Great experience in the garden department but actually went in to purchase a refrigerator and dishwasher. Three employees with no customers in the appliance department made us feel like intruders. None of them wanted to help - they were just talking, one sitting on a washing machine telling personal stories so I don't know why they were so unhelpful. One of them finally came and sort of "answered" our question but didn't really know and kept glancing away back at his friends obviously wanting to get back to talking to his fellow employees. We gave up and went to Home Depot to buy our appliances. I will never consider Lowes for future appliance purchases. read more

We ordered a dishwasher online so not 100 percent thus is the store. But we used the install team from online and I assume its local, but couldn't get any definitive answer. Anyway, Lowes doesn't install anything even though you pay Lowes to do it The subcontract out the work to a company who subcontracts out the work. Not only did the subcontracts subcontractor damage our brand new dishwasher, the also danaged our cabinets, and left half inch razor sharp metal objects sticking out of the space between the dishwasher and the cabinets on each side. Used zip ties to clamp off our kitchen sink water supply damaging the faucet and left us with no kitchen water. And finally half way thru the job scammed my wife out of another $150 in cash saying they needed it to finish the job. All in we paid Lowes the $150 to install and had to add in another $$150 to the inept crew and $100 to an emergency plut to get water going again. Now Lowes has agreed to reorder the dishwasher after extensive heated arguments and they denied any responsibility, but told me they would notify the sub contractor who would talk to the subcontractors subcontractor. I have spoken with the subcontractor and got a lot of we understand and we are sorry and we will make it right but time will tell In the meantime the company I originally paid to do the job (lowes) was unapologetic and stood solid that they weren't at fault. Proceed with caution with them they clearly don't vet the contractor or the subcontractors at all, and hold themselves harmless for screwing you over. read more

I called around 8:00 a.m. to confirm the glass cutting machine was operational. They said it was. When I arrived about 90 minutes later, the glass cutter was out of order. It looked like the sign had been there for a long time, tattered edges and so forth. I went to the service desk to make sure it was really out of order. There were two ladies behind the desk. As I approached, they both walked away. Had they simply told me the machine was broken, it would have saved me a half day. read more

I ordered kitchen cabinets from them. and it's been an awful process from start to half finish. they dropped off the boxes and they sat in my living room for 3 weeks before anyone came out to say they can start the installation. then it turns out they can't read measurements correctly and had to reorder new ones. keep in mind this is after the demo, so I'm now 3 weeks without a kitchen and there has been no effort to keep us informed on the timeline nor any desire to actually say a meaningful apology. When you spend nearly $2,000 on a lawnmower & are told they'll deliver the one you picked out that's in front of the store, but delivery is delayed because it's not assembled, cancel your order. Their delivery driver backed the truck into my new fence and gate, nearly destroying it, and left without saying a word about it. I submitted pictures of the damages to their customer service, their corporate offices along with estimates they requested. Was told damages were done by their contracted delivery service "Spirit" and neither Lowe's nor Spirit wants to pay for damages... finger pointing, passing the buck and unkept promises. Wish we would have looked at the ratings before making an online purchase! We ordered a washer and dryer 2 1/2 weeks ago, delivery was suppose to be today between noon- 4:00 pm. We waited until 3:30 to finally call the store and see what the status was ONLY to be told it was rescheduled for March 22nd!!! We never received a call and the ONLY email we got was rescheduling of the items that we ordered for accessory (hose, vent tape etc). I was very upset and let the associate know! I tried to return a gallon of ceiling paint and Lowes refused to return it without my paper receipt. I told them it was extra and I needed to purchase a bunch of paint and supplies for the walls but they did not care. So I went across the street to their competitor, Home Depot and purchased $175.00 in paint and related items and remembered I needed filters for my refrigerator and added that for an additional $75.00 in purchases. I have had 3 separate refrigerators delivered two had dents and scratches (I didn't pay for dented items) and other they screwed up reversing the doors and the freezer never closed all the way. Using a gift card, I had purchased over $100 in electrical supplies. Admittedly, I had lost the receipt. When I went to return unopened merchandise, Lowes would not offer a refund or even a store credit (which I asked for). Apparently, it is now a store policy not to offer any refunds/credit for returning merchandise if you do not have a receipt or the actual credit card used. (If you use cash or gift card, you are out of luck.) Stay away from ever using or giving Lowes Gift cards. BTW, I went to HD to make my purchases that day. And I may continue to do so in the future. I went into Lowe's and paid for and ordered a new electric dryer. I was told that it would be delivered the next weekend that another store had it in stock. Then I was called back and told it actually was not in stock and we would need to get it from the manufacture. I would have to get a loaner in the meantime. Instead of waiting a week it turned out that I waited three months to get my dryer. The sales rep completely set up incorrect expectations. I would've never spent $600 on a dryer that I had to wait 3 months on! I called and talk to a store manager, Emily who said that she would take care of it. Emily apparently is an assistant store manager. She assured me that they would send out the dryer vent to make sure I was all set up and she would be issuing me a store credit or money back on my credit card. I have gone into the store five times and left over 11 messages since I made the purchase in February. I have been trying to get a hold of Emily since the end of March and never once received a phone call back. I am beyond disappointed in the store. I have waited until now to review them giving them the benefit of the doubt that they would do the right thing and send me some kind of credit. They have not. This isn't the first time something like this has happened. Last year when I bought brand new garage doors and spent $2000 with Lowe's they took four months to install and they installed the incorrect brand new garage doors. They also did not send the garage door opener's. They ripped out my old garage doors before even checking if the installer have the correct new doors. The manager of Millworks did make it right and gave me an upgrade for new doors the process was very painful. I should've trusted my gut and never returned to this store. I will continue to go to a Home Depot from now on! I am so disappointed in this location and their lack of customer service! Lowe's at Woodstock-GA has absolutely the worst customer service. Most workers don't even know what they are doing and giving all the wrong info. My husband is non- English speaker, he does his best when I'm not around. We purchased a Pressure Washer Honda Simpson back in March, we spent $808.49 with product and Lowe's Protection Plan. Fast Foward to July, two problems happened. 1) 07/15/2023 Our pressure washer stopped working, we thought we were good because we had bought the ''Insurance'' , so we would just head to Lowe's and see if you could make an exchange or take it to repair. Two young ladies in customer service was no help at all, and just told my husband to call Insurance. We called and Lowe's protection plan said that their coverage was only active for the first 90 days after purchase. NOBODY SAID THAT BEFORE?? My husband stayed at Lowe's from 2:30pm til 5:30pm waiting for someone more helpful, until he got tired and called me to go see if I could resolve the situation. He was worried they were being dismissive because he is non-English speaker. My husband also has Epilepsy. When I got there we was having muscles spams due to stress. I went on to customer service to explain that nobody gave info before on how the insurance worked and they were very dismissive. I told them to get their shit together and that I would also be returning our Carry on trailer which we also had a problem with 2 weeks prior! 06/27/23 - Carry on Trailer $723.33, one girl sold my husband the Trailer with NO TITLE, stating that we didn't need a license plate for it and that we were good. Next day we find out that we did need a license plate and that we need to go register the title with the tax commissioner. I had to go to Lowe's, to get the title from them. The guy that helped was very sweet but yet upset because he found 6 other titles, and that someone was selling the trailers without them! I went into the store to return a Christmas gift with a receipt. I didn't realize the date of the receipt was a week outside the return policy time frame because there isn't anywhere on the receipt that says a specific time in which an item (including gifts) could be returned. The sales person at the register informed me that she would not be able to complete the return because of the time frame. I politely asked for a manager to assist with the situation because I work in retail as well. I know just getting a managers approval with an unused item, even past the time frame, is an easy adjustment with just a code or password. The cashier grabbed a "head cashier" and she reiterated what the original associated told me moments ago. After that, I politely asked if I could speak to a manager, please. She goes back and gets Blake, the assistant store manager. With no introduction, greet, or question about what's going on, he just takes me receipt and goes to the register at the end. He swiped a card and bypassed anything that stopped me from getting a refund. The "head cashier" took over the transaction and told me the refused was issued to the original tender! And right when I said "wait hold on" the receipt was printing and she told me it's too late. I immediately told her to grab Blake because he can easily void the transaction. I have several years of pos experience to know that every register has a void or post void option that can cancel any purchase or return within the same day. Blake waddles back to the register in defense mode and he told me that he wasn't even supposed to issue a refund in the first place and if I have any questions, I can call the customer service number posted on the wall. He told me I should have told him my payment request when he first took my receipt but he didn't even give me the chance earlier. I told him that's his job to ask the questions and that he needs to have a better line of communication with his teammates because the original cashier was aware that the item was a gift and needs to refunded to my card or a store card. He told me it's my fault and that I should ask the person who bought the gift TO SEND ME THE MONEY. That is so tacky! I felt that was completely unprofessional because I'm having an issue instore that should be resolved in store. I don't want to speak to a random person in Wisconsin that has no idea what's going on. As a manager, you should be able to handle customer issues and resolve them. Plus, knowledge by the associates of the plant. Care. Their kindness, politeness, and friendliness. (as well as fairness!!!) they go by THE policy, standard, and not by baking it up by how much flirting you do with them. Unlike Lowes, they don't encourage stealing plants, so they don't have to change/correct their inventory/paperwork. And....both places have shown, they know the difference between annuals and Perennials, and not Kaye uo which one lives where comes back. Etc. MY FAVORITE! I like Lowe's because I like to think that it was built specifically with women in mind while their competitor is about the contractor and guys who need something to do on the weekends. I love that they are now showing a new line of comfort, (seat height) toilets that are also designed to be easier to clean. The increased height is important because no one wants to feel as if they are squatting in an outhouse and I love the idea of sitting on a throne. Although I currently own such as toilet, the new ones are sleek and cool and they do not have those annoying little covered screws on the side. I'm going to need the city of Alpharetta to use some of my tax money and upgrade their toilets from the newer more comfortable options. Instead of sticking with generic vanities, they are showcasing vanities that are being designed by known designers, (The Property Brothers, HGTV). Although simple, these items are a better quality and actually more attractive than the builder basics. When you stop by, don't forget to go to the front of the store because they currently have a variety of bathroom vanities, (counter tops, sinks and accessories included), at greatly reduced prices. Why settle for basic when you can turn it up a level and get something that is more than just functional. Lowe's has really become our "go to store for home decor and more. When we wanted to enhance our landscape and add a wall, we purchased all of our supplies from Lowe's and everything turned out beautifully. When we wanted new appliances, again we turned to Lowe's. I now know that my new toilets will definitely be coming from Lowe's and possibly some new bath fixtures. They can't carry everything in their store, because they just don't have the room. However, they do have a good sampling and if you don't see what you want, you can always follow up on line. You can ship your items to the store for free, (who wants to pay shipping on a tub?), and pick them up from there. Returns are always very easy and hassle free! I just moved to the area and I've been making daily trips to this location. So far, we've come here for paint, paint supplies, ladders, a fridge, door locks, door kits and household cleaning supplies. We've easily spent $2700+ this past weekend. So far, so good. The paint department has been super helpful with all my questions and requests for guidance. Since paint needs to be mixed and shaken, the process can take up a bit of time, especially if you're like me and grab 10 gallons of mixed paint in one trip. We bought a color too dark and returned the paint for a new color was seamless (Get it, paint....seamless!). We have tons of wooden paint stirrers everywhere now. The hardware department was particularly helpful since we had to return the locks we bought. Turns out the door to our home was built during a time with different standard codes. Originally, we thought we would have to buy a new door, but the staff there gave us a kit to help bore through the door to make sure the new locks fit. The first kit broke after 3 doors. So we exchanged it for another one and the new one works great. We also bought a fridge. The Samsung I originally wanted was on back order and I didn't want to wait that long. The woman who helped me was patient and showed me some other models that had what I was looking for. In the end, I got a Whirlpool French Door fridge and have it scheduled to be delivered later this week. The whole process took maybe 20 minutes. Checking out can be a pain. The whole checkout counter set up annoys me. The counter is too small for everything and bagging takes forever. The cashiers are pretty indifferent every time I checkout. Not rude, but not really friendly either. We're really loving the return/exchange policy. We made about half a dozen trips to the store this past weekend and more than half of it was returning things or exchanging items. There hasn't been a problem with that, so far. As for customer service, we haven't had any real problems. Of course, this is because my husband thinks he's Ron Swanson and doesn't need any help. He would rather walk around aimlessly instead of asking for help. If Lowe's served bacon, he would probably never leave. read more

Let me paint you a picture... Woman comes in with large flat bed cart. Wonders around the store aimlessly for 10 minutes. Finds, on her own, what she's looking for. Loads the cart with 2 large folding tables, 3 large bins, and a large dolly. The dolly doesn't fit so she decides to put the dolly on the side of the cart and hold it while she maneuvers herself through the isles up to the register. While at the register the cashier tells her not to move, she will scan the items while the woman holds the dolly in place. Looking like a cirque du soleil member she reaches into her purse to pay. After paying she holds it all together while walking what seems to be a mile to her car. Yes folks, that woman was me! I have to say the difference between Home Depot (across the street) and Lowes is the CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Yes, Lowes does have options that HD doesn't but MAN O MAN, when I walk into HD there are a million people asking me if I need any help! I was in Lowes for 25 minutes and no one spoke to me! Even while I was obviously in need! I do love the additional items that Lowes carries and HD doesn't. They REALLY need to ramp up on the customer service though! The customer service which used to be outstanding has gone downhill dramatically in the past 6 months or so. Attention Lowe's management: You might want to fix this problem or you are going to lose a lot of loyal customers. I stopped shopping at Home Depot over 10 years ago because they consistently had horrible customer service. It didn't matter which store you went to you could walk the store and not find someone to help you. I have been buying pretty much exclusively from this Lowe's for the past 10 years. I have easily spent over $12,000 there in that time frame due to numerous remodeling projects. This Lowe's used to have wonderful customer service. You could almost always find someone to help easily. If someone wasn't close by you could press the button one of the aisles to page someone and someone would come quickly. I have been to this Lowe's at least 15 times in the past 30 days. On several of those occasions I left frustrated by the lack of customer service. The times when you cannot get help are not at busy times or at slow times, I've had problems recently during both. On one trip I needed some help finding some lumber that I could not find. There was nobody around in lumber at all. It was a ghost town. I pressed the pager and after 15 minutes of nobody coming I went up to the contractor desk and finally found someone who told me what I was looking for was outside. I was buy myself and needed several large items, so when I checked out I asked the cashier if someone could help me load. She said sure, but nobody came. I ended up loading it myself. One day while I was standing in the returns line they were paging someone in plumbing because an irate customer had been on hold forever. On multiple occasions when I was at the customer service desk someone has come up to the desk asking for help because they could not find anyone to help on the floor. If someone is there to help I have found that they are generally very friendly and helpful, it's just that lately either everyone is spending time in the break room chatting rather than working or they store is massively understaffed. read more

I ordered a refrigerator on 11/21/20 for delivery on 11/30/20 (carefully orchestrating around holiday travel and work schedules) and was called an hour before delivery (as per their confirmation call to me the preceding day) telling me that they did not have the one purchased in stock and with no suggestions as to how to rectify the problem. Generally speaking store is ok, they had a great deal on mulch this weekend. However just like normal customer service is ridiculously poor. the register person never even said hello, much less if I found everything ok. The person loading the mulch never said anything, didn't even bother to take head phones out. This is par for this store, I have never come here expecting good service so really I am not too let down, although today was really bad! read more
