The quality of the stitching was amazing. The color of the stitch matched my uniform dress. Everything looked very professional and you can tell they paid attention to detail. I also appreciated how transparent the man who took in my dress was from the beginning. Gave me exact pricing, payment on the spot with credit card reader, and told me exactly 10 days from the day I dropped it off will be ready for pick up. Once alterations were completed. I needed tailoring this summer for a black-tie formal bridesmaid dress and my immediate thought was to go to Kim's, despite the fairly long drive 1-way from Tempe. Due to the drive, I called ahead to confirm they were open (it was a random Friday afternoon). The gals running the shop are super nice and do great work! I needed ~3inches taken up on the dress for 3 layers which ended up being way more expensive than I thought, but Kim told me it's due to the layers. Fair enough. She quoted 2 weeks turnaround and it was indeed ready at the day quoted. I think if you don't give them a hard deadline, it may take longer than you think. So if there is a specific event/date you need something, make it abundantly clear.

They offer a wide range of services including dry cleaning, alterations, leather & suede cleaning, rug and drape cleaning, wash & fold, and even wedding dress preservation. I brought in 2 linen shirts, 1 pair of linen pants, and 1 pair of dress pants for dry cleaning, and everything came back looking fantastic. What really stood out was the linen pants. They had a stain at the bottom of one leg that other dry cleaners either missed or couldn't remove. Island Dry Cleaners got it out without any issue. Every piece was also crisply pressed. The service was fast and friendly. I dropped everything off Tuesday morning and received a text notification Wednesday late morning saying my clothes were ready for pickup -- a full day earlier than expected. Pricing was $7.50 per item, which is a little higher than what I'm used to paying, but absolutely worth it for the level of quality and service received. I'll definitely be back.
