I can truly see why the low ratings... I came in with my legally blind mother in-law to purchase some stones for her garden and the 1st gentleman was helpful steered us in the right direction... As I began to "ATTEMPT " Ato place these heavy azz bags I mentioned to my mother in-law we needed help in that the bags were too heavy... The worker behind us less than 4 feet completely ignored us... I must have said it no less than 5 or 6 times the need for help... Crickets... Out of frustration I loaded them up myself... The customer service at this load sucks. I ask an employee if they had violet flowers and they told me to google it. I asked another employee to help me find these flowers and they said they were busy. They were very rude and unprofessional. I do not like this Lowe's at all. read more

The last two times we went into the store, the service was awful. The shopping experiences were awful. Not a single employee available to help us with blind and shade selections. Even the manager said he didn't have time to help us. We left. We will buy them elsewhere. Then on Memorial Day when we wanted to buy some outdoor furniture, we were told "we don't have anyone working today." So why not just close the store! When we finally got help, the lady didn't have a clue. We made a purchase. It was suppose to be delivered this morning, but we got a text message that they cancelled the order because it wasn't in stock. What a waste of time. This store is totally dysfunctional. One exception is the outdoor garden center. We do still enjoy shopping there. But, from now on will totally avoid going in the store. Will try Danville location next time. read more

After vowing not to shop here again. I was in area and needed an item for this store. Going through self checkout which I knew this was a mistake. I needed assistance from employee. Within one minute receiving assistance. I had to walk away and leave the item at checkout due to strong marijuana smell coming from disorientated employee. read more

Customer service. My husband is disabled. Each time we have bought heavy items for remodeling our home. No help to load. Or no one wants to help you find something. It's sad. On there app they have sale price on items. But they don't honor them unless you order online. If I have to do self service. They may be out of a job. For me I will drive to Home Depot in Danville. Done shopping at this location. Worst customer service I have ever had. Employees are usually gathered together and as soon as you make eye contact they shuffle off in different directions. Have asked on more than one location where to find specific items and never once been told the right location. Yesterday when I was there to buy some Christmas lights was not even acknowledged by the employee who rang up my order. The store Manager should be fired for allowing this poor customer relations. Do not use this store for home installations. Do not go through Maxx for anything. I got a fence from him. He out sourced to Roy who sent his worker Robert here to install. Robert put up a crooked fence so I told him to straighten it. He then yelled at me. I called Maxx to tell him I did not want him back and he sent them back same day. Robert's coworker was apologizing for it he did something wrong. Robert starting laughing saying" oh it's not you" like it's funny. Maxx never told Roy. When him and his wife can out all she did was make excuses for Robert. No one ever told corporate till the end. Corporate said as long as the fence was stable there is nothing they would do to fix the situation. They also put mounds of cement above ground. You are never stopped to see that. I purchased a switch from Lowes on May 6, 2023 for $25.81 using my Lowes credit card. I tried to return the switch on 7/9/2023. After almost 2 hours of trying to find the order - I was denied a return because they were unable to find the merchandise using my receipt, credit card or order number. (Donnie) - store manager, stated there was nothing that could be done to provide a refund due to the limitations of their system. Curbside pickup order... could not check on with apo or email due to technical difficulties on Lowes website. Called the store while sitting outside and provided my order number. Placed on hold for over 20 minutes. Finally walked in store and asked about order and showed my phone so they could see how long I was on hold. Store rep said pickup person was at lunch. Really??? If you go don't use their delivery service or prepare to waste your time and money. I had a delivery window from 12pm to 4pm and around 2:30 I started calling to see if I could get a better estimate. After being transferred about four times I got through to their dispatch just for them to hang up mid sentence. And no, they didn't call back. I called a few times more and couldn't get through to anyone. Fast forward it's now two hours past my appointment window and I've called SIXTEEN times, each time I was put on hold and transferred with hold times exceeding ten minutes or leading to a line that didn't answer and just disconnected. I can say I work in customer service and I know the failed delivery isn't the reps fault so I don't take it out on them and remain calm. I almost cried a few times from the frustration but I don't raise my voice or curse so it can't be said that it's my fault for getting the run around. I got tired and finally asked for a manager at which point I was transferred four times even when I asked not to be. When I got a manager on the fifth try he told me dispatch called me at 10am and told me the washer was lost. I have the call log to prove otherwise. I did not get any calls from Lowes except for my appointment confirmation yesterday. So not only are they incompetent but they are liars. I then asked if I could just cancel the order because at this point I'm done and the manager said sorry and hung up. I now have 3 hours to sleep before starting a 10hr shift because Lowes can't get it together. read more

I would give them less stars if I could. I have spent approximately $17,000 for windows in the last couple years and have been trying to get install issues handled for the last year - and still no resolution. In fact, I can't even get an install manager to call me. I call the customer service line regularly and that accomplishes nothing. DO NOT ORDER WINDOWS from Lowes. The install company they use out of Roanoke is horrid and Lowes claims they have nobody else in the area to do install or even correct the issues that this company causes. So they do nothing to rectify my install issues. This is ridiculous. I have a window that the installers put a screw through so now it won't open, a window installed on a slant, and a picture window that is too small for where it was installed so I have a metal outside finish put in my house. They have no quality control, their choice of installers is pathetic and they expect you to pay for this. So over a year later - I still have screwed up windows. Ordered a range online waited 2 weeks for it. My husband went and picked it up and after he got it inside we could see the entire side was dented in. He then had to load it back on the truck and return it over an hour of time just wasted to take it back to be told "sorry ". I have always bought my appliances from lowes but never again. I thought at the very least they could deliver a non-damaged range and pick up our old one for all the trouble we went through but no. I will be using sears or home depot from now on. I just moved to the area and bought a new home, went to Lowe's. They were happy to take over $7000 that I spent in the appliances dept. Didnt tell me if they sent me faulty appliances it was MY responsibility for replacing and delivery. I paid for the frige over 2 weeks, it was delivered 1 week ago, on a Friday, with a faulty plug, it was shorting out. I had electrician out who said plug was fine, but fridge wire was shorting out when it was touched or moved. I had spent over $100 on the electrician and had already spent $150 on frozen food and meats. It is now 1 week later, Lowe's mgr said not their problem because they hire out the delivery service. Since Monday, 3 days after originally delivered, I've had a 4 hour delivery everyday, they keep coming out without the proper tools. Today there's a 12 hour window, 6 days since the original, faulty refrigerator was delivered, and Lowe's says it's not their problem. BEWARE CONSUMER!!! read more

My 90 year old mother purchased an LG washer on sale. The service was terrible. The sales associate went to check inventory and disappeared. Mom was told by another associate that the associate she was speaking with went to lunch. In the middle of the sale! Was told there was a 90 day return with Lowes and one year warranty through LG. Within 90 days the washer quit working after a storm. Lowe's informed her she would have to call LG. LG said it was most likely a circuit board which they cannot replace. Returned the washer to Lowes and the manager said the return policy was 48 HOURS AND MUST BE IN THE ORIGINAL PACKING. So, she's out over 700 dollars with no satisfaction from LG or Lowes. It's impossible to get anyone at the Martinsville location to help and if you can find someone, they don't know anything. Poorest excuse for management that I have every witnessed. Will never shop at Lowe's again!!! read more

I bought all my appliances at Martinsville, Lowe's from Jennifer when she was in the appliance department. She is fantastic. Caring and knowledgeable. She always went out of her way to make sure everything was taken care of and any problems fixed as soon as possible. She is the BEST !! read more
