Recently, one of the pipes connected to our water softener in the garage suddenly burst late at night, around 11:00 PM. A large amount of water sprayed everywhere and flooded the garage floor. We contacted two other plumbing companies we found online, but unfortunately, neither of them responded. Thankfully, we found American Plumbing & Rooter. When we called, Rich answered the phone right away and was incredibly helpful. He quickly scheduled an appointment for us, and a plumber arrived at 8:30 the next morning to replace the damaged water softener. We were very impressed with how efficient, friendly, and professional they were. The plumber was patient and took the time to explain why the pipe had burst and gave us very helpful recommendations to prevent similar problems in the future. Their follow-up service was also outstanding. A few days later, Sunday night, we were surprised to discover that we had no hot water. We texted Rich to ask what might have happened, and he responded very quickly. He explained that when the water softener pipe burst, the large amount of water spraying out may have extinguished the pilot light on the nearby water heater. He then patiently walked us through the steps to check it. Sure enough, the pilot light was out, exactly as he had explained. He also guided us step by step on how to relight it, and we were able to get our hot water back. We are extremely happy with the service we received from American Plumbing & Rooter. Hired American Plumbing today for a leak at the shut off valve on our toilet this morning. They were responsive, friendly, and the most reasonably priced. Most other companies wanted to charge a travel fee to provide an estimate or insisted on coming out to provide an estimate and I didn't feel like wasting half a day just to compare prices. American was able to be at my house within just a couple hours of sending out pricing requests and got the job done in under 30 minutes.
