    As a contractor, do not. And I mean do not get paint from this store. They have no idea how to mix paint. Got antique White in the bear brand and when I went back to get more they couldn't match the color they kept missing the base too deep and they blamed it on their machine. So not only did it cost us more to get more paint but then we also had to pay more in labor to get our painters to repaint an entire room so by buying Home Depot's paint colors we ended up having to pay so much more money to fix what they refused to fix.

    I purchased a washer on 7-28-25 at the Colonial Heights store. I was told by the salesman that the…read morewasher could be delivered to my house the following Monday 8-4-25 for an additional $169.00 or I can be picked up on Friday 8-1-25 from the store. I chose to pick it up on the 1st because I needed a washer Immediately. The salesman said they would call me when it came in. Friday came and I never heard anything so I called the store at 2pm and spoke to the salesman again and he said the washer would not be here until Monday the 4th. I expressed my dissatisfaction with my service because I had scheduled help to get the washer into the house on Friday and I had no way of getting the washer in the house on Monday. Again, I was told I could pick the washer up on Friday. The salesman said there must be a misunderstanding. I asked to have a discount on the washer because of the inconvenience and the salesman said he gave me the sale price. The salesman then told me he could give me my money back as a resolution to the problem. I then asked to speak to a manager and the salesman said he would be here on Saturday. I called on Saturday and spoke with a manager and explained the situation again. I asked the manager if they could waive the delivery fee since I had no one to help get the washer in the house and he said he would do it for $129.00. I then said if you could bring the price down to $100.00 I would except that. The manager said he could not do that. I told the manager that I have bought appliances from them before and bought numerous appliance parts but obviously my words fell on deaf ears. I then told him to cancel the order and I would call him back on Monday to give him my credit card information to credit my account. I called on Monday and spoke with the salesman again and gave him my information to return my money. He said he would take care of it. I checked my bank account on Thursday and the money still had not been returned. I called the store again and the salesman said my account was credited on Monday and it may take 2 to 3 days for the money to clear. He said if you don't see the money in your account by Friday to give us a call. I finally got a receipt for the transaction on my phone Friday afternoon. I then called my bank to verify the transaction and they told me that the transaction was actually done on Friday and not on Monday like the salesman said. I know the customer is not always right every time but when you are told that your money has been returned and it hasn't, you can pick your washer up on Friday and you can't. Then you are told you must have misunderstood what was said. If they are willing to lie about when your money has been returned to your account would they also lie about when the washer was supposed to come in? Integrity is everything!!!! I have done business with The Appliance Place for years and I have bought a Refrigerator, Dishwasher and numerous appliance parts from them with no problems. My family has also done business with The Appliance Place before but after this experience neither my family or I will give The Appliance Place our business or recommendations any more.

Believe the other bad reviews about their customer service, now under new management Jason Medico, sales Casey Franz. We went over a month of downtime and zero proactive communication from the store. It shouldn't the customer's job to chase down management for updates on a defective product. On March 2nd RVA Repairs, Lakeside's Asko service third party came for ten minutes and said they didn't know the problem and said would order a new main board, UI board, and latch but wasn't 100% sure that would fix it which would also be another two week turn around time to order/ship the parts and fix. Ended up having Asko send a replacement on March 9th with Lakeside Appliance's contractor who they've worked with for "over 30 years" to install it the next week. No service window was provided for when the plumber contractor would come to install new dishwasher. Had to call Appliances on Lakeside to contact them to let me know when the installation time window was. Kevin, the contractor, scratches the front of the dishwasher right off of the van and scratches the doorhandle while installing it. Avoid this store if you value follow-through and reliability.

I feel like we were robbed. My sister was very well loved and received over 50 arrangement, Peace Lilies, bouquets, bleeding hearts, wreaths and such beautiful flowers from other florist. I LOVED how their landscaping is an inspiration heaven. We parked next to the most beautiful snapdragons and succulents and flowers I couldn't identify (but I took a picture and one of the workers immediately identified it and showed me the options they have in all of the gorgeous colors). We were asked by no less than 6 employees if they could help find what we were looking for, if we needed help deciding, if we needed more info on how to tend a plant we were looking at. This is NOT the kind of customer service you get in the garden department at generic chain stores, this is... mega service. It was so helpful because we went in with an idea of what we wanted and - rather than letting us buy something that would die immediately in the location we wanted to put it - a helpful fella gave us the pros and cons of our other options or how we could build up the area we wanted to make the sunlight work for us. Options: wow. They have EVERYTHING. We had choices galore! We want pretty flowers, vegetables, fruit trees, decorative greenery, and they have it all. I am almost overwhelmed with the choices they have. How do you pick the prettiest choice when everything is more gorgeous than the last?!?! The prices are pretty great too. We had been looking at fig trees online and they were the same price - but local and you don't have to worry about it dying in transit! And I KNOW this one thrives in this zone, because it is already alive and well in their beautiful outdoor space. There is so much to see, they even have koi, local honey, stained glass plant picks made by a local artist, wind chimes, plant food... I definitely need a bigger yard to make my yard look more like this green Eden. I'll be back for more plants Monday. And for my Christmas tree in November. And many MANY times in between.
