So the fucktards at oil change shop on 7th and oak screwed up my windshield wiper!!! Dip shits when cleaning windshield somehow got the driver side wiper under the hood when they closed it!!! When I came out after paying they were fumbling with the hood as it wasn't closing tight! Another guy came out and slammed it down.... I didn't realize anything was wrong until I tried to wash my windshield and my wipers weren't working... my windshield was all wet, can't see now driving down 19th in the dark! Pulled off at Lowe's to discover my wiper inside my hood at a 90 degree angle... I think it got bent at the connector to wiper motor! I highly recommend you do not go here! read more

Got all the way home before realizing they failed to secure the strike plate back, so I drug it 20 miles home. if they fail to catch the basic stuff makes me question the major stuff. I have been coming to Lube Alley for over 15+. BUT, my last several oil changes (multiple cars) have been a terrible experience. Today I brought our Subaru in for a simple change. 1.5 hr total time! ONE hour in line, and .5 hr in the bay. 6-7 guys on duty. Most were just hanging out and not doing work. Then when I thought the car in front of mine was going to move out, they had let a delivery truck block his exit. 15 min later, the finished car moved. The employees had zero motivation to 'get the job done'. Sadly, this was my last visit to give them a chance (after 15+ years as a customer). That said, since my [above] initial review [posted], the Operations Manager reached out to me to discuss directly my experience with their business. He listened patiently and expressed appreciation for our discussion. I believe that our conversation will ultimately benefit both his business and their customers. Too often businesses today do not care about individual customer experiences. His phone call proves that Lube Alley wants to be the best. read more

I've taken my vehicle here several times over the past year or so, & while the price seemed high, I felt their service was good. This most recent oil change a few days ago is my last! First off, it's $80+. Secondly, I mentioned my Tire Pressure Monitor light was on, & since they have a checklist of items they look at while doing an oil change, I felt confident they would take care of it. I had a good experience, as usual; they do seem professional & responsive--however, I noticed when I got home that the TPM light was still on, & that they didn't even bother to give me a window sticker so I'd be reminded of when my next oil change should be! That literally is the first time in the history of me getting an oil change anywhere that this has happened! So I went back the next day & asked for a sticker, which I got--& then I asked about the TPM light...& got no response! No offer to simply check the tire pressure to see if that was it, or if I had a bad sensor--in tires purchased in April. When I left & looked at their "checklist" again, just seeing a check mark next to "tires" made me wonder what else they didn't do...& the check mark next to "wipers"?! My rear wiper is shredded, & they never said a word... Here's the kicker: I made an appt. with Sam's Club in Billings because I bought the tires there & needed to rotate them. That was today, 10/22/21. I drove my vehicle from Bozeman to Billings, & my gas mileage was awful--right after an oil change?! Had to be the tires, right? Sam's checked my TPM & all 4 tires had been inflated to 40!! My vehicle's tire inflation is always 33!! It's a wonder I was able to drive around on them for a few days without a more serious issue. No more adventures with Lube Alley in Bozeman for me: They should have checked my tires' pressure when I brought the vehicle back by with the TPM light still on! read more

I'm sorry to post this because these people were really nice, but they stripped the living daylights out of my drain plug. I usually just change my own oil but was on a road trip, and the next time I went to change it, my drain plug was perfectly rounded. I wish I had taken a photo, but it is destroyed now after removing it with a bolt extractor socket kit I had to purchase. Lube alley, please be careful! EDIT: Like I said above, super nice people. I had a strange smell and asked them to change the air filter but they found a rat's nest. I've had my car serviced at least twice and they never solved it or found the problem. Kind of bummed. Called the morning of and asked the price of an oil change and gave the details about my car. I was quoted $60, drove half an hour and waited an hour for the oil change itself. When I went to pay it was actually $80. $80 for an oil change?? I could have gone to the dealership if I wanted to be ripped off. When I brought it up to the lady she just said I was misquoted. I've gone here many times. The staff is friendly, but I don't feel they actually do a full check with fluids as I recently found out. It's best to occasionally go to your car dealer for complete service. They said they checked brake fluids and transmission fluids which I paid for, but a few weeks later I went in for repairs at my Car Dealer and Tranny fluid was really bad and brake fluid needed draining too. Lube Alley didn't mention any of this when we were there not long before. I feel they rush through and don't do a through checking. I'm dissapointed and will probably go elsewhere. read more

Was on a road trip and found this place on yelp. Had perfect reviews so I figured I'd try it. There were two cars ahead of me and it moved quickly. They pulled the car into the bay and began the oil change. Part of their service was to top off fluids and check tires. They took about 15 minutes. The bill for synthetic oil was $93.44. Ouch. Perhaps that was my fault for not asking how much it would be before they started. But at the dealership I could have gotten my car serviced for $65 and that would include a tire rotation. Okay, spilt milk. I pull out and noticed my tire indicator light was on. I needed gas anyways so I pulled into the gas station next door. According to Toyota, tire pressure was supposed to be at 35lbs (inside the drivers door). I was at 30/30/27/22. I filled my tires. On the receipt it says they "checked " the tires. I wonder what exactly they checked it for. On my way back to California the next day and as I was just getting out of Idaho, I ran out of wiper fluid. The receipt said they filled it, perhaps they filled it with air. My last service 6 months prior, I had not gone through it. This is really a $35 oil change that they over charge you for. Not exactly sure what was or wasn't done. Wouldn't be surprised if they forgot to change the oil and filter. read more

First time using Lube Alley. Paid for a synthetic diesel service and I requested twice to 2 different employees that they check and top off my other fluids knowing my coolant was at the add mark and power steering was low. Drove 1/2 mile and power steering started whining, I checked it and it was still at the add mark along with the coolant still being at the add mark. The manager insists she watched them check it, she obviously did not. Would not recommend them they just mark that all your fluids are good with out actually checking/topping them off. Very disappointed and now I wonder if they even put the correct weight of oil in. read more

Had a great experience here at Lube Alley. It was a short wait to get our vehicle taken care of. I think it was about 10 minute or so and our vehicle took about 25 mins to change he oil and the lube in the axles (we have a 4x4). The service was friendly and quick, the prices were reasonable and they even cleaned our windshield and vacuumed the car! I went in for an oil change and left about 2 hours later. Why? They suggested a radiator flush after the oil change so I went for it. After they finished there were issues with the thermostat, not their doing as far as I can tell. Many employees stayed even after they closed for the night and they didn't even charge us for it. I would defiantly not recommend this place. All the people working in the shop were goofing around and screening. Sounded more like a frat party than a professional establishment. When they pulled my car in they joked around and slammed on the breaks for some reason. The girls were just gossiping instead of working. Took twice as long as they told me because they were all half way working. If I were the owner of this place I would be pissed. Not trusting these people with my vehicle ever again. This place is terrible! I had my oil changed here for a year. Then when I moved nobody would touch my car to change the oil. Why? They stripped the plug then put an oversized plug in there. Now I have to take it to a mechanic to get a new oil pan. $485.00 I got quoted. I called lube alley to tell them. They didn't care. They blamed it on everything they could. I was on my way out of town to Colorado when my car overheated all of a sudden. I happened to pull over right next door to Lube Alley and went in and asked if Joe would mind taking a look at the car and maybe pointing me in the right direction on how to fix it. He gladly walked out with me and found that a hose had come completely off of the radiator, and offered to put it back on for me. Instead of charging me for the work that he had done, he gave me a couple of pointers on what to do if I ever notice anything like it happening again during the drive down. They are always super helpful when it comes to things they are not equipped to do. For example I had a slow leak in my tire and they found the hole for me and marked off where it was. One time they changed out my headlight free of charge because I do business with them. Highly reccommend! read more

A true delight to find a local business that has CUSTOMER SATISFACTION at the core of its being. On June 1, 2016 we had an oil change done here at Lube Alley, Bozeman, MT and we purchased 3 windshield wiper blades. One of the front blades and the back window blade broke. Expecting a "hard" time at this business, we stopped back today. The shop was very busy with many cars waiting for service. We pulled in off to the side and Joe, the manager immediately came out and greeted my husband. He shook my hubby's hand and told him that he was remembered since he wears a combat Purple Heart Hat. Joe apologized for the problem and installed 3 new blades and then thanked us for coming back in. Needless to say we will be using this establishment from now on to get service for our Subaru Forrester.
