A visit to Betty White Jewelers always seems to brighten my day because they really care about their customers. They always take a genunine interest in their customers, which helps create a better experience when shopping for jewelery. Their head jeweler, Timothy White is a master at his craft. I mean that. He does many custom pieces of jewerly or metal work in a very detailed fashion. If you can imagine it, Timmy can create it! He does custom engravings, also. Oftentimes, I will find some type of jewelery that I like at another Jewelery store or online, show it to the jeweler, and he will get me a better deal on a simliar item of much higher quality. I really appreciate that personal aspect of this business. For example, I found a pearl ring that I really liked at Zales for about $90. I always had good experiences with Betty White Jewelers in the past, so I sent Timmy an email with a link to the ring to see if he could find me a better deal. Sure enough, he did. He looked diligently for me, and when I did not like the first ring he sent me... he sent me multiple others. He did not stop searching until I was satisfied. I know the business also has many other items for various occasions such as gift items for Mardi Gras krewes, wedding and anniversary gifts, birthstone rings, charm bracelets, glassware... I've seen it all in the store. So for a very perosonable experience where you'll not just be buying jewerly but being cared about by the employees, I reccommend Betty White Jewelers. With the uniqueness of the diamond I wanted, my fiancee met with Mr. Hannon 9 different times to look at different diamonds. Mr. Hannon took the time to scope out and order several diamonds for my fiancee to look at each meeting. He continued to hone in with each visit what my fiancee wanted out of the diamond, and he never complained or got frustrated by how much work was asked of him because he values sentimentality. Mr. Hannon is a man who goes above and beyond for engagement rings because he KNOWS how important they are. To him, it's not just a piece of jewelry, it's a symbol of love and devotion. He recognizes each ring is like each love story, unique and deserving of time, effort, and respect. He worked SO hard to make sure this ring is everything I wanted and more, and I am so grateful he, and my fiancee, gave me such a unique yet simple piece of jewelry that I can wear and cherish every day. We went back to Mr. Hannon for our wedding bands, and he spent the time explaining small intricacies of bands that we didn't even think of (gold type, curved edge versus sharp edge, band thickness and depth, shiny or textured, etc.). He sold us the wedding bands at market price, and provided insurance and free cleanings. He engraves in house with several font options. I was told to wait about 30 minutes, which was fine. When I returned, the watch appeared to be working, and I paid $32.71. The attendant even suggested I take a photo of the receipt because it might fade--but I trusted the service and didn't think I'd need it. Within about an hour, the watch stopped working completely. I went back immediately. This is where things went downhill. The owner was present and, before even inspecting the watch, immediately said the problem was likely the watch itself--not the battery they had just replaced. That made no sense, especially since the watch had been working perfectly beforehand, and I've replaced its battery multiple times over the past 15+ years without any issues. When I calmly pointed this out, the owner became rude, dismissive, and confrontational. He insulted me and even threatened to have me escorted out of the mall. I asked for a refund and my watch back. He refused to refund me and kept blaming me for the issue, offering no real explanation or solution. This was not just poor service--it was unprofessional and disrespectful. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend going elsewhere for even a simple battery replacement.
