Just purchased a washer and dryer from this store. Customer service was awesome; helpful with making a decision and found me an amazing deal. They also were able to schedule delivery the next day! Only hiccup was the delivery never showed, so I called to find out when they would be at my house (they couldn't get it on the truck and it was coming the next day) Needless to say, I was not happy, BUT the manager )Eric) called me and apologized and said he was sending his guys back out and they be at my house in 30 minutes!!!! After shopping around, my wife and I decided to buy a new washer and dryer from Lowes on Martin Way in Olympia, WA. The same models (LG 3250 series) were available from Home Depot and Sears, but we liked the pricing of extended warranties, and the knowledgeable employees at Lowes. We were assured that if there were problems, we would get great support to resolve them. Tonight, approximately 5 weeks after having the pair installed, the dryer refuses to start. All the lights, bells, and whistles are on, but the thing simply won't start. We even installed the smartphone app, and tried the auto diagnosis, but the result was not helpful. Since the dryer is so new, I called the Lowes store, hoping to get an expedited solution. No such deal - they just gave me the number for the repair service line and wished me well. So I called...this is Thursday night and we will supposedly have someone here next Tuesday. My wife will be packing wet clothes to the laundromat tomorrow morning. To say I'm not particularly happy is a serous understatement. read more

Wow, what a fiasco from beginning to end! I placed an online order for a new washer and drier from Lowe's for delivery, hook up and take away. I will never attempt this again and would recommend the same for you! It was very frustrating calling the store assigned to your online order and nobody knows anything about it or where it is in the process! I was finally given a delivery date approximately two weeks later with a time slot of 7 am to 9 pm and took the whole day off to meet with the delivery team. A few days prior to my delivery date I was emailed a new delivery date and I took a second day off to meet with the delivery team. After making several calls the morning of the second delivery attempt I was told that the delivery team was in another part of my area and I would not be on the delivery route that day. I was offered a discount and a Saturday delivery but I declined and cancelled my order. I had filled out an online application for the in store rebate credit card and received it in the mail before the delivery was even completed. Needless to say I didn't have the heart to spend it at the store because I am doing all my shopping at The Home Depot now. read more

Customer service is lacking. I asked for help of 4 employees in the paint department's mixing area, but they looked through me and went back to their BS'ing. I asked a checker for a manager, and he told me he hadn't seen one since noon. I finally found one, and he just showed me where the product I was looking for. He never asked question nor seemed concerned. I'm done there. read more

Once again, Lowe's disappoints in customer service. Stopped by to get some de-icer for work. Wanted the pet-friendly kind since many of us are pet owners, pets sometimes come into the office, deicer can be carried into our homes on our shoes, and we have some really cute wild bunnies on the property. Asked at the customer service desk. Employee just starts walking, no "I'll help you with that, please follow me"... I got the clue he expected me to follow because he glanced back after a few paces. So I follow. He mumbles something about needing to ask someone else and abruptly pivots away from where he was leading. So I stop where he pivoted, watch him walk over to another associate. Then he starts walking away, glances back, so I quickly catch up to him. He leads me to a display of the same type of de-over that was next to the customer service counter and says that's all they have. I get that you don't have a wide selection. I get that you might need to ask another associate. Maybe show some customer service/basic understanding of politeness with your customers though! read more

I bought a GE gas stove which was not the cheapest stove nor the cheapest GE model. Within a month I had to schedule two repairs. The GE warranty repair person is booked up for two weeks. I had previously purchased a jacuzzi tub from Lowe's in Olympia and had issues with delivery. I just purchased a dryer for delivery and learned from a rude person who has been rude to me before by phone that essentially your 12 hour delivery window does not narrow even on the date of delivery until just before your product shows up. Be warned that ordering on line from the Olympia store somehow involves the Lacey store for delivery. read more

The store has a good layout and has good customer service. I've shopped at this location several times over the past two years, and I have had good experiences at this store. The staff is courteous and helpful, and I can usually find assistance quickly when needed. The only problem I've had is that this store doesn't always have the items I am looking for. Some products that I usually buy at the other Lacey location are not carried here, so it results in me having to go to that location for certain items. But in other instances when I've used online ordering for store pickup, I've noticed that this store usually has the items in stock whereas the other Lacey store is sometimes sold out or supply is low. It might just be coincidence, but I'm usually able to get what I need as long as it's an item the store typically carries. read more

Of the box home improvement store you have Lowe's or Home Depot. I go to them both but if Lowe's was closer or the same distance from where I lived I would go to them more often. They seem to have few people to help you but the people they have seem to be more knowledgable. The prices are competitive and the quality of the goods is good. About the only think I don't like about Lowe's is they don't carry Milwaukee power tools. They also give a 10% discount to veterans and active military!! read more

Exhausted and exacerbated beyond belief. Ordered all mew home appliances and accessories from this store. First, they changed the delivery time three times from am to pm to evening--without notification. Next the delivery agent could not use their gps app to find our property--I had to talk him turn by turn and mile by mile. Then we found out one of the appliances was not on the truck. Again, no notification from this store. So I called the store 4 times until I got a live person who found the appliance sitting o the dock. We got it rescheduled. Well that went even worse. The delivery agent again could not use their gps, but this time the driver did not even call me, just blew off the delivery. So I was again chasing the appliance and a second rescheduled delivery. As of this moment, nobody from the Lowe's Olympia store has contacted me about the incident or to reschedule. I don't care who's error caused each of these issues. What truly is the problem is that nobody from Lowe's has yet to call me and work on next steps (they should be looking at a process improvement opportunity) read more

This place is the worst. Nobody knows what the hell their doing. After waiting 15 minutes for somebody to arrive, it took two employees 30 minutes for them to cut two sets of blinds and they even have a computer operated machine that does it for them. I hate coming here. Home Depot in Fones Rd is the closest alternative is way better. Save yourself the wastes time and hassle and just go there. read more

So my daughter and I arrived at 6:58 pm. We were met at the door buy a guy named Dave. He proceeded to tell us that the store was closed. I told him I understand that but I really need one bolt to repair my car to get to work tomorrow. Could he please let us in for a single bolt. I showed it to him and explained that we would be out of the store in literally three minutes. There were customers in lines inside the store right on the other side of the glass. No we close at 7. I show him my phone. It now says 6:59. He says that is my opinion. I ask for a manager. He says he is the manager. Dave, if you are in fact the manager you have the absolute worst customer service skills I have ever experienced in real life. Covid-19 is is pushing people to their absolute limits financially. Everyone is struggling through this together and all you're doing is making it more difficult for other people in your own community. Shame on you for you absolute lack of compassion and reason. My family will never spend another dollar at a Lowe's because of Dave "the manager". read more

We shopped at Lowes on Martin Way in Olympia yesterday (July 5th). Paying for the goods in our cart was a real trip. The only pay station open was the self-check-out main with one cashier. There were seven customers and two comfort dogs ahead of us in line. Maybe Lowes is not a good place to shop for home improvement needs on the day after a holiday. However, Lowes certainly seems to be a pet friendly store for persons emotionally attached to their dogs. Yep, Lowes is going to the dogs. read more

My pregnant wife, 18-month old daughter and I drove over an hour each way from Shelton to this store in order to return something, and planned to get something else we needed. As money is tight right now, we needed the store credit from the return in order to make the purchase. The cashier put the money on the card, although i needed store credit. She apologized for not asking. I complained to the manager, who tried telling me they never give store credit when the purchase is with a credit card. Since i shop there a lot, and have made returns before and received store credit, i know this to not be true. The manager even admitted that even if i had returned the items WITHOUT the receipt they would have given me store credit. I felt i was being called a liar, and that they didn't care at all that we all had just made a 2.5 hour round-trip for nothing. I don't like the way they treated us as long-time customers. I intend to shop at Home Depot from now on. If absolutely necessary to shop at Lowe's, it most definitely will not be this one. read more

Horrible customer service. Went in to buy a large patio umbrella which was prominently on display at the front of the store. No one is there to help so I have to go to customer service and ask for help. A few minutes later a guy shows up, checks the back to see if they have one in stock, comes back and says they do have one but it may take a few minutes because it's on the very top. So I go back to the display umbrella, wait for about 30 minutes, the guy never comes back, so I finally go to the back of the store where I find him wandering the aisles. I ask him if he got my umbrella down and he says yes, it's on the floor back there, pointing to the side of the store. He does get me a flat card, but offers no assistance in getting this large heavy 11 foot item on the flat cart, he just walks off. I manage to get it on a flat cart by myself, take it to the front, only to find there are no check out lane opens other than self check. I get there and can't find the bar code or how to scan it. A young woman employee with a nose ring is standing there so I ask her for help, and she is very rude, points to another employee and says "ask him". Shame on the management of this store for having such low standards for customer service. I for one will never do business with Lowe's again, Home Depot customer service is 1000 times better. read more

I just called Lowes on Martin and got hung up twice... So I called back and they finally sent me to "plumbing" because I am trying to fix my shower door. So I ask the guy, "do you have hinges--" I wasn't even done, I was going to go into the style and make of the door and he immediately says "Nope! No hinges." So I'm like, "then what do you sell in regards to shower doors?" And he says "look, I'm with a customer, we sell some materials and other stuff...." What?! Other stuff??? Kevin at the paint counter was awesome! I brought a kitchen cabinet in to try and match the color of a stain. He got a sample piece of the wood I was going to use and applied different stains to see which ones would be closest. He also took his time explaining the best finishing practices. My project came out great and I saved hundreds of dollars by not having to special order pre-finished cabinet bases. read more

Every time I go here I either get incompetence or rudeness. I called this store around 3 pm today to ask if they had an item in stock. I gave them the item number and he stated "Yes we have one in stock." I then said "Great could you hold it at customer service for me please? I will be over after work to pick it up." He told me "No problem." After I hung up I wasn't really convinced they really held it for me but I thought I'd give them a chance. When I arrived I waited in line at customer service. When I got to the register the guy behind the counter asked nicely "How can I help you?" Before I could open my mouth another worker walked up and started talking to him. Totally oblivious to me. Didn't even say excuse me or I'm sorry to interrupt. Just completely ignored the fact that I was standing there. To top it all off they didn't have my item on hold they didn't even have it in the store. The worker behind the counter was the one I talked to on the phone. He then said to me. " To be honest I didn't go grab that for you." I just walked away. I will never be back to this store. read more

Average customer service - hit and miss for knowledgeable staff, and you'll have to approach them if you need help.

Customer service basics are a no-brainer, so why it falters so badly in a major department store like this, is not only frustrating for the shopper, but mystifying. I tend to shop in the evening, 8pm-10pm, and have been into each of the two Olympia stores no less than ten times over the past two months due to remodeling... but even though you'll see clusters of salespeople chatting together in the distance, none seem trained (or inclined) to turn around and look to see where their help might be needed (you know, by the customers who are paying their salary?). When I do find one that bothers to politely check in on me, I'm so incredibly grateful that I feel like chaining them to my cart and dragging them around the warehouse until I'm sure I won't need them anymore. Suffice to say, Lowes' upper management really ought to be checking in with yelp to see what's going down. It's so extreme that I've seen employees repeatedly walk by shoppers with their eyes intentionally averted, so that a person would literally need to shout out in order to snag them. Why is this part of their culture? It needs serious attention, maybe a Personal Shopper program, to put a little respect for customer care back into their training program. Love their products and selection, but most of us need a consistent sales staff to answer common questions. Seriously, I wished I'd had a bullhorn to summon assistance last time I was in there, it felt deserted of personnel at 8:30pm, and I stood in the main flooring area for ten minutes before anyone passed by. Had my feet not already been howling from a long day, I would've jogged around more aggressively to hunt down an employee... but the point is that no one should have to do that. Employees ought to be seeking US out, not the other way around. read more

Wow, fantastic customer service. I ordered two doghouses which Lowes has to special order. The manufacturer makes them to order. Originally, we thought they'd be in in 10-12 days One month later they shipped. The salesman has called me weekly with updates about his conversations with the manufacturer. He arranged for the assembly fee to be deleted from the charge and he told me he spoke to his supervisor about delivering them to me at no extra charge. While the wait was really annoying, it was not Lowes' fault. Their attempt at making a customer happy went beyond expectations. A+ Lowes. As always, I'm not disappointed in this store. read more

I was at self check out, and the scanner beeped that it had to verify the weight of something. Only problem was, there wasn't anyone near the self checkout. There were 4 workers standing in the middle of the aisle, just talking....two even turned and looked at me.....but didn't come over. So.....I left and went to Home Depot instead. read more

I'm 100% service disabled and this Lowe's has only 3 electric carts, but only 2 at any time area actually functional! Last week I tried 3 times to shop at Lowes. All 3 times, the 2 working carts were busy or not charged. I am very disappointed and this actually violates my rights to shop since you have many handicapped spots out front, but I guess you are not REALLY friendly to disabled people like myself. read more

Worst service from Phil in the lumber department. I needed a "professional opinion" on a type of plywood, and went looking for a staff member. I made eye contact with him several times and he turned around and/or got on his cell phone to ignore me. A cashier finally got him to come help me, and he was ridiculously short. While I'm clearly not a contractor, I'm not an idiot. He surely didn't need to talk to me as if I was. I asked if he could cut the board, and he said he could cut it in half to fit in my car but that was it. I needed it smaller, but cutting it it half would be too small so I asked a specific measurement and he sighed an exasperated sigh and said sure but they don't do project cuts just cuts to fit in the car. That's fine, but if cutting it to fit in my car works for the same cuts I need anyway, that should be okay too. He had another employee do the cut (he told him to do a single cut) and we checked car measurements and saw a second cut would be required so the employee did the second cut. Phil snuck up around behind the employee to "catch" him doing the second cut. Absolutely horrible management; disrespectful. Especially when the guy doing the cuts before ours did a ton of true project cuts. The guy who did our cuts, I didn't catch his name, but he was very kind and helpful. Phil on the other hand needs an attitude adjustment, and if Lowes is going to have people like that in management I'd hope they reconsider. read more

ok so i had a problem with a log splitter that i owned for over a year. it was a troy bilt product so they had to deal with them. the costumer service manager tami was the one that was helping me and that is what she did. she was down for me . she was on my side. one week later i drove away with a brand new $2000 log splitter. they did not have to do that but they did. thank you lowes and thank you tami! read more

We decided to take on that horrible remodel job in our home. After dealing with several contractors, we just got exhausted & poor. So after seeing a Lowes commercial, I told my husband it wouldn't hurt to check it out. We needed a Kitchen. We spoke with Spencer Englund, What a Guy!! Very patient with us, we asked every silly question under the Sun, we were nervous because we had to deal with contractors in the past. My husband was more nervous & made at least 3 visits to return & ask more questions & feeling anxious. Spencer stayed professional & reassure my husband & answer every question & showed over & over how all of this will get done. We order our kitchen, & went through the process, Spencer held our hands through it all. He was great. The contractor Lowes sent out to do the work is one of the Best contractor ever!! SPENCER assured us he would be & he was right!! Because of Spencer, we now used Lowes for our continued remodeling in our other rooms. My kitchen is more beautiful than I had hoped for. Quality employees, Quality products, Quality outside workers. Happy Customers!!! Trust Lowes, Trust their promise! So glad we did!! Thank you Spencer. read more
