Once again Lowe's is a let down in Waxahachie. They have their entire clearance isle in the back all marked with yellow tags, I find an Ego double battery pack for $56 so I try to purchase it. The cashier called manager because it wouldn't scan correctly. The manager takes a look at it, scans it once, and says "yeah we can't sell this," to the cashier and walks away. No eye contact, not a word to me about any, or sorry for the issues. Always a pain to shop here for some reason. I've never had a bad experience here. Staff is usually friendly, tho finding help on the aisles can sometimes be a challenge. Iv'e had several employees walk by me before and never say a word. The lawn care area is fairly large compared to some other locations. We stopped in for some discount pots that we heard that they had, tho on this trip they weren't in existence at this location. We were there around 2100 hours and it was really quiet. All the Christmas stuff was being put up next to the already existing halloween items. Place is always clean and bright. read more

when I went in, I was greeted by a very nice gentleman who answered my questions and told me where to find what I was looking for. that is the only reason for 2 stars. I went back to the paneling area. there was a button to push if you need help. Apparently it doesn't work because no one came. I went to the pro desk and they called for help. No one came. I went back to the pro desk and they called again. Still no one came. I spent 30 minutes waiting around for help that never came. I left and went to Home Depot. I like what Lowe's has better, but may drive further to another Lowe's and see if the service is better. As an after note, as I was leaving I stopped at the Pro Desk to tell them to cancel the call, I was going to Home Depot, the man at the counter just said okay. No I'm sorry or anything else. I bought a garage door opener at Lowe's. Never could find the time to install it myself, so I decided to pay them the $139 for the install. After discussing the job with thirteen (13) Lowe's or Lowe's Service Provider employees, I never did get my garage door opener installed. The reason given was: because I live in a historic district, they cannot work at my residence. ‍. They refunded the $139 for the service but would not refund or give a store credit for the garage door opener because I lost my receipt. Well, here is something else I lost.......my desire to ever go there again! In the time I wasted dealing with them on the phone, the two trips I made to the store and the insult I received when the manager on duty gave me the phone number/name while recommending I call Marvin Ellison (CEO or Lowe's ), I could have installed it myself. Was in Lowe's today to purchase a shed. Was previously told that I needed to call a person that works outside of the store to help facilitate. When I called him, he referred me another individual because he said his department, outdoor products, didn't do sheds anymore and they were handled in virtual store. When I called virtual services, I was told if I wanted a DIY shed, I needed to go back to store and order at service desk or online. The online price was an additional $200 over the posted price on the shed and the brochures in the shed so I opted to go to store. After talking with a customer service lady at counter who couldn't figure out what was going on she called a asst manager who told me "sorry sir, price must have gone up and there is nothing I can do"! She had to be the rudest human I have ever come in contact. If the price has gone up, shouldn't we update the giant signage on the storage units? Just a constant letdown! Our most recent purchase a $1400 dishwasher. Waited three weeks for it supposed to be a week, then it was two weeks and they're on the third week they said they couldn't find it! This was after three weeks of us washing our own dishes instead of using a dishwasher. We got our money back and went across the street to Home Depot! The management there simply don't know what they're talking about. We saw several large Halloween decorations one was a 12 foot skeleton. We asked to buy one they didn't have one in stock no other one could be found within miles and no inventory of that SKU was supposed to come in. We were told we couldn't buy the display and we were dismissed. Came back in to ask about the dishwasher and question only to find out that on the day we went to buy the 12 foot skeleton display it's been sold three days later add to that turns out on the day we were there and there was one in the box and it was sold to someone. It's crazy how in 2 different states on different ends of the country I have had just ridiculously bad experiences with lowes lmao. If the wife didn't send me here I'd never go personally. Went to pick up an online order. Sat waiting for 15 minutes before anyone came out and then was told to go to a completely different part of the parking lot where "someone will get you loaded up" sat in that area for over half an hour and never saw an employee walk out of the building much less come to help me. Finally had someone show up just to tell me they didn't have what we ordered in stock. Told to go to the cashier in the garden center to get a refund. Wait 10 minutes for 2 people to check out with less than 5 combined items just to be told by the crypt keeper running the register that I needed to go to customer service, went to customer service and finally got a refund. The kicker? When I spoke to the manager he told me they did have what I ordered in stock so the moron that told me they "don't sell that anymore" was either lying or just incompetent, I'm inclined to believe the latter. Wasted a hour and a half because of these goofballs. I understand these folks are not paid the best but have some pride and sense of urgency seeing as if everyone is pissed off and refused to shop at your store you would be out of a job. After living near this store for three years I can honestly say I'll just drive across the street and go to Home Depot from now on. There are a few nice associates here, but only the few that don't disappear and hide when they see someone needing help. Stopped in last week to get some plywood cut and was told there was nobody available who was qualified to use it. Stopped in today and now they' say the saw is broken. The floors are always cluttered and nothing is putt away. They constantly go downhill and just when I think they couldn't get any worse - they surprise me by hitting an all new low. Great staff and good service however, buying an appliance from Lowe's has been a very bad experience. Purchased an LG refrigerator and it has been 5 weeks and it has NOT been delivered as of yet, a myriad of setbacks to deliver the refrigerator and no help from the store just passing the buck or "it's out of our hands". I gave them several chances to make it right. We dropped by Best Buy (Mansfield) and a refrigerator will be here in 3 days just like that. Great people work here at Lowe's and they have helped me with multiple projects but appliance purchases where several thousands of dollars are involved I will never buy from Lowe's again as I cannot trust them to get the job done. read more

Waxahachie location. Customer service seems to be the last thing that is served up at this Lowe's. Owning my own business, the customer is always right. My wife (a teacher) needed a can of Lysol for her classroom. Myself, I needed a can for my office. On the shelf were 4 cans. We initially grabbed all 4 cans to have 2 for at home as well. But we saw a sign that read, "1 can per customer". So we put 2 back. She would buy one and I would buy one. We went to self checkout, I at one and my wife at another. My wife was stopped and asked if she was with me. She said yes and then was told she can not buy the Lysol. He walked my wife over to me and told us only one can per customer. He viewed us a one customer being husband and wife. I told him she is a teacher, she is buying it for her classroom and I was purchasing mine with my business account. Two totally separate customers. He said no. I asked for the manager. A female manager walked over ready to fight. She had in her hand the exact same sign we already saw in the aisle we grabbed the Lysol. I told her I already read it. She first said we couldn't buy two can. I showed her my business card I was purchasing my can with and my wife was getting one for her classroom. She said, "you are each a customer. Both of you can get one can". The other guy was shaking his head. Yes we got our Lysol cans but the treatment we endured in front of other customers was embarrassing. I have not shopped at Home Depot in many years because I prefer Lowe's. I purchased a riding mower on 5/29/24, with a Lowe's warranty. I used it for one hour and noticed that it needed repair. I did not damage or break it. I was informed that it could not be returned for refund or exchange because I used it. I sent it in for repair after owning it for 2 days. After 3 weeks, I called to check on it and was informed that it had been delivered to the store as opposed to my home address. It had been there for 2 days and would be delivered to me in three days. No one called to inform me. On delivery day, the driver arrives at my home to pick up the mower that should be delivered. When I call the Waxahachie store, I am informed that it will be 2 more days before they can schedule delivery. As of 6/29/24, it has been a month since I made the initial purchase, and the mower was in my possession for a couple of days. I still don't have the mower. Yet, I am not allowed to return or refund it. I will never make a major purchase at any Lowe's ever again. I am considering not shopping with Lowe's at all. read more

The staff are great! However, the contractor's they use are awful! They give you a 4 hour window and never show up till hours after that window. Robert Carter (manager) will lie to you and say Lowe's doesn't have cameras. He also keeps faulty poles in the parking lot. These poles are not secure (which he knows) sadly, they won't fail them up with sand like they should. If your property is damaged he lies and says they will take care of it but then will fail to do so. When you reach out he will say "uh uh uh contact corporate" and give you an automated number. Sam in paint while altho semi-helpful. Very rude and disrespectful. I was upset I had called and been hung up on 3 times before someone had answered and so obviously I'm highly ticked off. Well she had a huge attitude the whole time saying I'm in paint nobody answered so I took the call, then had the audacity to say well you were being rude. Like okay you are in paint I am wanting to speak to manager about an appliance delivery. I apologized for saying if I sounded rude but I was highly irritated at the whole situation. She was just unprofessional in my opinion and I will never EVER GO BACK to this Lowes. This all started because I bought a new stove and fridge supposed to be delivered on the same day found out day of delivery that my stove would not be coming until after thanksgiving and that's not going to work since we are cooking dinner. So they went through the process to get another one and that got delivered when it said it would but they never brought a chord that I had previously purchased so I could actually plug in my stove. Now I have to wait until Tuesday to have a stove. This place is a JOKE. Go to Home Depot. They are more helpful. read more

They were awesome. We were having trouble finding a few obscure items and a retired vet, Bernard, was extremely helpful and friendly. Then he, and another gentleman (I'm sorry, I didn't catch your name), tried to help us with another item made by Craftsman, but unavailable. He and Bernard both worked very hard to try to help us find it. We were both very impressed by their knowledge of the store, the items we were looking for, and their friendliness. If I could give a minus star rating, I would. I ordered all new kitchen appliances in January 2020from this Lowes. In February, we were told they could not provide the cooktop we ordered but would proceed with the other appliances. Long story short, it is now the end of April, we still don't have have the microwave. They have delivered 3 for installation that they were unable to install. First one was the wrong size, (after they sent someone to measure), the second one was the wrong color, the third one has a defective hinge. Here we are 3 months later and we have to wait for the fourth microwave to be ordered, arrive and be installed. Throughout this nightmare the appliance employees have been incompetent and the customer service employees have been down right rude. No one cares about the fact that their errors have disrupted my home for over 3 months now. No one is even nice about it. Every time we have had to go back to reorder it has taken in excess of 2 hours for the employees to figure out how to correct their errors. They made us pay for the new microwave after we had already paid for the wrong one, so we are out the money for 2 microwaves and 2 trim kits and they cannot even figure out how to credit us because we paid with a Lowes credit card that has since been paid off. I want cash out of the drawer, they want to credit a card that has a zero balance. I will never use that card again or make a purchase at this store so what good will a $447.00 credit do for me. I left the store again today WITHOUT the microwave and without my credit. NEVER buy appliances at Lowes. There are so many great choices out there. Did I mention there has not been a manager in store to assist any one the 3 visits after the initial purchase? Went to lowes to purchase a part for my in line water filter(which had to modified to work). Art in plumbing assisted me with my modification and explained what I needed. This is the worst Lowe's I have ever been to! I ordered a Kichen Aide cooktop. It did not come in by the expected date. No one ever contacted me. I called the store 3 times and was promised a call back each time and still no call back. Finally called and demanded a manager and found out they were not sure when it would come in that they would need to call me back on Monday. I understand items not coming in but the non communication or commitment to customer service really shows. The staff in the store are less than cheerful or energetic. My wife and I went in one evening to buy some tile, and the woman in the department was busy with another customer, so she asked a coworker who was passing by to help us, and the man began cursing up a storm, yelling at her and telling her he was on break. We frankly were frightened to even deal with this lunatic, and we left without purchasing anything. I tried to contact the corporate folks to let them know what happened, but my message was ignored. Apparently business is good there, and they don't particularly care if customers are cursed at by employees. Don't give your money to people who will treat you this way. I've begun giving all my business to Home Depot across the street. Frankly, their customer service isn't great, but at least they don't curse at me. read more
