However, Cuzzo (also a tourist) who arrived a day earlier discovered this place and suggested we go here - so close to the hotel we were staying at and on the way to Jellystone's! The goal was to get brewskis, wine, sides, maybe some chips, and of course, tons of meat! There were 4 of us so we all split the list and went on our way. My homework is for side dishes and the proteins. Went to the back and found all the meat I needed. Score. Went to the deli and got a couple of side salads. The lady behind the counter (ugh, I can't remember her name!) was so friendly and welcoming and funny! It really shows she loves what she does. Overall, the store has an old-school, the neighborhood store feel. I really liked it! I'm glad to be able to support a local-ish type of store rather than those biggies like HEB. It may be awhile (if at al) before coming back to this 'hood, but should that be the case, this is will be my grocery go-to!

Praise the Lord. I walked in and it's pretty crammed in there. However, this DG has fresh Fruits and Vegetables! They have a good selection of drinks and snacks. I was able to walk away with a round Glass Dish with a light blue lid that was decorated with Spring Flowers. I also got a Pink Ice Cream dish and with a matching spoon. The Cashier was not very friendly sort of bland. Oh well. He was probably unhappy because, he was working for the weekend. If you can, I would suggest stopping by here.
