We came here to shop and buy the things we needed for our trip to the Air BNB that we were about to head to in Miss. We got everything we needed for great prices. Then, we walked over to the Produce Section to say, "Hello" to my youngest son. He was very busy, so we did not stay long. I am giving this rating because of the way my son was treated. He worked for 19 years here, was always working hard, and went in whenever he was needed. They fired him about a week ago supposedly for not doing something when taking buggies in. I would note that none of the other buggy guys were using this strap all the time. The way he was let go after 19 years was inhumane. They let him work until about 10:30 AM and just called him in and told him he was fired! I would also like to note that when we were shopping there people who know him would always come to tell us what. a great employee he was. Always ready to help anyone who needed him, including the employees there. The management should be ashamed. read more

This was my first visit to a Sam's Club. The selection and amount of merchandise is truly overwhelming and the prices are unbelievably low. I especially liked the prepared dinners you just pop in the oven. The selection of fresh fruits and vegetables is huge. Sam's club is Sam's club...wherever you are......Like this one, they are for the most part well stocked, clean, and have a rotating stock which drives the consumer to buy buy buy. I will however, share the reasons that I go to Sam's club. 1. Can I say it...yes I love the Nathan's hot dogs at the snack stand. If you haven't had the chance to get a snack at Sam's, it sort of feels like the selection you might find a fair or a carnival, but without the horrid Carny prices...a hot dog combo is like $2, the dog is massive and a drink that really is the size of three. They have pizza and soft serve ice cream and I've seen salads in a cold area. You can also buy a fresh pizza and they will cook it for you. 2. Alcohol...in large quantities, for a discounted price. Not much to say about that, except this gal loves a bottle at a bargain. I have noticed they now have a descent wine selection and I often pick up a few bottles to try along with our normal liquor choices. 3. Party supplies.....if you are having a party, you can get everything you need, except the decorations....paper plates, cups, and table clothes, aprons for waiters or Sterno for the buffet table...cheese platters and fruit platters, frozen pastry hors d'oeuvres, artichoke dips and crab legs, cookies and cake, punch and soda, crown royal or a Shiraz, pretty much the works. 4. My Pirate likes to break TVS while watching other highly paid men who can easily afford to buy TVS run around and chase each other. In the last two years I've had to buy five new flat screens and Sam's has come to my rescue each time. I have a great tip, they have a great "previously purchased" section for great prices. I spoke to a young man whom was helping me and he explained that before they are put out for sale, they try everything out to make sure there is no real damage. The downside is that "all sales are final". We bought a larger TV for a discounted price and were very happy with it until a losing Saints game....I highly recommend looking in that section, you might find a really great deal. overall....I like Sam's, shop for what you need, look over what you may like and remember how much storage space you have at home..... read more

I was able to get cheaper gas plus an even greater discount by using my sams credit card! seen as gas is sky rocketing! I was very happy!

Some of the rudest employees ever. Employee yelling at my parents and I after using scan and go that we couldn't pass at a certain place to get out. Now grant it, we waited for a. Us timer to be done checking to pass and asked if we could pass there. She says "No! You have to go around! Members have to get here!" I said "Ma'am we are members." She yells "Go Around!" Then mumbles something inaudible behind her masks. Grant it there are NO signs stating where people can and cannot pass to leave the store. There are ways to talk to people and that is not it. Probably the same cashier that refused to key in the upc for chicken breast at self checkout for my family member and told her she had to cancel her transaction and go in line where there is a cashier. read more

I ordered a cake from the bakery, well first off the woman who helped me was very rude. I went and picked up the cake it was top tear chocolate with buttercream frosting (Gray) with black border and bottom tear white cake with buttercream frosting Gray with black border. I did not get to choose my filling at all mind you so it was filled with buttercream. The cake was nasty , it was not moist at all it was rather dry and it tasted a bit freezer burnt. Needless to say after eating the cake everyone who ate it has had stomach problems those who did not have any were and are fine. Was in the SAM'S at 2174 MLK on December 29, 2014. ~ 40% of the self checkouts were down. ~ 50% of the other checkouts were closed. ~ Checkout Lines backed up all the way to the merchandise. ~ 50% of the soda machines were down. ~ Only condiment at the food court was mayo; straws were still in package on dirty table; tea dispensed only water. ~ Most of store was in "Christmas Past" shambles. ~ No bags in the meat section. ~ At least 5 employees standing around not helping because they were "Off"- I know I asked for help at the self checkout. ~ No one overseeing the self checkout. ~ Christopher needs to step it up a bit. read more

My husband and I were treated very rudely today at this Sam's club. The cashier made the mistake of scanning our twin pack of bread twice. i didn't notice until I was out of the store. My husband went back in to get our money back on the extra charge. The "manager" responded by saying he needed to go and check the cameras to see if the cashier actually scanned it twice, as if we were liars. He walked away. After waiting 10 minutes, my husband asked the CSM to call the manager again. The manager told her that she could just, "let him have it", as if he was giving us something. We spent over $300 there today, and we were treated rudely over their mistake. They were very unapologetic and the whole encounter was ridiculous. I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

If you have a big family it's best to go to SAMs club because they sale thing in the most they can fit on a pallet and there prices are so cheap your can by stuff for a year for $100.00 . read more

overall, the store is always stocked, clean and easily maneuverable. down side i can not stand is the self check out lines. its so annoying to walk up to the self check out line and see people with two buggies full of groceries trying to check out. the sign very clearly states 10 items or less. i feel it needs to be enforced. they were installed for convenience, its no longer convenient when your literally waiting more time in line for check out than what you did shopping. also half the time theres only 2 or 3 registers open even at busy times. at 5pm everyones getting off of work and are normally going do their shopping. at that time you should have more registers open. read more

Most people don't even know that you can get a free hearing test while visiting Sam's Club. Mr. Joe is the gentleman to ask for. He is extremely helpful. He is up-to-date on insurance claims and the process. He is extremely professional and helpful. He will work with your budget and get you what you need. We brought my grandmother for a hearing test (basically against her will-- b/c she didn't think she was hard of hearing.) Turns out she had 98% hearing loss. He spoke with her with respect and took time with her. Our appointment took about two hours from start to finish. He was informative and was a pleasure to work with. read more

I've been to a few and never had any problem before. Upon exiting, the check girl near the door had a problem with the item count before telling me to proceed and she had counted incorrectly before. (Ominous I guess. I should have checked my items right then and there. It would have solved everything.) I was missing something upon returning home. When I went back to check on it, after 1st calling, I ran into someone prancing around and smirking.One point of view is that she thinks herself a lawyer or something. She seemed all too ready to practically pounce and tell me that I had in fact attempted to purchase the item even though that was NOT THE ISSUE. She quite rudely showed me the item on the counter with a picture. I guess this was her new christmas toy. Again- NOT THE ISSUE. I MADE THIS CLEAR EVEN BEFORE SETTING LOOK ON HER FACE!.The issue was not leaving with it. She proceeded the show me a few pictures and kept trying to distract me by pointing out my purse which had nothing to do with it. Then said they proved something that quiet plainly they did not. It appears that the item was put in the buggy, but could not be seen walking out of the door. Why did she tell me they could check on it over the phone, AFTER I told her that I was going to talk to a person who helped me unload the groceries first? There was no picture of the item in my buggy going out of the door. I'm still not sure what the attitude was for. Even if it would have been left in the parking lot, as she said it probably was, why would she seem to get such a kick out of it? She said with the hugest smile they weren't responsible. This gave a creepy vibe. My advice is to vigilantly observe where EVERYTHING you buy goes until you are locked in your car and on your way, or just skip this place altogether. If you try to return FOR ANY REASON, even if you call first, it just gets weird. Was she obsessing over the color of my purse, which she was wrong about? I didn't realize that Sam's had a dress code.
