Lowe's is a good brand for all sorts of DIY needs. I personally love the Hardware/Tool section the most..... My wife more the Garden center. Selection is great, quality of the merchandise too. Yet you need to price shop, not all things at Lowe's are inexpensive, though you can go cheap like with the competition, yet then you get what you pay for. I found them in contracts a tad too expensive and the competition is here more flexible and down to earth. You know? When I want a kitchen for a 10' x 10' room, than I don't want to see a price which would easily buy you a brand new middle class car! This shop is very close to home, so it's very convenient. Absolutely the worst customer service. We bought a refrigerator and scheduled for it to be delivered. Not a single question of "is this an apartment or home", "are there stairs involved". Due to these questions not being asked when it came time for delivery, we were informed that they would not be delivering the refrigerator. They stated that they needed a four man team since we owned a bi-level home. I then spoke with the store manager who assured me it would be redelivered the next day. When I called and spoke with the manager the next day, I was informed that the manager previously had lied about being able to get it delivered. They had stated that they would have to get in contact with the delivery company and get approval to have the refrigerator delivered again but with a four man team. So now we have no refrigerator and a company I once loved that does not remember what customer service is all about. I will never step foot inside of a Lowe's again. read more

Regarding the extended 5 year appliance warranty. They tell you it starts after the manufacturers warranty ends but that is not true. It really starts the day you buy the appliance. So you pay for 5 years but you really only get 3 additional. Pure rip off. I just looked at the FAQ on Lowes own website and it says it starts AFTER manufacturers warranty. This company can't even get things right on their own site. Go somewhere else for appliances. Be glad you did. This is ridiculous. I just spent an hour trying to cost match a price for a toilet. I called like they suggestd and got called back 20 min later. I told them exactly what I wanted and needed. Got put on hold again for ten minutes. They came back to the phone and said I definately qualified for the price match which would have been a savings of about 60.00. Wayfair has the Swiss Madison Carre Glossy White Dual FLush toilet for 311.50 when Wayfair has it for 258.50 ish. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. I purchased online in june 2019 some items totalling up to $1400. Some items arrived but one. I received an email for the missing item in September 2019 advising it had just been delivered. We contacted Lowes to order a dishwasher and have it installed. The salesperson was friendly, but when it came to installation, we received a lot of trouble. We talked to the Manager who was rude. It's unfortunate that the order, delivery and installation could not be accomplished on line. Since the Manager gave us a hard time, we cancelled our dishwasher order. We then went to the Best Buy website and we were able to order the dishwasher and schedule delivery and installation on line. No hassles, no rude Managers. On 5/23/17, I wrote a one-star review for this Lowe's store for an incident involving alteration of the amount to be paid on one of my checks by a Lowe's employee. I have since talked with the manager, Frank, who agreed that the alteration of my check was an egregious performance error.. With the documentation I provided to him at the time, he pledged to counsel appropriately and then let me know when he'd done so. As promised, he phoned me today to report that the disciplinary action had been completed. The check alteration that prompted my previous review happened, so that review stands. The lumber department guys will know you're a regular and get your wood cut by them but won't say a word that the saw is broken... AGAIN! as you sift through their subpar wood for 30 minutes. If you call to ask a question they answer with the worst attitude and just hang up. The only people we've had great customer service from is the guy that runs the custom doors department, the paint department, and the 2 ladies that work the register in lumber. I can say, I have NEVER received worst customer in my life! We order windows from Lowes. We forgot to put delivery on the order. So I called the branch and had them set up a delivery time, set it up with my husband for Monday. They were supposed to get it delivered, my husband sat out at the house we are remodeling for 4 hours. Never showed, called lowes, explained situation to the manager was told someone would call back. 4 calls later from us, I got another delivery date for Sat. Morning. 11:30 came, no call. So frustrated, I called again, this time the people helped, but I called the wrong Lowes. Finally called the right Lowes, got the manager, and was told he was busy with a customer and would call me back in 45 mins. Like we would believe that! Needless to say, I went off and hung up. The customer service associates are a joke. I couldn't find the sealed box for the kitchen sink we wanted to purchase tonight (Kohler Bellera). We looked up and down the entire aisle and were unable to locate a sales associate, so we went to the front to ask for help. I told them the model name and asked if they were out. One of the ladies said to the other lady, "I guess she expects us to see if we have it. If we don't, we won't sell it to her because it's owned by the manufacturer." Instead of looking it up in her system, she pages someone who finally returned the page and told me to go back and someone would be there to help. I decided to finally look it up on my phone to see if they post their inventory and saw the store was out of stock. The other sales associate saw that I looked upset and said she could look it up for me if I gave her the model name (Which I had already given her when we first approached). I recently remodeled my bathroom, and while hanging a framed picture on the wall, I dropped it, and broke the tank lid on the toilet. I went to Lowe's in Olympia, where I was assisted by Rhonda in the plumbing department. After she spent about twenty minutes tracking down the part, she told me I could have her order it for $46. But, she said, she had checked online, and it was also available for less at another store. I appreciated the service and transparency. I've had very mixed experiences at this Lowes location. Some days you are greeted on entering and asked if you need help finding anything, other days you are completely on your own. Some of the employees really know their merchandise and can give excellent advise while others seem like they really are just biding time until their shift is done. I have called this location to see if an item was in stock and talked to an employee who didn't think they carried the item only to tell me it was in stock and they do carry it after he walked down the aisle to check. It is definitely worth your time to check on appliance discounts on units that had been purchased and returned. I saved hundreds on a freezer that been returned and worked fine. Just be aware that if you live outside of town Lowes has certain days of the week for the free appliance delivery outside of the OLT area, not the next day delivery* they show on their ads. My biggest issue with Lowes has to be their inaccuracy of their online inventory. I had been looking to purchase a screen door that the website said was in stock at this location (actually showed they had three) but was not in stock when I went to the store. Home Depot seems to have a much better inventory tracking system that has never been wrong the way Lowes has been. The inaccurate Lowes system caused me to drive around to another store to get the item I wanted which is a major pain if you budget a certain amount of time to pick something up. read more

We just had the worst experience at lowes. The cashier lady was so rude. I asked if she could please tell me the balance on my gift card beings that's what it said on the back of the card to get the balance. In a rude tone she says no. I said um ok. So I am now making a purchase with no idea how much money I have to spend. I was going to do self check out, but the lady would not let me. She then asks me for my ID. Not to sure why but I gave it to her. She enters it on her til and about a min and a half later she tells me she does not think there is any money on my gift card. So I paid cash. My boyfriend was also making a purchase and was using 2 different payment methods. We ask her for help with the split payment to be told no they don't take my visa debit card. I have never heard of a place not taking a visa debit card. We were so fed up we walked out and won't be back to lowes. I was so disappointed with the rude cashier and not taking my payment. read more

Meet with store manager, garden specialist, emailed and phone Customer Care with no help from all of them. Built a new home 2014 and started working on back yard the next year. Purchase a lot $$$$ from them on everything, planted Madame Galen Trumpet Vines and more. We had a problem with the Trumpet Vine last November and took them out. Now we have them coming up all over the yard. We dug up (2) rose plants that they where in them, lost the roses. The roots are in a area 30' long x 6' wide and more. The only way to get them out of the yard is to dig up all the plants (8 more roses) to make sure they will not come back. People on line say this plant is from HELL. It will cost us hundreds of dollars, labor and time to get the yard back again. Customer Care asked what it would take to help, I told me what it would take. The next email from them they said the plants are good for one year and its been longer than that so will not help. Will not even give us a bag of dirt. Plus Lowes said they stopped selling the Trump Vines TWO YEARS AGO. WHY? read more

I'm only writing a review in hopes that it will help with the company standards. My Husband and I went to this Lowes the past weekend to pick up some items. The store is kept organized, but if anyone's been inside a Lowes, will know- that it's HUGE! We saw a handful of employees on the floor but we spent majority of the time hustling towards one , locking eyes and then them darting down an isle. All of them purposely darted through the isles steering clear from all customers interactions. It was almost commical, because when we would get to the isle that they darted down they usually will be gone or standing there, empty handed, scratching their chin looking at nothing! After playing cat and mouse for 30 minutes we decided to leave and go to Home Depot instead. On our way out an older gal at the checkout counter noticed we needed help ! Finally!! I didn't catch her name but she has silver hair and glasses. She helped direct us to an item. The appliance department can take 20 or 30 minutes of standing around and dodging other customers to get an associate to help you. Consider this a self-service store. We had a scheduled delivery from this store to a vacant house we are renovating. They gave us a 2 hour window. Ok, fine, we can wait. We ended up waiting 3 1/2 hours. We made 2 calls to customer service and got 2 very different stories. Truck finally shows up and the driver tells us that another customer had called in, asking to be the first delivery and changed everything around, causing the delay. A phone call would have been nice to know about the change. We addressed the manager on duty and his first remark was, "I can't go back and change anything, what do you expect me to do?" No apology, no acknowledgement of the lack of communication, at all. Nothing but a bad attitude. Then he gave us a different excuse of there being a car accident. Sorry, a car accident does not cause over an hour delay in Shelton. He then proceeded to tell us this happens everyday with their delivery system. Very poor customer service. I get that things sometimes goes sideways and mistakes are made. When it does, don't give me excuses or attitude, acknowledge the mistake and apologize. I will never again use this Lowes store.
