This Lowes has exceptionally bad customer service. Their inventory isn't up to date with the items they stock online. They cancel orders without notifying you and send you a refund gift card by MAIL so that all of your money is tied up for a week! I had to order a similar tool which said it would be there when I needed it but it was a "bait and switch" because it later updated to say that it would arrive right AFTER I needed it. Here's the deal: No one is apologetic about these things. In fact, they are insecure and combative. I spoke with a young man yesterday and I repeatedly asked him to allow me to finish my sentence and explain because he was interrupting me and antagonizing me as if I was trying to fight with him. I very sincerely asked for help due to all of the mess ups with my order so far. I simply wanted to see if the item I ordered from another store was in stock at that store. The boy was infuriating. I've really never encountered anyone so terribly antagonistic for zero reason. This Lowes let me down. Only in town for a short while and depended on the craftsman battery set up for the 20v tools they said would be there. Without them, I can't work. To add insult to injury, no one gives a damn about their job or their customers here. Two stars because a young woman 3 days ago showed civility and a bit of empathy agreeing with me that it wasn't right. Otherwise, zero stars for this upside down place. Update: I had to return to this Lowes when I didn't have a car. I met Mary in appliances. Because she acts like a real person truly equipped and interested in helping others, I ended up buying. a suite of appliances. She loves her job. You can tell. You don't have to love the job. Possibly the worst run flooring dept in the chain? Went twice to get a quote to refloor a home I just bought ($20K job). No one working in the flooring dept either time. This last trip on Saturday I waited for 20+ minutes just to see if any staff would show up; no one did. Help button dose not work. I stopped going to Lowe's 6 years ago because of their bad service and use Home Depot now. I run a very large real estate company with hundred of rentals and we spent between 150.000 and 200,000 a year on everything from appliances to lumber, lights. Mulch rocks, tools ECT. I'm remodeling a restaurant right now and the tile my tenant picked out is from Lowe's so I went there picked out a tile and the lady I spoke to said she will put the order together and call me to pay for it which she never called. She gave me her number just incase anything went wrong and I've been calling for two weeks. First of the number she gave me isn't in service and the store employees are completely useless. They are rude and zero help, I've been on hold half a dozen times for anywhere crime 40 minutes to over an hour then cut off. When I call back they said no one is picking up let me get someone else then 40 minutes later they pick up and say I have the wrong department and wait another 30 minutes only to get hung up on again. Any time you speak to someone they always act like you are bothering them asking for a department or for help in any way. These Lowe's employees are extremely poorly trained and have no business in any sort of customer service as they have zero people skills and just rude as hell. 6 years ago when I stopped going there I left a review to Managment and no one reached out showing they really don't give a rats --// about customers and the first time I use them in 6 years this has been an absolute nightmare trying to but 4000 SF of tile. I can't do it online because the order is to big they said I need to do it In store and every time I go in they say I have to deal with the lady that I original ordered with who I haven't been able to get a hold of her for over two weeks. I've left 7 to 9 messages and hours on hold only to be hung up on so I guess I'll have to find another store to order it from. Just pathetic customer service with no people skills and bad attitude's. Big box retailers are pretty much the same all over the country....similar merchandise, similar setup, etc. The people that work in there are the ones that make the difference. I was looking for a DIY Mold kit and as I wandered around, I saw this employee (Michael) and I asked where it was....fortunately, I was in the right aisle and he just took me to the display, a few feet away. He was very pleasant and talkative. He mentioned that he had just replenished the stock a few days ago, so he remembered exactly where they were... Very nice customer service experience. As I walked around the store, I saw a bunch of stuff that sometimes I overlook or forget...furniture, silk plants, real plants, water, tools for the house, tools for the garden, etc.... I suspect fraudulent activity amongst staff. I attempted to make a purchase and an employee who worked the floor took me to a checkout counter, where I provided my credit card and seemingly made a payment. After completing the payment, I was then directed to another clerk, who requested both my credit card and ID, stating that identification was required for items over $250. The clerk also claimed I had placed an order for the item under a different name than what appeared on my credit card. Confused, I asked, "What order?" She insisted I had placed an order on my phone, though I had simply picked the item from the shelf with the help of an employee. When I returned with my ID, the clerk said the situation appeared fraudulent due to the name discrepancy. By this point, the floor employee who'd processed my initial payment was nowhere to be found. I asked again, "What order?" and reiterated that I had never placed one. Despite this, the clerk continued to insist that an order had been made. I then asked why I was being asked to pay again and questioned the policy requiring ID for purchases over $250. She returned my credit card and ID and said she would get her manager. The manager, Eric, also insisted that an order had been placed. When I asked him to confirm when this order was made, he refused. I also questioned why I had to be rung up twice, but he declined to respond. I asked for documentation or a website explaining the ID requirement for purchases over $250. Eric admitted there was no such policy. I'm now concerned that the first employee who scanned my credit card may have taken my information but never actually processed the payment. Frustrated, I left and went to Home Depot instead. I called their customer service number to report an issue, but throughout the call, I kept getting muted. It seems the person I was speaking to was preoccupied. I had to repeat myself so many times. I concluded that this frustrating experience must be embedded in the company's culture and eventually gave up. Wow-I just experienced the best customer service ever in Lowe's! Rayan went "Above and Beyond" to help me find a small product(that great glass cleaner usually in the 4pack). He was focused on finding it for me, asked some other team members and then we spotted a box on a shelf up above...he grabbed the ladder and walked me to the cashier (she was efficient and so pleasant too) with my goods. Yesterday I went to this Lowe's to remedy a problem with an item I bought there. I bought brackets to install in a wall. While I bought them almost a couple of weeks earlier I didn't realize that the attached packaging that should have held the screws was empty (obviously ripped open) until the day I was ready to do the work. I went to returns and asked if I could exchange the item for one with screws attached. She said that because I didn't have receipt she would not help me. I asked if she could get needed info using the card with which I made the purchase. She said no. The entire time she was very negative and very unfriendly. Finally, I asked if I could have one of the Lowe's bags just behind her so that I could place item in bag so I could shop for screws without seeming like I was stealing something. She said NO. So on my way Saturday from Point A to my next errand and I pass this Lowe's. Didn't even realize it was here and I do prefer Lowe's over Home Depot. So I park the car and head in for two things White Fly killer and Windex that you attach to your garden hose to clean the outside windows. I found the white fly killer rather quickly I chose a container of the concentrated liquid as I applied the granules to my ficus hedge and it isn't bouncing back yet. It is a little pricey at $69. But less expensive than replacing my hedge. As for the Windex after I checked out the entire garden center I found it with the other cleaning supplies inside the store. The check out process was quick. Only one other person in front of me. Not only is it fast on and out the cashier was also friendly. Will definitely make a mental note to shop here next time I need something to fix or clean my house and garden. read more

We he couldn't find the hardware item I needed, he explained that many hardware items are jot available because Joe Biden is causing the ports to be backed up, and then went on to tell me how horrible he thinks our president is, and how good our prior president was. Don't bother - period. I came in for a simple key copy, big mistake. They have 30 departments and four employees to manage all of them. I first waited patiently by the key machine, no one even passed by for 10 minutes. I walked over to lumber and an employee said he'd call someone. Back to the key machine I went. I waited. Waited some more. Should've brought a bagged lunch. I walked over to customer service and asked for some help, again I'm told someone would come. 35 minutes after entering the store a tall gentleman with a shirt that said "customer service" came over. At first he didn't look like he knew how to operate the new key machine, which is now all digital scanning. Three attempts and he tells me they don't have my key (it's a mailbox key, not a Mercedes car key). In the middle of the third attempt he started assisting another customer, while the machine prompt was waiting for him to input a command. He asked me if I tried the self service machine, I told him I had but it wants $4 and it's JUST A MAILBOX KEY. His parting words to me were "I guess you'll have to pay $4 then". Wow, nice! I drove less than 1 mile west to the Home Depot on Oakland Park Blvd - night and day experience. I was kindly greeted at the hardware department by a lovely gentleman who had my key copied in less than three minutes, and the key was $2 ($2 saved is nice but it's a matter of principle). Next! This visit on 12/24 came only due to following an item as a gift for the holidays. Fortunately, I was previously warned about this Lowe's location. With all the history and facts behind this location I will hold on the details. However, despite warning I visit the location for the specifics of this item requested for the holidays. HUGE, HUGE, HUGE mistake!!!! Not only was management horrible who was assisting in the customer service area...along with other staff who watched a long line of waiting customer's, decided to put left behind items on a tray, take the garbage out, and ignore the customer's. Customer's were in complaining about items purchased not working and or defected, lots of returns and lost items that should have arrived to the store location. There was a nice lady in the "seasonal" area who was nice as stated but had NO idea of how to assist customer's and no idea of the area she was in. Therefore, she directed me and two other customers to the service area. The area where I waited 35+ minutes to be assisted, only to be told to wait longer as they call some one name "Dennis". They called Dennis multiple times as I waited an additional 25 minutes. He was no where to be found. I asked for clarification purposes, was it his lunch time, break, did he go home and no one could answer. Mind you, I asked these questions in front of the person they identified as management. Waste of time! Training and or credentials to lead is definitely questionable. Finally, the infamous Dennis showed up with a massive confused look and horrible attitude. Definitely not prepared or ready to assist a customer. We then walked over to the area where the items that I needed was located. only for him to begin to fix other items that he noticed was out of place and point with little to no details on comparison information to several different options that I could purchase of the specific items. At the end of the day, I stood in the store and did my own research after all the wasted time, sent Dennis in his MERRY way. ***There's no worry of me returning to this store. My recommendation to any of my friends, family members, and concerned strangers is to not visit this location if you care of customer service and expect some form of professionalism and knowledge from said employees wearing the vest, shirts, and badges. read more

One of the absolute worst cusotmer experiences of my life. I ordered 4 doors in November 22 --(6 months ago) for a new home I am building -doors for the bedrooms and bathrooms (think privacy). I waiited and waited and waited --they never came. I called and called a total of more than 30 times-each time it was nearly impossible to get through (30 minute hold times then cut off). On one of the times I called I had the miisfortune of having to interact with an associate (Randia) who displayed abhorant manners, rude, aggressive, interupting and accusatory- really disgusting. I have never been spoken to like that as a customer in my life. Keep in mind they have had $1400.00 for 6 months and I still dont have the doors. Due to the way I was spokenn to and mistreated as a customer--I will not EVER shop at Lowe's again. I tried to escalate this to coporate several times but it is evenn mor impossible to reach someone there and they have designed their system to make it so customers cannot communicate with their stores. Talked to 'Luis', Lulu and 'Griselda' at pro desk about my order and they knew nothing about it, didnt talk to Melanie , did not offer to call Melanie at customer service just made me walk back over there even though i told them she sent me to the pro desk. They were either lazy, or just not listening to me or don't care. Obv, i dont know their intellectual capacity either. If I could give less that a 1 star I would! This store is so goofed up, I ordered a chain saw blade and a bottle of chain saw blade lubricant and they could not even get that correct. I paid the $15.00 additional fee for same day delivery and every time I call to check on the order I get a message stating my delivery was completed April 14, 20204, yet today is April 29, 2024! I have called the store multiple times to try and correct this, but to no avail. I called "corporate" and was told my order accidently was placed in "pick up" and they would delivery it immediately. Well . . . immediately must mean some time that is convenient for them as it is now the end of then day on April 29, 2024, I have called "corporate" and the store on Oakland Park Blvd onlt to find myself on hold for hours on end.
