We…read morehave our vehicle registered for the yearly pass, but wasnt aware we needed to add a dog to the pass, so we had to pay the $3 daily pass per dog with the state park pass per vehicle so just a heads up for everyone who didnt know that. Without the state pass, daily would be $11 plus however many dogs you have with ya daily, so it is definetely worth it to get the yearly instead when you register! Other than that great park and pretty clean, except some people dont pick up after their dog which is really dissapointing, not the parks fault at all. Very large area and lots of water areas where your furry children splash and play! We come mostly because of the waters for our buddy to swim in!

Now, I refuse to return because of the sharp increase in aggressive dogs and owners who refuse to take responsibility. If your dog is attacked and you call the number on the sign, they'll simply say, "We don't take reports for dog parks." I had to track down, serve, and take an owner to court just to get them to pay my dog's medical bills after their dog attacked mine--only for them to try and claim it wasn't their fault. I've also seen many people speed away after their dog attacks another, without even stopping to check if the other dog is okay. Most afternoons and evenings, the crowd tends to drink, get drunk, act belligerent, neglect their dogs, or just be outright rude to others. Sadly, a lot of people here now act with no respect for anyone else.

It's behind a few really large apartment complexes so that ensures it will get action. I went at 3:30 (it's winter now and gets dark at 4:30) and this was a great time to go (right before dark). About a dozen+ dogs were here and same goes for their owners. Large Vs small sides but very few dogs on the small side. A woman said that it's pretty busy in the morning and right before dark but dead during the day. Very clean, dog poop bags provided, and ppl seem cool. So far so good.

There are also benches throughout park plus some dog agility equipment. Important things: There are several trash cans throughout however, the poop bag containers are "bring some to share" meaning there may not be poop bags available all the time. Took my little, crazy puppy there this weekend, and was blown away by all the trees and pathways you could take within the dog park (let alone the full park). As someone that loves to take her dog on long hikes in the middle of nowhere and allow him to run free (when no one is around and there are no leash laws), this park gave me the perfect place to take him when I can't drive a few hours for one of our solitude hikes but I still want him to run free in nature. All the dogs are great, and due to how big the park is, no dog showed signs of being territorial.

Important things: Always watch your dog and know where they are at all times! Always pick up your dogs poop! There is a smaller parking lot across the street from park with a short walk to park. Always keep your dog leashed walking to and from park. Redstone park is extremely busy especially in the summer, the parking lot is small and very busy.

If you want to walk, you can follow the packed sand circling the edge. It does get hot here but the canopies make it doable. There is also water and doggie bags with garbage containers.

The park is all gravel which does make it easier to pick up dog poop but makes it very difficult to walk in. Also if it's very hot out it can burn your dogs feet. A lot of the photos showed water so we thought that the dogs would be able to swim but there was no water today (9/4) and didn't see a way to even access to water. On the plus side, there is a lot of shade and trees and benches to sit. There are also a lot of dog poop bag stations, as well as a porta potty.

The only downfall which we have ran into a time or two when owners decide to bring their big dogs over to the small dog side and think their dogs are well behaved. They had three dogs that would not leave my dog alone and would jump on me and say they are friendly. When I almost fall over because your big dogs jumped on me, they are not well behaved. Some owners shouldn't own dogs if they can't or won't handle them accordingly.
