It's downtown casual clothes made to be mixed and matched for the minimalist. Madewell also mainly focuses on women. Their parent company is J. Crew.  They are currently running their end of season sales with an added 40% during the second week of January.  I walked in for the first time and felt I have found my new store. They carry everything from jeans, sweaters, hats, gloves, jewelry, handbags, pants, sunglasses, and some chic knick knacks for the home.  The only sad thing about this place is, as per the salesclerk, they only carry petite sizes online and it's only for jeans as they were originally famous for their denim clothing. Hence, the minus a star. The good news is they do carry a few sweaters in sized XXS. Not many but there are some. What I love most is not only are the extremely helpful sales people but their clothes which speaks for themselves. They are well made with clean structured lines. I found many of their styles of clothes to be classics and to be treasure for years to come.  Do I recommend this store? Oh Yes! I would advise you to go now and not miss out on the sales because let's be honest, who doesn't love a sale?

They're genuinely just as happy as I am, partly because I do pick up few beautiful clothes, but they are happy to see their customers are happy. The staffs are friendly and helpful, with their help and the great sales going on, I walked out the door with bags along with wonderful shopping experience! I stopped into David's once with my daughter and didn't find anything I liked. I waited a few more months and went back again, and I'm soooo glad I did! I didn't even have an appointment, but the kindest and helpful associate named Rochelle , must be a sign because that's my mother's name greeted me and said she would help me . Rochelle was finishing up with another customer. This customer said to me that Rochelle was so helpful! Practically in tears I told Rochelle all about my negative experiences with gown shopping. She assured me we would find something and that the shop had new gowns in stock from when I was there the first time! Grabbed a few to try one, found the most stunning gown and once she grabbed the proper shoes and under garments it was instant joy! You must come here, the entire staff was fabulous and the styles and reasonable prices make it a no brainer!

I walked over to two employees who were deep in conversation and before I could reach them they abruptly turned and walked away. My entire objective was to purchase a pair of shoes at a local brick and mortar store rather than order them from Amazon unfortunately I was not able to do that. I picked up a white pair with a fun design that will be perfect for the summer. I asked hubby if he liked these bootie looking ones and we picked them up. See pictures below. The staff were super friendly and provided info about the sales and various styles. Honestly, you could go crazy with buying them for the various holidays and seasons. They even have flip flops now. I'll see how comfy they are to walk around in, but I think I'll be back for more.
