The good about this Lowe's: the workers are awesome. They always say hi, seem pleased to see you, and are super helpful. The bad about this Lowe's: more than any Lowe's I've ever been to, this one seems to have a huge issue with shoplifting. Normally this wouldn't affect the customer, but what people do is take the product out of the packaging and leave the packaging on the shelf, which means that there's many times when Lowe's THINKS they have something in stock, but when you go to get it the shelf is filled with empty packaging. It's infuriating, especially when you then have to drive 30 minutes to the next Lowe's. Plumbing fittings are the worst example of this, so beware if you're here to buy plumbing stuff. I'm not sure if it's related to the shoplifting or not, but items in the wrong place also stands out here among all other Lowe's. So when you're trying to find something, you really have to search through all the shelves which takes loads of time and means you might likely miss what you're looking for. read more

For some reason my order was transferred from another store to here. It was scheduled for a certain date. I received a text saying I would get a 4 hour delivery window the night before. Never happened. That day after waiting I called to check on order. Was told it was on the truck. At end of delivery window I called again. Shipping was now closed & nobody knew anything. Following day I called again, was told it would be delivered the next day. I had contractors scheduled to start that day. Needless to say had to postpone. Will say when it did finally arrive driver was very nice. Needless to say I will no longer buy from Lowe's unless I have no other choice. read more

None of the "need help" buttons work. Asked a customer service agent for help and they just put out a call for department help. Then I realized the department help was just like shopping along with an old couple rather than just telling them what they needed to know and moving on to the next person to help. They said my order would be ready that day for pickup. Two days later they said it was ready, except one item. They hassled me by email and text to pickup my items. When I arrived, I waited 30 minutes to get my 2 item order to my car. Calling the store I was told, "He's by himself" and to "be patient." I cannot install the items I picked up since they cancelled the one part I needed. The whole reason I waited to pickup my order was because I needed the cancelled item. Very dissatisfied. read more

I'm bucking my typical habits to support Georgia owned businesses by choosing Lowe's over Home Depot, having had the most onerous process of getting a refund for a Samsung dishwasher purchased at Home Depot. So asking around for opinions from friends who work in the trades. This was a quick trip to Lowe's a bucket lid and some potting soil. I think it was about $10 total, so there wasn't much damage. That's cheap, especially for a trip to Lowe's. Timely Note: They are considered "essential" and therefore are open for business. They are limiting the amount of customers allowed inside (50) and practicing distancing and disinfecting techniques. Buying a house is a chore in and of itself. The offers, the paperwork, the mental "do I really want to do this or no?", getting everything switched over and/or turned on. So add to that list the need for fresh carpet. Thankfully it's just the stairs and second floor, but I don't want to move furniture twice. There are stipulations, but Lowe's does provide free installation (it's mainly a minimal purchase of $599 and decent carpet). They have samples organized by durability (5-15-25 year warranty) and weight (quality). Then there is the padding. Three grades of that, one being liquid resistant (aka, get this if you have indoor pets). Once we decided on what we wanted, they had someone out to do measurements the following day (which was a Saturday). On Monday they had a timeline for installation in place. I purchased a craftsman weedeater from Lowes. I only used the weedeater 3 times & it stopped "spinning" where you put the weedeater string put in. Everything else on the weedeater works fine. I brought it back to Lowes & originally it wasn't eligible for an exchange because we didn't have the receipt. An employee by the name of Jackie stepped over to the counter with a "cheat book" & said that the weedeater could be exchanged without a receipt because it has a 2 year manufacturer warranty. Another employee by the name of Jay was more than helpful when he walked us to the weedeater section & helped us pick out a replacement. I shop at this Lowes pretty often and navigate the store by myself. The store is well organized but always very busy, especially in the spring/summer...probably like any other home improvement store. The very few times I ask for assistance have been hit or miss so unsure if people are just wandering outside their expertise areas? A lot of times they are busy with other customers and I have to wait or try to find someone else. Sometimes I don't really know who is a staff member as some of them don't wear the Lowes outerwear and only have plain street clothes on. But other than that, if you're just walking in for something and don't need help, then you're good! read more

I went to Lowes to buy an electric clothes dryer. There was only one person working in the area and there were several customers waiting for assistance. I waited 20 minutes and still couldn't get any assistance so I decided to go home and order the dryer online since it had free delivery. I attempted to sign in and couldn't remember the password so I requested a new password. I received the email to reset my password it's attached to something called Last pass risk free from Yahoo. I couldn't continue without joining this crap so I decided to shop elsewhere. I DID NOT WANT TO JOIN something extra, I just want to purchase an electric dryer with my credit card. I hired Lowe's to do my floor install in May expecting a great experience, only to receive the worst experience. I scheduled my install for last Thursday. I got confirmation the day before, only to wait 2 hours being the window they gave me for arrival only to call them 2 1/2 hours later wondering where they were. I was told it was cancelled because an employee was sick ( but he was sick for the past week) I rescheduled for the following Tuesday again and waited yet again, called and they confirmed the installer was on their way, only to be called 30 minutes later saying they weren't coming. So the furniture that I had to move is scattered throughout the rest of my home with no definite Install date.. I expected more from a big company as Lowe's but will definitely not be using them in the future!! read more

My mom requested flowers for Mother's Day. However, she wanted the kind you could plant. So, I scurried over to Lowe's to grab a gift card. I've visited Lowe's on several occasions for various items. The staff is always very helpful staff. The store is easy to navigate on your own, but the staff always takes the time to show you to the specific area of your desired item. I also like the warehouse feel of Lowe's. It's just spacious, which makes for a good shopping experience for me. The gift cards were really cute too. I didn't expect that. The had a few cool gift cards just for Mom! I bought one. She loved it and I can't wait to see the flowers she planted. read more

I moved to Augusta area a few months ago and needed a fenced in backyard. I gave my sister money to have vinyl fence installed. Although they did an OK job on the fence, the gate was put on backwards. It took a few weeks to get someone out to make it right...But then after they left I found the gate didn't close properly. You have to push it sideways to get it to shut! I shouldn't have to do this with a four thousand dollar fence! Ms. Elrod doesn't answer her phone, I just have left messages with no response. My husband was hung up on 4 times tonight trying to speak with the appliance desk. That is after he tried calling multiple times with no answer and finally going to Low's only to wait on the customer service for 30 minutes as they joked around with another customer... they told him they had the dishwasher he wanted in stock and then said oops our inventory was wrong and now it's too late to get it delivered when we need it. Don't ever buy an appliance and have it delivered and installed by Lowe's. I bought a dishwasher on 11-10-22. I finally received it on 1-26-23 after going to the store 4 times, countless emails and at least 30 phone calls. The installers canceled my appointment 4 different times. After getting canceled I would have to call up Lowe's or Crumes Installation to be put back in line (usually 2-3 weeks later) to once again get canceled and start the cycle over. I finally had to fight my way up to get in touch with an executive in customer relations after months of emailing Lowe's. The executive needed two days to get me my dishwasher. That was nearly 77 days since I had bought it. All I got for this was a lot of "I'm sorry"'s. This was the worst experience I've ever had with a company like this. I really thought I was dealing with a scam company for awhile. I will never shop at Lowe's again and you shouldn't either. (PS if I get a reply from Lowe's don't tell me to call the 1800 number. I tried calling the 1800 number for two and a half months. I promise they didn't care for my first 30 calls. They will not care with another one and I've already wasted enough of my time.) read more

This Lowe's is very clean and new looking. This place is the smallest Lowe's that I have been into in this area and the selection reflects that. It is also setup differently than the other store's so it may take you a few more minutes to find what you need. Although you could see employees I had to literally chase a couple employees to get help, one fast walking into an area that was employee only then looking back and smiling as they disappeared and the other it was like hunting big game with me being more wily by cutting through a couple aisles to cut their escape off. so all in all the store is very clean but the selection is not so great and customer service is not so great either. Loss of a star because of the unfamiliar lay out and selection being limited due to its size and two star loss due having to literally chase employees to ask for help. read more

I give Robin at Lowe's in N Augusta a 5 star. We completely replaced our kitchen in a house we just purchased. She designed the new kitchen layout giving us 3 options to choose from. Also, she helped us with new appliances making suggestions and the pros and cons of each appliance to suite our needs and to give us the most bang for the buck. Replacing kitchen cabinets can be complicated with the wiring, plumbing etc. She took all of that away and made it very easy for us. We feel that by using her we saved money and time. She is very knowledgeable, called us on time every time and when we met with her she gave us her undivided attention. She also had the financing that was unbelievable as well. She is 100%. read more

As far as love goes, this one is pretty decent. I have had a couple customer service issues, but Edna the store manager is awesome. She is always willing to step up and help out if needed. The first time I met her was in appliances and I thought she was just a sales person. But she helped me get a great deal on some appliances. I love their policy that you can take plants back within a year because God knows that some of mine do die. Someone said the store closes at 9:00 not 10:00 and that the staff were rude in letting you know that. I just went to that store tonight and left there right at 10:00 so I have no idea what she was talking about. And as far as rude staff, I don't personally know any person who works there so I have no one to protect but I will say from my experience, and I go there fairly often, I have always had a good experience where the employees are concerned. In fact they have been polite and helpful whenever I had interaction with them. The bathtub stopper in my bathtub broke into pieces on me, so I went out to look for another one. I got that one at Target so I went back there to get another one. I guess they stopped selling them because I couldn't find them again, even with the help of an employee. So I thought about a place I could find one. I quickly thought about Lowe's or Home Depot. This Lowe's is close to my house so I came here. I always drive through their parking lot at night going to the grocery store but never really needed a reason to stop in. But today was different, I needed a tub stopper and I guessed they would have it. I was right!!! I walked into the massive store on a mission and I had to figure out exactly where they would be. I looked around for a minute not finding what I was looking for, so I stopped an employee to ask where they would be she told me probably plumbing and she was right!!! They had a few different types and sizes. I picked one and was on my way. The checkout process was quick and easy and I also noticed that they had snacks and drinks at the checkout counter. I thought that was neat. I was in and out of this store in less than 10 minutes. That's my kind of shopping!!! read more
