I have a beef. I bought an item today at Lowe's. Not a huge item but because it was on sale I bought it. When I took it up to the garden check out they charged me the regular price, not the sales price. My second beef is at the garden checkout you can not see the price they are charging you. So after I paid I inspected the receipt and could see the over charge. When I bought the mistake to the clerk's attention I was told I would have to go to custom service for the refund. Is it just me, why should I be the one to go to customer service? They're the one who made the mistake. I think they should have corrected their mistake at the register. read more

I've been a customer of this store since April 2007, and with great regret I must report totally unacceptable customer service. I walked in at 10:30 am 25 June looking for help to replace a toilet water flow valve. After 3 minutes of looking, I asked a male employee to help me. I showed him a picture of the valve, and he honestly and professionally told me he didn't know much about plumbing, but he paged help for me. Ten minutes later, I went searching for help. A female employee saw me walking by, and asked if I needed help. I told her about waiting 10 minutes needing help. she apologized and attempted to 'help' me. She was no use to me at all, as at first I had to point out the valves, and then she proceeded to explain the pictures of the various valves. I stated I did not need Information I already knew. I then asked for a manager, another female, and told her of my wait time while I saw employees on their cell phones, talking in groups, doing nothing. I asked for someone who actually knew plumbing, and the manager stated they were not available, adding that everyone deserves a vacation? I stated that was irrelevant, and professionals don't give excuses, and are honest and state they don't have the knowledge to help, instead of wasting time pretending to help. The manager then stated she would contact 2 others to help (males,) but after waiting for these individuals to contact her by phone, I told her Lowe's had wasted enough of my time (21 minutes.) I interacted with 1 professional employee, 2 unprofessional, and observed 4 employees on their phones, 2 groups of 2, and 2 groups of 3 employees just talking. In the future, I will request the names or employee ID of everyone I interact with at Lowe's, in order to pass praise and blame appropriately. read more

My mother came to return a few items that she had purchased for Christmas, the manager working at the time was following policy so my issue is not with the workers. My issue is with how Lowe's doesn't stand by their product. She was sold a light fixture that wasn't working properly and because she decided to return it around a holiday they didn't honor their 90 day return policy. That is ridiculous, you should never be felt like you're in the wrong as a customer for trying to return a product that you paid for that was FAULTY. I don't go to McDonald's to order a burger to then not get my burger and be told that their policy doesn't allow them to fix the issue for me as a PAYING CUSTOMER. read more

Senior abuse! Keith in the Bathroom zone on September 16, 2024 had serious attitude. He is verbally abusive to seniors. 'm sorry he had to answer my 81 year old father's questions. Mom died, leaving dad having to adjust to apartment life and he needed help with making more space for storage. Keith being an elderly gentleman himself, should exhibit more patience. Seriously, being kind and exciting tolerance means a lot. Lowe's has always been my favorite hardware store. My #1 store!!! Go to Menard's instead. They just don't have basic systems figured out and the staff just don't seem to want to be there. I ordered 2 doors online to pickup. They didn't arrive on time (which is fine delays can happen) but the website has no way of tracking where the inventory is or if it's even still coming. Calling doesn't help they just refer yuh the the site. I sit and wait for days having no idea if my purchase is even coming. It did finally so fine, go to the store and the teenager at the service desk is confused and overwhelmed by any questions from walk up customers and is just calling other staff for every question that comes up. I wait for about 30 minutes for another staffer to bring my purchase, then I tell her "I ordered two of these". She blames someone in the back then disappears for another 30 minutes. read more

We had a great experience at this Lowe's. We stopped in on our way home from another appointment. Our gps showed multiple accidents, and we figured it would be better to get ideas for some upcoming projects then sit in traffic. While there were not many employees in the store, all those who we did encounter were friendly, and helpful. While we did not plan on making a purchase, I did find a rug to replace an old one. With the heavy rains, I worried about the rug getting wet. The guy in carpet was able to wrap up the carpet. His demeanor was personable and friendly. During our encounter he asked if there was anything else he could help us with. At the end, he double checked that there was nothing else we needed help with. The woman in kitchen cabinets was equally helpful. She gave us a rundown on the process, even though we were just looking for ideas. While walking through another department another employee who was up on a ladder asked if we needed any help. Customer service was on point. It should be mentioned that the store was clean and free of clutter. read more

I'm definitely rating this store up from a four stars to five stars. Every time I am in the store, each worker has asked me if I have needed help. I'm sure I look out of place, as a young gal wandering around a hardware store, but every staff member is so friendly that I feel welcomed (and I know I'm not the only one!). I've gotten my live Christmas tree every year from Lowe's since I moved into my new house. You can find a freshly cut one for as low as $35-$100. I always get the scotch pine, as I don't need anything too fancy. I love that Christmas tree smell, and Lowes has always helped me fulfill that Christmas desire! This year's Christmas adventure was no exception, as a kind staff member who worked outside (his name is David--if you see him make sure to say hello!) went above and beyond his responsibilities to help me get my Christmas tree into the car. He patiently waited as I wrapped the tree and ran home to empty my trunk. This has definitely not been the first time that I have felt the workers there exceed my expectations, and the store definitely deserves an increase to five stars. Very friendly workers in the store when you can find them. They will match other prices. Bummer you don't get 10% off anymore. You get 5% off with their credit card automatically but not on sale items. I like running in early on a weekday before work because the store is empty. Returns are quick. Look for the random 11% rebates on your receipt. This week had a $10 off 50 from my last week's purchase. The 11% is to match Menards. They have a front space for ship to store. Just go to desk by front door (inside). Haven't used yet. I am surprised how many handicapped spaces they have in front. I know there is a law but it's like the first 6 spaces in every row. We have always had good service at lowes until today. On Sunday we go in to buy a refrigerator. There was no one in the appliance area. We walked to customer service and asked for someone to help us. They insisted someone was back there helping other customers. There was no one back there. She ended up calling for "assistance in appliance ". We walked back to appliance and waited. 15 minutes later we walked out of the store. We were ready to purchase a $1600 refrigerator that day. Sorry lowes you missed out on a sale. read more

I'm really surprised by the low rating. This is the best Lowe's in greater Cincinnati, and I've had others tell me this as well! They have the largest garden department I've seen. Every time I'm here, which is a lot, there's super helpful and friendly staff. Had a problem with defective trimmer line and they happily exchanged it! I purchased a Delta grinder in March of 21, used it twice and it sounds like it has a bearing going out.. called the Mason Ohio Lowes and the manager told me I was out of luck because it it over 30 days old...called delta about the situation and they told me to take it back to the store for an exchange. When I told the rep what the Mason Ohio Lowes manager told me, he said That I would have to take it to a service center almost an hour away... Lowes has always been my go to store, but with a Menards and a Home Depot so close, they have lost my business. read more

Received the replacement fire bowl from the manufacturer 3 months after calling them. It came in a "Lowe's" cardboard box. The good news is the manufacturer (Lowe's) got me the defective part replaced. The bad news is that it took 3 months. I have not been in Lowe's for the last 3 months. I used them to have my floors measured and I had some flooring issues and they offered some great suggestions. Went to Lowes in Mason, Ohio. Spent a good amount of time picking out wicker outdoor chairs and cushions for $200+. Sales reps even talked to me during my selection. I get to the checkout and their system is down, will not accept my Lowes credit card for 5% discount. They say 'cash only, been down all day'. So I pull out my cash while my cashier chats with another cashier. After waiting for quite a while, I go to self check out and do it myself. Couldn't they have had someone at the entrance door to tell us we can't use any credit card? Couldn't someone have said 'I'm sorry for the inconvenience'? Horrible experience at Lowe's unfortunately. Had my eyes on a display model refrigerator, was told that there's no holds or delivery on those refrigerators. It was to late to go and rent a truck to purchase the refrigerator so I went back the next morning at 6 when they opened with a truck. The display model refrigerator I had wanted was being held for someone else. Asked the employees what happened to no holds. They said you actually had a two hour hold period, or if you were to buy it late at night you could pick it up in the morning. Employee from the previous night never mentioned that and only wanted me to get a credit card to buy a brand new refrigerator and get it delivered. read more

I have to say, I have experienced much better at the Lowes in South Lebanon. I only stopped at this one because I was in the area and I needed to buy top soil, potting soil and a bag of compost/manure. Note to self...don't go to this store again. I knew that the prices at Lowes were a good deal for what I needed....the top soil bags were $1.30 a bag and I only needed 4 bags, so I was good with that. I needed 2 bags of potting soil and a bag of compost. It was a really nice day when I stopped in, so given that, I knew it would be busy, however, where were the staff??? I did not see anyone except at the registers. When I checked out, there was a a gentleman in front of me who had a bag of mulch, a box of lights and some other small things in a bag and the cashier asked him if he needed assistance to his car, I have 7 bags of soil and she is talking across the way to the manager and asks "if she is out here all day until she leaves", says thanks and sends me on my way....wow...where's the consistency by asking customers if they need assistance? Not that I can't load it by myself, because I just put it all on the cart by myself, but it would have been nice to be asked. Used to come here quite a bit but no longer... Bought 18 GE brand LED Christmas lights. However, when they all burned out after less than 2 months, Lowes would not honor a return or even store credit/exchange because of some holiday item return policy that is only valid until the 26th of December. This shows that Lowes as an organization knows it is selling poor quality product that it can't even stand behind. I guess from now on I'm shopping at Home Depot a mile down the road. Night and day difference between the location off Beechmont and here. And I will make the drive to come here. Although Lowe's will continue to be my store of choice compared to the competitors, this particular store goes way above and beyond! My husband and I recently bought a house and with that decided to redo the floors. After many headaches, no responses, and being left hanging from the Beechmont location, I decided to call this location. I was helped instantly! And all my questions and orders were addressed right then and there. Throughout any orders, I was always updated on the status without me having to call and check in. In addition, the multiple trips I made to pick up various items it seemed as though there was someone in every isle waiting to help you. I was never told 'it's not my department' or 'let me get someone else' I was always helped. And if they didn't know, they would get help from someone but not pass you off. 20/10 would recommend this location! read more

This is a nice Lowes, although in my opinion the selection and layout are all pretty much the same. I've found this location to be cleaner and better organized than most. So 3 stars for that. What bugs me is the way I'm treated by some of the staff. It's a big store and often I'm in a rush and in search of one thing...a light bulb, trim brush, furnace filters, etc. I don't think it's too much to ask that you point me in the right direction rather than me wander the whole store. So if I request help finding something, please don't sigh and act annoyed that I'm asking you to do your job. Sometimes I might even have a question about a product (gasp!) - Like that time 2 weeks ago when I asked about a lamp replacement bulb that had a weird wattage. Please don't roll your eyes at me. I am incredibly disappointed at the Lowes online delivery service and Mason store. I ordered a bundle of landscaping materials online (at a $70 shipping fee). I have spent the last several days being passed around by multiple stores that have been providing false information about the delivery date and store of service. The customer service in all the stores has been abysmal (especially Mason), as I have been put on-hold/transferred multiple times without reliable or accurate information. I have taken off work based on their commitment to a delivery date and their request that I be present to sign for the materials, only to have them renege and reschedule without telling me (I called the store looking for the materials, only to find that they had pushed the date without informing me). I still do not have my materials. I experienced this same lack of quality customer service and scheduling commitment earlier this year as well when I purchased a clothes dryer online, and I find this pattern unacceptable. I can't really rationalize why I shouldn't take my business to Home Depot from here on out. read more

I hope Lowe's and their family's are having a great Christmas . For me and my family we will be sleeping on sub floors .I'm completely disgusted with Lowe's and their customer service . If your reading this review RUN with your money or find a small local business that cares about their clients and their reputation . I was scheduled today to get my floors installed for my second floor . Bedrooms ,closets and hallways . They are suppose to do the whole floor in one day . I hired a moving company that came in and disassembled my furniture and moved everything to the first floor . My dining room ,living room are full of furniture .both bathrooms upstairs and full of furniture. They come in at 8 in the morning but they say the wood floors are too old and they need to stay inside for 48 hours . Why is the wood cold ? Because the geniuses at Lowe's thought it was a good idea to leave them in the garage in the middle of December . We try calling a manger but he doesn't come in until 12 . At one I speak to the flooring manger John at the mason ,Ohio location he tells me that my floors are not leveled or screwed in. My house was a model house for my community and I don't live on a free floating boards. I toke a leveling tool and guess what ? All my floors are leveled and I pictures of it . John said he will talk to them and call me back . It's 4 now and he have completely ghosted me. Me show up at the store and the store manger said there is nothing that she can do for me and Lowe's who I gave my money to got nothing to do with the installation. My money is with a third party and I'm suppose to chase them . Further more they need an additional $700 and she don't know when they can come back . She gives us the number not the installation district manger who I called 3 times and left a voicemail . My kids and I slept on the floor last night . My parents are coming to spend the holidays with us with no place to stay . I can't think of a shi*** situation to be in . 2 months back I was in the store picking my floors and a gentle men was in the same exact situation. I am extremely disappointed with Lowe's. They sold me a propane tank that had expired 17 years ago!!! And when I went in to return this safety hazard that threatens the safety of me and my family, they were VERY VERY RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL to me and would not take the return and not refund my money!!! I went in and talked to a cashier at the return kiosk and politely explained the situation to her (told her that Lowe's shouldn't have sold me this expired tank which now puts my family's life at risk, and now I want to return it and get my money back), she laughed at me and was extremely rude and disrespectful to me. Then I asked to talk to a store manager, and when the manager arrived, she was even ruder and more disrespectful to me, and immediately told me in a disrespectful way that she couldn't do anything about it!! Bad experience, I was looking for a Vanity over in plumbing but I need one brought, the employee named Gary who was very rude, I wanted 45 mins and the area was mess. Very unprofessional and also rude to the employees. Wow what terrible customer service at this Lowe's. I was trying to return three 80 lb bags of concrete purchased from the Ridge Ave Lowe's 1 week earlier and was planning to buy a trunk full of self-leveling cement (a much more expensive product). I handed the two women working the return counter my receipt and was told that since this location didn't sell these particular bags of concrete I had to take them to the Ridge Ave location to return them. Seriously??? I'm supposed to know which exact bags of concrete are available at each location before making a return? So I had the extreme displeasure of hauling 240 lbs of concrete back to my car with out even the common courtesy from the staff to help me with the door. This Lowes location has typical store layout including nicely stocked garden dept. I always start my projects here due to 5% discount with Lowes card and they usually have what I need for my projects. Worst case, I do have Home Depot across the street in case I want to compare prices/selection. I typically overbuy to be sure I have all sizes/options of stuff for my projects and return the unused items. I've always had good returns experience and usually quick. Couple months ago was buying new tool chest and the guys were great in finding the boxes on high shelves, opening for me to inspect and then helping load in car. Sometimes I do struggle to find help in some departments which is why 4 instead of 5 stars, but overall I like this Lowes best and recommend it. read more

We engaged in a bathroom remodel with Lowes and experienced horrendous customer service, sub-par workmanship, and unethical billing behavior. If I could give this 0 stars I would. Do not shop at this store if you are a woman. They obviously do not want to wait on you. I paid to have my home measured for carpet. I explained that I wanted the rooms measured individually. I went in to order carpet and the rooms were all together. I spent more than 1 1/2 hours in the store trying to price carpet to find out "Free Installation" was going to cost me more than $2000. A few days later I tried to order a water softener. Thirty minutes in the store and no one would wait on me. I called the manager and was able to order it over the phone. A few days later the installer showed up and stated he could not remove the old one because there was still salt in the system. He claimed it would take him 2-3 hours just to remove the old one. (I had already paid to have the old one removed). Well I guess his Mountain Dew kicked in because he installed the new one and removed the old one in less than 2 hours! I put in a call to corporate to explain the situation and stated I wanted my money refunded for the carpet measurement that was done incorrectly. The store manager called and stated he would refund the money if I came into the store and let him correct the situation. He told me to come in and ask for him by name. So I did that - after waiting twenty minutes for a manager to show up at the desk no one knew what I was talking about. They did refund my money - minus the tax I had paid. read more

We recently ordered carpeting at Lowes. We spent over an hour at the store with the friendly clerk and chose the carpeting that we wanted. However, when the carpet was delivered, it did not appear to be the correct carpeting. Being the husband, I did not stop the installers (we didn't have a sample to compare it with). When my wife arrived home from work, she told me that it did not look like the correct carpeting. We returned to the store with a sample from the piece that the installers left and met with one of the clerks. He compared the receipt that we had from the purchase and assured that it was not the correct carpet. We were told that we would receive a call from one of the managers on Monday. When they called, my wife and answered the phone. She was told that they would have to check with the carpet distributor to assure that we had the wrong carpet (they used our provided sample for the comparison). Long story short, we were called today (April 2, 2015) and told that the distributor said that it was the correct carpet. This will be the last time that we ever purchase anything from Lowes. LET THE BUYER BEWARE! By the way, the customer service rep was rude in the manner in which she spoke with us. read more
