic ft bags - and needed help to get them into the car. The associate called for assistance at least 3 times and no one came. Customer Service then tried calling and no one came. After waiting for just under an hour, had to leave and struggled with the bags. I am still wincing from back pain. I recently purchased 2 Chamberlain WiFi enable garaged door openers from Lowe's. I purchased installation via Lowe's and I was charge an installation fee for both garage door openers even though it's a single job. An installer from D & D Garage Door arrive within the allotted time specified. The installer was very personable and upbeat. In my mind I thought this was going to be a great experience. I thought wrong. My brand new openers have scratches on the bottom of the devices. It appears that after the rails were installed the motor was being drugged across the garage floor to connect the rails to the springs. Why not put down a mat or towel to prevent scratching? I also discovered drywall debris inside the cover on both openers. That finding made me investigate even further. I discovered the tech made the holes in my garage ceiling larger for no apparent reason. By this time I starting to fume. The straw that broke camels back was finding that one of the garage door opener button that is mounted on wasn't firmly secured to the wall. When I called the company to inform them of the button not being secured to the wall they weren't able to send a Tech out the time. They recommended that I contact Lowe's to draw up another installation agreement. So I decided to fix the issue myself. I shouldn't have to do that since I paid my hard earned money for a professional. Also the Tech never cleaned up the mess that was left behind. I wish I would've took pics of all the debris that was left behind. Does the openers work? Yes Should there be scratches on the device? No Are you satisfied with your experience. Went to the Lowes in Leesburg Florida today. I think it's great that you can order things and just pick them up. Here's the drawback to that. The employees use the blue carts to put the orders on. So when a customer goes in, there are no carts for the customers shopping. I spent 15 minutes today looking for a lumber cart. Hey, I found on and started pushing it. You could hear the thing wobbling all over the store. You know, it's a home improvement store. You would think they would have the ability and parts to put new wheels on those carts. I finally gave up and paid for my three items and left. My opinion, there should be a place for them to put the orders and free up the carts for folks to use. That would also aliviate the carts lining the isles full of customers orders. Maybe put orders on pallets. I hope someone from Lowe's reads this. read more

I went in the Largo Fl store looking for a frost blanket for my plants. The lady in the Garden Center at the cash register was very nice and tried to get someone to help. She called over and over and 4 different people said they would get it. Excuse after excuse. It was too high and needed a fork lift. they didnt have a key to the gate. They couldnt do it without help. After 20 minutes of excuses I could see the young kids working there didnt care by their remarks and it just wasnt going to get done. One Spanish kid only had glib answers and had no intention of helping. One kid was wearing a darkened full face shield similar to a motorcycle shield and looked more like he was a terrorist than an employee. Lowes has really gone down hill. They all blame covid still and a lack of working employees. Here at Christmas you would think the attitude of helping would exist but not with the new society. I went to Home Depot and purchased it with no problem. I did call to report it to a store manager and after waiting for ten minutes on the phone I finally got someone that said the manager was gone but he was a department manager and would walk back to check on these issues. We contracted with Lowes to install laminate flooring in 2 bedrooms and carpet in the master bedroom. The laminate was a job well done but the carpet was one big blunder after another. The contractor was late getting to our house by 3 to 4 hours and did not finish until almost 10pm that night. after he left we noticed a line in the carpet that will not go away. after 4 months Lowes will not talk to us anymore . They refuse to come out and look at it even after we showed them pictures of a clear in in the carpet. They keep saying it will go away but after 4 months it is still there. This is just very poor customer service and we will never have them do work in our home or recommend them again. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! #lowesfails Went into the Leesburg Lowe's for a new kitchen estimate and a new carpet estimate. As usual we're mostly ignored, but we finally get a nice person to talk to about scheduling a kitchen measurement. Then we go to carpets, as usual the staff is waaaayyy more interested in their computers than a waiting customer.BUT WAIT! IT GETS EVEN BETTER! A very loud, very hyped, very rude man in Lowe's attire blows by my wife while she's politely waiting and starts yammering at the 2 carpet guys who have been ignoring her for several minutes about some big order he's got in appliances and how they have to help him immediately. I point out that he's rudely barged in front of a customer who's been politely waiting. His response? -- "Too bad I've got a huge order. I don't care!" My response -- "I'm done! I'm not buying a anything here. Ever. I'm calling corporate." His reply "My name is ANGEL ROSADA, Appliance Manager. Make sure to mention my name!" All is this while waving his name badge at me. No apology. No effort to make amends. He just doubles down on rude. Clearly, he knows that he'll never be called on the carpet for his rudeness. And I'll never shop there again. Run from LG refrigerators! Run far away! Made mistake of later buying LG washer and dryer before encountering this mine field. 7/31 Lowe's Ext Warranty talked to LG, telling them to give me a refund. I've called 3x over the last two weeks. Both LG and LEW say so sad too bad. NOT what I was told on 7/31. Last night I spoke w a rep who told me that her supervisor would put LG's feet to the fire. I was supposed to get an update by ebd. Today I call. There's no notation of the conversation on their record (mind you, it's a recorded conversation time stamped st al). I'm fit to be tied. I will be making an appointment to speak w the Lowe's GM here to tell them that Ext Warranty has been giving me the runaround. The customer service in this store is terrible! Picked up my online order and had to wait forever for the loader to come. The service desk employee (Lexi) who was no help and said I just had to wait as she took the next customer hit the code 50 page that blast through the speakers of the store or whatever it is for a loader come to the service desk, but how is that going to help when the pro loader is over by the lumber doors hiding on the side of the building lol. I know he is a pro loader but that day he was the only loader so that means you move around and not stay glued to the pro side. Me the customer had to go get him myself, never again I don't work there so I shouldn't have to. Didn't see his name but he was a darker skinned gentleman who just looked like he didn't want to work and has given up on life. You need new loaders and make sure to update their training on good customer service, you also need walkie talkies like they have at Home Depot to get the loaders to the service desk so Lexi doesn't just throw you to the side lines and tell you to wait forever and a day. I will drive a few more miles to Home Depot from now on. I never in my life have had to track down an employee in a parking lot to get loading assistance. Whoever this store manager is should be ashamed to call this his/her store. Good thing store managers are so disposable in big corporations like these. Had a ROOF done by Lowes. They do "subcontract the work" but the companies they have do the work are top notch. The PRICE was competively priced against Home Depot.... I gave them both a chance. Lowes won hands down. Chaz, a Manager at Lowes, handled everything in a stellar fashion. The whole team in that department are knowledgable, helpful, and make it a pleasure to shop there! AND... I got 6 months NO interest to pay it off.... also an opportunity to pay it over 5 years at a low interest rate.... cant beat that! read more

We recently moved to The Villages Florida. Upon closing June 3rd on our new home we decided on a flooring material called Smart Core because of its water proof properties. We decided to drive to Leesburg Florida to place the order as our local store in Lady Lake has a poor reputation for customer service with fellow Villagers. As of June 16 we were still waiting to have our new floor installed. The store had all the products except the transition pieces to complete the installation. After making a few phone calls we found out from Us Floors Lowe's representative that they had all the transition pieces in stock and it would be no problem to overnight them to the store, we were even willing to pay extra for this. Low and behold after all of this and talking to the store management they were all the sudden able to install our new floor the next day. After we were made to feel like we were part of the problem we decided to cancel the order and go elsewhere as we had lost faith in Lowe's ability to deliver the level of customer service one should expect after spending our hard earned money on this home improvement. read more
