I also did not like that we were followed around. The person who greeted us bird dogged us, not right next to us, always at a distance, but never away from his sight. That stuff creeps me out. If I have a question or want to buy something, I will come get you.

Inside, there is so much motion and so many staff members floating around that it honestly feels like a Hollywood set being prepped between scenes. People adjusting lighting, straightening decor, moving props, resetting the stage. It's impressive to watch but also a little funny because you start to wonder who exactly the intended shopper is. Whoever that lucky demographic might be, it is certainly not me. They even have a cute holiday special where you pick an envelope off a Christmas tree and win ten percent off. Very charming until you open it and see all the conditions. Valid for this item, not that one. Not combinable. Not transferable. Not applicable to anything you were excited about. Still adorable, just... selectively useful. The best part is that I genuinely do enjoy this store. The style is gorgeous, the furniture is unique, and it's fun just to walk around and take it all in. I just never end up buying anything because the prices sit about three times higher than what I can find elsewhere. It's unintentionally amusing in the sweetest way. A store called Almost Perfect that is, fittingly, almost in my budget.

Kellie Redman at the Lady Lake store went above and beyond to help me find a specific piece of artwork I had my heart set on for my new home. She found it at the Ocoee store on display as it had been discontinued. The manager Matt Miceli was going to Orlando and he stopped on his way to get this art and drive it to Lady Lake the following day for me to pick up at a much closer store. I loved this so much I wanted another one as it would be perfect in my guest bedroom. However, this was discontinued so there was only 1 showing in Florida. Kellie didn't give up--she called and emailed multiple City Furniture stores throughout Florida in an effort to track it down. One of those emails reached Shannon Gazzier at the Sarasota store. Shannon located the artwork, immediately contacted Kellie, and made sure I was able to purchase it. Since Sarasota is nearly three hours away, Shannon went even further by offering to have her husband meet us closer so we could pick it up. That level of kindness and dedication is something you simply don't see every day. Because of Kellie, Matt and Shannon's teamwork, persistence, and genuine commitment to customer service, I was able to get the perfect piece for my home. I purchased a bedroom set, a mattress, a sofa, a recliner, and a futon there, spending more than…read more$10,000. The sofa came with three powered recliners. One of them broke about two months after it was delivered, and replacement parts had to be ordered from CHINA. The estimated time for the parts is 12 WEEKS. In addition, the sofa has already started piling. We were told there is no fabric warranty for the sofa. And you cannot return any item once it's been delivered. I purchased from City for years, but the quality of the furniture they sell now has taken a nose dive.

It is now August 14, 2017 and we have half our furniture. We had a gouge in bedroom set foot board and that was replaced in a timely matter. We had to have the dining table replaced because it came in flawed and that was also done in a timely fashion. We are still waiting for a nightstand to complete our bedroom set, we were delivered the wrong entertainment center and it too had a damaged door, and we are still waiting for an electric reclining sofa that was promised for June 23rd delivery. The owner is frustrated with us??? His wants to cancel our items that are nbot yet delivered (over four months now) and charge a restocking fee!! Have not received any money back although he said he would mail out a check (three weeks ago). If you buy from this store make sure you do not pay up front
