We have bought several appliances, paint, tools, and flooring. I cannot say enough about the customer service. They installed a Microwave wave and called back 2 times to see if all was ok. Infact they always call back and ask how things went. They are always friendly and helpful when I come to the store. 10 is what I would rate this store I just feel bad because after going in the store all these years I am just getting around to rating the store off of Wabash in Springfield.IL Great JOB! We recently bought a Samsung stove and it had a scratch on it. They dropped it off installed it and when my wife came home she immediately saw the scratch on the stove. It was small and up on the metal where the controls were. She called them right up and they came to pick it up. They saw the scratch and instead of reinstalling our old stove... they said, "use this stove for 30 days. When yours comes in, we will switch it out." Ordered $1500 worth of fencing material online and opted for delivery. Order placed November 1st. Chose Saturday Nov 12 8:00-12:00 for delivery. I received a text notification Friday the 11th that my order was on its way. Today, Saturday Nov 12 at 2:00PM (2 hours after the delivery window) I get a call from someone at the store telling me that my order hasn't even been pulled because online sales and the store doesn't work well together. Whatever that means. So I wasted two weeks waiting on an order they didn't plan to fulfill. DON'T YOU BELIEVE THEM... My wife and I recently bought carpet for our three bedrooms at Lowe's before the holidays, and we were ASSURED that my veteran discount would apply. However, after I took a look at the invoice which had several discrepancies, but there was also numerous errors on the receipt...fuzzy accounting. Not only did we not get the 10% veterans discount, we were overcharged 100 sqft of carpet which wasn't used. And even after I told them that the estimated sqft-age was wrong and no one bothered to correct it. So, I'm stick with 100 sqft of carpet I can't use... Everyone was in a BIG hurry to get the SALE, but no one bothered to make sure it was correct. And when I brought these discrepancies up to the sales staff, I was assured everything was going to be worked out. But now that the SALE is finalized, it none of their concern and the only thing the sales rep says, is "I'm Sorry", like my wife and I didn't hear her correctly. NO, WE WERE LIED TO!!! In fact, everyone we dealt in the Flooring Department lied to us. I asked ever time we were in Lowe's trying to select the right carpet. I have a GOOD-MIND to take them to court. They misrepresented themselves, lies numerous times to get the SALE. I don't know if they know this but oral contracts are binding in the State of Illinois. My family and I traveled to Lowe's in Springfield, Illinois to look at and purchase a new gas stove. We found the one we liked. At time of payment, we specifically asked if it could be delivered, the old one removed and the new one installed. We wanted a turn key experience. We were assured everything could be done. We paid a $20 hook up fee for a gas appliance. A carry away and recycle fee of $50. A gas range installation kit of $39.98 which included a new gas line. there was also a $29 delivery fee. When the driver arrived, he felt he could not remove the old stove because the line was, in his opinion, too short. Then he said he could not bring the new stove in the house as we looked for a local plumber. It basically sounded like he intended to drop off a stove in the driveway and that was all he was going to do. Do not fall for the removal and installation of a gas stove from this Lowe's location. We asked for a complete refund and are purchasing at a local appliance store, as we now feel we should have done in the first place. read more

Bought a new refrigerator from Lowes on 11/27/2024, and still haven't received it. The first one that was delivered was damaged. The second appointment for delivery was a no show with no phone call. The third delivery appointment was for today, and another no show. The store manager, Brad, apparently doesn't want to talk to us because we're told he's either busy or not at the store. I'm so sorry we bought from Lowes. There are plenty of other appliance stores we could have selected. Of course Lowes charged our credit card back in November even though we don't have the product. We couldn't cook a Thanksgiving dinner, and the way things are going we won't be preparing a Christmas dinner either. read more

I've never had a worse experience in getting appliances. We were told they'd be delivered AND installed, but apparently the installation wasn't part of it. Which turned out to be unnecessary anyways because the appliances were damaged bef they got off the truck. Not to mention the store couldn't figure out how to process a check written from a bank so just getting everything paid for was literally an all day event. Oh, and forget about countertops. They have no idea what's in stock, where it is, or when more might be coming, even though they show multiple options in stock that simply don't exist. We purchased a 4 piece patio set from this Lowe's around 8 days ago! It was to be fully assembled and delivered April 11, between 9am and 1pm! Thursday, April 11, we waited & waited and finally, around 3:30, the Lowe's truck arrived with our patio set UNASSEMBLED and still in a box! The delivery people refused to assemble our furniture, saying that assembly was not their responsibility - and that another department was responsible for assembling all products! They put the box containing the patio set back on the truck and drove away! We then called Lowe's to find out why our patio was not assembled - as promised! They had no explanation why this happened but informed us that we would have to go to the back of the line if we still wanted it assembled and re-delivered! They told us that assembly of our patio set would require 3 days which meant that having it assembled and delivered would take 5-6 more days - even though none of this was our falt! I cannot believe, nor can I understand, how a company like Lowe's could mess up so badly and then not even offer to expedite the assembly and delivery of our purchase! I give them no stars bc there the worst at ordering. I had purchased a Graco magnum x19 there on 2-27-2024 which wasn't in stock. So they were going to order it for me and they would call me when it arrived. Called a week later to see if my order was there. It wasn't ordered and they didn't even have my name on file or the invoice. I was on the phone for half an hour the first time calling them. Then a week later 1hr 45mins. And then called back again to get the same person to tell me her manager was in a meeting at 9pm. Really a meeting at 9pm. Going to have to wait for them to look at the footage to see if I walked out of the store with it. Which I had not ! What they'll see is the lady takung my card charging it and taking my name and number and they would call me back on the order.I did asked if I get a tracking number. Nope you don't get one sounds fishy to me. I didn't know that's how Lowe's runs there bussiness. There are still some good employees there. Just wouldn't trust them to order anything for you!! i would advise anyone buying a sliding door from Lowes that needs to use their installers to NOT do it. We bought a slider in September and have had problems ever since. The screen had a big scratch and he told us to buy paint and paint it ourselves. On 3/7/17 I stopped in and spoke to the flooring dept about an install . I choose the Stain Master that was running a deal as long as you purchased the padding with it. I choose a high end carpet ( we have 8 dogs ) and a premium padding to go under. The salesmen assured me someone would respond either later that day or the 8th... I waited until the 10th (3 days) to call them back as to why I hadn't gotten a response. I was told that they have 48 hrs to respond and that I would definitely be getting a call on the 11th. I called back on the 13th and asked to talk to a manager ... Rodger assured after taking my number he would walk over and get to "THE BOTTOM " of it and call me right back..... Today it's 3/16/17 and I talked to Joe another Manager who said I am among THREE calls today That he has taken over the exact same issue. He himself is been waiting for two weeks. So if a store manager can't even get a call back to get a bid with measurements then I guess I have Have no chance getting any response from the flooring dept. I have since ripped it up and pried the strips off myself. This is what happened today on Jan 17th, 2022 on Martin Luther King Day. In lowe's at 3101 Wabash Ave, Springfield, IL 62704. I was buying two fire pits. It was so heavy and I am sitting on it, waiting for my dad walk to me to help move to the cart. One lady came with one lowe's worker said: "I want one of this!" I said: "Oh sorry, I am taking both. I am just waiting for my dad to help me load it." She said: "Did you pay for it?" I said："Not yet I am waiting for help load, so that I can pay for it." She said : "Then I am going to take one from you." I said: "Alright I will give you one." Then she took one said: "This is how it works here. You haven't pay for it ! I can take from you. My daughter works here." (The worker who helped her took one from my hand, it's her daughter) I said: "Hold on, it's not suppose to be like that. I was being nice and let you have one." Lady said: "GO BACK TO YOUR COUNTRY!" I told her: "Say that again, I am going to record you for being racist. You need to apologize to me!" The whole time, Lowe's staff named "David" is trying to protect the lady who is being racist. He told me that only if I deleted the video, he will help me resolve this issue. Never use Lowes for installation. We contacted them in February for a fence. We've had to make all the contacts to find out what is happening. Our time frame for the work was mid-April to the end of July. The beginning of July came and we'd had zero interactions with Lowes. We called and found out the contractor is MIA and they said they'd assign a new one. The new one texted me and delivered materials that have been blocking half our driveway for three weeks while he makes excuses about why he can't come do the job like "our tractor broke Monday when we were going to come" and it's Friday and the contractor did not bother to call. The delivery was incomplete. We have no fence and Lowes is telling us they don't even know if they can approve a refund and we'll be charged a 20% restocking fee. We have had to babysit this nightmare for months now. So if you like headaches, excuses, and liars, use Lowes to get no fence. read more

I gave it two stars instead of one because lowe's does have decent products if you can find them yourself. The customer service is nonexistent. You have to chase down a salesperson & practically have to bully them into helping you. Most of the time they'll mutter an aisle number and walk away, & most of the time it's the wrong aisle. Everyone in Springfield has known this for decades. You can always get a laugh in any crowd if you mention the customer service at Lowe's. I purchased a zero turn lawn mower on May 8th for delivery. I was then emailed on May 16th that the mower would be delivered on May 19th between 8am-8pm. I was then called at 8:15pm on May 18th and that my mower had not been assembled yet and that if I wanted it on the 19th it wouldn't come assembled. I said that was unacceptable. I asked when I could receive the mower assembled and was told that he wasn't sure exactly what day the assembly team would be in. They may work Wednesday or Friday and then could reschedule a day for delivery. I asked why I was being told this sooner. He said that he doesn't do phone calls for the next day deliveries until the night before. I don't understand why this couldn't not have been discovered sooner. The mower had been sitting at the store for 4 days. I also don't understand why you would call a customer without answers about their product for obvious questions they will have. I should have shopped local for a mower instead of shopping conveniently online. read more
