We were looking for a day care when our daughter was 18 months old. At that very young age we didn't want to put her in a Montessori. My son used to attend this daycare when it was owned my Ms. Yesenia and Ms. Rosa. It was sold to a different owner. The new owner never properly introduced themselves to the parents or explained what we could expect under the new management. They raised the weekly price by $60 with no explanation on why the price was required (and that price did not include any meals). My son started coming home with horrific diaper rash. According to the child care app, his diaper wasn't getting changed until 1030-11am despite being dropped off at 7am. He would scream and cry every time we tried to change his diaper and would also cry "it hurts!" We started dropping off a water each day because we didn't know whether he was getting fresh clean water every day. When we would pick up his water bottles, they would smell funky like they hadn't been cleaned in weeks. My son developed a fear of wearing sweatshirts and jackets because no one was taking his sweatshirt off and he would overheat. After a few months we removed our toddler and it was the best decision ever. read more

I cannot express how grateful I am for the wonderful experience my two toddlers had at this daycare and preschool. The nutritious meals provided daily ensured that my children were not only well-fed but also healthy. Ms.Jyothsna makes sure that kids stay away from processed foods and sugary snacks. They would only serve fresh fruits. The advanced curriculum kept them engaged and excited to learn, fostering a love for education from an early age. Additionally, I noticed a significant improvement in their social skills, as they interacted with their peers in a nurturing environment. The incorporation of shlokas into their routine added a unique cultural element that I truly appreciated. I can't say enough how amazing the experience was. When I was first looking for a daycare, my lease was coming to an end so I had the freedom and flexibility to search valley-wide for a daycare, which was my first priority. I researched and toured daycares throughout Phoenix, Tempe, Glendale, Avondale, Surprise, Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa, Queen Creek- you name it. It was a common trend that the daycares were either outrageously priced, or seemed concerning for either cleanliness or safety reasons. I was feeling very discouraged. Then my mom and I happened to find Sunny Days Learning Center in Chandler. They were quick to schedule a tour, very friendly and professional, the facility was everything that I was looking for, and they were very reasonably priced in comparison! Thank God we found Sunny Days! My daughter started there when she was three months old and has now been there for the past two years, and I have zero complaints. The teachers are amazing, the kids all seem happy every time I am there, and my daughter has been excited to be dropped off ever since she was a baby. She used to smile a big, gummy smile and reach for her teachers when she was an infant and now she runs to the front door and runs to her class in excitement. She has been through the baby room, the ones room and is now in the twos room and she has learned so much in every stage (since I have definitely not sat down with her to teach her her ABCs, how to count, her animals, colors, songs, etc.) The facility is small but it is almost better that way- she shares her class with only a few other kids and they are all very close, and they have tons of fun playing outside as well. Sunny Days Learning Center has been our #1 go to for daycare for our kids! They have loved both of my boys and have treated us like family since day one! Working in law enforcement it always makes ithard to find a place you trust to watch your kids when you are at work and have to be away from them and with Sunny Days I trust each one of them that work there 1000%! we are so lucky to have them in our lives! My daughter has gone here since she was 3 months old (almost 4 now) and my son as well (almost 2). I love this place! While some of the reviews are negative I disagree with them. There are 2 sides to every story. The teachers are great and really care for the kids. I feel so confident with the owners and the director/assistant director/teachers. I definitely recommend this place. When I was first looking for daycares this was the last place I checked out. I had made a decision to go somewhere else but had already scheduled a tour for Sunny Days. I'm so glad I went on that tour. The moment my husband and I left the tour we knew it was the right place. That is why we are still here....4 years later. Yes, some changes have been made with the staff but that is to be expected. I was heartbroken when some of the staff left because my family has been going here for years and we had built relationships with those staff members. However, I have seen many new and exciting changes in the last few months. I love the Brightwheel app that Sunny Days uses. I can check on my children all day long through the app. The staff are always doing fun things with the kids and they have a good time. I love being able to ask my kids what they did at school that day and their responses are always great. Not every child is perfect and there are issues that come up but they are dealt with by the staff in a fair way. As for a different review where it referenced the directors child and the assistant directors child.....I know both of those kids (from my interactions with the center) and they are sweet kids. From my experience and most importantly my kids experience I highly recommend Sunny Days! My kids have such a great time here and they love it. Good points: it's clean and kids are well looked after, although the teachers play very loud music while the kids are napping. Never understood why it has to be played at full blast, or played at all in fact. Even if it's classical, it disrupts sleep when the volume is not low. Bad points: there is one teacher in particular that is extremely rude for no reason. This woman it seems, has had no concept of manners at all. Why isn't she at least told by the owners that it it is good business sense to simply say good morning and welcome the children who come in. Shame. A smile costs nothing at all and makes a huge difference. Sunny Days: I have been one of your most devoted customers. At first we were reluctant to leave our fourteen-month-old child at any daycare. I checked out Tutor Time on McClintock and was impressed by the fancy facilities, though it was by far the most expensive option at over $1,000 per month for full time daycare. Then we tried the YMCA. Part time. They were terrible. Our child cried every single time we took him there. It was so bad, we cancelled our membership there and even found a different gym. Then we checked out Sunny Days Learning Center. My wife thought the place was dark, and the facilities seemed adequate, but nothing as fancy as Tutor Time. We ended up taking our child to Tutor Time. We had to fill out all these forms and I'd made it very clear that our child was not to have any meat. Only poultry and fish. We told the manager. No meat. Then we get a report back a couple weeks later and they'd fed our child a hamburger. We were willing to forgive one mistake, but a week later, they fed him ham. That was it. We decided to give The Sunny Days Learning Center a try. I wish it had been the first place we'd picked. It's like a big family there. They cared for our child like he was their very own. There was no rigid schedule of learning. A lot of love and attention. And our child loves it. He's almost 1 1/2 now and he never cries when he goes there, and his communication skills have improved markedly since he's been attending Sunny Days. The manager is the sweetest woman. And they're all very experienced and friendly there. I suggest you look past the facilities and at what is the most important thing: Safety, care, love, and last, but not least, free-range non-institutionalized learning. I had a hard time trying to find a good place to take my daughter. There were a lot of people who quit on me. I finally decided to opt for a business over a home care. I'm so glad I did, because I don't have to worry about them deciding not to watch kids anymore! They have a little curriculum here, they play outside a lot when weather permits, and they always have some kind of fun seasonal craft or project to work on. The main caregiver Brenda is very upfront with everything and their pricing is not a mystery, which I greatly appreciate. I definitely trust these people with my daughter. One time my daughter got hurt on the side of her face, and they immediately notified us through their app and sent pictures of the incident, they also treated it for her. read more

So I called in as I needed a place to take my 4 year old son tomorrow being Friday ( today is Thursday) & the lady who answered said her name was Brenda. So I simply asked her I saw on your website you guys have a daily price does that mean you take drop ins &' before I could tell her for which day she immediately said no we're packed with children! I just hung up after that. One I never told you which day I needed to drop him in. To preface- I've worked at Children's World, as a nanny and a preschool teacher for several years. I'm also K-12 certified, have spent over 10 years teaching everything from 1st grade through high school and am currently working in administration. I'm picky with where I send my children. My two sons have been going to Sunny Days for several months and we're very pleased with the center. My oldest is 3 and was struggling with potty training at school and home, Within the first week he was there, Ms. Brenda had him in underwear all day at school- and he's so proud of himself! I was anxious starting at a new center as we'd had some negative experiences at our previous center and my son has some separation anxiety. On our first day, all of the "big kids" sang a welcome song to my boys and then my oldest was introduced to each child individually. He gave them high fives and then Ms. Brenda gave him a buddy for the day, they held hands and my son told me I could go with a big smile on his face. I was blown away! I love the academic set up here. with separate preschool, literacy and imaginative play centers. They go outside and play each morning and have several teachers available at all times. I feel like the ratio here is far below requirements with less than 50 kids in the whole center. Every time I pick up, my son is playing with something new and he doesn't want to leave. The set up really is so effective and it makes me feel like my kids are getting a lot of individualized attention. My younger son in is the baby room and is a preemie with some delays. I expressed a need for him to stay in an infant room longer when I came to tour and I was assured that wouldn't be a problem- that they don't move the babies to the toddler room until they're ready, not by age. Security is great- they give each parent an individual code so people can't just tell someone how to get in. They also do monthly parent's night out- which is SO great! I love that I can bring my kids to be with their friends for the same cost that I'd pay a teenager to watch them! The owners, Mike and Lindy are a husband and wife team who are the owners, both worked in education before opening the center and they and know what they're doing! They purchased the center a little over a year ago, so the negative review below isn't applicable now. My son has only been going here 2 weeks, however he has been in daycare since he was 5 month old. Sunny Days is amazing. From the first time I called to check prices they were kind and informative. On his first day we were greater by name, and his teacher Ms. Brenda always greats my son with a big hug, even if she's in thw middle of class. He is almost potty trained which his old school told us he wasn't ready for. The difference between his old center and this one is night and day AND all for the same price. First impression: my 2.5 year old has been going for about a week now and so far, so good. She was previously in an in-home daycare for over a year and half but we moved out here from los angeles and found Sunny Days. Being she's in a new, unfamiliar place my daughter has been crying a bit at drop off but they seem to be doing really well and trying their best to keep her calm and reassure her. Her crying, however, is not a concerning cry (i.e. mistreatment, mean teachers, etc) but rather some hesitation since it's brand new to her. I anticipated my daughters reaction to a new daycare but it hurts nonetheless as a parent to leave your child in distress but they've helped to ease my concerns and I feel she is safe and well cared for here. My favorite thing is that they use an app called Brightwheel that they update often throughout the day with your child's activities; check in, check out, nap times, lunch time and occasional pictures of them playing. You can keep track of your child's day and message the teachers as well. Glad I found Sunny Days and I'm really looking forward to continued care for my daughter here. read more

I had to return to work when my son was 6 weeks old and my husband and I were very nervous to leave him at such a young age but we met Mike and Lindy who then introduced us to Mrs. Rhonda and we knew immediately he would be in great hands. We unfortunately had to move and don't have him at this facility anymore but I wish we lived closer still because Rhonda took such great care of him. Sunny Days was exactly what I was looking for!!!! I went back to work when my daughter was 6 months old. She has been at Sunny Days for 18 months now. When I went to some of the larger learning centers they seemed "institutional" and I didn't so much trust the smaller child care location. Just as in GoldiLocks and Three Bears, Sunny Days was Juuuuuuust right! They are clean, hands on with the kids, always sweet. My daughter is excelling. When I watch her compared to other barely 2 years olds I am blown away at her actions, words, knowledge, etc... I 100% chalk this up to the education that she is receiving at Sunny Days. In addition to the loving the children, the owners and teachers love the parents too. I cannot tell you how many times they could tell I just "needed a minute" or a hug or to talk. They are all family to me and have been there for my daughter and I in more ways than I can count. I have a child that is currently enrolled at Sunny Days and was disappointed to see the inaccurate review below. I happened to notice this review and had to set the record straight. I visited this facility when I was expecting and have always been treated like family by all the staff members. Teacher/Infant ratio: Super low. I did my homework, used the AZ state daycare search, and visited ALL competitors in the east valley. Name brand, Corporations, smaller facilities - I checked them all out. I actually left one facility in tears because I was shocked by the amount of babies crawling around a tiny room with one bored teacher trying to contain the mayhem. Sunny Days has the lowest teacher/infant ratio in the area. This is what attracted me to the facility originally! Food/Storage: I have opened my son's cabinet on many occasions (without warning) to find that it has been maintained and organized. Everything is labeled and orderly to prevent mix-ups. If I forget to label my food I can count on the staff to label and date it for my son's consumption. The staff wears gloves and maintains a clean playroom for the infants. I have a fine eye for carpet choking hazards and haven't come across anything that was concerning here. A huge selling point with Sunny Days is my ability to manage my son's diet. I want my son to have the best, freshest food possible so I make my own food at home. The staff has been very accommodating with my requests around his special non-processed diet. I'm totally high maintenance, but they are very patient with me. Other daycare facilities require that babies to stop using a bottle and transition to a sippy cup or they have strict corporate policies. Sunny Days allows me to be in the driver's seat and manage his diet/ feedings. Infant Room: The previous review said that all the toys came from Goodwill? I disagree. I have personally sat down and pulled the toys out with my son and was impressed by the range and cleanliness of toys in the room. I have never seen any weird crust or dried food on the toys. They are all nicely stacked in short cabinets or baskets that are accessible to the kids. On another note, most pedestrians actually don't recommend walkers because of risks around head injury so daycares don't allow them due to liability. If a daycare had walkers I would be concerned! On another note, you cannot have pillows in an infant room! That's a huge SIDS risk and I'm wondering if the review below is even legit because any new parent knows pillows and babies don't mix! Infant Curriculum: My 11 month old son has numerous activities such as: Water Play, Painting, Coloring Macaroni Necklaces, Family Photo Booklets, Fourth of July Hats, Body Painting, Color and Number Education, Songs. He also gets read books that help his personal development, my personal favorite being "Teeth are not for Biting" - LOL! All of these activities are logged on a daily report that is distributed to parents. Teacher Education: The infant caretaker is not 18 years old - I actually know this because it was her birthday last week and I asked her how old she was. I feel that it's rude to disclose a women's age on the internet, but I can assure you that she competent, well educated, motherly, and caring professional. I'm guessing that you might be referring to Miss LeAnn, but you can't assume someone is 18 just because they are young and pretty. Outdoor Facilities: Sunny Days is located in a commercial shopping center at the corner of Dobson and Chandler. The facility has a huge fenced in play-yard in the rear of the building. Security: There are two gated entryways to gain access to the play areas. During my pickups and drop-offs I have always seen the gates securely closed to prevent any through traffic. The door buzzer rings to indicate any visitors and I am always greeted by a staff member. As a mother who works full time I feel that my child is safe and happy at this facility. We have been customers since 2012 and been happy with the level of service provided on a daily basis. They allow parents to stop by at any time and check on their kids. I had some facilities tell me that I have to call first. Can you imagine calling first to see your child? Weird. After my maternity leave ended and I had to return to work, I would routinely stop over on my lunch break to visit my son. My experiences with the center and staff have been positive and I can also say that my husband is also pleased with Sunny Days as well. read more

I absolutely loved the first phone call I had with Lindy. I toured it, loved the open concept and the fact the owners are a family, parents and very educated in education. However, the turnover rate, the unqualified kids they hire who are constantly on their cell phones, and the complete lack of any consistency or any learning going on, I would tell you from experience, there are better places. The daily sheets are a joke and never appropriately filled out. My son never brings home anything. No letter of the week, nothing! Lindy is lovely but she is not there all of the time. Mike is completely rude and unprofessional and calls us "customers" which we are, but I just have always thought it super weird. We trust you people with our kids? My son has been in some scuffles lately and they can NEVER tell me the whole story, because there are way too many kids for one or two aids on their cell phones to monitor. I have had many signs to move on, it was not convenient or handled well but my son deserves the BEST and so does your child/children. read more

None of the ladies have their certification they are all "in school or almost finished". My daughter was only there a few months because she kept saying the little boys were hitting her & she didn't like going. When I asked the director what was happening she stated that they encourage the kids to use their words and not violence yet even after it was still happening. She never said she would talk to the other parents or anything. Then when we pulled our daughter out we received a letter from them stating we owed for 2 months. How irresponsible of them!? My husband dealt with it because I didn't have the energy. It made no sense that someone there told me my husband paid but when we pull our daughter out suddenly we owe. Plus they only take cash. My son has been going to Sunny Days since he was 12-weeks old. As a new mother, I was skeptical to send my son anywhere, however, I was recommended to Sunny Days by sister-in-law. My niece and nephew had gone there, so I thought I would try it out. That was almost four years ago. My son still attends Sunny Day and he loves it. Every morning when we get to school, Ms. Brenda will greet him with a hug; which melts my heart and makes me feel good about leaving him. When picking him up, he'll see me and turn around and continue playing. I usually have to drag him out of there because he doesn't want to leave. I can't express how grateful I am for Sunny Days and all of the teachers there. They are kind, patient, loving, and have the children's best interest at heart. The curriculum is outstanding. I love when my son comes home and he's learned something new. I have suggested this school to many friends and family and I will continue to do so. I currently have a child enrolled at sunny days and am greatly impressed by everything this facility has to offer. All of the staff are extremely pleasant and I have never had any qualms while leaving my child in there care. The teacher to infant ratio is the best I have found as well. Everytime while picking up my child or dropping him off I have never had a hassle or come across anything to raise any concern at all. The toys in the play room are certainly not from goodwill as all of them all are clean and acceptable for child handling. My wife also has never had any issues with the staff or facility. There outside gates have always been firmly closed and never left open. The food storage area is very well maintained and labeled. This makes me extremely happy seeing as my child has food alergies, which gives me one less thing to worry about and as a parent that is alway a good thing. Everytime I drop my child off I feel like I am leaving them with family. All and all this place is great the staff is fantastic and caring and treats you and your child like family I strongly recommend this place and wouldn't trust anyone else with the care of my child.
