We live in Albuquerque, but nowhere near an Allsup's, so when we saw this location in Taos, a stop…read morefor chimichangas was a must. The chimichangas were crispy outside and gooey inside, just like they're supposed to be. What was awesome about this particular location is that they have a great selection of groceries at reasonable prices. We ordered groceries for our visit, but the store didn't have eggs. Allaup's did--and they were actually cheaper than what the grocery store was selling them for. This is March 2025, and eggs are ridiculously expensive now. The eggs at Allsup's were $6.19, while the Walmart brand were $7. They had plenty of other groceries, from fresh produce to breakfast cereal. We come to Taos often enough that Allsup's will now be our grocery stop when we come through

The A.M. "manager" Alberta, is in need of some training. She discriminates in blatant disregard of…read more1967 Civil Rights Act. She also regularly makes false police reports. She accused a customer of not paying for milk that was in her bag. Calling the person a shoplifter. Alberta was then shown the milk in question wasn't a brand that allsups even sold. Instead of apologizing she told the women to leave because she was asking ppl outside for money and if she didn't leave then and there she would call the police. I was in the store and had purchased coffee and a burrito. The store next door hadn't opened yet and I asked the clerk when they opened. She didn't know. Ok I walked out and a woman ik was also leaving. She told me she had just got into a shelter. I enquired as to her kids well being and he was good. That was that and we said goodbye. I noticed my hands were dirty and walked back into the store where Alberta informed me that I was panhandling and she was going to call the police if I didn't leave. Now panhandling would mean I was asking for money from a stranger I guess. Since I wasn't doing that and no money was even discussed I believe this to be nother example of Alberta's discrimination while manager of store. If she had called the police it would have been a false police report which I believe is a felony. Go to allsups in the AM and see the fat headed ol racist 5days a week before she gets fired

Stop here every night after work on our way home to Carson. Usually have to fill out water tanks,…read moregas tanks for generators, and fill up my truck. Use the restrooms, let the dog take a break. My wife is handicapped and this last stop after a long day in the car is something my wife anticipated and looks forward to before going home. It usually takes us a little more time than the average customer because of my wife's handicap and all the things we need to get and do to prepare for the next work day and our long commute. We spend thousands of dollars a month here. Unfortunately, not only is our business not appreciated by Speedway staff, but the clerks are down right hostile. Tonight the clerk refused me service including gasoline because he didn't want me in the parking lot anymore. My wife and I had been there maybe ten minutes or less filling our water jugs before I pulled to the gas pumps. I went in to pay for gas and get some other items and the clerk aggressively stated he wasn't going to sell me gas because I had been there to long. ?????? Corporate is going to get letter. I have had enough bad service , bad attitudes, and complete rudeness by the employees the operate this store. Corporate is going to get a letter, a video clip of the inappropriateness of the employees towards a 63 year old handicapped woman who can barely walk unassisted. Enough is enough.

Thanks again Yelpers for your reviews, they really help when you're from out of town…read more Great food and good prices. Burgers were the best we've had in a long time. Almost too big to finish, but we did, didn't want to waste a morsel. Will definitely be back the next time we're in town. Catch the pix we posted.

It's a very small but cute restaurant with a tv around the bar so if you want to watch football or…read moreany sporting event you can definitely see it here. The service was good but I feel like they can be more informative, especially to someone new in town. If you're not aware, the burgers do not come with fries. You must order them separately. One thing the server did not mention. All she asked was, fries or onion rings? Now, I do understand we could read the menu, which we did, but most hamburger joints come with a side of fries especially at these prices!!! You're paying between $13-18 a burger, it should come with a side of fries! Now what she also failed to tell us was the amount of French fries that come when you order them. It's a large basket that could be shared between 2-3 people. We ordered three fries plus 1 onion ring. We paid $16.50 for three fries and barely ate through one whole basket! The fries seemed fresh cut but seemed like they had this weird film on the outside. Not sure if it's their oil, or if they didn't fry it at a high enough temperature. What we ordered: - bison burger (medium) : it came out burnt to a crisp. The initial bite wasn't bad but eating it more felt like you had a mouth full of ash. While I can appreciate a good charbroiled or grilled hamburger, it was overly done. Not to mention it was over cooked. There was no seasoning on top of the burnt flavor. It wasn't really edible. - old timer w/cheese (medium): add an additional charge for cheese! This too came out burnt! My daughter could only eat a little as it was too charbroiled/grilled. It too was over cooked and no where near medium. - green chili burger (medium): I had high hopes of this burger as it came with cheese and their infamous New Mexico Green chili! While my patty was not burnt, it was over cooked and it had zero to no seasoning! It came with a green chili mayo which was really good but it still didn't help with the seasoning! The burgers here seem fresh and the beef seems a good quality, but I still believe it's overpriced for what you get! I also understand times are hard and our economy is struggling with prices, but then they need to find other ways to cut prices down without sacrificing quality.
