It's fine. Service is the standout here, as many floor-level associates are good folk. Don't believe the "always hiring" messages because they are only "always hiring" a certain type. Where the store is weakest is its selection of inventory that is obviously geared towards a small number of contractors who operate in the area. Value is status quo, where lumber that is less-than-properly cut and plumb is sold as premium. The biggest thing they have going is that there is very little competition. 3/5 is fair for this Home+Improvement store read more

I ordered a microwave and range online on 6/13, it was to be delivered and installed on 6/19, on 6/18 I got a text that gave me my delivery timeframe, which was 9 AM to 1 PM. waited around all morning on 6/19 and no one ever showed. I called customer service and learned the order was now delayed and was pushed back a week. Mind you I had a renter coming in for the week on 6/20 I now have no stove and will not be able accommodate my renter. I was told the reason it was moved to a week out was because the microwave was no longer in stock. I was sent an email to notify of the delay Mid morning - no text. No Call no other options Such as splitting the delivery and bringing the range and oven on time. And the only compensation for my loss of revenue was a 10% off discount on my next purchase with Them ! I've canceled my order with Lowe's and I've ordered with Home Depot. We ordered 160 bags of concrete for a project. Came in 4 pallets. Each pallet we opened contained damaged bags, with concrete pouring out. My husband and I came in last week completely clueless on what plants to get for our new landscape layout, we ran into an older woman in a pink hat in the garden center and she took the time to explain everything to us, she really knows her plants!!! On April 16th, 2025 I placed an order for a samsung washer and samsung dryer, along with a matching pedestal for each. The person at the Lowe's store said the pedestals would not be in the warehouse until May 1st, and recommended having them all delivered at the same time. I agreed. On April 30th I received a text confirming the delivery for May 1st. I received a call on the morning of May 1st confirming they shipment was on the way. However, according to the Lowe's app, the pedestals were still "in process". I told the person on the phone I did not want the washer/dryer to arrive before the pedestals, because then they would have to removed and reinstall the washer/dryer. They agreed, and we rescheduled for May 3rd. On May 2nd I received the confirmation text for the delivery on May 3rd. On May 3rd a repeat of May 1st occurred. Washer/dryer on their way, no pedestals. I told them not to deliver the washer/dryer without the pedestal, and rescheduled for May 5th. On May 4th I again received a text confirming delivery on May 5th. Once again, on May 5th, washer/dryer on their way, no pedestals. I called again and spoke to someone who said the pedestals would FOR SURE be at delivered on May 7th. I expressed my frustration at having to continue to reschedule, but was assured they would be there. I received a text on May 6th confirming shipment on May 7th. Guess what happened on May 7th? Washer/dryer shipped, but WITHOUT PEDESTALS. Beyond frustrated, I called Lowe's AGAIN. I asked if there was some way to confirm the pedestals were actually at the warehouse. They looked and said they were, and would definitely be able to be delivered with the washer/dryer on May 9th. Today is May 9th. The driver, Manuel, did not speak English, but was able to let me know he was 15 minutes away from my house (it took him 1 1/2 hours to get to me, and only called 15 minutes out). I couldn't reschedule at that point. When the washer/dryer arrived...would you like to guess what was missing? Bingo. The pedestals. Now, I actually drive to the originally Lowe's store where I purchased everything back on April 16th. After 2 hours, they were finally able to confirm the pedestals had been delivered to the warehouse on April 29th @ 12:49pm. in the meantime, a woman called from Lowe's corporate to let me know they would have a manager of the warehouse check to see if they were actually in the warehouse. If he couldn't find them, they would issue a refund, and I could reorder them. She also suggested I get a different pedestal, which was actually in-stock at the current location I went to. I mentioned my disbelief that they actually would be there, based on my past experience, and then she got a little snarky. I asked her to check. After a few minutes, she had to admit they weren't in-stock as she suggested. The in-store personnel said they don't have anything to do with shipping because it's a 3rd party. Luckily, Sam H called to check to see how my delivery went. After retelling this story to him, he dug a little deeper. It turns out the washer/dryer went to the Leland DC, and the pedestals went to the Greensboro DC. Because the Greensboro DC didn't have enough product to justify transport to the Leland DC, they would sit there until such time as there WAS enough product to justify transport. Unfortunately, since there was already a PO for the pedestals in the Greensboro DC, I would have to take a refund, so they could order the pedestals again, and make sure they went to the correct DC in Leland this time. Meanwhile, the people who installed the washer dryer couldn't speak English, and my wife has to communicate with them through a translator app. Now I have a washer/dryer and no pedestals, and am being told it will likely be 3 weeks before they can get the pedestals to me. Also, it was insinuated that it was my fault for refusing the initial delivery. If I had just taken the washer/dryer on the 1st, they would have discovered the issue, and could have refunded and reordered the pedestals sooner. I guess it was my fault. I owe everyone an apology for having the washer/dryer sent to one DC and the pedestals to another DC, and for trying numerous times to get it sorted out by speaking to people and rescheduling. Not a single individual at Lowe's or the 3rd party DC has apologized. read more

We purchased all new appliances for our brand new home from Lowe's in Dec 2023. We also purchased a 5 year extended repair policy on the GE Refrigerator based on the quality of refrigerators now being produced. The circuit breaker on the stand-alone line to the fridge turned the power off about 4 months after installation. I reset the breaker. We called our electrician and had the system tested and checked and found everything was working and installed properly. We had the same issue again. We reset the breaker and the fridge ran fine. I then moved the plug from the fridge into a different outlet. It popped that breaker a couple months later. We started to call Lowe's for service because the one-year factory contract had expired. We were away for the holidays and lost food we had to discard on 2 occasions, and we never got the smell completely out. We had to plug the fridge in and out 2 or 3 times before it started to run. The temperature inside was 70 degrees in both the freezer and fridge. We call (this was our third or fourth incident) and they could not get anyone out to look at it for FOUR DAYS. We lost all our food again. By the time they came to look at it, the fridge had started to run cool again. They hook their computer up to the fridge and told us there was nothing wrong with it. I went in person to the Lowe's Store where we made the purchase--and all they could offer us was to sell us another new refrigerator at their cost. So much for the value of a 5 year warranty. We did purchase a different brand after researching our GE fridge and found the exact same issue had happened to others. When I purchase my next new fridge--it will be from a small local company that stands by their products and do not make you wait 4 or 5 days for emergency service while your food spoils. I do thank the employees at Lowe's going to bat for us and at least getting us a good price on the new unit. As opposed to buying an extended warranty for a fridge from Lowe;s--I recommend your spend a couple hundred dollars for a small fridge to leave in your grarge or other room in your home--better than waiting a few days for your emergency service. The new fridge is running fine and no issues with popping any breakers.. read more

I am not able to lift every item--especially the over one hundred pound items uptp the scan screen--so I just left the store--just like Lowes is leaving all their elderly customers who have shopped there for fifty years behind. I am never buying appliances from Lowes at North Myrtle Beach. My opinion is that if you must buy a Lowes appliance take it out the door yourself and install it yourself. As for me I will never buy another appliance from them. I bought an LG 23.8 cu ft top freezer refrigerator for my rental condo in late May, 2022. Very pleased with the LG refrigerator I saw on display. My problems started after the purchase upon delivery of the refrigerator one week later. The installation crew arrived on time but seemed to be in a hurry. They bumped into my entrance way walls and corner. I thought they should have been more careful. After the refrigerator was placed I ask them to reverse the the swing of the refrigerator door but they would not because they didn't have a work order for that. Why couldn't they take 15 minutes and reverse the swing. Stay with me please. They took my old refrigerator out the door for recycling. Upon pealing of the protective firm off the door a large bent was quickly noted in the center of the stainless steal door. I went to Lowes the next day and talked to Amanda in shipping . She gave me a discount on the refrigerator which I accepted due to time restraints at NMB. She wrote a work order for the door swing on the day I was leaving NMB. On that day the installation crew did not show up. I waited 7 hours for them to show. I got a call later at 5:15pm stating that they had had a busy day and that I would have to reschedule. No apology at all. I told them I could not reschedule as I would not be in the area for several months. I finally left to return home to Cary to see my grandson's baseball game. I called Lowes the next day and talked to Daniel the assistant manager. I was put on call for 25 minutes for the opportunity. I explained to Daniel that I rent my condo through a rental agent so they would have to contact them as I would not be in North Myrtle Beach. He said he would call the regional manage and arrange a fix. I gave them proper numbers to arrange entry. I reiterated that I would not be at my condo so they would need to call rental company for entrance to my condo. The next day I got a voice mail from the installer stating that they would come from 8-12 am. Of course by now I was back home in Cary,NC. They left me a number to call. I thought it would be a direct line but the number connected me to the front desk at Lowes. I knew I was in trouble. After calling the number I was put on hold for 48 minutes. I tried again but the line went silent. After several tries to get thru to some one to help me I realized that I was was waisting my time dealing with Lowes. I contacted my rental company the next day to arrange for MR APPLIANCE to correct the door swing Lowes should have done on delivery. My experience is that Lowes delivery service and management are incompetent. If you must by an appliance at Lowes NMB take it home with you and install it yourself. read more

We shop at Lowes in North Myrtle Beach all the time. Or at least we did. Last week purchased a refrigerator that was in the back of the store. Had to wait a week for delivery. Said we would receive between 12 and 4. Took time off of work, put our things in coolers and waited. At 7p, spent 30 minutes to get a rep from 800 Number ( the store would not answer) and long story short...said we may or may not get it tonight...probably not til 5 days later. And said the contractor drivers said they called 3 times which was a LIE!!! Barely got a sorry. No compensation. No "please let us fix this". No nothing!!! Long time customer is now a thing of the past because you had to save a dollar to contract deliveries. I know we are a drop in the bucket and you won't miss us but we promise to share this story far and wide!!! read more

Zero stars!!! Never, Ever, Ever.....buy a refrigerator from Lowe's, especially in NMB, SC. If you have a problem and it is defective as it was in my case, NO ONE there helps you. There is NO manager around and the assistant manager and appliance manager NEVER return a call. After getting approval from Frigidaire to exchange the defective one for a new one, I called every day for 5 days and NO ONE returned a call. I even went into the store to discuss it but got NO where because there is NO manager or leader to take responsibility and resolve an issue. By the 5th day, I called the corp headquarters and they were able to connect me to the appliance manager. Now get this, she said I had to return the refrigerator first, get a credit and then process a new purchase. They would pick up the defective refrigerator on Saturday and deliver a new one on Sunday. I told her I had about $100 worth of food and frozen meat in it and it could possibly spoil. But that was Lowe's return policy, and she would call me back on Saturday to confirm the transaction and new delivery time. So I had to go out and buy a cooler and ice packs to try and save some of this food. She never called back and, of course, no delivery was set up for Sunday. I called the corp headquarters again on Sunday and they did confirm the transaction was processed but the delivery would not occur until Monday. I told her by that point the food would spoil and asked if I could get a credit or reimbursement for the food, and she said there was nothing they could do about that (even though this was all caused by their defective product and ridiculous return policy). The new refrigerator was delivered on Monday and, of course, all of the frozen items were defrosted and had to be thrown out. I could salvage some of the other things. No one in this STORE ever apologized for the inconvenience it caused me, and the loss I incurred. Shouldn't their training involve basic common courtesy to the customers that keep them in business? It appears they are only trained to make sales and have no care or concern for the customer after that is done. I usually don't complain, but this was the most upsetting and frustrating week long experience I've ever had and I will NEVER step foot in a Lowe's store again. Shame on you Lowes!!!!! read more

The North Myrtle Beach Lowes is the worst Lowes I have ever tried to work with. I will make a long story short. We have tried to buy a refrigerator since June, 2021 from them. The first time, the company that delivers a refrigerator came to my condo. I went to greet them & they left & would not deliver. We talked to Lowes forever but nothing done! We decided to give them another chance. Went last week, and took an hour to speak to sales person! Other people in line were waiting for items up to a month. We finally purchased a refrigerator. We were called from delivery to receive refrigerator this past Thursday morning by 12:00 am. We cleaned out old refrigerator, got up early to wait. We got a call at 9:30 am from sales person stating they gave our refrigerator to someone else! I asked how they could give it to someone when we already paid for it! They had no answer!! Just said we can get you another one on Saturday! I have talked to everyone I can and they had no reason or answer! I have had to go through an ordeal to get payment off my Lowe's charge card! We've called this location multiple times to confirm the date of a dishwasher delivery and install, and every time we end up speaking to someone who puts us on hold for lengthy periods of time, transfers us without warning, and then hangs up abruptly after insisting that "We'll take care of it!" Naturally, we then receive an email confirmation of the installation with the wrong date and time. They definitely do not "take care" of their customers. read more

I rarely write a negative review, as everyone has an off day, businesses are under tremendous duress these days and sometimes customers aren't nice. However today my husband had a very disappointing experience. He frequents Lowes, and we spend a lot of money there. They offer a Veteran's Discount which we are grateful for and appreciate. We special ordered a front storm door in April. We placed the order, paid for it an left that night waiting on a call for arrival. We received the call last night and my husband picked it up today. After getting it home, he discovered no directions for install in the box and no door handle. It was part of the order, it was paid for and it wasn't in the box. So he heads back to Lowes. After waiting 20 minutes at Windows & Doors with several other customers, an employee walked by and he asked her to get someone and she called over the PA for assistance. After another 20 minutes, another employee was walking by and he stopped him and asked about the handle. The employee advised we should have taken it when we placed the order, it doesn't come with the door. When my husband asked if he could just grab it, the employee said he didn't think he would be able to leave with it. So my husband grabbed a handle and with receipt in hand, went looking for a manager. He asked another employee to ID a manager and she pointed out Brandon who had appeared in Windows and Doors. So my husband walked over to Brandon, who immediately grabbed his phone (Lowes) and turned away from my husband. My husband said " Excuse me, I need some help" to which Brandon replied very curtly " I'm busy, give me a minute" and he proceeded to walk away from my husband as he spoke into his phone. The next thing my husband heard was assistance needed in Windows and Doors and Brandon continued to walk away. My husband waited for him to return, as he needed to speak to a manager about leaving with our door handle. He stood there about another 7 minutes, no-one came and Brandon did not see fit to return. I can only assume it was lunch time. Pitiful. I do not expect to be catered to, but courteous service is the minimum. My husband left with the door handle we paid for in April and a bad taste in his mouth for Lowes and Brandon. read more

Geoff in the carpet area is very hard to work with...caught him talking behind my back to his partner. Very rude, spoke down to me. Installers told me that Lowes will try to push the carpet on you regardless if it's what you want or not. The installers said they have this situation often...the color doesn't match the vendor. Very disappointed. Store manager didn't even come to speak to me. Corporate problems. However, the carpet installers were awesome and waived the fee that Lowes was going to charge to come back out. Lesson learned. Don't go through a third party. read more
