However, when you are treated with kindness and compassion and dignity, it makes it that much easier. When I walked into the office, I was immediately greeted by Daylyn. She was sweet and listened about the negative experience I had at my previous mammogram location. She took the time to listen and really understood how I felt. A truly very special girl she is. After we finished my check in process, she brought me back to a room where I was able to change into my robe. The room was a lovely, peaceful room. The lockers were named with all strong women of history. It was very classy and a very relaxing room unlike my last place that had six chairs pushed up against each other with barely any legroom. Solis showed how much they support women with their actions. Soon, I was taken to the mammogram room by Logan. She was not only kind and compassionate, she asked me questions about who I was as a person and was very interested in hearing my story and sharing her own. When I left the office I realized how much they changed my feeling of having to get a mammogram. Once again, it's my opinion, if you use Solis as your mammogram facility, you will be extremely satisfied on how you're treated, unlike my last experience at another company, which I will never return to. They made me feel like a person that mattered.

I was in, out, and back in my car in 20 minutes from the time I walked into registration. Registration was quick and smooth. I showed up for an appointment yesterday that I had made 2 weeks ago. The greeting at the front desk was "you're late". I apologized for being 5 minutes late but I was told I was 35 minutes late. The email that I had received from their scheduling department was for 2:30 but according to what they had in the system, I was supposed to be there at 2. Before I could show the girl at the front desk my email with my appointment time, she got up and walked away and got on her cell phone. She came back a couple minutes later and said she was sorry that they would have to reschedule me. I was scheduled at 2:30 at the Weston location to get contrast for my CT arthrogram scan that would be 30 minutes later at another location 5 miles away. She told me the tech left at 4 and wouldn't be able to stay an extra 30 minutes to do my scan. I kindly explained that I had not only taken half a day from work and lost pay, driven an hour and 30 minutes from Homestead, and was on a regimen of medication that was prescribed to me in order to facilitate the scan since I have an allergy to iodine (which the meds were giving me horrible side effects as it was) which made the situation that much worse for me. I was given the wrong appointment time by their scheduling department and they didn't want to fix the problem? That doesn't seem right to me. The stress of knowing for 2 weeks that I was going to be injected with something that could potentially put me into anaphylactic shock, the terrible side effects of the meds I was experiencing, the hour and thirty minute drive there, the loss of wages from taking time from work, the loss of wages from my wife taking time from work to be with me in case I had any allergic reaction, was not enough to remedy the situation. The solution, "sorry, you'll have to reschedule". I walked out extremely upset and received a phone call 2 minutes later from the diagnostic center where the scan was supposed to be done. I explained the situation and the girl told me " hang on, give me a couple minutes and let me see if there is anything I can do". I waited in my car for an hour for a phone call resolving the issue and never received one. Then I drove back in almost 2 hours of traffic with no scan and no resolution. What low quality service. There was no resolution for my issue or anything even offered or anyone to even talk to. Akumin should be ashamed at how they treated this situation and treated me as a patient who is paying for a service. I know they don't care and nothing will be done, but I wanted to share my experience with the community. I will be posting this everywhere including all social media outlets, and I will post this review on all platforms and file a complaint with the BBB, as well as write a formal complaint to my health insurance company. The fabric of our society has been compromised by poorly run businesses and people who simply don't care. It is sad to see how Akumin handled this situation and I hope they don't treat other people the way I was treated. When a company can't take ownership for something they messed up on and they make the patient suffer and waste their time and hard earned money shows that they do not have their priorities in order. How absolutely embarrassing.
