Was very pleased with the customer service at Lowe's. The carpet is great and the installers were great. The installing company, Romano's, is another story. Called soft manager to tell him that a door would not close after installation and was told to shave the door down or buy thinner carpet. I tried the buy on-line pick up at store system. I placed the order on March 19th and paid, and I immediately received an email telling me it has been delayed until March 27th. I understand with the situation we are currently in and I accepted that. On March 27th I received another email telling me a portion of the order has been delayed until May 5th. The remainder of the pre-paid order was ready for pick-up. I drove to the store and parked in the allotted space for pre-paid on-line order pick up and called the number posted. They didn't answer the phone. So i got out and stood in the line, still ring ring ringing the number for pick-up til my turn came to enter the store. The woman (without any required face mask) who was getting the order together for me had no clue what she was doing. It took her nearly an hour on the computer before she was ready to ring me out. I told her I already paid on line but she insisted that I had to pay again.. I said "I am actually supposed to sit in my truck and you are supposed to bring it out to me so how could I pay here if this was all done properly?".. I told her i used a gift card on-line. Finally I just told her to forget it, cancel it. I left frustrated and empty handed. thank you lowes ....terrible job read more

Horrible customer service. We are trying to buy countertops and had several appointments that never happened because an associate "called off" or there was nobody scheduled in that department. Today we went to the store for our scheduled appt and were greeted by an employee who didn't know what was going on and called for the manager. The manager of that dept. Levi was clueless, telling us he could not help us and that the only people that could called off. I am a regional manager with over 100 accounts and know very well it is unacceptable for a manger not to know how do the the tasks required within their department. I was absolutely mind blown when he said he couldn't do anything for us. When I questioned him on this he immediately became argumentative, which is beyond unacceptable. We should have been called beforehand, when he knew the scheduled associate called off, and apologetically told us we needed to reschedule. We would have understood and been fine with this. Lowe's really needs to care about their customers and step up their game. Totally unacceptable. Will never shop their again. read more

Went to Lowes to buy plants; needed 15- 20 bushes; plants already reduced by 50% and desperate to be planted before the ground gets hard with cold; will be 75 - 80% in 2 weeks; I waited until now because I am a retired teacher on a limited budget; also, I found a young man who can help me to plant this upcoming weekend but, will not have anyone to help me in 2 weeks. I explained this to manager #1 when I asked him today for the reduction of %75 coming in 2 weeks. This manager #1 said no; I then went inside and asked for another manager ( manager#2) who is in charge of the entire store - all departments, managers, etc. (my students trained me well to be persistent!); I explained to him the same situation; I told him that manager#1 had already told me "no"; but, manager #2 was kind (in this age of COVID,it is not only good to be kind, but good to appreciate your customers who dare to come out to support local stores). He said I could have the plants at %75 off the original price. I went back outside, selected 17 or so plants (took me about 30 minutes or so), stacked them all up and took them to checkout . . .The cashier did not believe me when I gave him manager #2's directives; he called him and asked him to confirm what I had already told him. He seemed upset that I had gotten the discount, but he did ring up the plants as we both waited for the manager#2 to come to the register. On his way over, he was stopped by manager #1. The two of them had a "side" discussion. Again, my teacher skills told me that manager #1 was plotting against me. Finally, manager#2 told me that I could not after all purchase the plants at the price that he had promised me - even though I spent around a total of an hour shopping, stacking plants, and was ready to pay at checkout! He apologized and said that manager #1 had superseded his authority! At that point, I realized that my value as a customer was absolutely ZERO! Please beware! Have little or no faith in what Lowes Monroeville Managers say! Have no faith in their honor! And, it is all about the money - even if the customer is lied to.... even if the customer is coming to the store buying a good load of merchandise in this age of COVID...even if "the customer is always right" and should be valued; even if the difference for 50% and 75% is not so much for Lowes but, everything to retirees... even if the plants die in the first hard frost because they have been weakened by being in plastic containers all season; I will make as much noise as I can about the poor and dishonest service at Lowes Monroeville where promises are not kept and the value of the customer is certainly in question. I will never go there again. . . I also will be writing a letter to corporate office about this bad experience. read more

This store is overall horrible. You walk in and you get jumped by Mary a "Sale specialist" who nags you about buying something and if your purchase is "high" enough you will get "you wanna open a credit card" and "I'll ring you up". And if you make it away from her. You go throughout the store to find associates hiding and gossiping. There is not one person there that is happy. The managers who are either sleeping with the coworkers have reduced hours of the workers. But then the managers hide in the office and don't help you either. And don't buy an "install". They are horrible. They want ALL the money up front. You have Greg that comes to your home for a free quote smelling of beer. And the contract you signed is with "TBD" for started and completion dates. They cover there behind and you are stuck trying to get the job done. Their "installers" are juggling multiple jobs at once and you might get a guy out there, but then they have to leave for an "emergency" on other jobs. And you decide to go up the ladder, that doesn't help unless you contact the District Manager. Stay away from this store and save yourself stress, a headache and regret. read more

EPIC COMMUNICATION FAILURE BY LOWE'S MANAGEMENT: I went to the store on Saturday evening January 25, 2014 to purchase a new washing machine. I gave all of my relevant information to the employee in appliances who I watched enter it into the screens to record my invoiced transaction. The employee in appliances put in my correct phone number. The sales employee in the appliances department asked me when I wanted the appliance delivered. He stated that I could have it as soon as tomorrow afternoon Jan 26th. I was surprised and said, "That would be wonderful if you could deliver it that soon." He scheduled my delivery for the next afternoon and instructed me to go to the register and give them my PHONE NUMBER to look up my transaction in the system so that I could pay for my purchase of the washing machine, hoses and 5 year service plan. I paid for the transaction and took my receipt and paperwork for the extended protection plan home with me. The next morning, Sunday Jan 26th, I called and asked what was the protocol for delivery of appliances. The employee who answered the phone stated that usually someone will call and give a 2 hour window in which an appliance will be delivered. (BY THE WAY, YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE PERSONNEL ARE SOME OF THE BEST AROUND. I WOULD STOP SHOPPING THERE IF IT WASN'T FOR HOW GREAT YOUR EMPLOYEES REALLY ARE ALWAYS TRYING TO DO THE RIGHT THING). However, on Sunday it was unknown if calls had been made by the manager or employee who is in charge of performing that task. I did not receive a call and it is assumed that the call had not been made and I would have to wait until the delivery personnel arrived at my house that afternoon. I followed up and called the store at least 10 times that afternoon, trying to determine the status of my delivery. It was unknown where the delivery personnel were and how long it would take for them to get to me. At approximately 6pm that evening I called for the final time. The customer service representative stated that they would look into the log and what the status of my delivery was. After being on hold, the manager Jason, came on the line and asked how he could help me. I told him that I was already being helped and was waiting for a response from a previous employee. He stated that if I explained my problem, he would help me instead. I explained I was waiting for a delivery truck and was still attempting to ascertain when the delivery would be made to my house that evening. He informed me that I had been scheduled for 12 to 2 pm for delivery. However, due to bad weather and poor road conditions, and a near miss automobile accident, the delivery crew had come back to the store early in the afternoon and had ceased making deliveries for the day. I explained to Jason the manager that I had called 10 times today and no one told me that deliveries had been halted for the day. I sat in my house for 8 hours waiting for them to arrive and they did not. He stated that the phone number associated with my order was incorrect. I challenged that he should have looked further into my customer information and found the additional number associated with my Lowe's information. Why would I call all day long, and the employees continue to look at the delivery log and fail to give me that crucial piece of information stating that my delivery had been CANCELLED AND WOULD NEED TO BE RESCHEDULED? Lowe's gets an "F" for failing to care about customer service communication within it's own store and management infrastructure. I am so ANGRY at the poor communication that occurred in their store today. IN PARTICULAR I AM MOST ANGRY WITH THE FACT THAT THE MANAGER IN CHARGE FAILED TO COMMUNICATE TO THE CUSTOMER SERVICE PERSONNEL. THEY WERE SPINNING THEIR WHEELS ANSWERING DELIVERY CALLS WITHOUT GOOD INFORMATION. THEY SHOULD HAVE KNOWN THAT ALL DELIVERIES HAD BEEN CANCELLED FOR THE DAY AND IF ANYONE ON THE LOG CALLED THEY SHOULD BE TOLD THAT THEY NEEDED TO BE RESCHEDULED. I love that store, but it fell from "A" performance to "F" performance in ONE DAY. A satisfactory corrective action and apology are requested BY ME, for your failure to dig into why you couldn't contact a customer who just purchased an appliance and was anxious for a Sunday delivery. People work for living and can't take precious time away from working to wait for a delivery TRUCK AND PERSONNEL that do NOT ARRIVE. Furthermore, if I had known you had cancelled deliveries, which you could have told me one of the last SEVEN times I called your store, I would have went to the Laundromat and washed my family's laundry. Long story short....my landlord purchased a fridge from here, when they delivered it they took the old one, well I wasnt home during this time and they accidently took the box of food that was in it. When I called the next morning I spoke with the manager Dan. Dan searched high and low for my old fridge and found it! We figured we should let it stay there until I got there so the food would stay good since the frisge was still cool. Well when I got there the company had accidently took the fridge to recycle without Dan knowing. Dan did everything he could to make it right! This is customer service and even though they may take a small loss they gained a customer for life! Im a manager as well and what he did was above and beyond for the customer! This man definitely needs some recognition! Lowes is awesome and I would highly suggest this store to all of my family and friends! read more

I ordered a dishwasher on May 25, 2016 and was told it was in stock at the warehouse and would take 2 to 3 days to be delivered to the store so my husband and I could pick it up. Several days later a customer service person from Lowe's called me to ask how I was enjoying my new dishwasher. I told him I hadn't gotten it and asked was it in the store ready to be picked up? Obviously flustered, he told me he had to check and would call me back. I never received a call back so a few days later, I called and asked if it was in. The person I spoke with had to "check" and would call me back. No one ever called back. I called back and asked to speak to a manager. It was now more than 10 days since I had originally placed my order. The manager I spoke with, "Gilletta", said she would find out when I would be getting my dishwasher and call me back in 20 minutes. She never called back. I called back and was told that Gilletta had left but they were ordering another dishwasher from another store and it would take 2 more days to come in, but they would deliver it free once it came in even though I had originally planned to pick it up. OK, never heard a thing. I call and I'm told it will be delivered to me Saturday, June 11th. Saturday comes, I'm waiting all day..at 4:00 I call the store and after being passed from person to person a guy gets on and tells me he's so sorry but my dishwasher was sold to someone else. The ineptitude and incompetence of the people handling this order is off the charts. I'm ready to cancel the whole thing, but hey wait...why should I have to go out and look for another dishwasher? I told the salesperson that they should substitute a better dishwasher for the same price and let Lowe's eat the difference for their incompetence in handling my order..and he came through! They substituted a much better more expensive dishwasher of my own choice, AND took an additional 10% off the sale price I had already paid. The salesman, Tim, personally delivered it in his SUV on Sunday, June 12th. So I just want to say Lowe's is one of the most disorganized, inept, incompetent outfits I've ever dealt with, but there is a guy in appliances named Tim who is outstanding in handling problems and getting results. A big thumbs down to Lowe's but for this one employee, Tim in the Monroeville store, my gratitude for going out of his way to get me my dishwasher. read more

Please don't waste your time and money - This Lowe's has very poor service. I had them replace my home windows and water heater. They messed up the order for the windows initially, after coming to take the measurements twice. When they came to install the windows, they noticed that some of them were the wrong sizes but they took out my old windows and used wood boards to close the window spaces. After weeks of useless, terrible customer service, and sleepless nights due to worries that anybody could easy break in our home, the remaining finally arrived and my window was installed after about two months. After it was installed, we discovered they were the wrongly installed because a recent rainfall was heavily leaking around the window into the home. After calling the store multiple times to try and get them to hurry with the correct sized windows due to security concerns and getting no one to call me back, I have lost faith in the managers here in Monroeville, PA and I am considering contacting the district manager. At this point I'm doubtful I'll ever use Lowes installation service as they also messed up on my water heater. They did not show up for the appointment and installed the wrong size water heater after rescheduling for another time. read more
