When I went back through my videos from the day he proposed, you can clearly see the crack. I took it in for repair immediately and they refused to stand behind their work. I explained it had just been sitting in a safe before I got it and that I had proof it was there when he proposed. They still charged me $75 for the repair saying "we would've never let it leave the store that way. It must've gotten smashed in the door of the safe" despite there being no damage consistent with it being crushed or banged on anything. I've lost 2 stones and 2 more cracked. The prongs for the last stone lost were actually broken off completely. Ultimately we ended up having the ring remade by another jeweler so we could improve the quality and avoid dealing with Bass all together.

These signs are EVERYWHERE. Don't touch this, don't handle this on your own, don't pick up candles by the lids. Maybe the owner has a lot of little children in her home that break many of her items and feels the need to post these signs in her store, but it was really just weird. I might have stayed longer and been interested in buying more than I did if it weren't for the constant reprimands I felt I was getting as I walked around the store. It really made me feel young again - like I was 5 that is - and that's not a good thing.

We had the idea to have him find a jeweler to melt it down & if need be, add more to it of course, to make my engagement ring. Nothing too crazy but I thought why not!? Well my boyfriend went in there & long story short, he felt highly uncomfortable, rudely spoken to, disregarded, and literally laughed at. Out loud. As they looked at the necklace, pointed, looked at him & laughed. How absolutely appalling. I wish he had gotten their names. Because that's absolutely disgusting behavior. The first girl tried to claim it was fake. Another guy looked & said no it's real, just a penny worth & hollow. Basically they tried to say it's not even worth using my necklace in anything at all. He explained the whole point of it is to keep it apart of the ring as our sentimental bit, then at some point my bf mentioned his mother, and they recognized her name as a good frequent customer that hasn't been by lately & all of a sudden their attitudes changed! Asinine! Wild. Now he's getting texted some simple rough drafts of what they could do for the idea of style he gave them & the prices. Appalling honestly.
