voa is just another farce of a company that uses the poor & disabled to gain money!!! i have lived…read moreat their denver's 9900 east girard property for over 10 years bcuz i have no other living options. in 2016, they were forced by hud to put into the apartment lease that no residents could smoke anything in their units. however, i have been writing complaints for 10 plus years now and i now have asthma & other breathing problems caused from second hand smoke. i have even given them a doctors note about the health problems i have incurred from the second hand smoke that were blatantly ignored by voa staff for 10 plus years. i am seeking an attorney to sue over this issue. they do not care about non-smoking people. they only cater to those that smoke the dangerous nicotine products. and hud is also in on it because it's hud's lease they blatantly ignore along with my health problems that they are all liable for. volunteers of america hire poorly educated persons and they pay rotten wages. it is a top heavy organization only out to take federal monies for the poor & disabled that they serve violating hud's federal lease but taking in the money while making me sick.

Worthless organization. I was given their contact information by Englewood…read more Municipal Courts to seek help in un-condemning my house, the person I spoke to Arthur Knoer stated that he was uninterested in taking the job because it was "too big" for them. I simply needed help clearing the yard of large heavy items, as I am alone in this and my father is not physically able to assist me in cleaning up his mess. It took 6 phone calls and messages for Arthur Knoer to contact me back and when he finally did was a total jerk on the phone insinuating that I was wasting his time with such a trivial matter, and offered no alternative solution stating "it shouldn't take too long for me to do it by myself, maybe a week if I put my mind to it.". I will not propose to know everything about this organization, but if the office run by this individual is anything to go by they are a worthless group and should be brought before a court that will disband them and prevent them from ever forming again. If there was a negative star option it still would not be enough to impress upon you how horrible I feel knowing that not even Volunteers of America (who are there to HELP THOSE IN NEED) will help me in my time of need. VOA you are bad people and you should feel bad that you cannot live up to your own namesake. If any of you need help from an outside source for anything DO NOT contact these scammers, they will give you hope then rip it out from under you leaving you in a worse position than you were before you called them. -5 stars if I could.

If i could give this place a negative number i would. On October 15, my dog was scheduled to have…read morea full exam. While i was driving there, i get a message stating dr ryan had to leave due to him being sick. This was unacceptable. Why wasn't my appt rescheduled in advance? Why didn't the doc call out. And to wait until last minute? come on now. So he took the dog back and did exam and gave the due vaccinations. Everything was fine, right? No, get the dog home and a day or two later i notice lymph nodes on neck were swollen. I get a text from the hospital asking if everything was ok, and i asked them if they checked the lymph nodes. I could not get direct answer to my yes or no question and was advised the original doctor was not in. I set up another appt for my dog to be seen. On Tues Oct 25. The receptionist lady immediately says to bring him over to the scale, we weigh him and then i get brought into a room. she asks what is wrong and i advise, she stops me and says i will let you tell the tech. Why'd you ask whats wrong then? I then tell the tech, he takes the dog back to be seen by doc rickard, they bring the dog back to me, i sit and wait a few minutes, doc rickard comes in and rubs her hands up and down the dog real quick, says he has swollen lymph nodes and would be best to get a biopsy. Immediately starts talking about chemo treatments and keeps referring to it "being very expensive though". like it was out of my price range. Where was the empathy in this situation? There was none - all she cared about was talking money. Then she said she will be back to discuss. Um no, the tech came back to discuss the payment for the day. Where was the care instructions for the pet until results came back? paid for the work done for the day - mind you it was just shy of $100 for a 3 second rub down on the dog and they called that an office visit. I called to Get the results back on Thursday Oct 27 and my dog has lymphoma. But guess what they want to discuss - yup you got it - money, chemo. but again - doc rickard talks to me like "but it can be upwards to $15000" and with no empathy. If you want to have someone who cares for the patients that they are seeing - do NOT take them here. They only want to discuss money and your options for care, which again, brings them money. Doc Ryan and Doc Rickard suck in my opinion and they are horrible care givers to pets. I stopped all treatment at this VCA and took my dog to Seven Hills in Aurora where he received much much better care. and we were talked to like individuals and you can tell each one in there cared for the animal you were brinigng in. I observed many coming and going while i was waiting to be seen. Needless to say, my dog deteriorated rapidly due the lack of treatment at that initial exam. We weren't able to start treatment and my dog could not recover in time. So I had to put my dog down last night. Thanks VCA southeast area. You suck. (only the one on Iliff and these doctors). I literally hate you.
