We both ordered the gyro special and were very satisfied! It was the perfect portion size and we left feeling full. The gyro meat was melt in your mouth tender with a nice crisp on several pieces. The kabob was a little chewy but tasted delicious. The salad was da bomb! Fresh lettuce cucumbers and tomatoes with olives and feta cheese! We were in heaven. The waiters were very friendly and accommodating and helped a with just navigating the stairs! We were very appreciative. Nice small diner with decent seating and spacing. Will definitely return!!

4.5 Last night we visited the Costco in Lawrence, which we've done many times before. We always noticed a very unassuming little restaurant right across the street, but never thought much of it. We finally looked it up and decided to give it a try....I am angry it took us so long to try it! Lucky Boy Restaurant was fantastic. A smallish no frills place, that serves some wonderful food. The Greek salads offered with our dishes were served first and were large; fresh and tasty. There was a Moussaka special with chicken and it was absolutely fabulous. The sauce, the eggplant, the chicken and bechamel were all outstanding. We also got the gyro special plate which was served with pita and tzatziki. Probably the best gyro, we've had. It wasn't greasy with excellent texture and flavor. It also came with a stick of souvlaki which was great and unbelievably tender. It was hard to stop eating it all. They also have homemade desserts. We took a piece of coconut cake home and it was scrumptious. We are really keeping kicking ourselves for ignoring Lucky Boy for so long, but no more.

The staff was so friendly from the moment we walked in. Great little spot with plenty of parking in the back as well. I got the Gyro Special Platter and it was as delicious!

The waiters were so kind, and this was easily the best Salmon I've ever had. Will definitely come back here just for the salmon next time I'm in NY!

If you come to Costco, this place should be your stop as well. It is right across, food and service is amazing!! Finding parking is hectic but you can figure it out. First they serve you some fresh bread and olive oil as soon as you sit down. Daily specials are always available. We started with some mousakka dinner as a starter, will have it all the time. Got the gyro platter, fillet of sole, fresh chips. Gyro platter is so delicious, come with bot only gyro also a skewer of souvlaki, salad, pita and yogurt sauce. Will definitely come back again!! Oh almost forgot, ekmek kataifi for desert was also a superb!

Went here on a whim while staying near JFK. You gotta go. The locals will talk your ears off and the food was amazing.

I really wanted to like Aura, the location is close to me, the interior is beautiful, the menu…read morelooked great, the seating was cozy and dim, the drinks were lovely. We went the first time for restaurant week and ordered: Zucchini chips: large portion, was a good start! could have used salt but that's easy enough for us to add. Whipped ricotta crostini: perhaps because of restaurant week the portion was much smaller than in photos and of the 3 crostini, 1 was badly burnt and the other 2 must have sat in the pass for a bit too long as they were soggy. Branzino: this was an uncharge on the restaurant week menu, the fish portion was large and cooked well but it was very unseasoned, there was no carb, just over broccolini, which was surprising there wasn't a grain, potato, anything given the upcharge. Seafood linguini: this was the most disappointing because it doesn't have a description on the menu but the name matches the 'linguine al mare'. It's an identical dish except they omit the scallops without noting that on the menu, it was very bland, didn't come with lemon, were 2 slices of pickled chili which were great when you got them but more were needed. Personally, I would go for drinks and vibes - albeit the drinks are expensive, cocktails are $19.
