Ordered two small pizzas and wings online with ease. I customized both (one with red sauce and the other white sauce). They were both very good! I added spinach and garlic to the white sauce and ate a piece driving home (sshh don't tell). It was soo good. The wings were fine....a little fatty on a few pieces but I really liked the BBQ sauce. A Tale of Two Experiences: Phenomenal Pizza vs. Disappointing Date Night We've driven by Giuseppe's many times, always telling ourselves we needed to stop. We finally pulled the trigger on a whim, ordering a pizza to-go since they offer a 5% discount for online orders. Upon walking in, the atmosphere felt warm and the staff was incredibly friendly. The Pizza (5/5 Stars): The pizza itself was everything we hoped for. The aroma in the car alone was overwhelming. We found the crust to be a perfect blend of savory and sweet with a beautiful, authentic char. The toppings were plentiful and as advertised, though I would personally prefer fresh mushrooms. If I were rating based solely on this takeout experience, it would be a solid 5 stars. The Sit-Down Dinner (2/5 Stars): Hoping for the same magic, we returned on a Friday for date night. We asked to sit in the back by the bar to avoid the crowd out front but the lighting was uncomfortably bright. When we asked our server if it was always that way, she simply shrugged. The beverage and dining experience continued to go downhill: * The Wine: The menu only lists wines by varietal with no brand names. We were mortified when our server brought out Sutter Home and Sycamore Lane, pouring it first into a measuring cup and then into our glasses. * The Food: The jalapeño poppers were standard and piping hot, but nothing special. The salad was fresh, though we ordered Italian dressing and they served creamy Italian. * The Entree: The shrimp and scallop scampi was one of the least appealing presentations I've seen. The seafood was actually cooked to perfection, but it sat atop noodles that seemed to be swimming in plain water rather than a seasoned sauce. It lacked herbs and spices, and when we asked for Parmesan to help with the flavor, we were brought a canister of "shaker cheese" (pre-grated powder) rather than fresh shavings. The Verdict: We will definitely be back for the pizza--it was a winner for us. We do plan to entertain a quick lunch. However, we'll be rethinking Giuseppe's for a sit-down dinner. read more

I had an opportunity to meet some friends for a holiday gathering at Giuseppe's restaurant. When we got there, we were greeted by a wonderful host who was kind and really, really attentive. We were seated immediately and given the choice of areas we wanted to congregate. The server Alejandro was patient and attentive. He allowed us to wait for our additional guest and he brought them back to our table without issue. We decided to order our meals and with anticipation, we waited and chatted. They brought out our salads and they were great. I would recommend trying the house salad dressing because it was really flavorful and not something that you normally obtain. Our meal choices came out piping hot, and they were all very delicious. We all sampled each other dishes and were envious that we did not choose those dishes for ourselves. We decided to take dessert to go because they had so many different options. One person took tiramisu while another person took velvet cake and the last person took cheesecake. Since they have revamped a few years ago they have really upped their game. My kids and I used to only go to brothers the only other pizza place close by but really enjoy going to Giuseppe's now. Their food is so delicious and so far we have not had bad service at the bar area. The bathrooms could use a bit of work during peak time but nothing horrible!! This review will be for a Door Dash order. The review only covers the food itself, and is not affected by the door dash experience. Being in town for an overnight basketball game, I decided to stay in my hotel room and order in. I settled on a couple of pizzas, as when I'm in a new place I like to get two in case one isn't up to snuff. This is why I do that - as my first pizza was very pedestrian. This pizza however was great. Little to no grease - thin crust and thin sauce - just a wholesome pie that reminds me of pizzas from my childhood from local type places. Very good. We have eaten here a lot during the last 4 years of living nearby. Giuseppe's is decent at best, nothing to write home about but nothing to complain about either. In my opinion, it is much better than Joe's steak/seafood just down the street. I wouldn't hesitate to eat here if passing through or if you're staying nearby like me. read more

We went here for dinner at my daughter's request. The restaurant is a cute, typical family-friendly Italian pizza place. We were seated immediately and our server was very nice. My daughter had the chicken alfredo and I had the chicken marsala. Both of our portions were large enough that we each got 2 meals out of it! The salads were fresh and the rolls yummy! We'll definitely be dining here again. And once again, we were too hungry to take pictures of our food. I've GOT to do better with that! read more

We will never go back here to eat. The last time we went there the food was not good. Their food has changed since Covid. It went from great to bad and has never come back. We don't even get takeout anymore. We used to get takeout at least twice a month. But it got to where every time we got it our pizza was burnt and my onion rings were either drenched in grease or burnt slam up. I even called to complain about it but it didn't change. We live literally 7mins away from here and ride by everyday so of course I wanted to try this place out since it stays packed. Everyday. Our first time there it was storming outside so we did a call in order (7/11/22) we ordered fried calamari, Parmesan French fries and giuseppes cheese steak special. Super hungry and excited to try something new. Let's start off with the calamari... thru the bag it had a strong fresh seafood smell! They have a decent amount in the trey with dipping sauce but it lacked flavor of any kind. Next the Parmesan French fries... they smelled pretty good but they were missing something. Salt... idk. But it seemed like they threw Parmesan on hot fries and served it. They weren't bad. Different but not bad. The cheese steak... it was huge in size to start with. Loaded the way he wanted it. First bite... no flavor. Literally. Not an ounce of seasoning. My husband had to end up taking the whole sandwich apart seasoning it just to eat it. Fast forward (7/27/22) yet another storm is coming and we're trying this place again. Fried calamari, pepperoni roll, Stromboli and seafood platter. Same issue with the calamari no flavor. The pepperoni roll which look like a big hot pocket tasted fresh and doughy. I only took one bite. The Stromboli was huge and stuffed with fresh veggies. You could literally smell them. My hubby only had one piece of it and the seafood platter had one large piece of fish, it was suppose to be a crab cake but more like a patty the shrimp were rubbery and the French fries were hot but no salt. I got broccoli in the place of the slaw. The entire seafood platter had no seasoning! No old bay. No salt or pepper. Nothing! The broccoli tasted like it came out a bag. Honestly I'm surprised on how they are open still when the food is lacking flavor. How do you consider this "good" to add insult to injury. I decided to try their cheesecake. I got the brownie cheesecake...just stay away! Cheesecake is suppose to be smooth and have a creamy texture. First bite it was lumpy and that instantly turned me off!! I did how ever eat the brownie that was the ONLY thing from this place that was good and worth eating. We won't be returning I'm going down the street to try Joes steak and seafood hopefully their food is seasoned. read more

I remember eating at Guiseppes when I was just a little girl, when the owners daughters were teenagers! The pizza has never changed. It's as good today as it was 15 years ago! Our favorite pizza place for many years recently closed after the owner passed away. Last night we went to Guiseppes in Dinwiddie, VA. The pizza on their website looked delightful so we were anxious to try it. Could not have been more pleased. Crust was airy and fantastic. Cheese was maxxed out and the quality of all ingredients were top notch. Also, not too much sauce. My only issue was they could have cooked it a little longer but that's just me. I like a crisper crust. Next time I'll ask them to bake it 2 minutes longer. The service was also polite and prompt. We found our new pizza place and will also try the other menu items. read more

I can't remember exactly but I think it was Blackened Chicken Ziti. It was hands down the best blackened chicken or chicken ziti that I've ever had. Highly recommend. Stopped in to check the place out and order some Italian - but for some reason ordered the buffalo chicken wrap instead. Very generous portions, with ingredients fairly in balance - they certainly didn't skimp on the chicken! The buffalo sauce had a bit more bite than I expected, but it was nothing I couldn't handle. My only negative observation was that the feta cheese was in a few large clumps, and I think the flavor would have been more "even" if it was in smaller chunks throughout the wrap to add a contrast to the sauce. Still, very tasty! The fries were seasoned very well and fried to perfection! Our waiter was a little on the inattentive side, fixating on the TV. We didn't mind too much because the restaurant wasn't busy and our drinks never ran completely dry but it caught our attention and made us laugh a little. The restaurant was very clean and had a nice, casual ambience. Overall, a very good experience and would recommend to others. I'll have to come back to actually try some Italian next time! read more

Horrible gross food & definitely not authentic Italian. Our dinners were so bad, we tried to eat them but they were so horrible we sent them back & left. The meat was breaded and dipped in oil & microwaved to look like the bottom of a shoe. The shrimp was raw and rubbery like it also was microwaved. Neither dish was served with linguine like it was supposed to be (it was cheap ordinary plain spaghetti noodles), the sauces were so runny and disgusting. These were the worst plates of food we have been served ever. We used to come here a lot & I dont know what changed, but whatever is is, the owner needs to seriously figure it out. Worst dining experience in a very long time. The waitress tried her best. The lady at the front register was extremely rude & no one seemed to care how horrible the food was. Never going back.
