I am 72 years old and moved from Colorado to NC. I have an adjustable base with a Tempur-Pedic mattress...was pretty pricy. The movers that unloaded had no idea how to put the bed back together as the movers in Colorado took it apart. I was so afraid the Colorado movers had broken it and, if so, I need to file a claim. I called the Sanford store and spoke to Brady. I explained my situation and he told me there was nothing he could do to help me. No technician to come out to see if the base was broken or not, no help whatsoever...no suggestions either. It amazes me they have techs that deliver everyday putting beds together, but does not have a tech that can come to an old ladies house to see if the bed is indeed damaged. I expected to pay a service fee, but that was not even offered...only "nope cannot do it". I reached out to my Colorado store and they went above and beyond to find a solution. Shame on you Mattress Firm in Sanford. Your customer service is awful and based on that I would discourage anyone from doing business with you.

At that moment I asked for the next comparable in order to have the items delivered before I left town. Fast forward to this week, and I've prepared for my delivery. After waiting all day, I called the store after realizing that I never received my call 24 hours in advance. Kenny proceeds to tell me, because of COVID, my order couldn't be delivered until Friday. I was also told by Kenny that I was supposed to be called yesterday. I never heard  from anyone. I told Kenny that this was unacceptable and that I wanted a refund. He said sure, but now I have to wait for confirmation of my cancellation and who knows how long for the return of my $2,406.41 to return to my account. When I tried to call corporate, I'm directed to email with a response time of 48 hours, because of COVID. Why stay open or rush to open when your supply chain sucks and your customer service is subpar?

Over charged on delivery, (I…read morelive on St Andrews Church Rd) and delivery guy would not bring it in said my door wasn't wide enough., it's a standard door, and then charges me a 20% restocking fee. When I said something about the delivery fee she ripped the paper off the wall and I said she never told me about a restocking fee and she said it's their policy and I said it's not posted anywhere. Phil wanted me to let warranty handle it. But when I called them it fell before 30 days and they wouldn't. Well after going back and forth Phil sent me this: Good afternoon Gwen. Patrick said after installing a wash dry combo in another residence yesterday and testing, there was def a huge difference from yours and their unit. My offer, if you do not want to utilize your warranty, is to either swap you for an identical unit or reimburse you for the unit. I will need you to get the unit into the store for reimbursement. I feel this is way above and beyond fair, as this is most definitely a warranty issue at this point. Which I felt was fair, not to mention I had no way to get the unit back up there. Well delivered today a smaller hole different unit. When one saids identical unit that's what I expect. (not to mention I said I wanted washer and dryer, 2 pcs which was about $400 cheaper and he could keep the differeFamily of 5 can't go smaller. So no, I'm not happy or pleased. But some of it's my fault, should've never listen to opinion on an all in one unit. Guess I will try to resale and go elsewhere. Never again!!!!

    Not being from North Carolina, I have never heard of Badock before. It basically operates as a…read morediscount furniture store for middle tier furniture (think Haverty's or Bassett). I was looking for a new TV stand and wanted something solid wood and of decent quality. I set my budget at $1,000 The Good - I was pleasantly surprised by their selection. While I was only looking for a TV stand, my wife and I walked around the store and saw several pieces of furniture we would have considered if we had not had such items. - The TV stand which I ended up buying was priced far lower than other stores. I ended up buying it for $400, when the same item was on sale at a store in Raleigh and was still priced at $1000. -Delivery occurred on-time. The Bad - Being a discount furniture store, I did expect to have to pay a fee for delivery, but they charged $60. Our house is only about 3 miles from the store, so I felt the delivery free was a bit egregious. Also, apparently the $60 covers only one item, the delivery fees increase for each additional item. The Ugly - The customer service was quite poor. When we went to the store, there two staff members were sitting in recliners and watching TV. After finding the item I wanted, I had to go to them and ask to purchase the item, and the salesperson lingered for a minute until a commercial came on. -The salesperson provided me with little information regarding delivery, and I felt I had to interrogate her to find out when it would be delivered. -The delivery people were supposed to call on Tuesday/Wednesday to schedule our delivery for Friday. On Thursday, I hadn't heard anything so I called the store, but the person answering the phone was no help. He said he would check for me why the delivery people hadn't called and would call me back, but he never did. Overall - Not only did I come under budget, I bought a product that was nicer than I had anticipated. However, the customer service was truly awful. While I do not want to go back, my wife and I want to buy new end tables, and we will likely check out Badcock. This Badock seems to be that store you hate going to, but you always end up checking out just because of the deals you can get.

When I called to inquire as to why it was like this, I was told that the table came "as is" on the floor..... Um the table had 6 chairs and no damage! I have been given the run around for three weeks concerning a refund or exchange and the other two chairs.
