We had been left in a bad situation by another contractor and really took our time interviewing contractors to pick up and finish this job. Steve and his wife came out and made it very clear that they really care about doing a good job for their clients and take pride in their work. I appreciated that the same four guys I met the first day they started were the same guys working every day until the end. They showed up early and stayed late when necessary. I had a long list of the ways I wanted things done and they made it happen! We even had a vacation where we were gone during a week of the project and never felt like work slowed down or lost any quality. It's such a breath of fresh air to have people who do what they say they're going to do! The end product is amazing and we cannot say enough good things about how it turned out! We had our entire backyard graded for drainage, French drains installed, a custom designed deck built around a buried above-ground pool, and concrete pavers laid for a patio and walkway. We had already picked out the materials for our deck before hiring Steve, which needed specific skills and tools, which he and his crew were happy to accommodate. In addition, the wood we chose reacted to the first rain after installation by buckling in a few areas. Steve came out and fixed those spots with assurances that he would be back if any more needed it. We've had a couple more rainy days and it's holding firm. We all knew that choosing a wood that none of us had experience with would be a learning process and Steve was great with it!

From the very beginning they rush you, make you sign something to only work with them (sketchy, red flag) and then they do mediocre work. They're going to take advantage of you and your home when you're in an emergency type situation. As immoral as they come. They messed up my bathroom tile, then made me feel bad when I asked them to do it right. As if I was asking too much when they didn't do it right in the first place? They also installed a random circular silver drain in the shower, when I asked for and ordered a square gold drain. Hello? The owner, Michael, simply chalked it up to "hiring workers that don't speak English." If that doesn't tell you all you need to know... The attention to detail and doing a decent, not even good, job is just not there. They didn't finish caulking behind the toilet or on top of the counter. They scratched the paint off of 3 doors, and refused to compensate or correct. They got dirt all over the walls and even got paint on my front door and hallway tile. They littered cigarette butts and a giant sponge (???) in my front yard. They left an entire garbage can of trash in my front yard. They even messed up my garage door, when that is an area of the house they were NOT authorized to do ANY work in. Who knows where else they were messing around while I wasn't home? When I asked them to remove the master toilet, I specifically and repeatedly asked them to cover the hole in the ground. When I arrived home two days later, I walked in to find the sewage hole completely gaping open, releasing toxic sewage fumes into my home and bedroom. Unbelievably thoughtless, careless, and downright hazardous/dangerous. They started trying to charge us hundreds of dollars at the end for things we already discussed, and then when we tried to talk to the owner, he basically said he'd just hand us over to his lawyer. He knows he is taking advantage of us, so he didn't want to discuss the money details with us. You can see in the attached videos/photos that they also threaten to take legal action against us, should we post an honest review. They don't have any basis to do so, but just want to scare customers into silence. That's why they don't have any other bad reviews on here. It's too late for me, but please, save yourself. Find another company.

We have worked with Rafter P on several projects since 2018. They built a large shop for my…read morehusband's car hobby/addiction that was completely custom & it came out exactly as he wanted. We had a neighbor who did not like the idea of the shop going in on our property and made the process really unpleasant, but Rafter P worked with us every step of the way, even when we made last minute changes to appease the neighbor. Rafter P also poured a gorgeous new driveway for us that leads to the house and new shop. I wanted it stamped and stained, and they let me customize the entire thing. The picture I attached is our new farm equipment barn on another property. I cannot stress how accommodating Rafter P has been during the entire process. They go above and beyond taking care of their customers and their customers' property. Once this shop is done, they will be building a custom cabin for us on the same property. I literally show them my Pinterest daydreams, and they make it all happen. During all of this, we had a water line break during the last freeze at our home & a plumber had to cut into our daughter's bathroom to repair it. We asked Rafter P if they could come out to do repairs & within 2 days they were at work. They are doing work for us at 2 job sites simultaneously without hesitation. We have worked with so many contractors in the past & not one has been so accommodating, friendly, or accessible. I haven't even mentioned the quality of their work. Impeccable. And if anything they install is faulty or not quite right, they will make it right and will not waste time getting things done. If you want friendly, respectful, straightforward communication, honesty, timeliness, and incredible results, this is the place. It is an absolute pleasure working with Rafter P!
