Lowes continues to disappoint! I ordered patio pavers, gravel and sand along with other yard items from the Mechanicsville location. My first delivery date I was given was for (Saturday) April 25th from 8:00 AM-8:00 PM (and the order was coming from the Williamsburg location???), I waited the entire day and received a call at 6:49 PM that "they are unable to do the delivery." The lady from the Mechanicsville Lowes apologized and said the next day would be Monday, April 27th. She also asked if I would like a morning or afternoon time. I told her I wanted a morning time frame. Again, I awaited and I called at 12:10 and was on hold for over 45 minutes. When I finally reached someone the gentleman called out to store to discover I wasn't placed on the delivery schedule, that someone had made an error. He apologized and said the earliest day for the next delivery would be April 29th, Wednesday. So for the third time, I made arrangements to stay home for the twelve hour window of 8:00 AM- 8:00 PM. I even called at 2:21 on the delivery day to confirm, the lady at the 1 800 number said the delivery is on schedule between 4:00-8:00. My delivery never arrived! The next day, I went to MY Lowe's store to resolve the issue, I was basically told to deal with the Williamsburg location about it since the items are coming from them. He stated this happens often (items coming from different locations) and is a "frustration" for them as well. I called Williamsburg Lowes, they seemed clueless about it and wasn't much help. As I write this now, I have been currently been on hold with Lowes customer care for one hour and 35 minutes and still waiting to get this issue resolved! This is NOT my first overly frustrating ordeal getting products delivered to my home properly. Two months ago, I tried to get a refrigerator delivered, it literally took FIVE times to get it correct -kept coming in damaged. FIVE TIMES! Ridiculous! Update two days later, still not resolved: After being on the phone with a Lowes' rep for over an hour and half (they basically call out to the stores for you), the Williamsburg Lowes called, talked with a man named Chris. He told me the next delivery date would be a week and half away. I asked for the deliver y fee to be waived and a quicker delivery date since I was wronged three times! He said he would check on it and let me know. He didn't call back on the same day. I called the next day, he wasn't available??? So I am now on the phone with Lowes to cancelled my order and close out my Lowes credit card-I AM DONE! While waiting to talk to someone at Lowes, I have already been approved and opened up a Home Depot account. read more

I normally of there for items, the staff is very nice, but if you get any home products that require installation their system is the worst, No one talks to each other, I was told there is a coordination. My 8 yr old could have done better. good place to get the parts but do not expect the installation to run smooth. read more

They don't want your business..... I took my 78 year old mother in to look at flooring options for her house. I was in town for a visit and wanted her to choose something while I was there and I could order it for her and arrange the installation. We went early and the man in the flooring department clearly didn't want to deal with us. He answered every question we asked with abruptness and with an air of not wanting to deal with us. He never once made eye contact with us or smiled. We finally walked out and proceeded down the street to Home Depot where I was happy to spend $4200 for carpet and installation with helpful, friendly people who genuinely wanted our business. read more

This is probably the worst Lowe's around. Don't get me wrong they are all pretty bad, but this one has some of the worst employees. Rude. Lazy. Miserable people. Never seen anything like it. Multiple complaints to the store manager and the corporate office complaint line make no difference. The store is constantly under staffed and hiring, they seem to have massive turnover rates. If your lucky enough to get help from some of the long term employees you'll be ok. But there's only a handful of them left. Avoid this location at all costs. read more

I went down to the store and bought a dishwasher a week ago and was guaranteed delivery this Saturday within a three hour window. I arranged for a contractor to come out to take up the kitchen floor in front of the washer (to take the old one out and put in the new one) and then put the floor back down afterwards. I informed Lowes of this plan when I bought the dishwasher. Saturday morning, I received a call to inform me that they did not order the dishwasher from the warehouse. I went to the store to tell them that I found three in stock in the next city over from here. They instead offered a display model and gave me a 10% discount. They said it would be delivered during the guaranteed delivery window. The window came and went. I called the store and they said my delivery time was delayed until a three hour period in the late afternoon. I explained I had Contractors waiting. They could only offer their apologies. The afternoon window came and my Contractors had to leave. They finally showed up two hours into the delivery window. They did not deliver the installation kit or an owner's manual or warranty that I bought. I went back to the store again and talked to the store manager. She gave me the installation kit and offered her apologies. I asked what about compensation for the money I am out for having the contractors stick around all day and having them come back out on Sunday. She laughed stating that is not her problem. Very poor service all the way around. Would not purchase another appliance from this store. Home Depot or Best Buy here I come! This store has a 1.5 overall rating. Now I know why. The store management needs to be replaced. They don't care about their customers. read more

Absolutely blown away by the lack of customer service or care at this lowes. I purchased a storm door online from lowes during a new construction build. The build went longer than normal and in the end the door did not work for the home. I was informed by the staff and the manager that as I was 12 days over the 90 day return policy they would do nothing for me. I was told I could call corporate and I had to ask for the number. I called corporate,, the customer service rep talked to the Manager Chris and I was then informed that nothing would be done. I have spent literally 100,000 over the years with Lowes and was there to purchase several thousand dollars worth of products today. I loaded up the door, went to Home Depot next door and spent 3800.00 and had great customer service along with it. I will do all I can to discourage friends and family from going to lowes of Williamsburg. Hard to believe Lowes will lose a long time customer over a 400.00 door. Last note,,, the door was still in the original box never opened. No damage. read more

Customer service at this store literally sucks. I went to this location to buy a shower door they had as being available via online. Well the clerk that was available didn't really know what I was talking about. So he went to the Plumbing Dept. guy in charge, they looked the sku number up and low and behold they did not have any available. So I asked them if they had anyone available to go by measurements. To which the guy in charge told me in a terse voice, "that would require a team to come out to your house and do a custom measurement for my shower door. Then they would probably have to do a custom build door for me and that would cost extra. I immediately left Lowes and got what I needed from Home Depot. I just recently purchased a lawn tractor from Lowes in Williamsburg. It did arrive on the day that it had been scheduled however I was not at home at the time and my wife signed for it, When I arrived home it was sitting in the driveway pretty as a picture, so I ask my wife "where' the book or manual" she says "I didn't get one. I called the Lowe's in Williamsburg where I bought it and got somebody in the lawn department that said she would have to print one off the computer and I would have to pick it up. Well, I drove all the way to Lowe's clear across town and sure nuff she had printed about 40 pages off the computer. Thanked her and headed home. After reading how to get started I went out to do just that and looked there was no key. I couldn't believe this. Went back in the house called asked for the same department and got another person that proceeded to tell me that he had the manual and the key but again I had to come get it. so, headed back across town again got to Lowe's, went to Customer and asked for Anthony, the guys that I had spoken to. Anthony came and we went over to the lawn section, he pulled one of those tall rolling ladders, went up pulled out plastic bin then pulled out a plastic envelope, there was my manual, and key. 1/6/2020 I placed an order for floor tile, $641. That day, I got 3 different delivery dates: 1/13, 1/27 and a range of the week before 1/27. I went with the 1/27 on the receipt. On 1/24 I called to check - the store dropped me off the line twice so I called the 800#. After a 15 min. hold, I was assured that the tile was being delivered to the store on 1/26 and would be ready for pick up 1/27. On 1/27 at noon I called the store, was dropped 2X and called the 800#. I was told the truck was being unloaded and that Shawn would call in an hour. On 1/27 at 6:00 p.m. I called the 800# and was told the store did not have enough stock to cover my order....After a discussion this rep too called the store. After 20 min. on hold I hung up. About 10 min. later the rep left me a message saying "Bill" was looking for my order and would call. I drove to the store and asked for a manager. "Chaun" told me that my order had not come in, but they would be happy to order more tile for me. I got a refund. At 7:00 p.m. I got a message from "Bill." My order had come in but they could not find it. NEVER ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS RIDICULOUS STORE. I emailed their corporate customer service, they said a store manager would call me but of course no one has reached out. As a homeowner, I renovate a room every year - this year the kitchen, next year a bathroom. No more renovation dollars to Lowes. read more

We purchased carpet at Lowe's in Williamsburg and received excellent customer service in the store when purchasing and paying for our carpet. Then came installation day. After moving everything in our house and disrupting our lives in preparation for installation, the installers showed up with 2 minutes to spare in their 2 hour window to tell us they could not install our carpet due to there is no where to cut it because it is raining. This left us having to make our beds again and search for essential items in order to get dressed over they next few days, schedule another day off from work and hope that the carpet is actually installed sometime soon. read more

The worst customer service I have ever experienced for installation services, no phone calls to keep customer informed, we had to call them and even then we got run around and ill informed staff. Installer was a no show the first day, store was suppose to call no phone call. Horrific. Would not recommend to build my dog house much less anything else and would never use again. We bought something from Home Deport the same week as our fence purchase from Lowes, Home Depot installed within two weeks. Two months later still no fence. Keep in mind you are also being billed for services that have not been performed, pretty pathetic. read more

Wouldnt even get one star if I had a choice I have I always shopped at this lowes with my pet. I bring my pet with me to work everyday and live very far out in the country and prefer to have her with me so that she's not at home for a long time. I have always stopped here weekly at least and it was one of my favorite places to take my pet and shop I love handy things I love projects. But I walked in today unaware of how things had changed you are no longer allowed to bring your pet and not only that I was in the middle of shopping for products to keep my chickens warm due to cold weather and I was approached and told that I needed to leave inmediately that pets are no longer allowed the associate thought that this was a really stupid policy but I needed to leave so I left my cart full of things and took my business elsewhere and will continue to do so if you're looking for anything that doesn't involve lumber Tractor Supply is one of the great places to get what you need and they welcome your pets. read more

Had a decent experience with the salesmen who sold me my washer and dryer then it went downhill. Promised delivery three weeks after sale and here I am waiting another week. No communication about it until the day before delivery promised. Only offered additional discount for inconvenience after I asked for it. If you want something they don't have in stock, go buy it somewhere else. read more

Unbelievably incompetent and cavalier. I ordered a special order ladder stabilizer and went to pick it up after being informed by phone that it had arrived. I signed for it and began to leave the store when I noted that the box end was wide open and it only contained two of three square tubular pieces, none of the attachment hardware and none of the scuff pads for the item. Apparently, when it arrived (probably in that condition from the shipper that Werner uses), some slob in the warehouse just stuck it out for customer pickup not caring that the box was smashed open and most of the pieces were missing. Somebody else's problem, I guess. The quality control and customer service at this Lowe's is pathetic. Shop elsewhere. read more

I want to give a heads up to anyone thinking of using Lowes and Pella to replace a bay window system that includes double hung windows flanking a fixed window. We ordered the Pella Architect Series 850 which we believed to be the top of the line. However, it seems that matching the grill work between these two window styles is either impossible or perhaps a custom job. You would not know this by reading the literature. Just be certain you have a very clear idea of what is being done and how. We have had a very unpleasant experience. And, more than two weeks later are still waiting for the problem to be resolved. read more

Horrible shipping and receiving! My dishwasher has been sitting at the store for two weeks waiting for an install. The first install was cancelled because they misplaced my appliance. When I questioned the missing status, the receiving person claimed it hadn't arrived. The refrigerator came in damaged so had to be reordered and hope to get an install date and time (I canceled the order rather than chance another screw up.) Gladiator pieces were shipped at the same time, but took 5 deliveries, and one pick up, to arrive as they kept forgetting to put them on the truck. A riding mower was another delayed delivery and then was left in the rain and ruined the manuals. The grill was sent minus some screws to hold the back on. We have switched to Home Depot. They match prices and are on time! Update - still no dishwasher. Installer called to say they could come after July 21 - a month AFTER we ordered the appliance! I've spoken to 3 separate managers, the fourth was too busy as he was on the phone with corporate. Sad the Lowe's in San Antonio was the best! read more

We ordered a quartz vanity top. We told them that time is of the essence that we needed to have it within two weeks. They assured us that it would be in our house in two weeks. They called two weeks after we ordered and paid and said there was a hold-up and it would take another two weeks. We had so much trouble with estimates, timing, and they didn't even get our phone number right...Lowe's has the worst ratings of any store I've ever seen. Stay away from Lowe's. Horrible customer service is an understatement. For the second time, I have been sadly disappointed by Lowe's. The first time was a deck install that took twice as long as it should have. I decided to give them another try upon the recommendation of my son who had purchased a patio door from Lowe's in Chesapeake. We ordered a door recommended by the salesman after waiting over half an hour at our first visit and a visit from the installer to measure about a week later. We were told it would take 22 days before it would be delivered to the store. I called to check on the delivery after 24 days and was told it should be arriving in another 2 weeks. The next time I called it would take an additional 8 days. Today I was told it would take 2 more weeks--22 days has now become 2 months. The manager informed me that there was nothing that could be done and that if I had ordered from anyone else the same thing would have happened. No remorse--just my tough luck. We too will be cutting up our Lowe's card. I now remember why it hasn't been used in years. Try Home Depot!!!!!! read more
