It's nice to have a trustworthy place to bring my dog for daycare when I run errands or travel, instead of risking him tearing up stuff at home or having to be in the crate at all. I was scared he'd fail his trial since he's not good with people, but he passed and he surprises me with how much he loves everyone. Now when we go in, I feel like I'm the one feeling stressed, and he's the one ready to leave me! He is always happy in the photos they post. Plus I watch the webcams and it's the only place I've been able to watch my cat when we boarded her too. I've had concerns, but haven't felt the need not to come back- we're always seeing subtle changes which tells me they listening to their customers. I only want the best for my furkids and I love that they want the best for them too! read more

I travel for work and for anything over two days I bring my cats here so they don't get too lonely. I love that I can watch them on the cameras. I thought they would have a hard time adjusting to the noise levels but they really seem to enjoy their stay! It's gives me peace of mind knowing they are safe and I can watch them. There seems to have been some major changes and the staff that's there now is AMAZING! The new management has really made some improvements. I moved here during COVID from the west coast and live in apartments nearby. Desperate to find a daycare for my dog to just get out, we came across Lucky and Lady because of the convenience. The staff is so lovely to deal with and they seem to really care. When we come in now, Mikey is pulling on the leash to get inside and always excited to see Shontae. We recently tried out the grooming for the first time and Tiana was awesome!! Will definitely be switching our grooming to them. TERRIBLE PET SERVICE!!!! They do not properly take care of the animals, my dog stayed in their lady suite and I would watch the camera and they will allow my dog to just sit with it poop and pee all day. The pets there are not under good care. They're very unprofessional and they just keep switching up their staff. I miss the old people that used to be in here. I'm not sure if it's because of management change but whoever the manager is they need to get rid of them. I noticed my favorite receptionists Kennel are now gone and I'm confused to why Lucky & Lady is going downhill. I advise all pet parents if you care about your pet. Do not bring them here. Honestly, I understand what we sign ourselves up for from waivers and matted dogs but my experience on 9/14 was horrid... There should be no reason why my pups leg is CUT OPEN WAY PAST just a "nick" ... this is a full fledge OPEN WOUND that is deep enough to fill in spaces with gauze.... She will require wound dressing / filling to heal this crap...... I took her to another grooming spa (WOOFGANG) and COMPLETELY underestimated them. They've done way better in this situation in all honesty because I brought her under the same conditions before..... Not to mention, I could've simply went ELSEWHERE..... AND NOT had my dog rushed in between every appointment when I told the groomer AND the office worker that I could have literally waited to the next day bc I knew the time measures this was going to take... I dropped PHI off at 12:00 pm, and went home..... at freaking 7:30...... I'll take it up to the chin that the person was just not as experienced in my opinion. I will go back to woofgang and not look back.... Unfortunately, I am unhappy and this looks more so like neglect on that part of her leg... not an accidental "nick" ....This is impossible. I noticed my dog has been LIMPING since she returned home and it's scaring / hurting me... After booking my dog online, speaking with someone on the phone, and emailing updated vaccines, I brought my dog in today to be groomed. I was informed at 9am that "my groomer" was running late and there was no ETA, but they would go ahead and take my dog in. At noon, I started to concern about what was taking so long, so I called in to ask for an update. I was informed that it looked like no groomer was assigned to my dog and the best they can do is get him an appointment for tomorrow. I HAD TO CALL TO KNOW MY DOG WAS JUST SITTING IN THE BACK AREA WITH NO PLAN TO GROOM HIM. If I had not called, I can only assume he would have been left there even longer. When I arrive, instead of an apology and de-escalation, they inform me that it was a reservation fault and I must have done it...EVEN THOUGH THEY TOOK THE DOG AND CONFIRMED. On top of all this, when I asked for a manager to discuss a refund for my other dog last weekend, they told me they cannot reach out. This was a pretty solid business back when they were in Inman. This place is now overpriced and has too many groups who don't communicate. Strongly not recommend and will not be going back. read more

I've taken my dog here twice for grooming (bath and blow dry - price depends on the weight of your dog) and once for self-wash ($25). Their location is centrally located with apartments, Publix, movie theater nearby. There are also tons of parking! It's always clean and very inviting. They have everything you need for a self-wash - from shampoo to scrubs to blow dryer for your furry friends. The groomer I particularly love is Amanda. I've only brought my dog to see Amanda twice but she's always been so sweet and pleasant. She always does a good job of washing and taking care of my baby boy. I had to deduct a star because of timeliness issues that I've dealt with both times I've taken my dog here. I always make sure to ask how long service will take, both times have said one hour and that I will get a call or text once my dog is ready to be picked up. They have done either both times I've taken him here, which is quite frustrating especially when you have plans for the day. Another star had to be deducted because they trimmed his nails (which is an extra service and I never mentioned anything to them about getting his nails trimmed). There may have been confusion as he got a bath and blow out plus nail trim the first time I took him here. I just had this nails trimmed at the vet a week prior, so I found this unacceptable. read more

When we walk in the door the employees call our dog by his name and he can't wait to go play. He loves going to daycare multiple times a week and it makes leaving him there so much easier. We had our Australian Shepherd stay for the holidays for 8 days. We are repeat customers to Lucky and Lady. This time we had a very disappointing experience. Unfortunately, I wasn't receiving daily photo updates. I only received photos the day she was dropped off 12/20 and on 12/23. I am disappointed due to no one informing me that the playrooms were still closed upon drop off and the failure to send daily updates. I understand a mass email was sent in Oct/Nov but there was no date of when the playrooms would be open in that email. I believe these are all services that are included in the booking and price of the stay. We booked our dog for a mini groom. Upon further investigation her whole front underside and paws were full of pee. No one told us and we found out as we were driving as she reeked of pee and her fur was light yellow. We spent $759.30 dollars for her stay and for that cost we expect the services to be done as stated and unfortunately that did not happen. I have had a good experiences in the past when taking her for daycare and the staff has always been very kind but it seems that things have gone really downhill at Lucky and Lady. Since the various services and amenities that were promised when booking were not met we should be provided with some reimbursement for her stay and be refunded the grooming since she came home with pee all over her. I went in today to ask about pricing and take a look at the place before bringing my dogs for daycare. When I left, a female employee with short black hair went out the door with me taking a reddish brown golden doodle on a walk around the block. I watched from my car to see what I would see. The young lady kept tugging on the dogs leash for no reason. The dog was walking by her side, yet any slight head movement by the dog resulted in a very harsh tug, practically lifting this dog off its front feet. The poor dog was not pulling and was a dream compared to walking with mine. I do not believe this lady was trying to "train" the dog, as anyone who knows about training knows that tugging on a leash is not the proper way. I would not leave my dog here ever and I wouldn't recommend anyone else to as well. read more

Used their self dog wash. For $21 it was not a good value. The soap seemed watered down. Most self dog places have a few options for different types of soaps. They don't have a hook for large dogs to use the dryer, so I had to hold his leash while trying to dry. The tubs had major splash back. Was asked how long I would be by an employee who wanted to clean, I was only there for ten min and felt rushed. Also no free treats? Lame. Will not return. read more

Took my dog here twice. First time they didn't give me back my dog's food bowl, she had mysterious whelps... The second time, they _maybe_ gave her one scoop of food over the course of two and a half days. I mean she looks emaciated and that's no exaggeration. She came with exactly 6 flush scoops for 3 days (2 scoops once daily). There's at least 2/3 of her food left. Help me do the math Edit: I did the math. I used the same scoop to see how many portions were left and there was between 5 and 6 scoops left. So from 6:30 AM on Friday to 5:30 PM Sunday, they fed my dog less than 1 scoop of food. read more

This place takes absolute terrible care of their dogs by the employee's and management and admins do not seem to care at all no matter how many times these issues were brought up to them. Most of the staff is heavily under qualified and don't care for the dogs well being. Some of the staff is great, but most could simply care less. Due to his age and other health issues, he does not need to be placed under anesthesia just to remove the sebaceous keratin producing cyst. How dare you place the blame on me and insinuate that I am neglecting my dog and placing his safety and well-being at risk. I have read many other complaints/reviews about this business, and your business always tries to place the blame on the customer. Since I started bringing my dog to get groomed there, out of those nine times you mentioned, only about three (3) of those appointments were actually on time as scheduled. I think it is interesting that you chose only to respond about the cyst and not the other complaints I alleged about your business. You cannot deny the issues with employee turnover. You also cannot deny the issues with cancelling appointments. I am not talking about today's appointment...I am talking about other appointments that were scheduled and were unilaterally cancelled without any reason with advanced notice. Also, I've had several appointments where the groomer was late or did not even show to work that day with no reason provided. I appreciate the well wishes for my dog, but I know it's not genuine. Honestly, it's the ONLY reason our pet needed to go to the groomer at all and this business just IGNORES the request. We liked but didn't love Lucky and Lady's daycare for our new tripod rescue Gideon. The staff is wonderfully friendly, it's easy to get in, they tire your dog out, and they have webcams so you know your dog is engaged and supervised all day. I think it may not be the right place for dogs dealing with trauma, though. The staff never took much time to get Gideon comfortable when he was nervous, but instead just pulled him forcibly in by a slip-lead around his neck. Gideon always came home significantly more stressed than he was when he arrived, and would often have days of explosive diarrhea after. We took him to Lucky and Lady at least five times, but this never improved. Since starting Gid at a new daycare, we haven't had this problem. The staff at Lucky and Lady also didn't remember Gideon, even though we saw several of the same people multiple times. They definitely weren't as engaged with Gideon as they were with some of the designer/purebred puppies at daycare. I also think maybe they oversell their "structured play." All in all, I think Lucky and Lady is a wonderful place for young puppies or dogs with no baggage! But if your dog, like ours, is skittish, has a history of abuse, or is even just a rescue, you may be better off finding a more local, less corporate, less impersonal, small business daycare. read more

I like the convenience of L&L. I like the location, cleanliness, friendliness of the staff. I have returned multiple times, and will very likely continue. I am happy for this business to exist nearby, and have recommended them to friends already. And will continue to do so. I am hesitant to post this as I typically never post comments online, as they live forever. However, in this case I feel this might be helpful for prospective customers, and the business owner to understand. I find the lack of transparency in pricing, in the digital age, to be unacceptable. I do not fully understand what I am paying for when I make a reservation, and am unable to price compare against experiences when making an online reservation. As a customer, I am asked to make a reservation request, and then it is approved, and a cost shows up. I have no understanding of what the cost might be for different experiences, and if I would even decide as the customer that I see value in a different experience, and decide to purchase it. L&L also sent a notice in February 2022 that rates would be increasing. But from what to what? I just completed an additional visit for my doggo last week, and cannot compare apples to apples. I have never received an itemized receipt at checkout. So I looked online, and while there is a receipt, mine are all listed as "special", or "customized", so I don't know what I am comparing, or how the price increase impacted me directly. Please do not view this as any slight against my willingness to spend for my fur babies. I just want to clearly understand what I am spending, when, for what services, and the value I might be receiving as a customer for selecting a different experience. I paid to fly at the front of the plane for my vacation last week. I did this because online tools make it transparent to understand the value of what I am paying for. I believe that in the digital age, transparency wins the day, even if this encourages me to spend more. Please just make this easier for your customers to understand - and please, please, offer an itemized receipt with full details at checkout, that does not obfuscate details with a line item that simply reads "special", or "customized". Regarding the request for a tip at time of checkout - I would like to offer this for thought. I have not brought my cat to L&L yet. We have a sitter that checks on him when we are away. Her pricing is very transparent, and all available online for me to see. And she has an app, not just a website! So easy to use. All of this aside, she checks my mail for me, and moves packages inside the house from the porch, and sends me a "report card" for the cat visit everyday. I am paying for a service to feed my cat, refill the water bowl, and for her to hangout with him for ~30min or so each day. She doesn't have to check my mailbox, or bring packages in from the front porch. That's value above what I expect for the service I am paying for. And that gets a tip from me every time. L&L is making it difficult for me to understand what I am paying for to begin with. So what am I leaving a tip for? Thank you for all you do to keep my fur baby well while I am away. read more

I've used luck and lady before and had a okay experience the first time they lost my pets items they arrived with and had to reimburse me this time I am appalled by how I've been treated . I set a reservation and deposit months ahead of time specifically asked if due to the nature of my travel plans if I could pay the deposit for an extra day or two on both the front end and back end in case of being late and was told no problem . I arrive the day of my flight and am told that because I wasn't present on the first day they gave my reservation away in spite of me specifically asking if being 1 day late would be fine when I paid my deposit . He was shaking and very scared but the groomer, Jessie, was very patient with him. she gave me tips for his care and spent her time making sure all my questions were answered. I confirmed with a male and a female before coming in via phone about my appointment too which is the most frustrating part.... Also before making an appointment you must send in vet records, chip number, and more plus basic info like weight, color, AGE, ect. So to be told when I get there my puppy was too young for a haircut there I so pissed!! This shop is in the city with not much parking and front desk lady took forever to greet me.. I have been taking my dog there for over a year with no problem. Recently due to several groomera leaving at once they have been short staffed. It took four hours to groom due to new groomer and when my boyfriend went to pick her up the manager was rude and belittling him for reason and threatened to call security. The staff even stepped and advise tge discounted it 20% not sure of her attitude she was the only upset. Please provide with the skills to be a manager and dealing with the public. I have been bringing my puppy here once a month for almost a year now and have unfortunately went through 3 groomers. I'm not sure what retention is like for groomers here, but I would love to have a consistent groomer who actually knows how to cut toy poodles. You have to be very specific about what you want and even still sometimes the mark is just missed. Their self wash services are super convenient and always clean, which I can totally appreciate. The staff is mostly friendly except for one older lady that works the front desk (she's very rude). The owner is a nice guy who knows a lot about dogs and what they need. The staff is also very sweet with the dogs which is what really matters. I generally use Lucky & Lady for their grooming service (specifically Amanda)! I decided to board my Poodle for a brief stay while away on vacation. I schedule 4 nights boarding, with daycare and a bath prior to pick-up. We have never used the boarding services at this establishment so I wasn't sure what to expect! I dropped Loki off on Thursday afternoon. When I checked the cameras to see how he was doing I rarely saw him in the play area. What I did see was the staff sitting staring at their phones inattentive to the dogs peeing/pooping on the floor. I picked Loki up on Monday and he was brought out to me with poop all over his tail and hind legs. After requesting they clean him up, he was returned with poop up his front legs which I hadn't seen initially. At this point I requested that he be given a full bath. I ultimately ended up taking him home wet! After getting home he drank 2 bowls of water at one time and had really bad diarrhea which lasted for 4 days. We were having to take him out multiple times during the night and twice as frequent during the day. He is just now returning to normal. I did not receive any status report in terms of his diet, bowel patterns, demeanor or other activity. I don't know how long or when his diarrhea started. And, I did not receive his doggy blanket that was sent to provide him with a sense of home. At this point I should be refunded the tip which was paid before I saw him, the purchased bath that I'm not even sure he received and a discount on the stay. We will never use the boarding services at Lucky & Lady again. It was traumatic for my pup and my family. read more
