I ordered a ceiling fan and installation. Three weeks later it is still not installed. One person showed up and disconnected my old fan and promised to return but has not. 7 others have made appointments but not shown up. I am worse off because they showed up. We have been doing business with Lowes for at least 15 years. We have purchased many appliances and countertops in at least 2 homes over the past few years and many more purchases. This last week we purchased 2 cans of Lazy Grey Sherwin Williams Paint from the Lowes on Big Hallow. We started painting Friday morning. We ran out of the first gallon and started with the second in the afternoon. It was a totally different color. We waited for it to dry, then took pictures. We showed the pictures to the manager. We were told that it was their policy not to reimburse for paint. Even though they had just mixed both cans of paint that morning, we were told it was our fault. We took the first can to the local Sherwin Williams, and she was able to mix an exact match. (Oh, by the way, if you want Sherwin Williams paint, just go straight TO Sherwin Williams. The paint is better quality. We have decided not to do any further business with Lowes. We just bought a house here in Peoria and guess where we will NOT be getting new countertops and appliances (and yes, we really are putting in new countertops). Like just about everyone else who's written a review of the Peoria, Illinois, Lowe's, I have little good to say. I also note that no one from Lowe's has responded to a single online review. That is revealing. I'd also point out that nowhere on lowes.com does the company have an email link for customer service. Apparently, they are uninterested in customers' concerns. There is, however, a phone number, but if you call, you'll be exhausted from the time on hold. The help buttons that used to be posted around the store have also disappeared. Again, that's very telling. I went in to buy glass and have it cut to size. Naturally, no one was around to assist. I wandered to find anyone wearing a name tag and found a helpful guy named Scott who made a call to the manager of the hardware/glass department, Cory. I went back to the glass cutting area and waited for Cory. Cory never showed up. I left without buying the glass or anything else for my project. On Monday, I'll be calling locally-owned Grawey Glass. Good-bye, Lowes! read more

Writing yet another review of this store. It's been seven or eight months since I bought special order doors from the Big Hollow Lowe's. I paid for the doors at the time. Now all these months later I suddenly get a phone call from Lowe's saying I have it paid for the doors and I owe them almost $500. Lowe's in store people are nothing like they were before the pandemic. I suspect the experience in eligible staff mostly retired at that time. Now there are a bunch of well I'll be nice and call them incompetent people in the store, and apparently now also in billing. I don't know what I'm gonna do about this bogus bill. I don't want it to go to collections so I suppose I'll have to pay it eventually. How ridiculous is that? I will never go to Lowe's again for anything. read more

You're probably better off going to Home Depo in Grand Prairie or one of the various Ace Hardware. In my honest opinion, if you must order online and get the items shipped or order for a locker pick up. If they make a mistake they will mock you instead of just apologizing and moving on. Remember you don't need them but they need you, unfortunately they have it twisted. read more

The only reason this is a one star review is because no stars isn't an option!!! This Lowe's in Peoria, IL makes me want to poke my eyes out! Can't get anyone to help without walking forever to find an employee and then when you do, they best they can do is point you in the 'general' direction of what you've asked for....this isn't the first time this has happened at this store!! Heaven forbid they'd ask any questions on specifics, perhaps for instance, what are you trying to do or what do you need to do or what do you hope to accomplish? But, NO! That would cut into their phone time....also not the first time that's been observed! And, before you jump to conclusions that they're using a Lowe's phone, they definitely did NOT appear to be using a company phone...unless of course bedazzling and stickering a company phone is allowed! Had a great experience at Peoria Lowes today. I'm building a temporary fence and need to build it from individual pickets instead of panels. The pickets I was looking for were $1.17 each and I couldn't find them. I finally gave up and asked one of the lumber guys about them and gave him the item number from the website. (Website showed 1000+ pickets in stock. The guy couldn't find them either, but wouldn't give up. They had to be there somewhere. This guy was tenacious! Spent about 45 mins looking and finally found them in stock tucked into a corner of lawn and garden. He came and found me while I was finishing up picking out the other lumber I need, and asked him how many I needed. He said to finish what I was doing, check out and meet him outside the gate at l&g. I did as he asked, he already had the pickets loaded onto a cart, and had 2 other guys ready to help load. Quick receipt check and my pickets were loaded in minutes. Not very impressed. Couldn't find anyone in the outdoor power equipment section. Pushed the "need help" button at the service desk. No one came, so I went to the return/refund/customer service desk. Two clerks were there assisting customers. One finished and walked off. Didn't acknowledge me or say, "We will be with you in a moment." Nothing. So, the remaining customer service rep finally called someone for me. After hanging up the phone, she said, "There is someone going to that aisle, or there's someone at the service desk now." As I headed over, the guy at the desk was walking off. I called out to him, but he kept going. So, back I went to the original aisle.....waited another 5 minutes and no one showed up. Back to the customer desk, and pressed the "Need assistance button." Someone finally came that time. He showed me what I needed, and provided some details, but kept asking, "Any more questions" as though he was anxious to break off contact with me. Not sure if I'll be back to this Lowe's. If I do.....I hope it's a better experience. I should have talked to the manager, but I was peeved already. read more

I would give NO STARS if that was an option! I ordered a washer and dryer online, the computer said 2-3 day delivery. No problem. All we needed was to have them delivered, we would bring them in the house. Our dryer went out and we are replacing them. Order confirmed but no one ever called or emailed to set up delivery and nowhere online said they were not delivering because of covid. ALL the other appliance stores are open and delivering! I had to call the Peoria store and chose the delivery department from the automated menu. That be an an hour and a half ordeal of getting someone who knows what the heck they are doing! ALL of the employees and the assistant manager, Laura, and the operations manager, Jackie, are idiots! Seems they can't find my order and take a very long time to look it up. Laura didn't even know how to look it up and had to find an associate to do it for her!!! Incompetence is the name of THIS store! #167. After 10000 excuses, no employees that know what they are doing the ass manager-Laura, starred to tell me they were not delivering because of covid! Your store is so fucked up I had them cancel my order and I'm ordering from Sherman's as we speak!! This store is trash and I'll never do business with them again! I am on hold right now wit the Lowe's home office to complain! Never deal with them!! read more

I went in looking for certain soil and other supplies and literally got no help. I had to ask and they said well neithet of us has a clue about it maybe so and so does...i said ok id like to talk to her...and they never called so i said forget it ill never be back here...just to show how pathetic the customer service was i SCREAMED at the top of my lungs help!! As loud as i could and noone could even hear me....pathetic....and terrivle customer service and bad attitudes...worthless i will never go back....they lost a lot of business in me and my father...sick of these companies basically saying F you to people...never again! I wish i had names bc they were rude af....never would I ever go back....my advice ..only go there if you KNOW they have it and dont expect much after that....even help finding things ...they didnt even show me...just pointed....terrible business with rude staff. Horrible customer service.. was trying to purchase a dryer. I talked to 5 different people all saying they were looking to see if it was in stock and would call me back.. NO CALL BACK.. finally talked to a manager and she laughed and said sorry you feel we have given you the run around, we hope u shop with us again soon.. oh and no we don't have the dryer.. then an hour later a customer service girl called to see we have 2 in stock when do u want to come get it.. no thanks I will never do business with you again read more

I am a veteran and have been going to Lowe's in Peoria ever since they opened. Until recently, all I had to do was show a Military ID to get the Veteran discount. When I went there today, however, I was informed that I now have to "pre-register" in order to get the Veteran discount. I left and went to Home Depot which is further away. No problem there and was thanked for my service by Home Depot. I will NOT be going back to Lowe's after this. read more

We live 30 minutes from the nearest hardware supply store so my husband went to Lowe's in Peoria to get materials for our rental property. He was picking up sheet rock when his back gave out. He struggled to get the sheet rock onto the cart while employees less than 5 ft away never offered to help. Finally after being unable to do it on his own, he asked the 4-5 employees STANDING NEARBY for assistance. He was told "WE ARE RUNNING SHORT STAFFED TODAY SO WE DONT HAVE ANYONE TO HELP YOU" ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? What happened to customer service? Would not recommend this store! read more
