It would be awesome if they had some kolaches with just cheese or were sweet, so while I had one with ham and cheese and one with sausage in cheese, she was at least able to enjoy a strawberry and cream danish as well as the always awesome poppyseed kolache. It's possible that a pecan square was purchased for later consumption, too. The self-serve coffee was great and we enjoyed all of this inside at a comfortable table. And after that, more shopping. So much great stuff to choose from here and very, very clean restrooms. If you're overwhelmed by that massive baked goods counter, just ask for recommendations. They'll get you sorted for sure! I bought a sandwich and some water and got out of there. I will never return. In fairness to them, the place was surprisingly clean, well organized, seemed well managed. The staff seemed nice enough - just working hard to ring up all the people buying their tchotchkes.

I walked in planning to spend maybe 20 minutes max just to buy a few souvenirs, snacks, and a few things to take home to my kids and family. Shortly after I walked in, I was approached and told I wasn't allowed to be there because I came in a semi truck. I explained that I was only going to be inside for a few minutes to buy a few items, but I was told they would not allow me to purchase anything. I was also told, "Unfortunately truckers are not welcome." Those were his exact words. That was extremely disappointing to hear. Truck drivers are a huge part of what keeps this country moving. We deliver the products businesses sell every single day, including the products sitting on Buc-ee's shelves. To be told we're not welcome and not even allowed to make a purchase is sad and frustrating. Because of this experience, I will never return to Buc-ee's again, not even in my personal vehicle. I'd much rather spend my money at a truck stop or any business that welcomes everyone and appreciates the people who help keep America moving.

I stopped to pump gas at Micky's on my way to Dallas. I started the pump and went inside to use…read morethe restroom. I go back out to the pump and there were 34 gallons/$99.00 charged. My 4Runner holds 23 gallons. I talked to the manger about it. He looks at the surveillance video and sees someone remove the pump nozzle from my suv and begin pumping in their truck. He says this happened last week too. Same store different pump number. So I ask for help. Can you give me a credit. His response, "no because it's your fault." "You shouldn't have left the pump". "W cannot take a loss just because you left the pump to come in here." Obviously this is a known issue at this store and the manger chose not to help the customer. Do not stop here unless you are okay with management sitting around wat hung you he ripped off.

As for the bathrooms, I think they were as clean as public restrooms could be. Of course it was 11am and day not half over but I've seen a lot of public restrooms unfortunately and this was one of the cleanest. Would I visit again? King Mart, a Phillips…read more66-branded filling station/convenience store in this Navarro County seat recently added a counter, some tables and cooking equipment to produce muy delicioso street-style Mexican food - tacos, burritos and quesadillas. Hamburgers are also in the menu. There is a lot of pass-through traffic between Dallas and Houston, so the owner decided to install a lunch counter. In talking with the owner, he admitted to never having been to Fuel City in Dallas to try their tacos. Instead, he brought in a local cook to develop their own menu. The meats - carne asada, barbacoa, pollo, lengua, etc. are all fresh. They also make their own salsas - hot habenero, mild red and mild green - and keep them in a warmer. I ordered the carne asada tacos on corn tortillas (flour is also available). You can watch as the cook dips the tortillas and then fries them up on the grill. They then place a generous amount of meat, onions and cilantro on top. They are served with lime wedges. The steak was seasoned nicely, dripping juices and very tender. At $1.39 each, the tacos are a tasty steal. This place does not have table cloths, silverware or china. Be prepared to sit at a small counter with locals or grab one of the few bench-style tables.
