As a homeowner, my husband and I have shopped in both Lowe's and Home Depot for over 20 years. We have spent an extraordinary amount of money in both of these stores. We rarely need to make returns, but we just had a recent instance of having to return 5 bags of polymeric sand because we decided to have the job done by a contractor. I saved the receipt and my husband went to the store to return the sand. It was a VERY UNPLEASANT experience to learn that there is a 90 day window on returns (with receipt) and NO EXCEPTIONS ARE GRANTED FOR A RESELLABLE ITEM such as polymeric sand! Needless to say, we have made our LAST purchase at Lowes and I will be sharing this VERY NEGATIVE experience EVERYWHERE I can. read more

This location hires the laziest, most inept people. The online store also gives inaccurate information. Tried to purchase a patio furniture set. Waited for 20 minutes after someone was paged to get assistance and never received any assistance. We only finally attracted some attention when we started loading the floor model on a flat bed cart. This "associate" offered zero assistance even after being told we had waited far too long. Ordered the same product online the next day. Website said it would be ready within 3 hours. Went to the store 3.5 hours after purchase and was told the product wasn't ready and online orders are typically ready by the following day. That is not what the information said online. No one at this store is actually interested in doing their job. If possible, go to Home Depot or a different Lowe's location. read more

Looking at some markdown refrigerators, and whatever else was sitting there. My sister-in-law was interested in the fridge. There were two desks with three people sitting there. They clearly seen us looking. Then we were looking around for some help. None of those three clowns got up to help. I walked over to the desk and asked Jason to supervisor. Can I ask you a question? I don't know why he's a supervisor he should've got up before we even walked over there to get his attention. All three of them are lazy so then he walked us over to the register so we can pay for the refrigerator he didn't even deserve that sales. What a rude dude.! The lady at the register was very nice and sweet. That should've been her sales while we were at the register. There was another couple over there the washing machine and nobody helped them either. I didn't seen another refrigerator. We wanted and the lady from the register helped us. Of course she had to call that clown back over and he said no I think this one is already been sold. I've gone into the store twice and it seems low on help from employees. I want to purchase cabinets. The first time, there was nobody in the department. Today, there was a woman sitting at a desk and when approached she rudely said "what do you want?" I asked if she was busy as she appeared to be eating something. She again rudely responded "what do you need??" Like I was inconveniencing her. That's not the way to greet a customer. She clearly had an attitude or was having a bad day. Awful. Just awful. There is a lack of customer service at this location that is so disappointing. We ordered a door almost a month ago that we were told would be ready for pickup on a certain date but weeks passed and we were not contacted. I called the store to check on status and spent a half hour being bounced around to the "wrong people". Finally, I called back and asked for a supervisor. I gave her my order number and politely requested the status of my order. She told me she had no idea when it would be in. I asked her if she could find out. She replied stating that since it's coming from a manufacturer she can't tell. I asked if she could give me an idea if it would be days, weeks, or months and she replied again with, "I have no idea". Went to Lows and spent four hundred Dollars one week ago. Had about 300 Lbs of wood. Asked for assistance as I am Handicapped. They said will be right there, (almost no one in store but plenty of employees talking to each other. Waited 20 minutes went back into lady and she talked to front Desk, they said someone would help. Waited 15 more minutes for help. No one came or even called back. Got help from someone else and myself, NO help from the employees... Called and asked to talk to management, no one around, explained situation, this employee at front desk had an "TUDE", and asked her if a manager could call me back. Gave number, still waiting... (I had no plans to post even though service was so bad, but today, just was even worse) This was my big mistake!!! Went there today, to get more wood, asked where is Pressure Treated Wood to a person who was doing nothing, he said over there, and he pointed to 30,000 Board Feet of lumber and said he guessed it was over in the next Section. So, bottom line, no RollArounds at the door we used, no help for directions and no help with purchase... Suggestions: Go four miles up the road to Home Depot, they seem to appreciate customers more that this team does. I am really tired of spending large amounts of hard earned cash and the best you can expect is NO RESPECT from the companies you deal with... (and that is if you are lucky)... Came looking for an in stock washer. I give 5 stars for Diane in appliances who was a rock star and spent time finding us a washer that was available. I give the store 1 star. There needs to be a better system. If the website says in stock it should be in stock. In my opinion lowes is much better than Home Depot. If you need an appliance ask for Diane. Ordered beautiful Larsen doors (Russ) took care of us. Couple issues with color and size, but we were given another choice which ended up so much prettier. After a couple of weeks of waiting, our doors arrived and we dealt with one of the nicest and respectful door installers who answered our questions quickly and efficiently. Daysi Bettran and her husband Dan put our doors up beautifully and went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied. Excellent customer care and service. This is a warning: Do Not order anything from this store! You will have a charge on your American Express, a promised delivery date (that doesn't happen and changes from week to week) and an inability to cancel your order either by email or phone to customer service. Ordered my grill on May 28th. Have had a total of three delivery dates scheduled with a promise of a phone call 30" before delivery. Receive a phone message with the details, the delivery window, bu Lowe's never shows up. Called customer service and evidently an order can't be cancelled if a delivery ticket has been issued. I literally went in this store for 5 things. One of the things was 200sqf. Of flooring. It was special order so we did it. But when we get to register they couldn't ring it up. We tied the line up for 15 minutes. I'm calling out we need a manager. The register lady couldn't do it. Guy that rang me up in flooring dept. just happened to walk by. I grabbed him and told him situation. He went back and Redid the order. Comes back and it still won't work. Some idiot that is not the manager says go back and try it again! How bout get a MANAGER!!!! So we walked out. About $2,000 Lowe's lost today. On top of not having the other 3 items. We went to get a $600 base cabinet ordered. For an hour the lady in that dept. was helping someone. So I asked why is this desk empty? I need to order a cabinet. She said I'm the only one in this dept. always. I was in shock when some man told my daughter that she had to put her mask back up before he could help us and she has very bad asthma and was not able to breath so she had to take it down for 5 seconds not even and he just said he will not help us and I was very disappointed in Lowe's services and I expect more but other than that keep up the good work. I'm giving this Lowes a 3 based on a 5-Star experience with Steve in appliances and a 1-Star experience with Paul in appliances. Steve was awesome - he gave me all correct information and made buying a washer and dryer a breeze. Steve was the best. Paul was not so good. He told me that an appliance was on sale just until midnight of the evening I stopped in the store. Something in my gut told me that he was not being straight with me. I went on Lowes.com and the item was on sale another 2 weeks. I cannot believe all the time that I have wasted on the phone and waiting for my dryer. It has been since March 11th. We are in the midst of a pandemic and I was promised delivery a week ago. Spoke to 3 different people and was told it was being delivered today. Well it was of course damaged!!!! So sorry that I chose this store to purchase my quartz kitchen countertops. Paid roughly $10,000 and haven't heard a word from my 'kitchen specialist' since signing the check. They sub everything out and accept no responsibility for any problems that might arise (which did arise in my case). I even asked my kitchen specialist to alert her manager to my problem and she said she copied them on our e-mails. She must have blind copied them because their e-mail addresses don't appear anywhere on the e-mails. This is on purpose, for sure as they don't want to hear any complaints. You'd think I'd get a call to see how the installation was progressing but I've heard nothing. I honestly don't know how they stay in business, Don't make the same mistake. Maybe buy your light bulbs and cleaning supplies there but for countertops, I hear LaTerra in CMCH does excellent work and has excllent Customer Service. read more

Prices of course are higher than other locations but you are at the shore. Employees are usually pleasant and helpful. I have a summer home in Wildwood Crest, NJ. Last summer we gutted the entire bathroom and built a brand new one with all new fixtures from Lowes in Rio Grande, from the ceiling to the tiles on the floor. Everything was done and perfect except the shower door. I bought a Kohler Shower door from Lowes. They could not provide installation, so I hired a reputable contractor to install it. Not one month after, the shower doors would not open and close properly. The contractor came back to repair it and again, it did not work. I then went back to Lowes to see what the problem was. What I found out was shocking. The door that I saw on display, with the hardware, was not what Lowes delivered to me. The clips they sent with my door were different from what they have at the store. The door is very heavy and what they gave me kept bending as they could not carry the weight of the door. When I asked why they had this door on display, they had no answer, except to point out a sign further down the aisle that said basically that what you may purchase may not necessarily be what you receive. That is so disturbing to me. So, you get what you get and not what you see? Something is wrong with this picture. Lowes refused to come out and fix this problem, unless I purchase a brand new door. How ridiculous does that sound? Not only do they sell defective products, they also do not stand behind their merchandise. Once the sale is made, they don't care what happens, nor will they make good on it. Beware if you buy from Lowes. read more

Just simply not enough help in any department. Took 15 minutes to find someone to handle an appliance order. Once we got them very helpful, but seriously it should not take that long to get help. Then I had to call back to change something on the order the next day. So far I have called three different times - each time the phone rang in excess of 5-6 minutes - no one ever picked up. So I guess I will have to now drive over there spend another 15 minutes trying to track someone down to change a delivery date. read more

Regarding the EHT store. The worst customer service I've ever experienced. A few months ago we had issues with them delivering appliances and every single time I call it's almost impossible to get a hold of an actual person it just keeps ringing and ringing. I asked for a manager after calling back repeatedly because I kept getting putting on hold, never was able to reach one. A few months later I have an issue with the new refrigerator I bought and the same problem again. I've called back 13 times and I finally got a hold of someone and the girl was so rude and impolite. Delivery is contracted by 3rd party xpo delivery was 3 hours late, rude, and after dragging up a step and scratching the railing and steps .. the men took the refrigerator back to the truck and left saying they can't continue as they caused damage. The house is new with a large door and floor plan but since th y bumped into railing we were left with a damaged rail and no refrigerator.
