The kitchen was stocked with everything that you need to make a meal (including various spices!) A basket of personal care essentials are provided in case you forget anything. Having 2 full bathrooms was so convenient as we had another couple staying with us. The beds were luxurious! Karen and Steve have ensured that their Villa will be your home away from home and a welcoming place to come back to after a busy day of shopping, eating and spending time in the sun and on the beach in beautiful Hilton Head, SC. First of all, the key pick up location is extremely inconvenient and out of the way, and on the side of the main highway....so good luck pulling out safely and not waiting half the afternoon. The gate and building door require a fob, but you only get one fob per unit. So if you have multiple people who may be doing different things during the day...good luck getting back in. When we got into the unit it was dirty, crap all over the carpets (not vacuumed) and dusty. Clearly nobody had been in the unit for a while as the water came out with air bubbles and rusty in two of the three sinks. Morning #1: just wanted a cup of coffee. Opened the coffee maker top to find moldy grounds from the last visitors- great job cleaning team! They brought us a new coffee pot later in the day fortunately, but they failed to let us know they were entering our unit after they said they would be calling first. Overall not impressed, will be going back to the previous rental groups we've used in the past.

One plus was the room we stayed in, the we could see the ocean. That was nice. Since these rooms are owned by individuals what you get is a lottery. We didn't get the best room but not the worst. It was remodeled with the lowest level of materials possible. The furnishing looked like they came from second-hand stores or possibly Goodwill. There was one elevator for the whole complex if you wanted to go to the beach with all your stuff you hauled it down three flights of stairs. They have restaurants on the property but what I found odd or perhaps I never could find it was breakfast being served. Lunch, dinner, and burgers and pizza. Some positives, the fridge was cold, the icemaker worked like a champ, the hot water was hot and the AC was cold. I stayed 5 or six days depending on how you count. I never learned the light switches. It was like some madman laid them out and logic was non-existent. My favorite was the bathroom light and the fan was in the hallway. Go to turn on the hall lights and the bathroom fan came on. Oops, wrong switch.

It's pretty disappointing to spend this kind of money to come to HHI only to sleep on cheap, crappy mattresses for an entire week. The furniture in the living room wasn't much better. The furniture was worn and uncomfortable. The kitchen didn't even have coffee filters in it. These owners definitely need to do better. Treat your guests with more respect than the Goodwill furniture you clearly have in this otherwise nice unit. I only gave it the 3 starts that I did because of all of the memories we have here, the nice views and the pool. The unit itself was disappointing.

Marriott gives out lots of money for people to listen. We received $250 this time and we can use it here at the resort or at many golf courses and restaurants. It's different at each resort and being an owner is not for everyone!!!

Probably not a good idea to seek in rain or after dark. Expect congestion and congested parking - Great for locals, but a Learning Curve must be mastered....
