I did forget to check in, at least on yelp. I was doing my best to land my plane, borrow the…read morecourtesy car from the airport and go visit my dad. I landed on the runway for my first ever visit to this airport even though I lived in the area most of my childhood. I park on the ramp, tie my plane down then go into the FBO. The gentleman behind the counter was very helpful. He provided me with my requested info and I then signed out the courtesy car (a Pontiac Vibe). The car was very clean and ran very well. I drove home visit my dad for a couple hours then back to the airport. I did stop and fill the car with gas. Returned the car and used the restroom before leaving. The restroom was very clean, one of the cleanest I have been in. I then pulled my plane around to the pump (which I was offered assistance, but I declined). Filled my plane and preflighted to head back to HAO. This airport isn't the largest as you do have to back taxi, but it was very clean and 24 hour 100LL. I highly recommend it and I will be back.

We enjoyed the ease of the full hook up, although the hook ups for water are a little spread out, it worked with an extra hose Our big group was happy to stick to the campsites and playground so we did not experience any of the other resort amenities It was fairly empty a few seasonal or year round campers so it was very quiet. We were the noise. If looking for something quiet and natural but still want full hookup this is your spot!

I keep being told the "guy in Texas" which apparently is the owners brother is slow. I have waited this long trying to be patient because I believe in the benefit of doubt after very little effort to rectify and the owner pit of the county I had to leave this review as it seems my money has been kept. I guess they needed the money. I will now never camp here as they lack care and organization.

Ok... so I called tonight to cancel reservations for Maumee state park as I am stuck in Maine with…read moresome auto issues. I was telling Trinity how much we love Maumee state park and will be sad to miss it those dates. I also mentioned that our past experiences were so wonderful at Maumee that every time I go to book a state park close to home it's hard not to gravitate towards what we know and love. Anyway, Trinitys enthusiasm about Salt Fork Park is catching and that will be the next one we visit in July. She told me about all the different types of stays available... the one with a jacuzzi sounds amazing.. :) Anyway, thank you Trinity and I believe that Seth should certainly send you to each park so you can sell them effectively, as you know what you are doing!
