I had to get an ultrasound done and this place was recommended for that. I made an appointment quickly over the phone. I walked in and was greeted by the girls in the front. The ultrasound tech was nice. She had a student trainer with her and after she was done with my ultrasound she asked if the student could practice definitely felt like a guinea pig moment lol but I understand hands- on learning is one of the best ways to learn. It was harmless and painless. The one thing I did not like was the gentleman in the front. Everytime a patient/ customer asked him a question he had an attitude. After an extremely poor experience a year ago which included an hour long wait and refusing to perform my doctor prescribed ultrasound, I left the facility without having my procedure done. This year I gave them a second chance, and it was just as disappointing. I arrived at my appointment 15 minutes early as they requested. They made me redo paperwork that I had already filled out twice before; had me sign paperwork regarding costly penalties if I'm the event of arriving late to my appointment or missing an appointment. When I finally was called upon I was made to sit in a small and very cramped room with five other women for 35 minutes. We sat extremely and uncomfortably cramped next to each other. At least two of the women were speaking loudly on their cell phones making it an even more annoying and anxiety filled experience. Mammograms are an essential breast cancer screening tool. Compassion and dignity are critical traits from the providers staff during a mammogram and helps alleviate anxiety, and foster the trust necessary for a woman to return for annual screenings. Respectful patient care ensures a better experience both physically and emotionally. A large number of women experience emotional distress and vulnerability during mammograms. Compassionate health care providers who listen and acknowledge these feelings help the patient. Stressful environments heighten a patient's anxiety including mine. When I feel seen, respected, and heard, there is less stress, fear, anxiety, and I am more likely to return for follow-ups Showing dignity means respecting a woman's modesty, which did not happen on my visit. I want to feel that my appointment is empowering rather than intimidating. I ask for Respect, comfort, modesty, and privacy. Additionally, calm, respectful environment is paramount. Things I did not feel nor experience during my visit and once again, I left the facility without having my mammogram conducted. read more

The medical staff is wonderful and I have nothing but good things to say about them and the front desk staff is also lovely. The office practices are horrible and they have some shady bill procedures. They billed my insurance for a code that meant I consulted with a doctor and asked questions and reviewed my health history which never happened. I never saw a doctor at this facility and was required to pay them a copay as if I had. They have no patient portal and if you want a copy of your report or images, they won't mail it to you and they won't email or mail you a report. You have to physically go there which is extremely inconvenience especially when you don't live or work in the area. I could overlook the inconvenience but the shady billing is unacceptable. Calling in to make the appointment was simple and easy. The office is in a strip mall of sorts directly next to a Publix. The office was very clean and the girl at the front desk was very nice. She scanned my id and insurance card quickly and I was on my way. I did have 3 papers to sign at check in. I arrived at 9:40 and had a 10:00 appointment. I was called in at 10:01. You cant beat that. I was impressed about them adhering to my appointment time. Vanessa, the ultrasound tech was very sweet. She helped me get into all the positions necessary for the exam. Beware of Pembroke Pink charging you for tests your insurance covers. This is my doctor's preferred vendor and the medical staff is great. HOWEVER, this is the THIRD time they have told me that my breast ultrasound was not covered under my insurance and charged me almost $500. The first time, I questioned it but believed them. Several months later, I was searching for something else in my insurance records and saw that it HAD been paid and within 3 days of the test. They NEVER reimbursed me. I had to fight to get my money back because several months had passed. Finally I did after I threatened filing a formal complaint for insurance fraud. Second time, told me again that it wouldn't be covered and said I needed to pay. I told them my insurance did cover it, but they refused to let me have the ultrasound without paying upfront first. A week later, checked my insurance and it was paid. I did get reimbursed AFTER I notified and had to PROVE it was paid. Now last week, I went again. Told again, my insurance didn't cover it. I told them it did, but again was told I had to pay or couldn't have the ultrasound. Once again it has been paid by my insurance. So while the staff is great, their billing department is a bunch of frauds who try to scam patients into paying for tests that are covered by insurance. If you go here and are forced to pay for a test, be sure to check your insurance later to see if they paid it. Because if they did, Pembroke Pink will NOT reimburse you on their own. read more

This review is solely related to the deceptive billing practices employed by Pembroke Pink/TopLine Imaging. I visited Pembroke Pink in December 2024 and a second time in 2025. At the time of the initial visit, Pembroke Pink insisted I had a copay of over $400. They were wrong. The visit was completely covered by my insurance. It has now been over 3 months and they keep delaying the refund arguing that the second claim is still pending. However, they shouldn't have charged me the money in the first place. I contacted their billing department over 7 times and their billing manager Ingrid. The billing department gave excuse after excuse and Ingrid never bothered to return my call. I highly recommend for anyone considering this provider to find someone else. They will wrongfully charge you and then employ dilatory tactics to refund the money. read more

I had my first mammogram! This a big deal because it's something I've been dreading for years. One of the many inconveniences of being a woman. I've heard so many negative things about mammograms. They are painful. The machines flatten your breasts like a pancake. No wonder why most women like myself are so terrified to get them! This was not my experience at all at Pembroke Pink Imaging. After a short wait in the waiting room, I was brought to a clean changing room where I was asked to leave on my bottom and only remove my bra and shirt. In the changing room were nice and comfortable white robes to choose from to wear into the exam room. My imaging specialist Christine was very sweet and allowed me to feel supported and comfortable during the exam. There was no pain. The entire appointment from walk in to leaving took only about 30 mins. As I was leaving, Christine said pass the word along to remind women to get their annual mammogram once a year. We have to get rid of the stigma. I told her if all mammograms were as good as the ones they do at Pembroke Pink Imaging, there would be no stigma! Pro tip: Don't wear any lotions, oils, perfumes or deodorant to your mammogram appointment. read more

1/22/2019 - Arrived at the office to a $282.45 bill. Apparently their benefits department called my insurance and this is what they were told. Now, I know that in the past I have been here and the same services were 100% covered. I asked the front desk if the services were not covered as preventative by my insurance. She said no. So, I paid....with my checking account money, not a credit card. I was still puzzled by this the next day. I called my insurance today and they confirmed that my benefits are non-standards, covered in network at 100%. I called their billing office and spoke to Ronny, long story short, she tells me that because they bill differently this is what happened. I called my insurance again and they called their billing office themselves and spoke to Natalie. Guess what? it is covered 100% based on the codes they billed. But, of course, I am out of the money and have to wait until they file a claim. So that's 30 or more days! This is the first time I have ever called my insurance company to deal with a problem like this. This is absolutely unacceptable. I will update once I am REFUNDED MY MONEY! read more

This is absurd for an appointment. It is a routine exam. I left a message regarding my prescription and no one called me back. This was 3 weeks ago. Ok I don't normally post where I go to the Dr however this is sooooooo important to know! I slacked off I'm getting my mammogram for a few years and my doctor sent me to Pembroke pink. As much as I dread it going and I hated the thought of even going I went and I really enjoyed my experience. Ladies it's not that difficult! They even have water, coffee and tea available. I arrived a few minutes before my appointment signed in sat down in about five minutes later I was called to the back taken to a nice changing room where you put on a big white robe take off your top and bra put them in a locker keep your key and can bring your purse etc. and then wait in a private waiting room and then waited my turn literally three minutes. The entire process took about 15 minutes I was in and out of there so fast I started wondering what I was dreading in the first place. I have to go back again that's not always the best news however I just wanted to put it out there for anyone else who is putting it off like I did just go it was painless easy they were very nice and made me feel very comfortable don't put it off! read more

I have been here a few times and every time I have been seen very quickly. Never spent longer than an hour. There is a waiting room, then a following room once changed. Both rooms I've never waited long in. The staff is all pleasant from calling and speaking over the phone, the front desk, ultrasound techs, and doctors. It is a very sensitive place to go to and have always been treated well. Changing rooms and bathrooms are all very neat and clean. I have been going to this facility for over a decade now. The medical staff I've encountered throughout my experiences have been kind, efficient and knowledgeable. The staff rightful prides themselves in getting you in and out on a timely basis. However, an area that each patient needs to be on top of is billing. This facility will take your "co pay" up front. They are suppose to verify benefits and then take what is expected to be your portion of the fees. On most occasions, this facility has overbilled me upfront. After receiving my explanation of benefits (EOB) I've had to go back and ask for a refund-a substantial percentage of the allowable/contractual amount for the services. An example is a recent mammogram upfront taken was $374. My portion was only $60 after insurance. That's a 84% overbilling of services to my personal credit card. I'm due a substantial refund and now I'm told I have to wait till the billing for a second procedure done nearly 6 weeks after the initial mamogram (upfront-$900+) is processed BEFORE I can get my refund for the first procedure. It's a cash flow game and if you don't reach out to them and claim your overpayments, it will sit in their bank accounts. I've always had to be the one to initiate a refund with Pembroke Pink-even though it is claimed that they will 'eventually' see it and refund me. For how long is it fair to hold someone else's money? Understand your benefits and stay on top of billing! read more
