I purchased a Kolbalt laser temperature gun a few months ago and used it one time. I went to use it again yesterday and it no longer worked. I went to the store and they wouldn't refund or exchange it without a receipt. I paid cash and lost the receipt. I called Kobalt and they wouldn't replace it either.....Never going to buy another POS Kobalt tool nor will I ever spend another cent at Lowes. 10 years ago I spent over $30,000 at Lowes in materials for my new home. I purchased a brand new refrigerator from Lowes that was delivered on the third of July, immediately before a holiday weekend. It didn't feed any water into the dispenser or the ice maker and when I called them the following Monday they said it was too late to return it because they only provide forty-eight hours to return anything. So now, I'm stuck with a "new" refrigerator that only partially works. I will NEVER shop at Lowes again! read more

Lowe's is an automaton. Problems are hard to resolve b/c only AI has the answer, The poor people who work customer service are saints. I wonder how long they can take it. I have never had a problem solved without having to go 25 miles over to the store and talk with them. That is by design -- there you are! Better think of what else to buy!! I ordered a $5000 garden tractor that, if seems, I could only get through Lowes, now that Sears is no more. I didn't want to buy the display model, so I went home and ordered a NEW mower on-line. It came chipped and scuffed and left out in the weather since God knows when. The plastic bag on the back with parts and manual was full of water. I tried to deal with this online and with phone call to multiples which resulted in I'd have to go back to the store w/i 3 days to return, so I did and was told they would pick up the following Monday. It's Friday. My credit card has never been credited and i have heard absolutely nothing from Lowe's. I can't get into my Lowe's account. They say they are sending a passcode to my email. I've never received that passcode in junk or inbox so tell me where to look I've had to get mowing and I have never heard from Lowe's, so i guess I'll have to do a court thing. Trying to order a shed to be built at my home was the worst sales experience of my life! I placed my order, payed full upfront and was told a company called Heartland would be fulfilling my order. Not once was I called from Heartland during my whole ordeal.  After several visits and complaints at Lowe's they were finnaly able to get someone on their phone for me to talk to and finally set a date for my install a month after i had purchased it and a week longer then the latest date of install shown on my contract. Then on the date they set the install they never arrive and I am not contacted even tho I took the day off work for it. After finding their direct number finaly and calling I was given no reason why no one showed or contacted me to say my install was cancelled and I was not given a new date for my install and of course I was told I would be called back which never happened. It was hard to give up after investing so much time (3 months) but I already lost several thousand dollars paying for rent and storage waiting that i finaly canceled my order and bought a prebuilt shed from another company which also cost me an extra 1000 but was quality built. It's hard to believe a company can run like this, and from what I have heard this is common. The people at Lowe's tried to help when I imposed it on them tho they never did much more then make a phone call and pass on the lies, but since they are the ones that took my money they really should have been able to do something. I tried without success to submit a review online after my visit to Loew's Yakima store on May 21, 2022. Definitely operator error I think, but I am using this site because I feel strongly about my experience. I was looking for a bathroom cleaning product I found online. I looked through all the Zep products they had without finding the one I wanted. I need to say here that I have difficulty walking and standing for long periods. I looked for staff help and found Jon. He came with me to where the Zep products were and went through everything, not finding what I needed. He offered to go to the back somewhere to search. I few minutes later he came back with a box of exactly what I needed! I really appreciated his help! I also was helped by Bridgett at the check out counter. She chatted with me while she rang up each of the other items I chose in addition to the cleaner. We talked about our Memorial weekend plans which included both of us hosting family from out of town. What's not to love about Lowe's? If I need a washer dryer, a drill, shovel, some potting soil or a paint sample, it's all here! The Variety here is ever expanding and the folks here are always helpful whenever I look lost come over even if I don't. Definitely a bigger store than some of the local options,but if I want to make sure I can find everything that I need, including some of obscure items then this is the place to go. Friendly people, frequent coupons and all the energy drinks you could ever want check out aisles! Well done! read more

This location is always so clean and the staff is amazing. Day and night deference from its orange big box competition down the road that's so unorganized and has horrible customer service and product knowledge. I was getting a gate quote from both companies and I have to say Lowes handled it with complete professionalism and knowledge. The other big box had no idea of what products they had or anything about their out of store contractors they sent out! The contractor was the only good part of that other store. Lowes had it all covered and made my decision so easy. Great to see all the new sustainable supplies and smart house products too.I could spend hours going down those isles! I have no idea why anyone would choose any other place for home supplies and projects in this area. read more

So incredibly rude!! I can't get help from people in the store when I am down there. You try getting associates to help you and they walk away when you go towards them to ask a question. You call up the store on the phone and they either hang up on you when you are trying to ask a question or are to lazy to even help! I then have associates lie about why they hung up the phone, all I wanted was to see if they had a plant in stock so I didn't have to waist an hours drive into town. No wonder they have so many negative reviews... When they first opened, it was a completely different store. I was disappointed with my Lowe's experience - but more specifically, infuriated with their prescribed contracted installer for gas water heaters. They're called Central Heating and Plumbing. In brief, Central showed up late, looked at my job, told me they wouldn't do it, claimed they had to return to the main office for a "detail" (approval from the boss, it seems) and never called me back. They left my house with the water heater I had purchased and never told me why they wouldn't do the job. When I gave them a call one hour after they left my house, I was told to call Lowe's. Lowe's told me Central wasn't returning to my house at all. It wasn't until I went to Lowe's the next day, and spoke with someone in their "Install" department, that I was told I had a "non-standard install." I informed the person in Installation that Lowe's was not being represented well by the Central and Central was doing them a disservice. For the record, I called a local Plumber to do the work that night and they did the entire job in two hours, from start to finish, the very next morning. They also had not seen my job before they arrived. There was not one single obstacle to doing the work as the location of the water heater install was in the garage. There were no walls, pipes, steps or cars obstructing access. The installers were rude and unprofessional and took no accountability. Chris, the boss (owner?) never returned my call. read more

My brother loves this place since he's been doing some home improvements. This place is spacious. Didn't really stay or enjoy it for long, but definitely kept my niece entertained with the inflatable Christmas decoration...or should I say "winter" decoration. Bought a washer and dryer with an expected delivery date of just over a week from purchase date. The first delivery date I made sure I was off work for the scheduled delivery, the night before the delivery an email was sent notifying they would not be delivering and it was reschedule for another week later. That next appointment I took the day off from work to be home for the delivery, again it was delayed again the day before the scheduled delivery and was moved another half a week to today. The tracking system showed it was out for delivery and would be delivered between 2-6pm. At 8pm a phone call was finally made to us asking if we were home, we said yes we have been all day, they said they were on their way. At 930pm we called the number that had called us to ask them where they were and as expected no answer and to voicemail. Have been very disappointed in the whole process after spending $3k for an "in stock" washer and dryer. read more

I recently purchased a dishwasher and my son had told me how they install them so I thought he could do the installation. Long story short, he decided it was too difficult to do himself, so I had to go back and sign up for Lowe's installation team. They were kind enough to get me signed up and now I will be waiting for the guys who do the installation to call me for a date and time. Lana very kindly set up the contract for me and now I will wait for them (installers) to call. I have already paid for the installation. Hopefully, they will be honorable and get my appliance installed without too many delays. My next critique will hopefully be a good one, too. P.S. I tried calling the store but no one ever picked up a phone. I was wondering why they are paying for phones when they never answer. I called them all. Including the manager. As a do-it-yourselfer, I go to a lot of home improvement stores. As far as I can tell, they all have their issues - some more than others. In my opinion, Lowe's is probably (overall) the better of the two home improvement stores in town. It's certainly a lot nicer of a store than HD. Prices are virtually identical, but it's work looking in to. If HD has a better price, they'll beat it! In my experience, I've had slightly more knowledgeable individuals help me when I'm looking for specific items - but I almost always end up using there mobile app to help me find what i'm looking for. The mobile app give aisle and approximate locations of items (assuming you know what it's called and can search it on your mobile device). They've got a solid selection of parts and pieces for almost anything home improvement related that you are looking for. My only beef with this particular store is the lumber. I've had a much tougher time finding decent lumber here than at their competitor. If you are looking for customer service, check out one of the smaller home retailers. If you are looking for more specific non-standard pieces, check out Lowes. Save yourself some time and search for your item online before you arrive! I've saved a lot of time this way by not making the drive when they don't have the item in stock! read more

I made a deal to purchase a new refrigerator on sale last week. I was told to return Saturday to finalize the measurements and payment and delivery details. I ordered it last a Thursday for the sale price of $799 and was told that was good for any color and size in that model. I went in this Saturday morning and was refused the deal I ordered and that the sale was off. I was offered a bait and switch deal on the same model for $1069. The lack of integrity of a major retailer such as Lowe's. Needless to say I have purchased much over the past years but never again will buy another item and will be sure to spread the appropriate negative advertising every chance I get. read more

Tried to order a stove and dishwasher online. BIG MISTAKE!!! Seemed to work at first, as our invoice and email receipts showed they both were ordered, and a delivery date with installation & hauling of old appliances was all set. Day of delivery arrived, with a promised time of somewhere between 8am & 8pm. Sat around at home all day - nothing. Hubby called 6-8 times throughout the day with promises every time that the online ordering rep would call him back. No calls, only promises from other customer service reps that it was still on its way. Nothing. Last call of the day they promised delivery would happen the next day. The next day a dishwasher was delivered and plopped in our kitchen. No stove was on the order and no installation of the dishwasher. Hubby called to find out why there was no stove. Something or someone messed up our order. They couldn't even find that we had ordered a stove. Needless to say we had them come back & pick up the dishwasher and we canceled the entire order & went with Costco appliances instead. To make it even more unprofessional, the day after they came back and picked up the dishwasher, another truck came by to pick up the already-picked-up dishwasher. It had shown up in their computer as a pickup instead of something that was already picked up. Red flags everywhere. Such unprofessional service. read more

Marilou was very helpful and she walked with me all over the store to get the pieces I needed. I am not a typical hardware store customer, so I look pretty much lost all the time when I need to get something. She saved my day. Prices are meh. I ordered online from Lowe's to get free shipping (if I got to high enough they would ship free) because of the coronavirus. My son has Type 1 diabetes and I don't want him to get exposed. After checking out online, I received notification I still had to go to the store to pick up part of the order. The order I picked up was wrong: they charged me for a completely different product than what I had ordered. Delivery of the other items were delayed, and upon delivery I only received one item. Where is everything else? What a way to cheat customers. Never go here. I have never had any issues like this at Home Depot. Go to Home Depot instead. That's where I had to go to get the items Lowe's cheated me out of. read more

They are just a bad giant corporate conglomerate business that does not even care about the individual. I went there with cash to buy a carpet. They said someone will call for an appointment which took several days then they needed to schedule an installer to come look even though it was just bare wood and i had the dimensions. Then after all that they take another couple weeks to call back which they just left a message. I call the store 4 different times over a 5 day period and finally have to ask for management because they can't seem to get me the totals.then the manager said a bunch a bs and passes me back to the original idiot. The idiot then tell me the price and they I need to come back to the store to pay then they will have someone call in a few days to schedule. STAY AWAY THEY ARE JUST BAD or DUMB both are equally awful to deal with. read more

When I finally got a clerk to help she was confused, couldn't answer my questions, wouldn't look at me at all; a complete puzzle to me what she was doing there at all. Went to the store and bought a microwave that never did work, I returned it and had to order another another......still waiting on that. While I was there I wanted to buy a bath tub, I went as soon as they opened so they wouldn't be busy because I've had issues in the past where you can't get anyone to help you. Apparently not being able to get any help from an employee is not because they are busy. There were very few people in the store and I still could not get anybody to help me in spite of my asking several times, each time being told "I'll have someone come right over to help you". I saw a lot of employees standing around and yet I stood in that isle for an hour. Finally an older woman came to the same isle with an employee, I was like hey how did you do that? I finally got the bath tub but geez it was so frustrating and not my first experience with not being able to get any help there. I'm done, never again. read more

If I could give this review 0 stars I would my husband and his dad went to the store to get a washer and dryer and they didn't have it in stock because of covid which is fine totally understand so we had to order it it took about 3 weeks which is totally understandable we were suppose to have it delivered and installed is what the guy told us well the date came to have it delivered and the day before we had to go to Montana for a family emergency so we called and switched the deliver date to a later date the day came it was suppose to be delivered and no one showed up so I waited a few days and called and the guy said he wasn't sure where it was and he had to print out our information and have a manager look into it and he would call us back that day we never got a call back a few days went by and I called again after calling several times we finally got ahold of someone and he said that he wasn't sure exactly what happened but we can schedule a day for it to be delivered so we did and they kept saying we only ordered a dryer which we didn't we paid for a washer and dryer so he looked again and he saw that it has both on there so we scheduled a day for it to be delivered the day came and the deliver guys asked if it was a set and I said yes and they said they only have the washer so we ended up getting only the washer and the parts to hook up the washer with but 30 min before they delivered it they called my husband and told him they can only put it on the porch they can't instal it for us even though the only reason we had it delivered was so they could install it for us the guy at the store said they would! I was extremely upset! They only bring the washer and then they can't install it! I had to call several several times to get ahold of anyone about the dryer that never came!! After being transferred and no one answering the phones I finally got a hold of a manager and he said that he wasn't sure what exactly happened but got us a day for it to be delivered well it never came on that day!! So having to call again and again I finally got ahold of the same guy and he scheduled another day for it to be delivered it finally came but guess what they didn't being the PLUG to plug in the dryer with so instead of calling or driving to Yakima to pick it up I just went to another store to get a plug it's ridiculous they are so unorganized and no one knows what's going on no one answers the phones and when they do they transfer you and then no one answers still I had to call over and over and over just for someone to pick up! We will NEVER order from Lowe's again! Save your time and go somewhere else it's definitely not worth the stuff we had to go through just to get a washer and dryer! read more

Disappointing when I returned a big ticket item to this Lowes that according to the manufacturer was "not in sellable condition, and wasn't when I bought it", only to find out Lowes put it back on the floor to sell knowing the item had major issues. I provided Lowes an email from the manufacturer saying the item was not in sellable condition and Lowes assured me it would not go back out on the floor. Apparently they lied, because there it was for sale the next time I went in...used and all. Can't believe they care about their customers very much if they knowingly sell faulty equipment. I'm sure Lowe's doesn't care, but I'll take my business to Home Depot from now on. read more

Horrible customer service. I bought slate tile for a flooring project. 6-8 tiles in each box of ten were broken. I had to fight tooth and nail to get replacements. Called in for information on another product, was transferred 3 times, then put on hold for 6 minutes before they hung up on me. If Lowes is trying to run this store into the ground, they are doing an admirable job of it. Stay away! read more
