This was our first visit and it wasn't a great experience. Food was good, The service sucked. Who ever works there has two kids that run a muck ​thru the restaurant. Waitress never came back to ask if we needed anything. We had to flag someone else to get refills and to get to go boxes. Also we had to find someone to bring us our checks. I've have visited here many times and have always had good tasting meal coupled with nice attentive service. My January 2026 visit was no different. I found the area clean and seen tables bussed fairly quickly. I will say I was extremely taken back by the recent November 2025, health inspection. Again I have never seen a concern outside the kitchen but find the inspection very concerning. Hopefully the owners take ownership of their Yelp listing and begin answering the concerns of myself and a few other patrons. Time will tell. read more

My best bud Adam recommended this place to me. It's right off base and not too difficult to find. The food is absolutely wonderful. It looks bigger from the outside but we were still seated rather quickly on New Year's Day. The prices are beyond fair and the service was phenomenal. Portion sizes are rather large too. Food was decent The issue was Alejandro offered chips or fries with my sub order. Yes the menu states comes with chips but the offer was made. When the check came a $4.50 up charge was added for the fries. When asked he stated fries were extra and he should've mentioned but figured we knew as he'd seen us there before (it was our first time). Luis the owner came over and was adamant that it wasn't listed on the menu but we asked for fries when stated it came with chips. Both owner and waiter were argumentative and unprofessional. Highly recommend asking if anything is offered if there is an up charge because getting it handled was a hassle. I've been here on multiple occasions. Within the past 2 years I've noticed a decline is service and quality. The quality of ingredients have changed to a more "affordable" version based on how things taste now to how they used to taste. They used to have really good burgers, fresh patties- now they use frozen ones and you can definitely taste the difference, and it's not good. The dishes are not very consistent either, many times we've order Alfredo and the sauce is never really quite the same, some times it's more runny other times a bit thicker, each time tasting different. The last few orders we've gotten to go, PLEASE CHECK YOUR ORDER BEFORE YOU LEAVE. I'm not sure what they're doing in the kitchen but the last 3 times I've gotten To Go, my order has been wrong and they completely forgotten dishes. I really doubt I'll be visiting or ordering from here for a while. I'll wait another year and see. read more

My high school graduation class meets once a month for lunch. Since we are all retired scheduling lunch is not a problem. This restaurant is located across the street from the Prince George Cty. Court house. Our server was pleasant when she took our order. This is a nice size restaurant with dining on the left and on the right after you enter the restaurant. The menu is tremendous with all kinds of excellent Italian meals. I ordered the chicken Caesar wrap with chips and could only eat 1/2 of it for lunch. My wife ordered chicken piccata with a salad and could only 1/2 of it. Food is very good. Plan to go back sometime in the future but it is about 40 miles from our home. read more

Food was good. First time trying the Luca's way Schiacciata. If you don't like a lot of sauce on your pizza this is what you should order instead. Drinks were great. I had the Rum runner. Pours were generous on our wines. Our server Alex was attentive. It got really busy and packed for a weeknight. Took a while for our food to come out. Overall better than Rosas in Hopewell. Huge Portions! We ate at Luca's before heading to Ashton Creek Vineyard. Brought my 3 kids (13, 7, 1) and wife around 12:30 PM. We ordered the mozzarella sticks for app. 7 YO got the kids cheese pizza. 13 YO got the pizza roll, wife got the crab and shrimp ravioli, and i got a Large Stromboli. Wife ordered a wife zinfandel to drink for a pre Vineyard drink. We thought the food was good. It wasn't busy, we were seated fast. Had more than one waitress trying to tend to us. More is better than none. Facilities: Clean appearance. Booth tables are not roomie. Very tight. They also play mainstream music, not Italian vibes. Outside is maintain well and parking lot clean. I felt like I wanted to eat here because it was nice. They have Outside seating to but its in the 90°s with humidity. Food: Hot and big portions. Kids pizza could feed 2. We all ate Luca leftovers for dinner. The large Stromboli is like a half a large pizza. Enough pasta for a village.. the sauce tasted like canned tomatoes - no seasoning and watered down by badly drained pasta. Went here on a Friday night and it was pretty busy. Even the takeout area was busy. We were seated immediately. My husband and I live close to here and have been wanting to check it out. The restaurant is pretty big and clean. The tables are separated for COVID. The bread and salad that comes with entrees are plenty. And the entrees itself are large! They're enough to feed two people with leftovers! The chicken parmigiana and chicken Alfredo were very tasty. We will definitely be back again! read more

My family and I were meeting my wife's dad for lunch while visiting Virginia. He presented us with several lunch options and my wife selected Luca Italian Restaurant as we have never been. First of all the restaurant is clean and the staff were very friendly and you could tell they were really doing their best to make sure we had a great dining experience. As an example, we had our two small nieces with us so the waitress was thoughtful enough to bring out their Kid's Chicken Fingers and Fries to help manage the situation. My wife ordered the Chicken Saltimbocca which was served over pasta. I ordered the Antipasto Salad as I'm trying to stay as carb-free as I can. Hard to stay carb-free and eat Italian food, but I'm doing my best. When I finished my salad my wife had one piece of Chicken Saltimbocca left over so I was able to try that as well, it had a great taste, though truth be told it was much more like a Chicken Marsala. Overall, we had a great time and I would definitely be up for another visit next time we are in Virginia visiting family. read more

Great family friendly restaurant with good vibes and foods. My co workers and I had a company outing here and everyone had great time. We were able to get a party room which is secluded from the rest of the restaurant, which kept our event pretty private. The staff were extremely friendly, one of the waitresses even came in to dance to our music and enjoy our festive mood. They were also quick to take our order and facilitate our orders pretty quickly. The facilities were pretty clean and parking was spacious. The food was a 7/10. Portions were pretty big, none of my co workers complained or had anything negative about the quality of food. The price was pretty fair for the quality and size of the food. If you ever plan on having a large group event, I totally recommend trying out Lucas for your venue! read more

Ok, so we've been here once before for dinner and just moved to the area. I had the lasagna last time, which was very good, but I had to try their pizza. We ordered a white pizza and I asked to add some fresh spinach. I'm not sure it was "fresh" but it was ok. The crust, on the other hand, was wonderfully delicious! I've had white pizzas before...you know, no sauce, but most add a little oil on the crust before adding the cheese. The strange thing is, I know it had ricotta cheese but I'm not sure if they put mozzarella on it.... I don't think theirs has any. I think it needs some....at least that would add a little oil because the topping was very dry. I'm not saying it didn't taste good but I've had better. The next one will have either added Alfredo sauce or maybe their vodka sauce for some moisture. All in all I did enjoy it....it was different but that crust....YUM! read more

I ordered thru grub hub one night when I literally couldn't leave the house. I ordered a Philly cheesesteak and calamari. The food was cold on arrival and not to mention someone took a bit out of my sandwich! I was afraid to even try the rest of the food not knowing if it was touched. Ordered take out from this restaurant, which my daughters picked up so I'm not sure about the ambiance of the restaurant. I was not impressed. I ordered the chef's linguine and although the portion was plentiful the taste was not. It tasted like wet pasta with vegetables. Not the garlic and oil as described. It was just a bunch of juice from the veggies in the bottom of the container. My daughters ordered the Chicken Carbonara and they let me taste it and that was really good. The chicken was seasoned well and had a nice breading on it. We also ordered cheesecake-Oreo, coffee and triple chocolate. All of the flavors were good. Given that the total order was $100, I don't know if I would return and try something different on the menu or throw in the towel with the restaurant. I DO know that I won't be spending $100 to eat here again. read more

I have been here several times eating in, and the food is usually pretty good. Ordering pickup has been a mich different story. My wife placed an order through the Yelp app for this restaurant, and the app told her it would be 30 to 50 minutes for the order to be ready, and to look for a notification for when it was ready. The time we expected, it was 12:30 on a Sunday. Around 2:10, we called the number on the app, as we had received no word in any form about the order being ready. The representative contacted the manager, and then told us the manager would come to out to meet us. I do not believe that was the manager, as she not only brought out our food that had been sitting for over 20 minutes, but she tried to encourage us to leave with the food. When we pressed for details about the freshness, she did not know, and the only information she gave us that they 'didn't turn on notification for the order because Grub Hub usually comes in and waits for pick up. We were not Grub Hub, we did not use Grub Hub. We placed the order through the app provided by Yelp apparently on the Maps app on the phone. I mentioned specifically about the the Panini my wife ordered being good only when fresh, so the server took the whole order back in to 'See what could be done'. 5 to 10 minutes later she comes out with the food, saying here we go. We get home within 7 minutes, and the panini is stale, cold in the middle, and barely warm on the outside. The fried jalapeño poppers are cold, and the tiramisu is warm on the outside and frozen in the middle. While Stromboli is fine, it can be reheated without sacrificing quality, but the rest was unacceptable. If the server had shown even the slighted bit of concern over the mess up admitted on their end, it wouldn't be so upsetting, but she tried to send cold food, and then successfully sent cold food home with us. Luca has lost our future business and we will be passing this along to several others who frequent Luca in phases. read more

I love and respect that this is a local establishment but the pizza at the Gas Station is better. This place is an amazing local only place for people who only travel one zip code so it clearly meets their taste profile. The lasagna is fairly decent if you do t order to go because they will only give you about 8-10% of a normal serving size. In all, let me state the owners are amazing supporters of the local community and give back for many causes. read more
