I would have been a 4 overall because the helpful service in electrical and the selection being more vast and organized than other stores. Things seemed to be in the correct place and only a few damaged broads were a downfall. But one thing I did not like was that an employee came to the front to assist with checkout and mentioned openly in front of customers that the "training process in her opinion was going downhill in comparison to other places". I was at Lowe's taking back a weed trimmer leaf blower combo kit to exchange for one with all the parts. at the return area, they paged someone to help me in the leaf blower isle. after waiting 20 minutes, I walk to the next isle and see a tall ladder that goes to the tallest shelves. I was gonna use it and move it to a different isle because the box I needed was in the top shelf. I decide to wait. finally I see an employee who was busy and had walked past me. I called her over to see if i could use that ladder.she said no, you can't use that ladder with such attitude. She was so angry with me for asking her to do something for me. I just stepped backwards and said to her what can I do to make it easier for you, and I apologized for interrupting her. she climbed the ladder and got what I needed but had to take it to the cashie. She did say that because so many people ask them to find something for them they never have time to do their job. I quit talking to her and let her do her job. I even apologized to her for disturbing her. when I got back home I realized I needed something else. I decided to go to home depot because I was afraid I'd run into that lady again. I hate confrontation. so if you see a female worker using knee pads, gray hair in a ponytail and maybe in her 50s. stay away from her. read more

I have had a Lowes account for over 20 years. This week I rec'd a letter advising they will raise the interest rates to 31%. I have faithfully paid my monthly bill, not been late, and have always enjoyed shopping at Lowes. Today I called the Lowes customer service number. After asking them to reward faithful customers, and raise the % on slackers, they advised everyone was being raised across the board. I closed my Lowes account today, and I encourage everyone else to do so. read more

I walked into Lowe's Home Improvement, and by the time I found someone to help me, I was already frustrated. I was looking to replace paint, that I screwed up and let dry out, in order to help finish a deeply personal project. It took several minutes to find a human being, and when I did, he looked at me like I had two heads, and was speaking Klingon.....no eye contact.. chewing gum.... The employee not me....I felt like this kid couldn't have cared less about what I needed. I was looking for paint to help finish a very special piece of furniture, in Superman Colors...I didn't need a gallon...even a pint was too much, but I would buy the pints if needed. The following is my encounter with the elusive Lowe's employee... who by the way, could challenge Big Foot, for the hide and seek grand championship... You can't make this stuff up+++++++ Me: I'm looking for a mixable paint, with a chalk finish, brand doesn't matter, and you are out of the smaller sizes on the shelf.. Would you have any of it in the back? Employee: Again by the look on his face...I have two heads and am speaking Klingon... It takes him a full two minutes to respond.. and I hear crickets, and smell toast... smell and crickets coming from him.. not me.. a full two minutes I will never get back. He responds we sell two brands, Krylon and Valspar.. Not true, there are other brands on the shelf, Joanna Gaines and at least one other have a mixable chalk paint. I thought common sense would tell him that I already looked through everything they offered in that finish.. Me: I wasn't asking for a specific brand, I was asking for a certain finish. Employee: again another two minutes of hearing crickets and smelling toast...and no attempt to answer my question correctly. Me: I walk off to go get a visual aid.. a gallon of mixable chalk paint, figuring that would help... BUT NOPE.......I wait for the employee to finish whatever he is doing... Not Only do I apparently have two heads, speak nothing but Klingon, but now I've borrowed Harry Potter's Invisibility Cloak... I patiently wait for the employee to quit putzing around and acknowledge my presence again. Now I'm up two ten minutes I will never get back. I show him the can, explain what I want, and I get a blank stare, hear crickets, and smell toast Again...now I'm wondering if the toast smell is now coming from me.. because my blood pressure is starting to spike with all this stupidity. I suggested if they didn't have the smaller size, I could bring in pint jars, we could divide that gallon, then mix the colors I need. I thought this kid was going to self destruct from having to think...Holy crap.. simple math.. Employee: finally has a bright idea..well we sell sample sizes.. What is there to really say about a Lowe's? This one is like any other that I have been in, which is a good thing, not a complaint. It's nice to be able to shop at different city locations and find the same working layout. Makes for locating your needs much better. Always clean. Always well stocked. Items are always competitively priced since there is a Home Depot right across the street. If they don't have it here, they usually do across the street. So, it's a win-win situation for customers. The employees here are easy to locate, very friendly, and very well informed of their products and product locations. read more

This has been the worst experience I have ever dealt with as a customer. My wife and I just PCSd to this location. We ordered a washer and dryer from Lowe's in Wichita Falls. My wife took work off to receive the delivery, however, the dryer didn't work. We called to get a replacement and were told to call the other store in Dallas because that's where it ships from even though I ordered it though this local store. I waited/ took work off again on Monday and the delivery driver calls me at the end of the delivery window to say "I can't get on base I don't have my drivers license." He then said " I guess you will have to take another day off of work." To say this is frustrating is an understatement. I called and called Lowe's and was put on hold for 30 minutes to an hour each time I called. They did nothing to accommodate for these inconveniences and took no accountability for the delivery incident. I was transferred to the delivery company who I spoke with someone to finally set up a better time because they had inconvenienced me for so long. We agreed that I would be the last stop today for deliveries. This morning I get a call at 9:00 am saying "we are in your area" No one communicates and the customer pays because of it. I again had to take off work for a third day to be there for delivery. The dryer gets to my house and is deemed BROKEN! Again customer care locally or from the branch hasn't reached out to try to resolve this. I will never buy from Lowe's again and will make sure others know how they don't care about the customer. read more

Before I moved here, I swore Lowe's was 100% better than HD. That being said, it is the complete opposite at this location. The people are not helpful, not friendly. For example, I passed several employees today, not one asked if I needed help finding anything. The service desk women who answered the phone were rude, ridiculous, and had no clue what they were doing. The online ordering process is another nightmare. I was always told that they had to "get into another system" if you had a question about your item, and you were made known it was putting them out of their way. You order a washer and dryer on Lowe's website on the 17th. They send you a confirmation email straight away advising the machines will be delivered on the 25th coming out of Wichita Falls. So this evening (the 24th) I drove over to the store. That little voice told me to reconfirm. So, the "customer service" lady could not find my order in their system. I showed her the confirmation email. She punched a few more keys then proceeded to inform me that they won't be delivering my machines tomorrow. The earliest will be next Tuesday July 2. Seems they only deliver to Bowie once a week, and this week's truck is full. Moral of the story, local Lowe's stores are not obligated to honor delivery dates given by Lowe's when you order something online. Buyer beware. Another fine example of customer disservice. Update July 1: Tried to call the store this morning. Was bounced around pillar to post trying to find someone who could confirm the machines would be delivered as promised. Really great customer service today. I bought 24 boxes of Pergo type flooring and a guy helped me load the cart without me even asking. Had a really nice cashier who thanked me for my military service and gave me the 10% mil discount. Then when I got to the car an employee volunteered to help load my car without me asking. 5 star experience today Only negative is their 5-gallon water bottle refill inventory is spotty. Ordered a grill and decided that I wanted to have it assembled. Called them Thursday evening and said I would like it assembled and would be there Saturday to pick it up and they said okay we will do it. Came in Saturday and grill is not assembled they bring me to Danny Morton who from the start has an attitude. We workout a plan for a free delivery to my house for their mistake. Great. I am happy with the resolution. Get to the register to get a new receipt and the new receipt is all messed up. We have to get good ol' Danny Morton involved again who then rudely says " The only way you can get an accurate receipt is if we charge you again for the grill. Do you even have another $400 in your account?!" At that point I asked for his manager and Danny let's me know that he can get them but they won't be able to do anything more than he can. Funny because his managers were able to fix the issue. If it weren't for his managers I would have returned the grill I purchased and bought a different one across the street from home depot.
