I am writing to share my recent experience at your store and to commend an associate named Connor in the lumber department for his stellar customer service. Connor was immensely helpful throughout my visit. He willingly cut my wood to size and helped me identify a defective board, which I was able to purchase discounted since it was intended for use under a bed frame. Afterward, he walked me to self-checkout, coordinated the discount with another manager, and even loaded the wood into my car. Connor's professionalism and willingness to go above and beyond are a credit to Lowe's Home Improvement. I will say that I have visited here regularly and have never been impressed by the staff. I know it's a job and rarely do any of us like going to work but when you're in a customer service business - at least fake it. I feel like I'm a burden to them by asking simple questions. I also found that Lowe's clearly relies on Self-Service checkouts rather than having a couple of real folks running a register. I absolutely believe Lowe's Corporate is having problems and is trying to push for more online sales than in the store. Back to this store. I have found it to be disorganized at times. I understand customers mess things up and move things but the staff needs to go around a pickup some and rearrange things. During my latest visit, I needed to use the restroom and found the toilet leaking water all over the place. You would think someone could fix a toilet at a home improvement store. There was a bunch of rust, so it is safe to assume this has been an ongoing issue. Then I made the mistake of trying to buy a few clearance items. As I self-checked myself out, the items rang up wrong. After three folks checking (5-6 minutes wasted) they claimed I had the wrong items. I explained to them the display that I grabbed my items from, and they continue to insist I was wrong. So I intentionally walked to the display, took photos of the items and the barcodes. To prove my point. Again instead of admitting their staff mislabeled or made a mistake, the staff continued to infer I had made a mistake. Needless to say, I did not make that purchase. Again when you go to chain stores or restaurants you expect consistency. What makes one better or worse is the staff. In the area, we fortunately have competition. I think I will begin using the competition as a first choice when I can. Ps. I will most likely email the store manager and will see what reply I get to my concerns. I have been shopping at this store since I moved to this area 10 years ago. I just encountered the rudest, ignorant; stupid employee at the checkout counter in the lawn and garden department. When I went thru the door and asked were the bagged gravel was she snapped back and said she couldn't help me. So I found it myself. When I got to the checkout counter there was a couple in front of me and the Lowe's person fumbled around for 15 minutes, she couldn't help not figure out how to ring up their flowers. We all (3 customers got out of line and went inside to use the self checkout. You don't get attitude from them. This is the poorest run Lowe's in the twi state region. read more

Terrible Location - went to pick up a Fire-pit for the patio. Employees are unhelpful and seemingly can't work cash registers, no one was collecting carts so had to dash back out for something so basic. But really the worst of it was the Restrooms which were covered in human waste and graffiti. we don't have a lot of options in the area, but I personally will be driving the extra miles to avoid this particular store. read more

We are not going back ! This last Sunday did it ! 1. Employees act as if we WEREN'T the reason they have jobs . 2. A .Only self checkout , we had a load of mulch and they shut the gardening section . Difficult to maneuver for elderly folks . Granted there were at least 3 people in the gardening section gate/register area . B . Self checkout : we are not employees of lowes , we are neither trained nor PAID to operate their machines . Not happening EVER . We are done with lowes like we were done with PANAM , then Walmart - different reasons .Never setting foot in there again ! This was self inflicted permanent customer loss . I went to Lowes looking for a specific screw for my brass bed. I couldn't find it at all...even with the salesperson's help. The salesperson was very eager to help & had a great personality. I was grateful for his time. The inside and outside of the store was very clean and organized. It's easy to find which aisle your looking for with the huge signs everywhere. It definitely is a crafty person's paradise. Too bad I'm not very crafty. I used self-checkout, so there was no cashier interaction. All in all, I had a great experience. I just wish they had the screws I needed for my bed. read more

Customer service is non existent. Pregnant employees are not given state mandated accommodations such as stools to sit on or anti fatigue mats. My online orders have been incorrect multiple times. The employees are not happy and I can see why. Avoid this store and visit Home Depot. read more

purchased a charbroil grill at the Lowes in prince george Virginia. after paying for the grill we waited 20 minutes for an associate to unlock it and help load but after 45 minutes we were told that we could pick up the grill a week later because none were assembled, The manager would not allow us to have the display and after an hour of trying to purchase a grill we had to go to customer service to have our money returned of which the clerk also had a poor attitude.we left with no grilll! read more

Your typical Lowe's location. Has pretty much all the same stuff as any other. The staff is always very friendly, and helpful. The last time I was here I had to pick up a drill bit, and exchange some locks. The person that assisted me in exchanging my items as well as making my purchase was friendly. She apologized to me for singing out loud, but I told her it was fine and laughed. I actually found it refreshing to see someone at work with a 100% genuine smile on their face, and trying to make the work vibe more fun! Sometimes I just go to another -undisclosed- hardware store for their competitive prices, haha, and if I can't find something I need here....but usually I prefer Lowe's simply because of the superior customer service. read more

Ordered some garden supplies today. One of the items I ordered was a spreader. The other one was a lime bag. It was supposed to be a self pick up at the store when I arrived my app said that it was ready for pick up. Unfortunately I had to wait about 10 minutes so it was not ready. They did not have it available for me. Someone had to still go to the back and retrieve it when Elena brought it to me, she brought the dirtiest spreader that they had in the entire store. It still had like months of dirt and grime from being outside when I could literally see across from the register there were new and clean ones and then she proceeds to tell me that it's going to take her about another 10 minutes before she can bring me a new one, so I bring to her attention that there are cleaner ones and newer ones sitting right there across from the register and she brings it back to me and slams it on the floor and slams all of the other items that I ordered into the spreader, making a hole into the lime bag that I ordered. Heed the warnings you hear about appliances and delivery. I did not. When you call the store, as I have the last two days, no one will answer the phone. When I was finally done with the run around on the last call I asked for the appliance managers name and the store managers name. Well the person I was talking to doesn't know either because she's not even there. I find out that when they don't answer the phone at the store you go straight to the call center. Everybody knows how sweet that is. I ordered a fridge September 4th, 2023 with a delivery date of September 16th, 2023, cool. I then get an email September 15th, 2023 in the afternoon to tell me my delivery date has changed to September 21st, 2023. While reading the email I get a call from the store and really appreciated it. The person told me that Lowe's hasn't received the fridge from the manufacturer yet and that the system automatically gave me the new delivery date. He then tells me through his experience it shouldn't take that long and should be sooner. Now it's September 20th, 2023 and this afternoon I get an email saying my delivery date has now changed to November 4th, 2023. So I call again, wait forty minutes to get kicked to the call center and finally get ahold of somebody. I give them the information and they put me hold to find answers. They come back to tell me it is showing the warehouse was delayed in getting the fridge but that they did have it now. They didn't understand why the estimated delivery was so long so they put me hold and did more digging. They come back again say " I don't know". They manually put in a ticket for the stores applicant department to call me tomorrow. It doesn't make any sense. If I go to the website to order the same exact fridge it gives an estimated delivery or pickup of October 2nd, 2023. They couldn't tell me why that was either. I'm actively trying to find an alternatives to cancel my order. Lowe's you have a notoriously inefficient system and you put good people who are left with inadequate tools between you and customers trying to purchase your misleading goods and services. read more

My husband and I purchased a fridge, ice maker, and stove online on June 23rd during the July 4th sale. July 8th was the earliest available delivery date. We were told our time window was between 2-6p. The delivery drivers did not arrive until almost 7p. The gentleman were very nice, and brought the stove in with no problem...but there was no fridge or ice maker on the truck for us. I called the delivery co who referred me back to the store. The store said that the fridge was on back order and it would be 4 weeks before we received our fridge. Which didn't make sense at the time because a delivery date would not have been offered if the item was not in stock. But we agreed to wait. Last week we received an email from Amir Nassar that our fridge was sent to the wrong store and she would send a replacement to be delivered on July 28th. We never received a time of deliver call the night before and had to call the store on the 28th only to find out that all deliveries had been canceled due to the hurricane and it would now be delivered Fri 8/7. However no one informed us, it was only because we followed up that we have this info. We received another email from Amir that our original fridge had been located and it would be delivered Sun, 8/9. We told her that was not acceptable and we have been without a fridge for 4 weeks waiting for lowes to fix the problem that they created and tried to originally blame on the manufacturer. So we kept the delivery for Fri but we would have to pay for the new fridge and she would have to refund the original. We've now paid for 2 fridges. Fri the deliver men came and the fridge had a hole through the freezer door. Obviously we can not accept a fridge damage beyond use. Back to the phone we go and Amir says we would have to pay for a THIRD fridge, we refused to pay again having not received anything thus far. She said she will have to get with her manager to arrange another fridge to be delivered Sat 8/8. We never received a call back to confirm if the fridge was going to be delivered Sat. We had to call the store and the front desk manager informed us she had helped Amir to get the fridge on the truck to be delivered Sat and it would most certainly be delivered. We received a delivery time call on Sat morning that our delivery would be made between 12-4p. At 4:30p, we had to call the delivery co because we still did not have a fridge. The co said it would most definitely be delivered today but the new delivery window was between 4-8p. At 7p the delivery driver called and said they still had 4 more deliveries in front of us and did we still want it tonight or push it to tomorrow. We said we definitely want it tonight. It is now 10p. We still do not have a fridge. We called the dispatch back again, and were told by Ivory that the drivers returned to the warehouse at 8:45p. The drivers had no intention of delivering our fridge when they called at 7p. And didn't even have the decency to inform us! Is this how lowes does business? Is our money not green enough? Is it acceptable to lowes that they have customers waiting 4 weeks for a fridge because it was misplaced, and instead of looking for it, employees simply blame the manufacturer? Is it acceptable to lowes that the third party delivery co do not fulfill their obligations? I don't understand what we are supposed to do to get this problem resolved. We have been lied to repeated by lowes and it's 3rd party delivery co, we have been made promise after promise and every single one has been broken. We spent our money in good faith and lowes has been one big disappointment after another. read more

My local Lowe's excels at customer service. I am always greeted warmly as I enter the store. I have never exited the store without being asked if I found what I needed. A store clerk noticed my father's World War II cap and asked if he was registered for a military discount. The clerk registered him on the spot. The selection of stylish home decor merchandise beats the selection at the other big box store in Colonial Heights. The prices are competitive. When I bought a dryer using multiple gift cards with very, very long redemption codes that had to be entered manually, my cashier remained patient and another employee came to her aid and helped read out the extremely long numbers. They were pleasant throughout the process despite the cumbersome transaction. I know that I will receive good service and good prices whenever I shop at Lowes. read more

Our purchase of two major appliances (range and dishwasher) did not go well. Won't be buying much from this big box chain again anytime soon. Propane gas range The salesperson said Lowes sold ... but did not install ... propane gas kitchen ranges; then we were told Lowes employees were required to install the stove ($205) and there would be a $35 site survey charge and we needed permits from the County. Didn't matter the purchase was to replace an existing range and our propane gas company would install it for $99. Took several calls and several hours over several days to finally resolve (no survey ... no permits ... and we could have our propane company do the installation). Came away thinking the store was running a scam. A less persistent customer would have been cheated. Dishwasher At time of purchase .. were told a Lowes contract plumber would contact us within 72 hours to arrange for the installation. 72 hours came and went with no word from the plumber. Placed a call to the store and were told they had no record of our order. Not funny ... b/c we had the receipts. Hours later the store called to say they found the order but could not locate the dishwasher. We asked about the delivery of the propane gas range and were told there was a problem. The delivery order was for two ranges and we had only paid for one. More Lowes incompetence b/c the store had f-d up the initial order quantity ... did some magic wand- waving at the check-out but it got lost in translation. There's more to the story but I'm tired of re-living the nightmarish experience. read more

I showed up at Lowes on 4/8/22 to purchase a toolbox that was on sale an had the cashier setup a pickup later for it. Show up few hours later to pickup the toolbox to find out it was sold from under me. Great experience with Gary in the flooring and tile department. Came in when the store was about to close and was stressed to the max to get the right items for my project starting the next day. I thought we had a great experience in store buying a new washer. Nice salesmen, etc. They scheduled our delivery for the next day. The delivery truck contacted us and told us that they could not get through Fort Lee's main gate because the driver had an expired license. We called the store and spoke to the manager and asked him to reschedule a delivery for the same day since that's what we were promised. We did not receive a phone call back from the manager. We are still waiting. And I'm sure we will not receive our washer today as promised. read more

Bought a dishwasher from lowes, installed it myself. Apparently, this makes it so you could not use the warranty, which Lowes does not tell you. Called samsung and apparently, I need to get a lowes worker to come and sign off on the instillation which they want around 180$ for this...ridiculous!!! But whatever gave in and set up appointment and they dont even show up. All i recieved is we dont know what happened someone will call you later in the week to reschedule....wow great thanks now I have to wait a lot longer without a dishwasher after paying this ridiculous price. Okay, so I admit, part of the problem was me losing my receipt. But this is just plain silly. I rebuilt my deck. Tore down the 30 year wood deck and rebuilt a 20x12 composite deck with vinyl hand rails. You can figure out the cost - it wasn't cheap. I had two unopened boxes of the hidden fasteners. About $30 each. I had lost the receipt somewhere. I took them in to return them and understood it would be on a gift card. But because I did not the receipt and did not have the original card it was stolen and had a new one), they could not take these items back because ..... get this....I had never returned anything to them before that they had a record for..... huh? So, not a habitual returners. Spent thousands on my new deck, and only asking to return $60 of stuff. My fault, I lost the receipt - but Home Depot is right down the road. They do not honor sales prices or the prices of online pick up orders that you already paid for. If you buy something on sale online and do store pickup, they will try to charge you more (double in my case) and will not budge. They wouldn't even listen to corporate when they were told to honor the price. Horrible customer service to military families and hispanics. DO NOT shop here. This site doesn't have negative stars. I was in the Prince George Lowe's and I was wondering around the tools. I noticed a young lady employee stand and just talking about something they didn't like. Obviously there conversation was on the loud side. I had made eye contact with the young lady employee and she just turned away and continued to talk with a coworker. I went over and ask if anyone works in the hardware section. The young lady employee said " I work in tools and that over there is hardware. I was surprised by her come back. I then asked if they had any more hammer drills that all the inexpensive ones were all gone. She said that the sale ended yesterday and she had a few that costed around $129.00 or something. Obviously I felt like I must have been an inconvenience to her. I then decided that I was done in that crappy store. I will Be glad to shop Home Depot or any other store. Saturday I was in the Prince George area so I needed paint from Lowes Prince George location. I was very very bothered over the number of people in the store - they were not limiting people. It was overflow and people were gathered together whether you wanted to or no. Yes they had X mark the spot at the check out lanes and they had areas like the paint cordoned off BUT the spouses/friends of those ordering paint etc were with their carts outside that immediate area and then they had children/family with them so it was more than 10 people in a group in that small area. More like 20 to 30 waiting just in that small aisle where you wait. Then people who picked up big items were all congregated at the exit inside . Plus hardly anyone had any masks on and no one was wiping down carts. I could not believe it!! I am very proud of Home Depot and they are taking this serious and even Walmart . I have no idea why this place will not fix their electric carts. I complained about a month ago and got a phone call from the manager that the carts had been fixed. Well I'm here to tell you that they haven't been fixed. Why would the manager lie to me. All the money Lowe's has and you people can't spend just a little bit of money so that your disabled customers can get around your store easier? My husband went to Lowes this morning with some pvc parts to try to match up a bushing to them. The cashier did not put it in the bag. So he got home ( we live over 30 miles away) and is now missing the parts that we already owned along with the part he purchased. When he called back they could not locate the parts. Beware of the cashiers there!!! They don't care whether you get all your stuff or not!!! Our parts are probably in the trash can. They want us to come back up there with our receipt and they will see what they can do. Why should we have to buy parts that we already owned and trusted that the cashier they hired would do her job and not short change us????? DO NOT TRUST THE CASHIERS AT THIS LOWES!!!!! SERVICE ADVANTAGE WARRANTY FROM LOWE'S A word of advice when opting for an extended warranty from Lowe's: DON'T. Based on our experience when we bought a Bosch slide in oven/range, paying for an extended warranty offered by Lowe's is a waste of money. First, the service agreement is so long and arcane that it will take someone with little legalese training a week to find that embedded in the fine print warranty is a protocol that repairs must be completed 4 times for the same issue before your appliance can qualify for a "buy out". And while this may seem innocuous, it becomes suffocating when the subcontracted repair takes weeks between each 'repair'. Second, you must locate in the warranty a condition that Service Advantage can subcontract the repair process with a repair company of its choice (and not yours to make). In 2016, our Bosch oven was replaced by the Bosch Company due to a faulty burner. That experience was painless and Bosch was able to get our oven working quickly. However, a year later the new oven stopped working and we now have to use the extended warranty plan offered by Lowe's Service Advantage. It turned out the repair was subcontracted to Virginia Electronics company. In the first week of August 2017, we first reported to Lowe's Service Advantage that our oven was not heating. They forwarded our complaint to Virginia Electronics. We were asked over the phone if the broiler was working and after confirming it was operable, Virginia Electronics concluded we needed a bake burner (note this is the same bake burner that Bosch replaced nearly a year ago) but it will be 3-7 days before they get the parts. After a week, Virginia Electronics sent a technician to work on the oven, but the technician concluded there were other parts needed for repair to occur. The burner we waited a week for was never installed and the technician left without fixing anything. A follow-up with Virginia Electronics indicated the parts identified by the technician were on back order for another 7-10 days. To verify, we called Bosch about the back-ordered parts, but we were informed the parts were always available and that Virginia Electronics had never placed any order to Bosch Company. We informed Lowe's store manager about what was going on. It appears he was not aware what Service Advantage and Virginia Electronics were doing. The only logical conclusion was that Virginia Electronics were ordering parts from other dealerships! Eventually on September 4, a month after the initial service request, the technician replaced the igniter and declared the oven fixed, but without observing if it was truly working. As we tried to use the oven, the smell of gas had filled the house and we also noticed that the igniter created a loud sound as it ignited the burner. As excess leaking gas was our primary concern, regardless of whether the over was heating (it was albeit so much slower than usual), we could not use the oven for safety reasons. We made another complaint to our Lowe's store manager who transmitted our concerns to Service Advantage. A follow-up with Virginia Electronics revealed they have to order the bake burner again because they already returned the bake burner they initially ordered. When asked, they admitted to returning the bake burner because the technician had reported our oven fixed. However, we were still having problems with ignition of the burner and resulting to dissipation of gas all over the house. Now we have to wait another 7-10 business days before the previously ordered bake burner can be installed - a grand total of 6 weeks, ongoing, without a functioning oven. Another follow up (September 14, 2017) with Virginia Electronics indicated they were waiting for parts from Home Depot (again, and not from Lowe's or Bosch). When asked why it was not ordered for overnight delivery, the receptionist indicated they do not routinely use express delivery because Service Advantage does not recommend this type of delivery. We have asked Lowe's to intervene on our behalf, to no avail. We continue to deal with a broken Bosch oven for more than a month now (going to 2 months), with Virginia Electronics, who seems to intuitively diagnose problems, order for parts prior to sending any technicians and pre-emptively close cases before actually resolving anything; and a Bosch oven whose company claims to have products "Invented for Life!" Bosch, Lowe's extended warranty program, and a fly-by-night repair company - all bundled into one great failure and disappointment for life! read more
