Stopped here with a friend who is 23 years old with a valid ID, and the staff refused to sell alcohol because his license was vertical. She told us you have to be 24 to buy alcohol, which is completely incorrect -- the legal age is 21 in New Mexico. The store has a policy about vertical IDs that's fine, but giving customers wrong information about the law and being dismissive and rude about it isn't a good look. Pretty disappointing experience and we ended up going somewhere else due to poor service when we found be easily used my a different person with a horizontal ID and it smells like horrendous read more

As a Texan, I have pretty high standards when it comes to grocery stores. We have H‑E‑B and to me, it doesn't get much better. However, for a town of around 1000 people, this place is amazing. Yes, you're going to pay a little bit more because someone had to truck it literally over the river and through the woods, but it's so handy. They have everything you need! This little local grocery shop gets the job done when visiting Angel Fire. It's not a full service grocery, meaning they don't have a butcher, fresh fish, bakery, or deli counter. Nor do they have a full pharmacy. But they have a nice variety of all the necessities. They stock fresh veggies, toiletries, frozen foods, bottled water, ice, and dry goods, too. They also have a selection of beer, wine and liquor. Bottom line: this little local market has a good number of kitchen staples which will help you whip up whatever recipe you've got pinned for tonight. This is my favorite grocery store between red river and Taos . It's clean. Everything is easy to find. Great wine selection.

I love this store! The employees are friendly and helpful and they have a bay of self check stations to move it along. It's not a large store but they have a great selection of many things. Absolutely horrible customer service. Wouldn't sell me tequila even though I had a valid ID. And then proceeded to scream at me in front of about 50 people. I hope the film is watched and they are fired for how they treat their customers. read more

The produce is amazing, the store carries all the right things. You can find just about anything you need here and it's so convenient.

I was able to make Paella just from the items I bought at Lowe's. also they stock enough Alcohol for a town wide, month long, Mardi Gras celebration.. The prices were slightly higher than the Lowlands groceries but nothing crazy. Staff was friendly and helpful. read more

I love a good Lowe's market especially when I'm in a small town. I know I can count on this place to carry a little bit of everything so that even if I can't get the exact brand I want I can totally find all of the different necessities I need to get by. They also carry gluten-free bread and other gluten-free products at this location which is a double win. read more

We were in the village of Angel Fire for a late season ski vacation visiting from Southwest Louisiana. As will happen from time-to-time we forgot a few things that would make the stay better. Enter the local Lowe's Market. This store was extremely well stocked (including with items from back home in cajun country) and staffed with extremely helpful and attentive employees. read more

It's a solid little market. They have a great alcohol selection, but I did have a hard time finding some veggies and "other than wheat" flour options. That said, I am sure they have to serve a diverse group of needs and they are doing a remarkable job at that. read more

This grocery store is small but has a good variety of items. There is no shortage in the alcohol department and wristrockets. However, the clerk that rung up our groceries was not friendly and threw the receipt on the turnstile, couldn't even be bothered to hand it to me or my husband. It's been said that New Mexico residents dislike anybody who isn't a NM resident. read more

Surprisingly large and varied selection for a small, resort town grocery store. Seems to be well run and the staff is friendly. All this, and the prices still manage to remain reasonable, which is unusual given shipping costs and the general lack of competition. read more

I was worried that our grocery options were going to be pretty limited and was happy to find that this Lowe's Market had a GREAT assortment of food options. I've been to a Lowe's before that was at least half the size but had less than half the selection that this location has. They even had a humidor with a few good cigars. I would like to see them sell cigar lighters (torch lighters) in the future so I can light them without using butane. Was fantastic to see the cheese options as well as the multitude of options for drinks. Nice joint! read more

Place is great. Went there several times the week I was in town and they have the things you need. Only spot in town really. Service was fine til the last day when I dropped in for a couple items. I stepped in a checkout line and was second. Someone told me to go to the self checkout and I politely declined. Then was told they would check me out. I said yes. The clerk scanned my two items and walked off. I caught him by asking don't I need to pay? He took my money and rolled his eyes. I told him I would have been happy to wait in the line he pulled me from and he said they dont like that because it gets congested. I told him I preferred just getting checked out in a traditional way if it is available. He told me if I didn't like it then don't come back. I asked who the manager was and he said it was him. Then a lady from the cigarette counter told me to grow up and difues the situation. Maybe she was right but if it were my store I would tell that to my worker not the customer. read more

It's my first time in town. I found this nice little local store to be just GREAT. They had a good reasonably priced produce section. The store was clean and everyone associated with the place was friendly and helpful. For those who want everything in a store to have as much as a big city store JUST STAY HOME in the first place. I shopped three times and bought wine. First time i was asked for drivers license. i had left DL in a previous town (driving the country in a rv) and she refused to ring up the sales. I asked for manager and showed ID and it was approved (not drivers license). Second time I bought wine, the cashier waved me off when I showed my ID. Third time, the drivers license had caught up to me and I showed it. She said it didn't have a strip on back and she needed manager approval. I'm seventy years old (70). I'll never shop at a Lowe's again. Doesn't common sense ever prevail. There is no way I look underage. read more

Very impressed with this place. The prices were very very reasonable. The selection of veggies, fruit, and other food options were solid. We loaded up on more breakfast food items to keep from spending $55-60 every morning at breakfast cafe. read more

I have had good experiences here, for the most part, until recently. My colleague and I were accused of trying to purchase drinks for underage kids that we clearly did not know. A staff member threatened us (to the extent of calling the authorities) saying there was video evidence of us walking in with them. I guess he was bluffing, because we had never seen those kids before in our lives. Hope things turn around soon. read more
